Posted on June 11, 2014

No meekly anodyne, supportive wifey-poo outfits for Miss Jenna, please. The lady is here to be noticed.

Mission: ACCOMPLISHED.

She looks gorgeous, but we, of course, have quibbles. We realize this is a spring collection dress, but it looks awfully heavy for June. And we don’t love the earrings. We agree with the choice of a neutral shoe, but the earrings were a chance to bring a little bit of color to the look. Yes, pink’s a color, but it doesn’t contrast enough with the dress. But we totally admit that these are super-nitpicky points. She looks hot. They look hot together.

Attagirl. We hope they gave you a pillow to sit on.

      Her feet aren’t though

    • RussellH88

It’s attention getting, but it looks so stiff and heavy. And that pink is almost a non-color, such a weird choice for the dress.

But overall, it’s a good effort.

    • http://foodycat.blogspot.co.uk/ Alicia

The same earrings in chalcedony or turquoise would have worked better than that pink.

      • sugarkane105

        chalcedony
Ooh, I learned a new word today. And yes, I agree.

        • Alyssa

I learned two…calcedony and anodyne! Just another day at TLo Institute! :) And I agree…earrings in either of those colors would have been stunning.

      • ballerinawithagun

My favorite pieces of jewelry are chalcedony! That would have been lovely.

      • Thomas

Jinx! Should have read the comments first!

      • smh4748

I agree! I do like the earrings, just not in this context.

        She looks smokin’ though. Wow!

      • http://www.ellenciompi.com/ NurseEllen

Amethyst would have been great, too. Anything to add a smidge of color.

      • kimmeister

I’m ok with a mauvey pink, but about 4 shades darker than the one she’s got here.

      • Carly Warnock

Turquiose most definitely. She looks gorgeous here though and what killer legs she has!

    • Emily Dagger

This can’t be right, but I feel like this is the first time in YEARS that she hasn’t been publicly, adorably pregnant. And I also feel as though this is exactly what I’d want to wear if I looked that good and wanted to remind Hollywood that I was no longer adorably pregnant, and ready to work.

      • kimmeister

Heck, if I had cellulite free thighs, I’d whip them out any chance I got too.

    • http://armchairauthor.wordpress.com/ LesYeuxHiboux

She has such a memorable face. I love the dress on her, and I think the earrings were a great choice because they contrast so well with her hair and coloring, if not the dress. I like the shape of them with the shape of her ears. The shoes are adequate, I suppose.

    • ChaCha_70

Girls has some envious gams! She looks fab!

    • merciblahblah

Jenna looks hot, both literally and figuratively, but the lady gesticulating wildly in the last photo is CRACKING ME UP. She’s either shaking her fist in anger or all, “NOT WITHOUT MY DAUGHTER!!!”

      • Introspective

edited: forgot that movie wasnt a lifetime movie, but its so in the genre for me…

jenna’s dress is nice. heavily embellished, long sleeved mini dress is very typical hollywood way to look hot when youre over 30 but not yet a woman of a certain age… cammie diaz had a dress on just like this a few weeks back…

    • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_QFW22QV426LUOEPGASPZJWJMDE MishaFoomin

The woman in the background of the last picture, on the left, is making me laugh. She is shouting something at someone in disapproval, kind of like those D and G (it was them, right?) print ads.

    • misstressofsylar

She looks like Courtney Cox, before she decided to botox her face to beyond recognition. Gorgeous!

      • sugarkane105

You’re right! If they ever attempt a Friends remake (God FORBID), Jenna just needs blue contacts and a vacuum in her hand, and she’s good to go.

      • kimmeister

i’m getting Julianna Marguiles crossed with Christina Ricci. With maybe a few strokes of Famke Janssen in there.

    • AndieJay

Rarely do I think so, but that dress looks far better on Jenna than on the runway model. In comparison the model actually looks kind of dowdy.

      • AzSportsGirl

Because Jenna has CURVES and the dress let’s you *know* that without being all vampy-va-va-voom

      • lunchcoma

I think shortening it was a good idea. Making it clearly a cocktail dress makes the detail seem blingy rather than fussy.

      • higgledypiggledy

Exactly. I was just wondering if there should be an acronym for that: FSO, For Starlets Only, the opposite of For Models Only. She makes it sing, while the model looks exhausted from having to carry around all those beads and sequins.

    • teensmom99

Gorgeous woman but I am not loving the dress. I feel like Monique L has her highs and her lows. This bedazzlement seems like grandma at the bar mitzvah to me (though of course grandma’s dress is longer–and one of the things I do like about this dress is how it shows of JDT;s gams).

      • Bad Idea Jeans

YES! I feel this dress, with all the bedazzling, is kind of matronly and looks a lot like a grandmother-of-the-bride dress or something. Obviously not the CUT OF IT, which Jenna is working fabulously. It’s just…the bedazzling. And the champagne color. And the pink earrings.

    • lunchcoma

I don’t love the earrings either, but hurrah for having strong enough hair and makeup to pull off the dress. If she’d gone with yoga hair and nude lipstick, I think it would be wearing her.

    • Danielle

She’s stunning, and they always look so enamored with each other. Luv huh!

      • @Biting Panda

        I heart them.

    • marlie

Jenna looks pretty awesome. That would be a killer holiday dress, but I’m not mad at her for rocking it here. I think she could have gone with different shoes, but these actually don’t bother me. Also, I love the earrings.

    • Shelby

I think she looks fantastic. I admit that I like her hair a bit lighter (more auburn-y brown than almost-black brown), but I think she has the coloring to pull this dress off. Brava.

    • jonnyf8

Winning – She has that husband and that dress and she truly looks like she deserves both.

    • EveEve

What’s kind of funny is that nobody in these photos is paying *any* attention to her at all. Except for hubby. And even he is looking at someone else.

    • Imasewsure

Ok dress (but weird that it is just ok with all that spangling going on). Hideous earrings… nothing hair… awful shoes… but pretty enough overall

    • Qitkat

Beautiful dress. Heavily beaded must be a theme this season for lots of designers. I know I’m not alone in wondering how someone sits in these. I’m imagining a portable inflatable cushion between the butt cheeks and the fabric, haha!

      • Kayceed

You know I have been waiting, and waiting and waiting for the heavily embellished (beads and sequins) short dress of the 80s to come back. This may be the time…

    • Thomas

      Should have worn turquoise earings.

    • Meri

Look at that last picture- what a hideous couple.

    • t bell

I like the longer length on the model which seemed to suit that heavy fabric better.

    • http://phantomminuet.blogspot.com/ MinAgain

She looks like the next generation in microchip technology.

    • Valdri8

sorry, but a want to give a freaking shout-out to sleeves – yes sleeves! I love this dress, but I can just imagine all the starlets who would not have worn it because it shows no cleavage and does not expose perfect triceps. It is such a pet peeve of mine, and this backs up my case like Alicia Flores in a kickass suit thinking about tequila shots.

    • Lisalady161

She and the dress are both stunning, but together I think it actually ages her a bit. Way too heavy for the season and her tiny self.

    • boweryboy

I don’t like that she shortened it. It looks better on the model, but even so she looks good.

    • MilaXX

I like the entire look. My only complaint is the usual shoes a size too big.

    • Darcy H

Good god she is ridiculously beautiful.

I’m sorry were we discussing something here? I got distracted by hating Channing Tatum.

    • FibonacciSequins

The dress looks so much better on her than on the model.

    • d4divine

I’ve noticed that many celebs wear stilettos that look too big on the red carpet. How do they walk? Why do they wear them too big? Is this some comfort trick I’m not aware of? So many? ???

      • sweetestsith

Soemtimes the sample shoes just don’t fit, but when you are wearing super high heels your foot tends to slide forward in the shoe and you just walk on tip toe. I didn’t find that difficult to navigate as a teen, but in hindsight I probably looked like a doof. lol

    • DuBey2

Here is why I disagree about the earrings: pix 1 and 4. Those earrings PERFectly accentuate her skin tone; they make the whites of her eyes (& everything else about her eyes) just look mesmerizing. If I were her, I wouldn’t change a thing.

      • Kayceed

Yes – the contrast with the skin and hair is perfect – almost no one thinks about that anymore…

    • Alloy Jane

I wish the dress was less flesh colored. I guess I don’t mind its heaviness for June because the version she’s wearing is shorter than the model’s and she’s showing all kinds of fabulous leg. Agree with the earrings needing more pop but the shoes, I don’t like that color but oddly enough don’t make me want to commit a felony, so that’s something. Overall, she looks absolutely lovely.

    • http://vhanna26.typepad.com Vera

I had to look up anodyne, so it’s my new word for today. Thanks Uncles.

    • MoHub

I like to see the hem an inch or two lower, just skimming the top of the kneecap.

    • conniemd

I so want those earrings. They are my style. Don’t mind that they match the dress either, but then I’m a matchy-matchy person.

    • bitchybitchybitchy

Channing and Jenna are super cute and super hot together-I hope they go home and make another adorable baby. And yes, that dress looks a bit heavy for June.

    • E. D.

I don’t like the lip color. Not sure, but I’d rather see a dark red.

    • webslice33

      WERQ!

    • kategs

This dress is more boring than Jessica Biel’s by far.

    • NinjaCate

Of course she looks gorg. Her show is coming back in a few weeks. Gotta turn it up! (I LOVE Witches of East End btw. Irrationally. Cannot wait)

    • Laughingworld

What is it like to sit down in a dress like that? I am unlikely ever to experience it.

    • Mary Lauer

I am shocked I prefer the shorter length she is sporting to the longer runway length.
