She is absolutely stunning. J’adore her.

Not sure about the “I’m here to have my blood taken nurse” pose in the last pic though.. :)

      • kimmeister

Ha! I do love the over-the-shoulder pose though – the pleated thing is perfectly framing her toned shoulder.

      • ballerinawithagun

The 2 shades of white are making me crazy. The top looks like a decorated tank from Etsy because the pleated fabric in the skirt and top don’t match and have no cohesiveness.

    • http://foodycat.blogspot.co.uk/ Alicia

Is the skirt a whiter white than the bodice? It’s hard to tell! She looks amazing, even though I think all that chest business is a bit much.

      • TrixieConQueso

“Chest business” – new favorite term. As a gal whose nickname is “Lotta Balcony,” I always have to mind the traffic around the chest. Will not be rushing out to buy this dress. But does look nice on Zoe!

        • SugarSnap108

Yeah, I’m not wild about the chest “traffic” on its own. But on Zoe it works — She’s got the figure for it, and the bodice fits her like a glove. On the model, it’s a little sad and saggy.

        • kimmeister

As someone who is devoid of such balcony, I always welcome chest business to create more volume in that area.

          • DaringMiss

Reminds me of the old Victorian phrase “What God has forgotten, He invented cotton!”

            • kimmeister

Ha, I’ve never heard that one. Although in my case he didn’t forget me, he just distributed all of my curves to the lower half of my body!

          • holla

I think this works well for someone who is not well endowed in the balcony area

        • Judih1

Love both Chest business and Lotta Balcony – but do NOT like the top she is wearing. Too fussy, especially for that fabric

        • BLauD

A friend of mine used to tell me I didn’t have a shelf so much as a drawer. I think the chest business is rather distracting and not that attractive, but at least Zoe makes me not hate it completely.

      • decormaven

The skirt is reading a different tone of white. I’m ok with the chest business because it’s properly fitted on her.

      • random_poster

Having her hair covering part of it was a good move.

      • YoungSally

Definitely reading differently — but same look on the model — just more subtle.

        • barbarienne

On the model, the bit over her left hip is dangling over the belt, whereas on Ms. Saldana, it’s tucked up with the rest of the “chest business” (props to Alicia for that term!). I think this helps make Ms. Saldana’s version look more put together and intentional.

      • Deb Oswald

It looks like the top is a little “sweater” while the skirt is smooth. Different fabric!

      • Wink

The two shades of white bother me slightly. Would have been awesome to change the color of the top to black (with the white skirt). Because she’s small, the ‘chest business’ works on her. (This much chest business be disastrous on someone like Christina Hendricks!)

    • marlie

This is very pretty. I hope it means that Zoe is getting her style mojo back.

      • HomeOfficeGirl

        Agreed!

      • Kathy

        Zojo. ;)

    • Anna

Princess who? Aphrodite is here, bitches.

Just STUNNING, best I’ve seen from her lately. Absolutely love that belt, couldn’t imagine the dress with another (I am biased towards that type of gold chain, though).

    • numenah

Lots of pretty here even if she does have blanched tripe ironed onto he bodice.

      • kimmeister

        EWWWWWW!

      • demidaemon

That is a horrible yet accurate image. Excuse me while I gag.

    • Danielle

Jury is still out on the foofaw on the bodice, but I’ll be damned if she doesn’t look absolutely edible.

    • Janet B

Why would she cover the ‘chest business’ with her hair?

    • Sissy

      i don’t understand the fabrics…

      • Rhonda Shore

I don’t understand it and i think it’s kind of meh. The only Cannes festival dress i’ve seen that has impressed me thus far was Nadja Auermann’s — it’s a frock in the full sense of the word and just right for Cannes.

      • http://foodycat.blogspot.co.uk/ Alicia

I think the bodice is woolly – is that what you are seeing?

        • Sissy

yes! I don’t get the mixing of the sweater tank and slinky pleats. Is it separates?

          • Rhonda Shore

I don’t get that enormous ruffle across the chest.

    • ashtangajunkie

This is my favourite thing that Zoe has worn in a long time. I really adore this dress.

    • Sarah

I really like this. She looks better in it than the model! My onliest tiny quibble is that it is unmatchy whites, and I kind of want it to be all one color because it’s not enough different to be anything but distracting.

    • SayWhaaatNow

This is a “Be Me, bitches” all the way! She knows how good she looks, and I love it!

    • B_C_J

The dress fits nicely & overall she looks beautiful but it doesn’t read as a dress for the premier of a movie in Cannes. She looks a bit underdressed.

    • Alyssa

This is very goddess-y on her…my only quibbles are that the hair should be in a soft updo and the whites should match!

    • MilaXX

I like it, it’s easy, breezy and still feel right for a coastal event..

    • Qitkat

Quintessential BE ME AND DO ME. Zoe is so fresh and lovely here.

    • Anapestic

She’s gorgeous in this dress, but that’s mostly because she’s gorgeous. The dress itself is only fabulous from the waist down. Fortunately, she has such a great face and overall form that my eye is diverted from the bodice embellishment.

    • majorbedhead

I love the skirt. The top looks like an arts and crafts project gone bad. And it’s a different shade of white than the skirt, which is making me twitch.

      • FibonacciSequins

Ditto. That top is just a skosh too crafty-applique.

    • Julie Chase

I LOVE this on her. She’s statuesque.

    • bouionice

Looks better on her than it did on the model. This dress really benefits from an actual human body with a few curves.

    • SewingSiren

Is the bodice fleece? And the skirt and ruffle Qiana?

    • http://asskickingadviser.com/ Ass Kicking Adviser

Lately I had felt like she was kind of losing her status as a werq girl. But this is lovely. If the dress had been short I wouldn’t have said that but the McFadden-type skirt with the tank is great. And I love the hair. Not so sure about belt and earrings.

    • SugarSnap108

She’s so gorgeous. And for once, I dig the over-the-shoulder look — because she looks like she’s doing it in an aware, tongue-in-cheek way.

    • AlexisPayne

      J’adore.

    • http://www.ellenciompi.com/ NurseEllen

I would have pushed her hair over to the other shoulder, so that the “chest business” would show up better. (xo @foodycatalicia:disqus for that coinage!) Great fit and of course she can do white like nobody’s business.

      • Terri Terri

I agree! The hair is obscuring the ruffly details.

    • Imasewsure

I kind of love all of this on her and it seems perfect for Cannes (I know it’s very close to what I always wear when I am in Cannes of course)

    • Jeremiah Capacillo

      Bitch is back.

    • unbornfawn

      This is working. Lovely.

    • http://www.youtube.com/user/TheOctocornNetwork International Model

Why didn’t she get to play Princess Grace again?

    • AlisonS

This is the best she’s looked in quite a while.

And I really hate saying that.

    • msdamselfly

      she looks amazing

    • webslice33

      she looks really fine!

    • http://www.bertkeeter.com Bert Keeter

FINALLY! Now why was this sooooo long in coming? She can become a classic fashion star if she just stops with all the trendy gimmicks designers are throwing at her. Stick with Beckham!

    • ktr33

It’s a solid attagirl to me.

    • tereliz

Zoe is back, bitches! She’s taking that model to school!

    • Judih1

I looks like a sea urchin is crawling all over her tiny chest. I could maybe like it if the skirt wasn’t pleated. Too many busy elements for such a tiny frame

    • Shelby

I like this, but it’s not too difficult to wear, right? Especially given some of the crazy crap she’s worn? Whatever. I think she looks great and I hope she’s over whatever fashion hump took her down for those dark months.

    • EEKstl

She looks great, love the earrings and the belt.

    • crash1212

She’s totally making this work. I love everything I see, but could easily do without all that nonsense creeping across her chest. Kickass earrings.

    • MM4321

It always classes up the look to have a bit of tattoo sticking out the side. ;-)

    • poggi

The over the shoulder shot and the back view might make this worth it. As much as I love mushrooms, I don’t like the fungus on the front.

    • bluefish

Love the dress! She looks beautiful and relaxed.

    • WaterGhost

This folded napkin/towel bird origami is something I never thought I would see plastered against someone’s chest – but why not? She looks fantastic.

    • Jacob Bowen

I LOVE her earrings and I think the dress is pretty great, too. I think the chest ruffles only work because they are pretty much plastered on her chest and they don’t stick out a lot. This is old Zoe Saldana and it is refreshing.

    • DebbieLovesShoes

I looked at this just after looking at the Mindy Kaling post, and thought, “Now THIS is how to do makeup on a woman of color”. Beautiful.

    • Lisalady161

Holy shit, that’s a lovely look on her! That said, she needs stronger eye makeup and I would have loved to seen her hair up. Would put that image in my ‘WERQ’ criterion.

    • mickiemonkey

She is ROCKIN” that tomfoolery squirt of cream cheese frosting across her chest. Gorgeous!!!

    • Mothra

      Meh. it looks itchy.

    • formerlyAnon

Lovely! Though if you are going to have fancy ruched & ruffled over-the-shoulder ornamentation, I wish you’d put your hair up.

    • LaSylphide

I wish that top didn’t look like T-shirt material up close. Aside from that, lovely.

    • frannyprof

Best she’s looked in a long time. But do those whites not match?

      • conniemd

The two different shades of white in this dress make my eyes twitch, particularly since both top and skirt have the same looking pleating.

    • Cate

      Pretty damn good!

    • MissAmynae

      Perfect.

    • ScarlettHarlot

This is one of my favorite looks of hers in a long time

    • demidaemon

Other than that weird-ass bustle across her chest, I do love this on her. I like it with the shoulder treatment only (when you see it from the back), but even on the model the design looks kind of clunky. On Zoe, it looks marginally better, but I still don’t like it.

    • Twix

This looks like the longer version of a ladies who brunch outfit. Not really for the Cannes red carpet.

    • joything

Ms. Zoe brings the dress to life in a way the model cannot.

    • livesarah

Love this. I usually think VB is overrated, but this is lovely.

    • a_liking

      oh, i love this.

    • Pterodactyl111

Gorgeous. Now that is what you wear to the premiere of a Grace Kelly movie.

    • http://kittysdrawings.com Esz

Thats unusually fussy for Victoria Beckham – but Zoe looks amazing!

    • understateddiva

girl knows she looks good. Actually she looks a little smug about it.

    • Milos Mom

Boring. She is always such a snooze.

    • LVC

Is it me or does the runway version look like a pants rather than a skirt?

    • Vee

I’m going to go out on a non-fasihon limb and say she’s pregnant. The dress is sitting higher on her than the model and is the perfect cover except from the side. As for fashion, I love Victoria’s Style and I love this dress on Zoe!

    • http://thishotoldbroad.blogspot.com/ Sara Leigh Merrey

Okay, I like the bodice foofaw. I like this whole look. Stunning!

    • Mary Lauer

If you are gonna do the one shoulder har, please do NOT pick the shoulder with the interesting detail!

    • veronicafish

I really do not care for her, but I can’t deny that she looks lovely here.

    • camillegal

shes wearing it better than the model.

    • KT

This is the best she’s looked in a while. Love the chain belt; hair and makeup are nice, too.

    • lilazander

I love her demeanour; she looks comfortable, happy, sexy…. I mean, her face and body language makes the dress THAT more attractive on her. Stunning, as some of you said is what I say, too.
