Mauve leather is never a good idea.
It looks like Hannibal made it for her.
I was just going to say, is Mauve SERIOUSLY making a comeback? God I hope not.
Talk about a difficult color to wear, and mauve is it. Mauve leather is really odd.
It’s just a little too close to ‘flayed human skin’ territory for me. I like the shape and the materials…just not that color.
I was about to go there. There is an inherent EYEW factor in play, here.
I think the dress is just plain ugly.
My immediate question on looking at the dress was if it was skin below the black. Ridiculous of course, but that was how it looked.
Yeah, my first thought was Ed Gein.
Buffalo Bill is a better seamstress than I thought. His human dress turned out better than I thought.
“It puts the lotion on its skin or else it gets the hose again.”
Put the lotion in the basket.
The top is much better when you see it up close and realize that it’s not tweed like it looks from a distance.
Are the earrings designed to make your earlobe look super long? If so, success!
Did she put the lotion in the basket before she put the dress on?
The dress is ew, and the hair/makeup choice makes her look much older than she really is.
Somehow I like this more than I should.
Gucci? Are we sure this isn’t Ed Gein, designing from beyond the grace?
Does she have a fingernail on her ear?
That was such an unfortunate way to accessorize a leather dress.
I can appreciate her story telling through fashion ability though.
Can’t unsee. But I guess it’s of a piece with a dress that’s reminding so many kittens of Buffalo Bill’s, um, “creations.”
OK, up until your comment I was gonna disagree & say “I really LIKE the whole look. Especially the way its accessorized.”
I stand corrected.
Finally, someone’s wearing a color that works for her.
But in a texture that just screams “FLAYING”.
Can’t have everything.
I’m feeling like an outlier here, because I kind of love this one. I like the hair, the makeup, the jewelry, the shoes, the shape, the textures…
I think it’s all working too, but I do understand everyone’s reaction. That pale mauve is very flesh-like.
Honey, no. Was she emotionally scarred from St. Anglie’s powder mishap? Has she forsaken all face powders?
That’s a lot of sheen.
Those earrings are a little too on point
The color ruins what could have been a really great dress.
Who designed this dress, the House of Bolton?
This dress was obviously not meant for a lady with actual boobs
Wow this not good. That color is horrific.
Do I spy those f*cking Jimmy Choos again. Stylists, I thought we talked about this.
No, the shoes are different! Those Choos have multiple places the straps meet on the vamp. I like these better.
ANY color but this one. Please.
Head inspired by a Robert Palmer video. Cute shoes.
It’s okay, but I think I would prefer the leather part a different color, perhaps a rust or brown.
I love you TLO but dayum lately the site has been lacking in diversity. Just saying, because I know it’s not intentional..
I think she did better than the model in styling the dress overall but I don’t like the dress and the earrings were a bridge too far
I’m not a fan of the dress (and doesn’t it feel heavy for summer?), but I love the shoes and earrings.
If ever there was a person who could play Dame Elizabeth Taylor, this girl is the one. Forget HBC, I love her, but no. And HELL NO on LiLo.
Face is so gorgeous and flawless that I care very little about the rest. Shayna punim with perfect makeup. And I have no idea who she is, no previous bias.
OMG, get ready for a overshare: It just hit me, she looks oh-so-much like pix of my mom from the 50s, and my mom died a month ago. Freudian much?!
If only the color of that leather was more in the merlot family, I would have thought this dress was pretty cute. Love the earrings.
The design is great and works for her, but that color is a bad idea. Yeesh.
She is the best dressed blacksmith in town.
Her lip color is great, but I don’t like the eye shadow wings.
Those earrings look as if someone hot glued some fake nails onto her ear lobes. Ewww.
Immediately thought of Buffalo Bill and his skin suit.
Why the plastic top? I mean, it might be leather, but it sure reads plastic.
I am so over leather dresses. They always look thick and heavy (gee wonder why) and they never seem to be flattering.
And when people wear them in Spring/Summer (as everybody seems to be doing lately), all I can think of is “Ugh, too hot!!”
I agree. Also I wish leather would go back to being an outerwear/accessories thing.
The hair is waaaaay too severe, and that is some seriously wonky jewelry.
I like it and don’t mind the color; it goes well with the black trim.
That lower left closeup though, that will be her look for the next 20 years.
I don’t hate the dress as much as some of the other bitter kittens, but does the whole look read as really DATED to anyone else? That makeup and hair are way too late 90s for my taste.
The only thing I really don’t like about the dress is the color. But yes, the makeup, hair and (to me) accessories are dated and just plain bad.
Love the earrings. That is all.
She has one of the prettiest faces I’ve ever seen, but her hair and makeup people never seem to do her justice. Why go for such severe looks? I understand that she loves high fashion and she’s usually very daring in her style choices, but a softer aesthetic from the neck up would work wonders on her. And Camilla, take this from someone who also has hooded eyes: smokey eyes are extremely difficult to pull off when your eyelids are barely visible. Hire a makeup artist who knows how to emphasize a hooded eye with dramatic liner and lashes. In fact I think that’s her fundamental problem, that she’s working with people who keep trying to pull off mainstream makeup looks on a unique beauty like herself.
I like the beaded bit – but don’t like the dress as a whole. The hair and makeup look harsh and unflattering.
If the rest of the dress below the bust were rendered in a different fabric, i would love it. As is, once you get to the bust, it looks cheap and ugly.
I think that leather at its best should read as tough, sexy, or luxurious, and this dress doesn’t.
The structure and stiffness make it look the opposite of sensuous. And the color — a weird sort of off-flesh tone — is yucky.
It’s a beautiful idea for a dress and would have been realized as such if the leather were black vs. that weird non-color.
Awful dress and jewelry, but that FACE is world class movie star realness!
Her face and the upper bodice of the dress are stunning. I have to stop there, admiring the closeup only.
Might as well face it I’m addicted to love…. all she needs is a bass! Well, and a stylist that isn’t hooked on Hannibal
I like everything but the dark nail polish is overkill.
Edgy & sophisticated & she wears it better than the model.
Well, she looks as good in it as the runway model, which means pretty much nobody looks good in it. What a nasty color.
Dress is ugly, jewelry is worse.
That color made me think “skin dress,” and not in a good way. *shiver*
DITTO. Very “It rubs the lotion on its skin.”
LOL that did NOT make it better! OK, yes it did.
She looks pretty good here.
The top half is so…severe?
This aspires to but fails spectacularly to achieve Game of Thrones realness. I think if you’re going to go down this road, go the eff all the way. Don’t chicken out halfway down the bodice.
Pretty sure this is NOBODY’S dress. And wow, the styling is harsh.
She looks elegant but that leather (and color) is so blacksmith/abattoir I just can’t.
I can see that the cheese stands alone, but I think bitch looks fierce. Serving early-90s supermodel in the facial region. I didn’t connect the dress to a cannibalistic place, I admit.
