Let’s all agree to be nice. She’s been struggling in her red carpet style, in that adorable way newly minted stars do. This isn’t perfect, but it’s a huge step in the right direction. And besides, how often does anyone get it perfect on the red carpet?
“Orange Is The New Black” actress Taylor Schilling attends the 2014 Reel Stories, Real Lives Benefiting The Motion Picture & Television Fund at Milk Studios Hollywood, California in a Roksanda Ilincic ‘Avery’ dress paired with a Salvatore Ferragamo clutch, Christian Louboutin slingback pumps, and Rosestone Jewelry.
Okay, the color and the shape of the dress look really fabulous on her. We thought we hated the shoes, but we’re coming around to loving them. We’re just not sure they work with the dress. If our eyes go straight to the floor upon looking at you, that’s probably an argument against the shoes with this dress. Those sleeve things look okay from the side, but they make her look bulky from the front. Hair and makeup are really good, though. The fact that she looks polished and coordinated – and that she’s wearing a real color and not some namby-pamby neutral – are all very encouraging signs. Attagirl. We can handle the shoes. But that clutch is so very wrong.
