Gorgeous man, great suit but puddles of trouser leg to match the weather

      • bitchybitchybitchy

I quite agree. Lovely suit, the pants, as usual, need hemming.

    • @Biting Panda

Does he have to return the pants? Is that why they can’t be hemmed?

      • FibonacciSequins

I think a tailor could get away with hemming without cutting the fabric.

        • Chuck Barthelme

Exactly. They could have at least been taped. His stylist doesn’t seem to understand the hemming problem since he seems to always have this issue, despite the rest of the suit being so well fitting.

    • lunchcoma

A better effort than yesterday, but I do wish he’d invest in some tailoring.

      • e jerry powell

You’d think that people have never heard of those, even given how much bespoke happens in Britain.

    • Ginmaru

Yes! The blue shirt is so beautiful with his blue eyes!

However I am strobbing out with that tie. Cue flashback video.

    • Beardslee

The first thing I checked out was the underwear situation. Eww, Michael! You’re a great looking man, but still.

      • Ginmaru

I should hope he gets to keep the suit if he doesn’t wear underdrawers with it. As the designer, I don’t think I would want to get it back.

        • Willhelm

If I were the designer, I’d pay to get it back after he wore it without underwear. :-x

          • Ginmaru

Lol! Thanks for the giggle. I needed to laugh after the day we are having at the cube farm!

    • Karen Belgrad

Wait… water on the shoulders…. puddles at the hem. Is he literally melting?

    • Mary Lauer

Mr. Fassbender is apparently an equal opportunity side-dresser. Right one day, left the next. Because prurient. 8-)

    • FibonacciSequins

      Hem your damn pants already.

    • MilaXX

Bless him for trying on this poledance. I’m not sure he’s the right guy for a waist coat and the hem on those pants makes me weep.Lovely just, just not being worn correctly.

      • FibonacciSequins

The one thing I like about the waist coat is that it must have kept him warm on a cold day. Look at how everyone else is bundled up.

    • Jacob Bowen

Wow, even I, who does not like to pay to get things tailored, would NEVER wear that bad of a pant length!

    • Fyolette

At this point I think he actually insists on wearing this hem length.

    • KinoEye

The woman’s face in the 4th photo from the top is priceless. She is as horrified as we are by the abysmal hemming situation.

    • SugarSnap108

Give that man an umbrella and a tailor. And my phone number.

    • hughman

The rhinestones on the shoulders make it a bit skater costume.

    • demidaemon

Good job, sir. Now get your handsome self to a tailor pronto.

    • marlie

This is a better showing than yesterday – I actually really like the suit – but his pants are too long.

    • uprightcitizen

Beautiful man, beautiful fabric, and I love that he’s wearing cordovan shoes, but the square bottom on that double-breasted vest (shudder) is something I cannot abide on anyone older than 8 who is not a member of the Von Trapp family.

      • kimmeister

Yes, that straight hem on the vest is totally disturbing, I can’t even see anything else!

      • ryenerman

Comments like this are one of the reasons why I love coming here. I knew something was off (other than the obvious pants puddles) but couldn’t place it until you mentioned it. Another fashion lesson learned!

    • BeeBeauNYC

      yes Yes YES

    • Brittney P

The hems on those pants make me want to cry, but he still looks pretty fab! Michael and James McAvoy have been all over my tumblr recently (I follow quite a few X-Men blogs) and it’s been very nice to see some lovely looking men all dressed up!

    • ShaoLinKitten

Here, Michael, take those off and I’ll hem them for you… later…

    • BLauD

I am in love with this look, minus the puddling of the pants.

And the square cut of the vest.

    • Sarah

That waistcoat bugs me because I guess I don’t like how it has a horizontal hem. I didn’t realize that I had an opinion on that until I wanted it to be pointy. It’s masquerading as a sweater vest, and I don’t care for that. Also, I do believe it is double breasted, and inside a jacket that has its own buttons, that seems extraneous.

    • boweryboy

Hem those pants and get some Head & Shoulders shampoo stat. That’s some serious dandruff you’re sporting there (I know it’s raindrops, but still…doesn’t he have a handler to hold an umbrella for him?).

      • gorghast

While posing on a carpet for a line of photographers, no he wouldn’t have someone holding an umbrella over him.

        • boweryboy

I dunno. I’ve seen it done before. Also, I just noticed – fourth photo down on the left it appears some one is holding an umbrella over him. Although they’re doing a lousy job of it.

          • gorghast

I see it. With these photocalls, the photos are basically worthless to magazines if they’ve got some nobody standing next to him in frame. Hence the person stretching her arm out as far as possible with that umbrella.

          • Corsetmaker

Probably of the opinion that it’s a bit of rain and he won’t melt, and quite right too.

            • boweryboy

He may not be meliting, but his pants are.

    • PeggyOC

Hem it and I’ll take it. Or he could lose the trousers. That works too.

    • Cheryl

I’m not liking the dandruff. Come on, he could have washed his hair before going on the red carpet. Make me wonder about his hygiene, generally. Blech.

      • gorghast

        “The dandruff” is rain.

        • boweryboy

          I’m fairly certian she’s joking…

          • Cheryl

I am, but it does really look bad. A flick of his hand would have dispersed those drops.

    • frannyprof

      Yum yum yum

    • Jacqueline Wessel

You know I’d be happy to pat him down with a Bounty paper towel to get rid of those raindrops.

    • http://phantomminuet.blogspot.com/ MinAgain

Seriously, what is his phobia about hemming pants?

    • Imasewsure

Not loving the shirt/tie combo. Prefer the jacket closed to show off the awesomeness of the pattern…

    • Glam Dixie

I hate the vest and the puddle pants, take them both off immediately.

    • LeelaST

Hem the pants and shave and I’m good.

    • Danielle

I want a mustache ride and I feel dirty for asking.

      • Vaniljekjeks

        You and me both, girl.

        • myristica_fragrans

and i would film it, strictly for scientific purposes.

    • Tricia

Ohmalord, I want. I love that suit on him, even if it needs to be hemmed.

    • laura

Michael, darling, why you no hem?

I love that waistcoat! It suits him to a T. Everything from the knees up is working like gangbusters.

    • lundibleu

“Hello, room service? Yes, I’ll take a McAvoy and a Fassbender to be delivered please. No, clothing is unimportant.”

    • Fred Vaughn

      Mmmmmmmm…

    • Milos Mom

I wish we could see it without the jacket. I have the feeling it would make a world of difference.

    • Mrs. O

He’s very pretty, but no amount of pretty can make up for the degree to which he sounds like a terminally pretentious twit in every interview. Honestly. What a drip!

      • lamh36

Saw Fassbender, McElvoy and Hugh Jackman (for some reason, I always have to say his entire name…lol) on the Graham Norton Show and they were all adorable. Haven’t seen Fassbender in a solo interview in a while though

    • Sofia

He’s just so darn cute but how could he go to a premiere without getting his pants hemmed?

    • quiltrx

Mmm, the waistcoat is conjuring “naughty professor” fantasies…

    • Man Dala

Beautiful suit, if only it was hemmed properly. He is delightful.

    • ladybane

      boo hiss, underwear….

    • MartyBellerMask

      Delicious.

    • malarson2

I’m just going to come out and say it: I’m glad he’s got some snugs on today…his penis was stressing me out.

    • bluefish

Too bad about those hems. Those shoes are wonderful — Love the boxy, square cut of the vest.

    • kim bunchalastnames

ah. i see he has adopted the tom hiddleston red carpet stance.

    • KT

I would hit it so hard.
