Lace. With mesh shorts. How about that.

      • sienna elm

        They’re almost BLOOMERS!!

        • Daxx2513

          Points!

      • kimmeister

Paired with a jersey with denim shoulders.

    • James

I like a lot of the pieces but the shorts with the lace border are giving me life.

    • Chameleon

I LOVE the jacket coat in number 15 but I am a nonbeliever in the shorts with lace…

    • conniemd

What’s with all of the mismatched pants/shorts legs? Seems a new “thing” to have different patterns on each leg. And the lace borders make me think of women’s dresses with too long a slip that peek out from underneath. (Showing my age here). Feels like a fashion mistake to me.

      • Annaline39

        It’s snowing down south :-)

    • http://www.lippsisters.com/ Deborah Lipp

      HAHAHAHAHA! Poofy Pajama Party!

    • Mona_Visa

Men’s fashion does need to move forward. However, this looks like an Old Navy mix-n-match bin.

I think men need more beauty, more… feminine masculinity?

      • Gatto Nero

        Grace.

    • hughman

It’s like a nerd’s vague vague memory of what “casual” and “athletic” wear look like.

      • Shawn EH

Now is the time at Kolor ven vee dance!

      • Gatto Nero

Yes! The stiff fabrics and boxy, non-body-con shapes.

      • Thomas

I was gonna say “Nerd chic.”

    • demidaemon

These clothes look weirdly institutional and ugly. NO.

And I cannot with the lace hems on the shorts. Lace, as far as fashion goes, needs a long, extended break, at least twenty years in length, with the exception of wedding wear.

      • FuhUgh

Yes! They look like depressed inmates at the state psych hospital, complete with padded jackets.

    • Daenyx

No. No, no, no. Absolutely not.

    • MilaXX

It’s a little mental patient the way it’s styled here, but a lot of these pieces will work separately.

    • Frank_821

A lot of pieces look very stiff and more appropriate for fall

also what man would wear shorts with a lace hem finishing?

    • Glam Dixie

Thick and lumpy in parts and more suited to fall.

    • PinkyK

      Meh…

    • suzq

Those are some sad looking suit jackets. The sportswear, however, looks pretty interesting. My boys would even wear some of it.

    • Janice Bartels

Other than the Fair Isle cardigan and the lace trimmed shorts, I kind of liked this collection. I’m wondering how the differently horizontal/vertical stripe shorts would look with solid or less busy shirts.

    • Shawn EH

I like the padded jackets, and even some of the franken-ones.

      • Gatto Nero

I think those are the best pieces in this collection.

        • Shawn EH

The competing fabrics are integrated with cleverness.

    • schadenfreudelicious

No offense to the models, but as the mother of a 17 yr old son, these boys look like the parade of teenagers that pass through my house…

      • Beardslee

I hope those boys haven’t given up on life, as these children apparently had. What a gloomy bunch. And I agree, these look like the boys who come to my house and who I want to feed.

        • schadenfreudelicious

I guess if the desired look was teenage angst/ennui these models have it covered..

    • joything

The shirts, sweaters and jackets can stay. The shorts have to go home under police escort.

    • t bell

I didn’t start laughing but that doesn’t mean that I think that this collection has any merit.

    • ellatheingenue

      why

    • Matt Wołoszyn

Intriguing proportions, masterful mixing of materials (ribbed knit bib on a neoprene sweatshirt!), and playful color-blocking and pattern use. I think this is one of the better and most inventive menswear collection featured thus far.

    • Ginmaru

I like the cardigan. Talk about damning this collection with faint praise. sigh.

    • Imasewsure

Garanimals? Some serious toddler-izing going on in this collection

    • crash1212

Lace? Peeking out from the shorts? Huh. I’m really feeling pretty sorry for the mens these days. These collections pretty much suck.

    • Beardslee

Love the tailored jackets but that’s it. And am baffled why you’d chose joyless boys to help sell your clothes.

    • Patrick Scott

      Neoprene-R-Us?

    • Tami from Seattle

The first lace-shorts model looks like he’s being punished for bullying.

    • Gloriana Reginata

Why are all these clothes twice as wide as the men wearing them? They look like they’re practising for a David Byrne revival tour of ‘Stop Making Sense’. And I know everyone is taken aback by the lace-edged shorts, but my question is why any man would wear a baby blue plastic shirt with honest-to-god smocking on it. The colour blocking only emphasizes the ludicrous proportions of the pieces. Blech.

    • LeelaST

The eyelet/lace will be a hard sell. But WTF with all the things being worn all at once? I especially like the double-breasted blazer worn with workout shorts.

    • boweryboy

If it wasn’t so baggy and shapeless I would be all over this collection. I mean, the models are positively swimming in those clothes. In any case, it’s probably the best menswear collection so far.

    • Loola234

They are all so much happier without that wispy hair action – but still not quite sure about the pseudo-Croc footwear…

    • FibonacciSequins

If you don’t mind, I’m employing your “Jesus take the wheel” for this collection. Perforated gym shorts with lace edging? Really? Heavy denim mixed with other fabrics for pullover shirts? Nope. Stiff polyester (if that’s what it is)? That doesn’t look breathable, or particularly flattering in the way it’s used here. It reminds me of fast-food chain uniforms.

There are some interesting ideas here. I like a lot of the jackets, and once again the pants and shoes are wearable without being boring.

    • quiltrx

Yeah, I’m sure they’re going to sell MANY pairs of lace-bloomer-accented shorts.
At least the colors are interesting, especially some of the stripes.
      Those sandals are awful.

      • Coolekat

        The lace is hilarious.

    • Bad Idea Jeans

Maybe I just shouldn’t look at menswear collections. Maybe it’s me, and they’re not all comically bad, it’s just my inability to see past ill-fitting, boxy garments that appear to be cut for women paired with athletic shorts.

      • RedRaven617

No, it’s not you. This looks like polyester double knit from the 70s. Ugh.

    • H2olovngrl

I can *almost* get behind this. The sweaters are nice.

    • Andrea B

Is smocking the new thing for menswear? So confused. I have been smocking little girls’ dresses for 30 years. Good heavens.

    • FrigidDiva

These clothes look like they were all made out of the most uncomfortable fabric on Earth.

    • icm

Now why didn’t I think of lace hems on basket ball shorts! Good Lord.

    • torajima

      Ugh, dreadful.

    • PumpkintheCat

The thing I love the most about these menswear collections? The anticipation of the snark I will enjoy in the comments by the time I’ve scrolled down through all of the hideousness.

    • marlie

My first thoughts were “pajamas” and “prison uniform.” So I think that’s a “no” for this collection.

    • Patrick Cleary

I love some of the mixing and matching of styles and fabrics, especially in the shirts and jackets, but I think the shape of those pieces would have been better served by beefier models.

    • Daxx2513

They look like young adults from a Sci Fi movie where they raise clones for spare body parts. Need to avoid rough, binding fabrics so the skin and other commodities remain fresh and supple.

    • carrie

Would you like to look like you made your clothes yourself from scraps of old sporting equipment? Buy this stuff!

    • Ann VerWiebe

I think everything would look better on normal-sized guys. Jumping jeebus, give the models a sandwich or something!

    • http://armchairauthor.wordpress.com/ LesYeuxHiboux

      Clothes to be bullied in.

    • JynxTheCat

GOD i am SO SICK of fetuses modeling menswear. SERIOUSLY!
