I Dream of Jeannie turns to sex work to pay the rent on the lamp.

      • StillGary

        BAM!

      • colorjunky

        LOL!

    • http://redheadedwolf.wordpress.com/ Laura Renee

Those are some intimidating earrings. I like it.

    • KingCrazy

Pretty girl in an awfully ugly and tacky dress. With matching ugly shoes.

      Sigh.

      • jen_vasm

a literal frankendress. I kinda like it slightly more (or hate it slightly less) with the Easter-colored saran wrap skirt.

        • StillGary

          I know, right?

        • uprightcitizen

The stitching is pretty Frankenstein. I was thinking, though, that it looked like Barbie unleashed her inner Catwoman and threw this together.

      • Crystal

the dress isn’t necessarily awful but THOSE SHOES. THOSE SHOES ARE THE WORST.

    • ccinnc

Better than the model’s version whose taffeta (?) looks chip.

      • StillGary

        …in a chip way.

    • NMMagpie

      Fantasy Barbie.

    • lunchcoma

Well, it’s better than the runway version, but that’s not saying much.

I think this is just a bad idea dress, and I despise the lipstick.

      • Raspberry2012

Oh the lipstick is making me crazy! Make it stop!

    • http://www.snoskred.org/ Snoskred

I really, truly, madly adore this look. So Sparkly! ;)

      • Raspberry2012

I really, really, REALLY love the runway look. But Victoria’s look – nope!

    • kmk05

She looks like a Barbie doll, and so does the model. That is a really cheap-looking dress, and the matchy makeup isn’t helping.

    • TonyGo

Nina Dobrev doppelganger. Hate the color, despise the matchy lip, loathe the shoes.

    • Tanya Wade

Paisley amoeba leather boobs with “sit-upon” camp seat stitching?

    • KinoEye

So, so bad. My eyes are screaming.

      • Kitten Mittons

Can you blink while they do that?

Very very terrible, though I do like her makeup in the close-up shot. At least the original dress was just as bad (imo).

        • KinoEye

Well, the power of the scream tends to make the eyelids recoil from the kinetic energy, so blinking is out of the question. The makeup is pretty good, except for the lipstick. Too Barbie for my liking.

          • Kitten Mittons

It is a bit pink, but if she weren’t wearing that godawful dress, I think I wouldn’t mind.

Can I just say, I’m imagining your eyelids being lifted off your eyeballs by the force of the scream, a la a Ren & Stimpy cartoon, and it is delightful.

            • KinoEye

That’s exactly what I was going for! Glad I could bring some delight into your day :-)

            • Kitten Mittons

              Always, always.

    • ojosazules

It’s so bad I almost love it. The bust! Lalaloopsy realness.

    • CPK1

wow, that is a spectacularly ugly dress in both versions

    • Kbear

Just needs ice skates to complete the look.

    • Emily Smith

Well it suits the venue, that’s for sure.

    • Darren Nesbitt

      Frankenstein’s Barbie

      • Raspberry2012

        I love you.

    • Nancer

Just too much, even though they edited this dress down from the runway version. Crap on top of crap! The dress is crazy.

    • decormaven

I can see that lipstick shade from space.

      • StillGary

but it looks pretty on the dark-eyed brunette who I do not know.

        • Imasewsure

Super popular Nick tv teen princess (of the Ariana Grande variety)

    • SophieCollier

I think most of these stitched-together Versace designs are “in-person” only. They look like crap in photos, but I can see how they would look interesting in person. Still oogy, but interesting.

    • random_poster

It’s an ugly wacky dress, but she makes it look good. Her face looks like it’s been photoshopped into perfection.

    • Little_Olive

      I can’t do a Barbie joke, it’s too easy.

      Any other ideas?

      • Little_Olive

Also: I will not get tired of saying that Versace collection was a sham. Or a shame. Either works.

      • demidaemon

Well, if you are hellbent on using dolls, there’s always Bratz, etc…

    • Julie Chase

Wow. That is some Tacky Prom Dress that Would Have Gotten Me Grounded realness.

    • JauntyJohn

Remember in Disney’s “Cinderella” when, after the little mice and birds made a gown for Cinderella her Wicked Stepsisters ripped it to shreds? “That’s MY sash! That’s MY ribbon! That’s MY silk!” leaving her standing in a little shift, not much more than a pale, torn, glittery slip?
      This is that to me.
She is working it like it’s last call on a cold night, but somehow this is just not happening for me.
I DO love those earrings though, and the nails are fun.

    • Lynda

I’m not usually one to criticize for a “costumey” outfit – but this one really does look like a sort of Frankenstein Fairy dress. It’s interesting. I’ll give it that – and it’s worn at the right venue – but add some steampunk wings and wear it at Halloween and you would win all the awards.

    • bunnydiet

Looks like they should still be sewing it!

    • colleenjanel

Neck up is killer (even with the slightly obnoxious lip color. at least it’s not bright orange). And I kind of love the nail color. But that dress. Oh sweet baby jeebus, that dress.

    • StillGary

      Halle Berry is FURIOUS!
and don’t even say it … she would so wear this.

    • Darcy H

Classiest lady at the stripper convention.

    • http://www.beautifymylifeblog.com Jessica

This is downright demure for her. It’s a long way from classy, but I’ve seen worse. The lipstick is awful.

    • http://medium.com/@directordanic Danielle Colman

It’s like high-fashion Sally from Nightmare Before Christmas.

    • In_Stitches

I like it. It’s an MTV event and she’s under 20. She can get away with something so sweet. Normally I’d chastise it for veering towards the vulgar, but in this day of sheers and cut outs, it’s not that bad.

      • Andrew Schroeder

        She’s 21.

        • In_Stitches

Nowadays the smart ones are ‘under 20′ until they’re 25. At least that’s the argument I’m going to use for my mistake…

    • Kelly

A tacky Frankenstein dress. With hoof shoes. I’ll give her a little bit of a pass for the venue, but not much.

    • what not

It’s screaming “edgy” without actually be edgy in any way. Which is basically any MTV award show in a nutshell.

In other news, the tilted boob thing is a little distracting. Better on her than on the model, though.

    • Imasewsure

You can spot Versace from a mile away, no? Still I think it’s working on VJ (but on her only – no no no to you Xtina and CoCo Ice Tea)…. Would have been much improved without the sparkly cut outs – especially on the longer version but I’ve seen worse

    • Zeee

This gave me a headache in my eye.

    • CB

She looks about a million times better than the model–the bust is WONKY on that model.

      • kimmeister

I think it’s because she’s in motion. But it’s somewhat wonky on Victoria too – I just don’t think it’s possible to not be wonky.

    • Jacqueline Wessel

Because it’s for the MTV Movie awards, I dislike it less than I should. That lipstick color is awful though.

    • crash1212

One quick flick of her head and she’s gonna lacerate her carotid with those earrings.

    • Sara Brams-Miller

It looks like they were trying to recreate Sally’s dress from Nightmare Before Christmas . . .

    • Anne

“What’s the matter, Morty? You couldn’t even buy her a whole dress?”

    • Crystal

I mean I love sparkles but that’s a LOT of pink. And skin. Also I’m pretty sure those are bridesmaid hooker shoes, which is a feat of ugliness I see rarely. Also I hate peep toes. Also HELLO earrings!

Basically, girl you’re really attractive. keep the earrings and figure out something else.

    • Stella Zawistowski

When I rip the cellophane off my Easter basket, this is not what I want to find underneath.

    • Kent Roby

I’m okay with this dress for MTV, but can’t imagine any other venue where it would be “appropriate” (it is actually too demure for the AVNs).

    • suzq

That is the most magnificent example of an unconventional materials challenge that I’ve ever seen anywhere. What are those things? Placemats? Table runners? Held together with strapping material? Those Versace guys are GENIUS!

    • prettyinmink

In the long shot, this didn’t look too bad. But the medium and close-up shots are tragic.

    • boweryboy

She should have kept the flowy length. It would still be tacky but at least tacky and interesting. This minidress version is old fashioned tacky with a little bit of trashy thrown in for good measure.

    • Nika E

Versace looks cheap.. Cheap looking fabrics, materials and tacky design. That could be a $3000 dress but it looks like it came from the stipper costume shop. She only looks bad because of the dress and that dreadful barbie doll pink lipstick. I wish that trend would fade.

    • littlestars

Love the nails and everything from the neck up, but the dress and shoes are…unfortunate.

    • marlie

I really didn’t need to see her in lipstick the exact same color as that ugly, tacky dress.

    • Gatto Nero

This is awful. The dress looks cheap, and there’s too much skin on show.

    • Trickytrisha

      Hooker fantasy dress.

    • http://foodycat.blogspot.co.uk/ Alicia

?Is this what they call radiant orchid? It really belongs on a darker-skinned woman, I think, and not with matching lippy.

    • Pennymac

That dress has had hip replacement surgery…

    • Gracie82

I think she looks pretty, but I do miss the days when musicians would come to these award shows and dress funky and weird and everyone would be talking about it the next day. Now, I think they are too afraid to not look perfect, and its too bad. Makes for boring red carpets.

    • Jacob Bowen

This is an unconventional materials challenge on PR where they’re dressing baseball cheerleaders because it’s like she’s wearing a dress made of deconstructed Barbie pink BASEBALLS!

    • http://asskickingadviser.com/ Ass Kicking Adviser

      Skating costume.

    • http://www.bertkeeter.com Bert Keeter

A whole lot of detail, sewing, leather piecing …. doesn’t add up to much!

    • Danielle

      Thanks, it’s a Ver-sayce.

      • Dagney

        I just laughed out loud.

    • MilaXX

No girl. I prefer the original. You made a Versace ho dress look like a Forever 21 ho dress with those alterations dye to match shoes.

    • Milos Mom

A lilac frankenstein dress with a weird single reflective hip adornment. Cut your stylist off quick my dear….

    • OffToSeeHim

She looks so pretty! And she’s so nice too, I met her at the Nickelodeon Day of Play in Riverside Park, and they were RUSHING her all over the place, but she still stopped and took a picture with my daughter and several other little girls who had been waiting to see her. (Miranda Cosgrove, OTOH, had security guards keeping people 20 feet back.) It must be really tough to be a teenage star, so many weirdoes out there these days. I was *stunned* by how beautiful those Nickelodeon girls are in person.

    • KT

      Tacky as shit.

    • demidaemon

What a tacky, hideous dress. Even Adore would say, “That’s too cheap for me, girl.”

    • quiltrx

She is giving some lovely face! She’s another of the Nickelodeon bunch who is having trouble finding her own style, but hopefully she’ll get there.

    • Dagney

Makeup courtesy of Play-Doh. What the hell…????

    • http://armchairauthor.wordpress.com/ LesYeuxHiboux

She’s the top of my irrationally exhausting list, every time I see her it makes me feel tired. This XTREME tryhard dress and the hideous ensemble it’s a part of wear me out. Is she auditioning to play Miss Spiderman in the ice capades? The world is full up on Nina Dobrevs, kid.

    • mjmiller77

I like the shoes, and makeup and hair are great. The dress is crazy weird, and the matchy lipstick… ew.

    • Haley Buchanan

Hers is FAR better than the model’s. Being that the venue is the MTV Movie awards, this may actually work!

    • Clash D

I have no idea who she is or what she does but the gal sure loves her Versace (second time I’ve seen her wearing the brand since the Nick awards).
      The earrings are Ug-lay.

    • holla

come on, people! This is one of the venues to wear costumey get ups. I think it looks ok, but the lips color is a bit too matchy. Love the earings, needs better shoes.

    • ♠♥zee♣♦

She is working this. Love every aspect of it. Except those earrings. Those earrings just are a little too much for this look.

    • mila_8

Ready to send me to the corner? I like it. For the event she’s going to I’m sure she had her choice to metallic mini-dresses. Nice to see she chose something different and I like the spring color.
