    • PastryGoddess

      Oh yes…Oh yes….Oh Hell Yes!

      Dayum!

    • Janice Bartels

I feel better now. Except for the hats.

      • kimmeister

I love the hats, on me, a female.

      • http://attiresmind.blogspot.com/ Kiltdntiltd

The hats mess horribly with what is otherwise a pretty fabulous collection. Sans the stupid hats, ROCKIN’/

    • NMMagpie

Those hats just about killed everything for me. Some very nice coats, though. Particularly that green trench.

    • Capt. Renault

      Pretty, dull. Pretty dull.

    • RussellH88

      Sploosh.

I’d sacrifice a limitless quantity of chickens for these clothes.

    • MilaXX

Grandpa chic. I like. I would love one of those bags for weekend getaways.

      • marlie

        Those bags are gorgeous.

        • FuhUgh

Give me the bags (and the orange duffle coat), and no one gets hurt.

    • kckris

they didn’t have any shoes for the pianist? love the colors

    • MoHub

I think I want a women’s version of every one of these. Minus the hats, of course.

      • barbarienne

A lot of these look like the women’s version. Admittedly a menswear-styled women’s version, but really so much of this reads fully androgynous to me. The only variation I could see being necessary is for women with larger than a b-cup, and probably some adjustments to the pants.

        • littlemac8

Especially the defined waists with the knotted belts.

    • Gatto Nero

The hats are silly. But some of the clothes are cut nicely. I prefer the more saturated colors to the baby-poo browns.

    • dustinrhodes

What?! Clothes people would actually wear? NO. WAY.

(Love almost all of the shoes.)

    • hughman

      Paddington Bear hat.

And one of every scarf, please.

      • Kitten Mittons

        And his coat in orange.

      • Anna

Just about to type Paddington Bear.

Agree on the scarves, love the sneakers too.

      • FibonacciSequins

I was getting a Pharrell/Bieber bucket hat vibe.

    • sienna elm

Can someone explain to me how weird styling (i.e. the hats here, the clown shoes in the previous one, terrifying makeup in some of the women’s shows) help to sell clothes at fashion shows? I just don’t understand. This line is quite nice, but I can see it being overlooked because of the silly look of the whole thing. What am I missing?

      • PastryGoddess

Burberry sells quite a lot of stuff. shoes, hats, bags, scarves, tops, bottoms, dresses, suits, outerwear, etc for both men and women. As a result they put a look together that shows off each segment of their business. So some looks will be fairly minimal. other looks will be more elaborate.

Unless you are Anna Del Russo, most people can’t wear an outfit directly off of the runway. The proportions are often exaggerated. Burberry’s clothes don’t change much from the runway. For a better example look at Alexander McQueen. Sarah Burton often sends down some crazy stuff, and then she extrapolates that into RTW items.

    • Victor Beiramar Diniz

i’ll have one or two of each, please

    • Mothra

WTF HATS?! How can I unsee those hats now? I have a pic on my computer (i wish i could share it here) of a hamster wearing a pink petunia as a hat. THAT is what those hats look like.

    • jhedman

So…many…questions. Why are they styling these men like women? Why didn’t anyone speak up about the incongruity of those hats? Why not a fedora? Why are they wearing coats over jackets? Does anyone actually do that?

I know, runways are not reality, but they seem to be getting further and further from it.

    • Glam Dixie

I think they got their womenswear and their menswear mixed together.

    • marlie

That teal color is all sorts of awesome. Really nice pieces, many of which seem rather androgynous, and could work on men or women (Tilda, again). Though the shrunken pants bug a little, and the hats are dumb.

    • mjude

not to bad, I feel I get this collection

    • FibonacciSequins

The hats are ridiculous and detract from the really appealing clothes. The collection is androgynous – I could see Tilda wearing almost all of this. Always happy to see sneakers on the runway. I’m coveting those oversized briefcases/weekender bags.

      • marlie

And it’s done in a way that doesn’t seem gimmicky. It’s subtle and well-done.

    • http://foodycat.blogspot.co.uk/ Alicia

      Preposterous hats but mostly LOVE.

    • LJCdoc

Hats stolen off the heads of a group of 3-year-olds at the beach.

    • Raspberry2012

The boys are really testing my fucking patience this week.

    • lynnlee

      Those hats are hilarious!

    • elirt

Is it going to flood next Spring?

      • Lori

I really hope not, because that pant length works on very few men.

    • Henry Maler

If anything, this collection reminds us that hats can make or break (but mostly break) otherwise cute looks.

      • MoHub

“Ever since the world began, clothes, they say, may make the man, but it’s hats that make the woman, and they always will.”

    • sojo

No to the deflated Pharrell hats. Yes to those colorful tennis shoes!

      • MilaXX

I honestly wouldn’t mind the hats in a fall collection, but this is Spring 2015.

    • Hermione

The coats! The pink duffel coat and everything that is shown with it except the hat. I so covet that. Also coats in the 12th and 16th small pictures. Why can’t I find a women’s trench/rain coat like those?

      • marlie

For real though, I’d just get one of these. The coats are gorgeous.

    • Grumpy Girl

      I don’t understand:
      toddler sunhats
      pants too short
waists too high (seriously, they seem to be falling at their ribs)
brightly patterned tennis shows with nice suits

    • somebody blonde

Love the colors, but what stupid hats…

    • Frank_821

Okay the good. These are nice clothes that are sophisticated with just enough whimsey

The hats are lame and ugly and shift the styling from potentially witty/quirky to horrendous and ruin the effect of the runway

    • ballerinawithagun

Even Burberry drank the Kool-Aid! Not quite as much as the others but still….

    • Innuendo

Terrible hats, clothes are cute but safe. I like the colors, but not sure about how they are presented with a single main shade in every look.

    • msdamselfly

      Gorgeous clothes

    • Dorothy & Michael n/a

The clothes are great, but even Pharrell wouldn’t wear those hats.

    • Imasewsure

Not loving the fit of the trousers but I love all of the solid pieces here. The pattern stuff.. not so much but I really do like this collection overall. Color without being crazy or overly cartoonish!!

    • formerlyAnon

Not a fan of the print on the scarves, but overall this is very pleasant. Nice range of colors. I like the sneakers and a lot of the shoes. Some very nice coats, though the shorter jackets aren’t cut very forgivingly, as best as I can tell & while I know it’s “the look” I don’t love the above/at the ankle pants. I know several intentionally androgynous young men who’d like this.

    • Shawn EH

Men do not need hourglass figures! Designers are the only ones who like loads of fabric in their sweaters! Some of the coats are cool!

      • Wink

Yeah, the cinched waists were too much. But the overall effort put into the details and colors is great.

      • demidaemon

Yeah. Some of the jackets and the way they are belted isn’t quite right, for the majority of men.

    • YousmelllikeAnnaWintour

Oy. Those hats. Trust the Gorton’s Fisherman.

    • YousmelllikeAnnaWintour

I just looked at this again…I made a real effort not to look at the stupid hats and the sneakers, and I actually think I like this collection.

    • Tracy_Flick

All the shades of “my baby just started solids.”

    • BlairBear

I love the cut and proportions of most of the clothes but I didnt love all the colors/some of the blues in particular. Also those bags are crazy

    • Danielle

I ain’t mad at it. The hats can go.

    • JauntyJohn

      Okay, I love these colors.
And the shoes and the scarves bring either pop or drama, respectively.
The hats, as mentioned in nearly all of the preceding comments, are indeed a problem.
When I manfully wrestle my irrational hate for them aside, I try and envision them with some effort put into working the brim and/or crown.
What if the brim was turned up on one side? Or in front? The fabric seems heavy for the season, but hats as protection from the sun — and as another accessory in the style tool chest — I am all for.
It’s like they intentionally mooshed all the brims down and jammed the hats down on the young lads’ heads.
Wear them with some deliberate panache and… mmmmaybe they would work. Maybe.

      • marlie

Maybe *these* hats don’t work, but I can definitely see the right hats enhancing these looks.

    • ellatheingenue

      COAT PORN

    • JP

Are all the models wearing that hat ironically, or is someone holding their families hostage to make them wear it?

    • conniemd

Like everyone else, I think I liked the collection, but I had such a hard time getting past the hats (and some of the Rainbow Brite sneakers). Apparently they also picked up on this season’s trend of having your name all over some of th clothing.

    • Wink

Where is ‘Men Without Hats’ when you need them?

    • KT

      Haha what

    • Alloy Jane

I’m probably in the minority, but this is disappointing.

    • Bonnie Blue

There are some individual pieces that are nice, but some of the colors I don’t find very appealing. The pants look sort of tapered to me. I just can’t get past the hats. Maybe they are bringing back the Urban Sombrero?

    • YoungSally

Big purple bag – must have!! Even if it is made of Barney-hide.

    • kimmeister

That is a lot of tone on tone.

Based on the graphic, I’m sure the shirt in look #11 probably says “The History of British Tailoring.” However, the way the shirt is scrunched up makes it look like “The History of British Whoring.”

      • demidaemon

Both are entirely apt titles, as they have a long history in the country.

    • http://gabyrippling.tumblr.com/ Gaby

Some of the suits seem very womanly in shape – I want them more for me than for my boyf.

    • http://armchairauthor.wordpress.com/ LesYeuxHiboux

Bavarian soccer fans or Pharrell enthusiasts? Headwear aside, Burberry never fails to deliver on outerwear. Great colors.

My husband glanced over and asked me if it was trendy now to dress as though one is in a Dr. Seuss book.

    • Trickytrisha

I thought this was a mixed male/female runway initially. Some of the clothes are gorgeous, but yeah…Pharrell ain’t no sissy, and these hats are,

    • Mr. J.

The models, the clothes, the hats…..I kept thinking: Jamie Lee Curtis.

    • sleepycat

How do I sell my soul? There are too many crossroads in Philly. :P

    • J. Preposterice

*steals all the shoes and all the jackets and scampers away cackling*

    • QuietHarper

Oh thank god. I thought that ALL of the menswear designers had gone completely off the rails. This, while colorful, at least has pieces that someone who doesn’t exist in celebrity fantasy-land might actually contemplate wearing in public. Styling is a little whack (I know the last time I wore a hat like those, I was still in diapers), but at least I can see the possibilities. A couple or three of those coats can just be shipped straight to me.

    • boweryboy

No to the Mushmouth hats and almost everything above the waist. Yes to the pants and a few jackets. It is nice to see real world ready clothing, and New Balance did those sneakers a few years back. My best friend had a pink, powder blue, and purple pair he wore all the time.

      • demidaemon

Those shoes that your friend wore sound hideous.

        • boweryboy

Oh, they were. Trust. Yet they were so true to who he is that they totally worked for him.

    • demidaemon

The hats are beyond dumb, and a couple looks veer into grandpa wear territory, but overall, I really like it. In fact, i can say that, if I had the funds, I would actually purchase pieces of this collection. Not bad, Burberry. You win the award for best menswear of the week.

    • kategs

I had a heck of a time getting past those ineffably twee hats.

    • quiltrx

LOVE the color palette! Vibrant, but in shades that wouldn’t read ‘girly’ to most men. And I need several of their giant purses LOL. And I really like most of the shoes.

    • John11581

Darren Criss would get weak in the knees looking at this collection. I have to say, aside from the length of the pants (and those hats), I’m loving it.

    • http://frankbettecenter.org/ sleah_in_norcal

those hats look so stupid i can’t see anything else. except the kicks which i love and need in my life now.

    • lilazander

Finally something perfecly wearable, except for the hats as some noticed. These are clothes I see guys enjoying.

    • ktr33

I love the cut of the pants. And some of the coats are really gorgeous — love the duffels and the classic overcoat. I have to say, the hats make some of them look like girls. My mom had a black one in the early 70s, and it was quite 70s-fab.

    • Gloriana Reginata

Wow, I love the colours in these – even the ones where I wouldn’t be seen dead in those colours myself. Less keen on some of the belted jackets, which seem a little constricting and clumsy compared to the flow of the trousers; but otherwise the whole look would make my head turn in the street. And if I could cash out my husband’s shares for fripperies, I’d be dressing him in that gorgeous white suit asap.

    • http://weirdinedgewise.blogspot.com ONEWEIRDWORD

Get rid of every single one of these hats. Then, lovely.

    • JynxTheCat

I like it all – the hats are dopey of course (lazy ass concept) but something about the cut of the pants or…I keep picturing it all on Martha Stewart.
