KILLER jewelry, although it may be a bit too much. The dress is interesting and stunning too, but I wish the skirt didn’t flare out too much and just remained thin and column-like. Hair’s alright, she should have dialed back a bit on the makeup.

    • AC Simons

I agree! I would like this dress a lot more if it was not so drapey, and maybe a bit shorter (OK, less like a bedsheet).

    • Kent Roby

      The Gumby legs are hilarious.

  • @Biting Panda

Holy cannoli, that is a lot of bling.

    • Sarah

      Me likes…

    • demidaemon

It’s about damn time, though I wish she would have picked a different dress to attach the bling to.

  • charlotte

A bedsheet with jewellery is still a bedsheet.

  • FibonacciSequins

I like the dress, especially the view from the back. It suits her.

Can I have that bracelet please?

  • Danielle

I wish the hair was a little more interesting. White really suits her, non?

  • crash1212

Wow. I really like this. Sleek. Chic. Minor quibble – wish the pony was sitting a bit higher or that she’d done a little bun at the nape of her neck.

  • GillianHolroyd

Love the dress. Need to find a closeup of that beading.

  • Sobaika

There’s a floaty quality to this that I admire. Doesn’t reinvent the style wheel but it’s definitely seasonally appropriate.

  • alyce1213

Elegant, classic, summery — I love it all, even the slightly excessive (I’m not complaining) jewelry.

  • Constant Reader

She looks great. I don’t even mind the slightly-too-much jewelry because the rest of the outfit is sleek and elegant.

  • nannypoo

When you wear a whole bunch of rings, no matter how expensive they are, they look cheap.

  • lunchcoma

It’s lovely and summery and I like the blingy styling. Am I just in a good mood today, or are today’s celebrities doing a better job (minus Lena) than usual? Maybe they’re feeding off Lupita’s life force, making her slightly less fabulous than usual.

  • Lori

I like the dress, but I’m not crazy about the styling. Too many rings is too many and I would have preferred better hair. I also don’t like her make-up. It’s reading as a whole lotta slap for such a floaty dress. I understand that she wouldn’t want to look too daytime, but it’s just not working for me.

  • misstressofsylar

The way that skirt drapes makes it look like she’s wearing some balloony pants instead of the skirt it actually is.

  • decormaven

I think it would have been better with a killer pair of earrings and less rings.

  • Jacqueline Wessel

Overall, I like the floaty quality of this look. I wish she had done something more with her hair. And while I love all the jewelry (seriously LOVE), I hate the pasty thick manicure.

  • Coolekat

I would kill for anyone of those rings. However, this girl needs to pick one and leave the rest in the vault. It’s not that the dress has bling. It is fabulous as is she in it. For lack of a better expression, it’s tacky to wear so much jewelry. In another age we would have said that it isn’t ladylike. It spoils the whole effect.

    • smayper

Completely agree. The fact that there are so many pieces takes away from the wow factor that any one of them would have on its own. I agree on the ladylike — it’s as if she has all these jewels and MUST let you know that she does.

  • The Versatile Chef

Gorgeous. I know it’s a little boring, but I like boring.

  • Imasewsure

Kind of love all of this but I wish the fit was a little better…. maybe just the length a tad bit shorter. Even better if this had been pants though

  • ballerinawithagun

Hemmed correctly I would love it!

  • SugarSnap108

I love the back of the dress, and the whole look suits her. She could lose that huge honking ring on her index finger, though (and I live for rings).

  • This one has me stumped. Her, too.

  • formerlyAnon

She is MORE than pulling it off, she is showing it off. But I’m not sure it’s doing anything super special for *her.*

  • Miss wks

    yo Jord…yer skirt’s too long….

  • Denise Rambo

Cute … for a cruise. Of course it’s so long I’d be afraid she’d trip and fall overboard.

  • numenah

I love the cool, easy elegance of this outfit.

  • Lily

I’m really on board with the accessories on this one. Very on point, and fashion-forward, and I like the mix of modern and traditional pieces. Still trying to figure out the dress. Think I would have liked it better were it more of a column shape and not so grocery bag droopy. Show some shape to go with those gorgeous jewels. Everything else is styled really nicely.

  • Milos Mom

Love. This is the first time I’ve seen her do “effortless elegance” and it looks great on her.

  • I love that dress, but it’s too damn long. A draggy hem ruins the look or any gown.

  • DagnyReardon

I like this and it actually looks like something appropriate for SUMMER.

  • Sophie

Too much jewellery! But I like the dress, especially in the back shot.

  • marlie

I sort of love this. It’s got an easy-breezy kind of feel that’s perfect for this time of year, and still has some visual interest and elements to fancy it up a bit. And GORGE jewelry. Also, the sleek hair and bold lip are perfect.

  • demidaemon

Kind of a non-outfit to me. Enh.

  • lucasuk82

Interesting shape that works on her, I like the poolside 70s look. Only thing I would change would be swingier earrings and to hem the skirt.

  • Judih1

Too much bling and too much hem for my tastes. Looks like a bedsheet

  • quiltrx

I’m surprised to say I like this. My only quibble is that all the (extremely flashy) jewelry is at nearly the same height as the bling on the skirt. Fewer rings, keep the bracelet, bigger earrings maybe.

  • Nopinkertons

Is it me? If you’re going to part your hair in the middle and iron it super flat, then the part had better be perfectly centered in the middle of your head all the way from front to back, and straight as a ruler. If you can’t manage that, then fergodsake, go for a side part. On the other hand, I so rarely see a center part executed well that I’m starting to wonder if seeing a center part makes my eyes cross automatically, and it *is* me.

    • bringbackbeatles

It looks centered and straight to me. Am I missing something?

      • Nopinkertons

Straight, yes, but it doesn’t look centered to me–it seems a teensy smidge too far to the right (when looking at her). Though it could be an illusion because one side of the hair puffs up slightly, and the other side down, and the variation is noticeable when the rest of the hair is so flat. The severe hair is unforgiving. The model has a slightly (but I assume deliberately) off-center part and the hair is down rather than pulled back, and it looks so much better–or at least, so much more intentional.

  • Garcia Loca

Way to look 10 times your age, girl.

  • bringbackbeatles

I may be in the minority, but I love this dress. I do not the clutch and there could probably be a little less bling. I would have done the hair a bit differently too, but overall I love. Dress is fab and I like the all jewelry except the big ring and that there is a little too much.

  • Sara Brams-Miller

    I kinda love this . . .

  • Gatto Nero

I think this is simple, elegant, and styled perfectly.

  • Kikishua
