    Cute dress. HATE the bag.

    • Ragnarockette

love the bag, but not with this outfit.

    • Bad Idea Jeans

This is literally exactly what I was going to say. Also like the dress this way rather than the version on the model.

  • RussellH88

The neckline is way too wide and it looks askew (even on the model) and the sloppy lines make my eye twitch.

  • That is NOT a summer bag. I like everything else.

  • imspinningaround

That’s a Coach bag?! But…but…that bag is tough and cool and awesome and I want it.

    • Jessica Freeman

And not covered in the logo!? It can’t be!

      • Jennifer Bober

I’m so happy that they’ve gone back to just making really good leather bags. I hated the logo ones.

        • Raspberry2012

I agree. And I have two of the logo bags that I got during the height of that “All Logo” phase, and I almost never use them anymore.

          • majorbedhead

My goal in life is to get a traditional Coach bag in saddle brown. I loathe the logo bags. They’re tacky beyond belief. This one is fine, although I really don’t like fringe and it seems a bit heavy for such a summery dress.

          • alyce1213

I treasure my 30+ year-old classic Coach, in oxblood. Find one, you’ll have it forever!

          • Introspective

            this x1000!

I bought a coach crossbody in mahogany leather at an outlet 20 yrs ago. I was still a teenager & saved up for this splurge thru several checks from a horrible day camp job. It STILL goes with everything I own and looks new.

a good coach bag is definitely forever!!

  • cat772

Cute dress. Stupid purse. Shoes look seriously painful.

  • Very cute dress, very glad the weird white under-layer didn’t make it to the retail version. Bag is ugly on its own, but what’s worse is it clashes with the black of the dress.

    • evave2

I agree, Claire! Really. That white lacy thing is just strange and I am so glad it is GONE.
I think the dress called for a smaller daintier bag.
I like the shoes with this dress.

  • Danielle

Cute dress! I would have liked to see her leave the lace detailing but I have no other quibbles.

  • Jessica Freeman

Definitely like that she got rid of the doily pleats.

    • MoHub

      Simplifying definitely improved the dress.

  • NBG

That bag and dress are pretty cool, just not together. And I am glad they ditched the petticoat thingy.

    Hate the shoes, of course

  • Therese G.

The dress is cute enough. Not digging the comatose octopus of a bag.

  • MaggieMae

She rode her Harley to the event and grabbed one of the saddle bags. Right?

  • ashtangajunkie

The dress is very cute on her! She doesn’t even look like a fashion victim. Brava, missy.

  • Sophie

Love the print on the dress.

  • SAA

The dress is really cute, and the shoes work perfectly… but that bag is waayyy to heavy for that dress. Its a cool bag (shock!) but belongs with jeans.

  • Stella Zawistowski

Thank goodness she ditched the lace underskirt, which made this an op-art dirndl.

    • MoHub

Also nice that the waist seam sits lower on her. The model looks as if she’s choking.

  • The nudist, they is everywhere!

It is a NUDE FOOT APOCALYPSE, run, save yourselves!

    • Kent Roby

It’s true; I’ve noticed many celebs wearing the SW “Nudist” sandal; it seems to be the hottest thing lately. Because of its name, I giggle when it’s in a color like blue, which makes me think of a nude Smurf (my mind is a weird place at times).

    • altermyego

I don’t like them either. But at least she’s wearing them in the summer. All those barely-there shoes in the middle of winter drove me nuts.

  • jenuwefa

Horrific handbag. WTF was she thinking (or not thinking)?

  • Kent Roby

It’s a cute enough dress….for any young girl headed to the mall or a movie. The white underskirt is the only thing that made this dress less ordinary.

  • Kitten Mittons

I don’t have much new to say about this outfit that hasn’t been said, but it strikes me that she seems to lose her neck quite easily. At first I thought I didn’t like this neckline on her, but I think it’s more the hair. I want her hair pulled back so I can see her neck, and I think the rest works just fine. Hate the bag.

And her hand is pulling the dress and obscuring the shape. Hands out of pocketses, dear.

  • mjude

why is she holding the bag like a clutch? cute dress

    • kimmeister

That’s totally bugging me too. It’s an ugly bag any way you hold it, but when it’s viewed without the strap, it looks like a shortened Cousin Itt.

      • Kayceed

Me three – the whole point of adding fringe is so it can sway in movement – not understanding this.

  • FibonacciSequins

What everyone else said about dress/bag/shoes. Her hair is too flat for my taste here, but she’s a lovely girl and looks happy, so it’s all good.

  • marlie

I’m feeling sort of “meh” on the dress, but that bag is really ugly.

  • Jennifer Bober

Drop the bag and the cute factor jumps exponentially.

  • Lori

Is that a clutch or am I just blind and missing the strap. Either way that thing is ugly, but if it’s a clutch it’s also insane. I also hate the shoes, but I always hate the naked shoes. The dress is cute though.

  • Constant Reader

She looks cute and age-appropriate. After Kendall Jenner unleashed her pelvis on an unsuspecting public almost as soon as she turned 18, I’m calling this a win. The bag doesn’t go, though.

  • deech_sea

The dress is cute, but the shoes are bothering me more than the bag. I wish they weren’t so boring. The bag does need a strap.

  • crash1212

Cute dress. I’m so glad she took that lacey stuff off of it. Even though I’m not a fan of that shoes style, if one has to wear them, this is a good deployment of them. Don’t hate the purse and her head looks great. Nicely done Miss Chloe!

  • Was the Coach summer party held at a Golden Corral?

    • decormaven

      Or Texas Roadhouse?

      • Kayceed

She could have kept the petticoat and added some boots.

  • another_laura

Cute dress, but isn’t the black and white aging her somehow? If it were in blue / white I think I would be falling all over myself with the cuteness.

    • random_poster

      Blue/white would have been gorgeous.

  • Julie Chase

All I can see is the ugly purse.

  • schadenfreudelicious

Is she going to a rodeo or a ho-down afterwards?..the only places where that purse might fit in…

  • Audrey Lee

I kind of love everything except the bag. The pattern on the dress is super cute.

  • Sarah

Why would you put fringe on a clutch? Fringe is for dangling, not grabbing. I assume she’s PRETENDING it is a clutch. This was not a good choice.

  • MilaXX

Cute dress but that’s a lot of bag.

  • Cheryl

I like that she chose not to not use the doily and unbutton the slits. If that purse was a should bag instead of a clutch, I think I actually would like it, but it’s too damn big for a clutch.

    • ballerinawithagun

I kept searching for the shoulder strap also!

  • Natalie

wow this is one of her best looks, it looks effortless.

  • quiltrx

That dress is SO cute! I like that the doily stuff was removed–it didn’t fit with the feel of the fabric pattern.
But that may be the worst “clutch” (are you serious?) I’ve ever seen. A waste of leather.

  • AlisonHendryx

Anyone else sick of those weitzman sandals already? It’s going to be a long summer, I’m afraid.

  • Kbear

The front neckline is funky. They tried to match the curve of the neckline on the top of that front panel – but once you put it on a body that moves (duh) the little “wings” at the edges of the front panel stand out. They should have made that panel go straight across to avoid the “wings”. Anyone who moves or has a bust will get this effect. Argh….

  • LadyVimes

The dress on the model is much more interesting, but the lace underskirt would have made Chloe look like a toddler in church clothes.

  • bitchybitchybitchy

cute, cute, cute dress. The bag is fug, no matter that it’s Coach. Fug is fug

  • MannahattaMamma

Why do she & Kate Mara have on the same gray toenail polish? And is it just me or is she wearing three different “moods:” fun summer frock, dressy-up sandals, weirdly autumnal ghastly bag.

  • BLauDGaspode

Love the dress, and I’m glad they removed the lace panels (only served to look like your slip was falling off), but those shoes and bag. Egads.

  • BrianaJC

HATE the bag. Is that really how you’re supposed to hold it? In the summer?! That’s like stank forearm or something.

  • Raspberry2012

The dress and sandals are very cute. The bag is way too much and too heavy for such a light, summery outfit.

  • Cute! Not always a given with this one. She looks infinitely better with an open neckline, but she needs to chuck that aging-peroxided-bar-band-groupie bag STAT!

  • suzq

Did everyone get the same pedicure? She has the same toenail color as Kate Mara.

  • majorbedhead

Can those Stewart Weitzman shoes go away now? Please?

  • Glad she ditched the white underthing from runway. Sweet dress!

  • DuBey2

Too bad thats the only bag they sent her for the party. But it will come in handy when she rides the mechanical bronco and needs a saddlebag

  • Michele

This dress literally makes my eyes twitch.

  • alyce1213

Adorable dress, perfect for her. I’ll forgive messy beach hair because she’s so young and it’s the only time a gal can get away with it, plus the dress is so summery and casual. I also think the (ubiquitous) sandals are exactly right with it.
I think someone’s had a serious talk with her about duckface, because it seems she’s consciously not doing it anymore. A good thing.

  • smayper

I hate leather fringe. Even on vintage 70s suede jackets. It just always looks absurd and tacky to me.

  • ktr33

why SO much cakey powdery make-up, why?

    • kimmeister

In an effort to avoid the melting of the makeup in NY humidity?

  • demidaemon

This would be cute, if she had foregone the bag. It looks like something that may actually be alive and prepared to eat your soul.

  • AmyP

Chin up, shoulders back. Ditch the bag with one on the minions.

  • Gilly Kaller

the dress is cute but makes her look like she has the chest of a 1st grader.

  • icm

Cute dress but the bag looks like it would be a challenge to lug around. Where is the strap (maybe hidden)?

  • livesarah

Torso on the dress is too short = unflattering. Why do we see that such a lot?

  • MarissaLG

I much prefer how the dress is styled on the model. Taking out that white piece under the skirt really flattens the look. The bag is stupid but we know they’ll throw it back in the box at the end of the carpet so whatevs.

  • JynxTheCat

There MUST be an invisible strap because that backpack is in NO WAY a clutch.
