No one with skin that light should venture anywhere near that shade. Blandistan, here we come.

      • MoHub

She actually appears to have yellow/green undertones to her skin rather than blue/pinks. As someone with the same coloring, I can unabashedly say that pink is not our friend.

      • decormaven

Looks like she is melting into it.

      • kimmeister

Not to mention that with the ruching, it’s looking like an anatomical chart of the muscular system. Oh, look, there’s her pelvis.

        • livesarah

I wondered if anyone else would see that!

    • VicD

Hate the dress. Hate the color. Hate the jewelry. But she is rockin’ that bedhead.

      • @Biting Panda

I don’t know that I want to see JBF hair on a 16yr old. But then again, I’ve become such a prude in my parental years.

        • Kitten Mittons

I had no idea she was only 16! She could pass for 25 or older. Geez.

          • demidaemon

Definitely older. Looking at these pics makes me think at least 30. The style of dress is really part of the problem.

            • Kitten Mittons

Old enough that I didn’t even consider checking her age. Didn’t even occur to me.

          • mickiemonkey

16 explains the unfortunate rings and bracelets and rhinestone nails.

        • SugarSnap108

She’s SIXTEEN?! I would add, I don’t want to see a 16-yr-old doing that over-the-shoulder come-hither thing. Or anyone, really.

        • R.A.

I’m not so crazy about that makeup for a sixteen year old either. I guess Kiernan Shipka’s people weren’t available?

          • Mona_Visa

I would have loved to have seen her makeup before the black eyeliner attack. If I were her mother… Not out the door like that… No way.

            • R.A.

I’m with you on the “straight to your room with a bar of soap.” Also, why are they going so heavy on the foundation? What’s the point of having young beautiful skin if you’re just going to slather a pound of makeup on it?

            • Mona_Visa

THIS. The truth. The foundation is out of control and completely, completely unnecessary.

            • R.A.

Not even Lindsay Lohan needs THAT much concealer.

          • livesarah

Yeah. I’m hoping it’s the inappropriate makeup that is making her lips look done…

            • R.A.

Oh geez… I hadn’t even considered that. I really, really hope they’re not starting them on the needle that young.

    • Kathy

      Awkward waist cinching.

      • Kitten Mittons

I suspect that if it were on someone with an ounce of body fat, that waist would look pretty strange.

        • Kathy

It looks odd on Bella. For some reason, it looks better on the model.

          • barbarienne

I was trying to decide if the photo had been retouched or what. Decided no it hasn’t, but perhaps you’ve got the right idea with cinching. Or it may be that she has more booty than the model, so the contrast of waist-to-hips plus that V-shaped design element exaggerates the break in the middle.

Either way, I agree it looks better on the model. More graceful/flowing through the midsection.

            • Kathy

Thank you! I couldn’t quite describe it, but that’s it: “More graceful/flowing through the midsection.”

            • barbarienne

I’m going to add another theory: She’s 16, and doing that cocked-hip, tilted-head posing thing, which is the body equivalent of ducklips. If she just stood up straight, the dress might smooth out.
              #kidstoday #getoffmylawn

(And using hashtags in a non-twitter setting to grouse about today’s youth is some sort of irony overload.)

            • Kathy

LOL. I’m right there with you.

              Also, #standupstraight #brushyourhair

          • Monabel

Even on the model it looks subtly horrid. I’m reminded of muscle diagrams, rather gruesome.

            • Kathy

It’s been a few hours since I looked at it, but it hasn’t improved in the meantime. Posen doesn’t seem to be able to see the forest for the trees. He’s so in love with draping and wrapping (like a mummy) that he forgets about flattering a woman’s shape.

          • kimmeister

The dress is too long in the torso for Bella.

    • Kitten Mittons

If this were an actual color, I would be on board. Her makeup looks lovely.

    • boweryboy

What a sad, droopy dress this is. Hell, everything about this is sad.

    • IMNAngryLiberal

What did fabric ever do to Zac Posen?

      • demidaemon

Obviously, it gave him nightmares and this was the result.

    • imspinningaround

She needs to stop posing like she has no neck.

      • schadenfreudelicious

Her “come hither” over the shoulder pose has rendered her completely neckless!

      • kimmeister

Maybe the model can lend her some neck, she’s got plenty to spare.

      • smayper

I hate that. I tend to bend my neck awkwardly when someone is taking a picture of me and I HATE it.

    • schadenfreudelicious

The two dozen bracelets and 10 rings still are not going to help that sad sack of a dress…

    • rosie5215

Apart from the corseting, this looks like a J. Crew bridesmaid’s dress.

    • B_C_J

This is a very limp dress if the wearer is not moving. Also, the gathering of fabric in front is not very flattering. The color of this gown -human flesh- is absolutely not appealing.

    • Danielle

MAYBE I would have been on board if this were a purple or an emerald. Maybe.

    • MilaXX

Meh, it’s okay. Her hair and face look nice. The dress is standard.

    • http://www.ellenciompi.com/ NurseEllen

It’s amazing how much better this gown looks on the model, with her updo. Of course, it’s a much better color for the model, too….that color of ecru/peach/flesh should be avoided by all pale blonde white women. (I’m one of them, and I know.) None of this is to say it’s a great dress, unless you’re a member of a bridal party. It’s a movie premiere–this is the best she could do?

    • J.W.

My goodness…she’s as thin as Kate Middleton. I’m out of touch…are her roots supposed to be that dark? Is that a “look”?

      • formerlyAnon

        Yes. Irritatingly.

        • J.W.

Thanks. It’s a look I can do without.

    • ceceliadid

Taking the SexySexy highway to Genericsville. She used to be such a cutie, with brown bangs and big eyes.

    • Capt. Renault

When everything’s the same colour, it just highlights the one thing that’s not, namely her roots.

    • KateShouldBeWorking

      Prettiest Scoliosis-Awareness campaign ever.

    • @Biting Panda

Drapery dresses and all the findings in the Charming Charlie’s clearance bin, do not a movie star make.

    • http://redheadedwolf.wordpress.com/ Laura Renee

      Beautiful dress, wrong color.

    • Kayceed

Pretty dress, but a bit too sophisticated for such a young’un.

    • Loramir

I actually think it’s quite pretty and she looks cute (though a different color would be better), but it seems a bit much for a daytime premiere of an Adam Sandler movie.

      • @Biting Panda

I’m thinking a pair of jorts and a tank would have covered it.

        • sugarkane105

Where’s Shailene Woodley when we need her?

    • http://recapscallion.blogspot.com/ Claire

In both color and texture this looks like ABC gum.

    • Melissa Mendes

      Yawn.

    • deelup

      Drunk girl at the prom.

    • Qitkat

      Nopenopenopitynopenope

    • http://www.bertkeeter.com Bert Keeter

Dress almost….Misses for me at the front waist. Looks as if it wasn’t finished and left un-draped?

    • http://www.lippsisters.com/ Deborah Lipp

Breathtaking dress. Color is not for her but I love it in theory.

    • numenah

Waistline looks deformed. Also, I strongly prefer a jeune fille look on girls under 18, so everything here, including the posing, displeases me.

    • Susan Velazquez

This reads “bridesmaid” but since she’s 16, it’s technically more “prom”

    • formerlyAnon

If the dress had some color, and her wrist jewelry was bolder, this’d fly. She’s a bit young for the look, in my aged head, but this is what the young’uns mostly want to look like and she’s slight and pretty enough to pull it off.

    • Gatto Nero

The silhouette and details are pretty (particularly all the V-shaped seaming in the bodice leading into the skirt), but the color is washed out on her.

    • Mona_Visa

My grandmother had these *exact* drapes.

    • Julie Ree

Did every female at this movie’s poledance wear bridemaids dresses?

    • BLauD

I have a feeling they all just came from a wedding and had no time to change out of their horrid bridal party attire. What is happening??

    • MannahattaMamma

Isn’t it all a little much for the premiere of an Adam Sandler movie? Really? The full sex-kitten pout and Barbie-colored gown?

    • Hetha Innis

Can’t believe I like a ZP dress, but the color doesn’t work. Did she brush her hair with a hand mixer or what?

    • Kristi Mitchell

That color reminds me of how popular “mauve” was in the late 80′s and now the thought of the color makes me want to retch. I have a feeling it’s going to be the same for this skin/pale peach-pink type color in about 5 to 10 years.

    • Little_Olive

It’s what an unfinished Barbie looks like, sitting there on the assembly line. Bored now.

    • http://foodycat.blogspot.co.uk/ Alicia

She’s a pretty girl but she is >< close to Jessica Biel-level blandness.

      • siriuslover

I like her red hair much better. Sorry to see her go blond here.

    • KES4K

I don’t understand how she already looks THAT plastic at 16. Not bodysnarking; it’s just that between the makeup and the vacancy behind the eyes and the generic hot girl posing…it feels like she was created in a lab.

    • YoungSally

Shades of Pia Zadora….but don’t know why.

    • http://phantomminuet.blogspot.com/ MinAgain

The bodice looks like she ran into someone from House Bolton on the way to the event.

    • RutGot

Isn’t that dress waaaaaay too formal for the premiere of an Adam Sandler/Drew Barrymore rom com quasi family film?

    • demidaemon

That dress is ugly, though it does do wonderful things for her rear.

    • Closet Crisis

Horrible color, hair and dress, and the DIY head. Urgh.

    • JynxTheCat

If this was a mag spread I would swear they over shopped her shape down this dress really plays with her tiny frame in NOT good ways.

    • nancymae

      And who is she?

    • Andrea Lentz

looks like a bridesmaid dress. but a really pretty one!

    • Muhlyssa

hair is stunning. the rest of it looks like a prom dress and a little bit overdressed for a premiere
