The new Jolie/Pitt of phoning it in?

      • what not

Not a bad power move, though. “Oh, another one of these? Well, I’ll just throw on some Narciso and lippy, you do your craggy thing, and then we’ll come home and watch Netflix.” Why try when you’re too jointly famous to have to bother?

      • VicD

Who even cares what they are wearing … they are gorgeous just standing there. And, nothing wrong, with these clothes, the shoes, the hair, the makeup – everything is just understated, and it works for them.

    • Sobaika

The hair and makeup on the lovely Ms. Weisz don’t exactly look fresh.

      • ScarlettHarlot

JBF hair, no? Looks like they pulled a Watts-Schreiber maneuver in the limo.

        • sojourneryouth

That’s what I’m thinking. I’m thinking that SO HARD!

        • Mrs. Julien

I think we are all thinking that.

          • DaringMiss

Yup! First thing that came to my mind!

        • Marph

Can you blame either of them?

        • Leah Elzinga

and with that mental image playing gif-style in my head… I’ll be in my bunk.

      • Rhonda Shore

Red, vice fuschia, is a better lip color for her and the hair parted down the middle…she sure does look elated though.

    • http://foodycat.blogspot.co.uk/ Alicia

      Dude, that’s not your hair.

      • random_poster

        It ages him.

      • http://redheadedwolf.wordpress.com/ Laura Renee

It’s a brilliant strategy of emphasizing the receding hairline! (I squinted at him, wondering at the resemblance to Liam Neeson.)

      • kimmeister

It’s not his suit jacket either, it’s at least a size too small in the shoulders.

      • Amanda Welliver

It all reads Manilow to me.

        • http://foodycat.blogspot.co.uk/ Alicia

Manilow/ douchebag trader who thought Wall Street was inspirational.

      • CPK1

yes, indeed. Blow dried poofy hair is not his friend. Looks so much better with cropped hair

    • Sarah

Aww. I always think she’s so beautiful, and this dress is so…not.

    • MilaXX

Rachel couldn’t comb her hair or wear jewelry?

      • SweetJess MeanGreen

Or have her assistant iron her dress.

      • ScarlettHarlot

It’s what is known as the half-Woodley.

    • In_Stitches

They both need hair appointments desperately. I think her look may have been saved with some accessories. A few big, chunky cold pieces. Maybe a cuff and some door knockers?

    • Glam Dixie

White is not a friend to her complexion. Neither is her makeup.

    • Kent Roby

I’m assuming her hair looked perfect….just before he shagged her in the limo.

      • CPK1

But his hair, on the other hand, is Elnett perfect. He looks like a catalogue model.

    • suzq

Are they promoting a movie or attending a reception for insurance company executives?

      • random_poster

Right? He just got a promotion for making his annual quota.

      • kimmeister

Neither, apparently. I’m not sure what this gala is actually about.

    • lunchcoma

Gorgeous people in boring clothes. Can a couple jointly pull a Jolie?

    • KinoEye

Considering the people wearing these clothes, I’d say it was the Night of Missed Opportunities.

      • decormaven

Amen. The lighting at the venue is doing them no favors, either.

    • http://twitter.com/#!/Space_Kitty Space Kitty

OH COME NOW MR. CRAIG WE KNOW YOU CAN WEAR A SUIT

    • HomeOfficeGirl

I thought they both looked good… not great. But I read some others’ comments and I can see the dings. They didn’t exactly go above and beyond here. So I will just add – THIS is good “movie couple” posing… they have some chemistry, but it’s not a scandal or try-hard. They look like they honestly like each other. And if there was a rumor that my messy hair could possibly been the result of a moment of abandon in the limo with Daniel Craig, well then… I’d just have to let that go, now wouldn’t I??

      • Be Arthur

        They’re married.

        • HomeOfficeGirl

They are? Haha! I’m the village idiot today.

    • Anna

Daniel’s look is not so much James Bond and more Assistant Regional Manager of Dunder-Mifflin.

Rachel looks like she changed out of her sweatpants about half an hour before when Daniel reminded her they had to be at this event.

      • Kitten Mittons

        Assistant TO the Regional Manager

        • Anna

Yes, you’re absolutely right. That’s an important distinction.

    • Tricia

I love them both; it’s hard for me to hate. :p

    • rissa42210

      I’m SO BORED!

    • http://victoriapavlova.com Victoria Pavlova

She’s boring, he’s an old bureaucrat

    • jw_ny

Dang he looks fine! She…almost fades off into the background…

    • Mrs. Julien

      Thank you!

    • ojosazules

Rachel, what the hell are you smiling about? Oh… right. Never mind…

      • Mrs. Julien

Never mind pulling a Jolie/Pitt, they look like they pulled a Watts/Schreiber.

        • demidaemon

They are covering all the major Hollywood couple tropes today!

    • NBG

Meh, I’m going with the limo sex theory. That’s the only thing that makes this remotely interesting.

    • http://vispreeve.tumblr.com/ Den Milano

I don’t know why, but when I saw the thumbnail picture I thought they were wax figures.

    • Jessica Freeman

Well this is just all sorts of boring.

    • marlie

They both look… fine. They look like any other couple going out for a date night, and they just happened to go to a restaurant that had a red carpet. His slightly fuller hair makes him look older.

    • Emily Smith

Do you think they do Bond roleplay in the bedroom? I like to think they do. In fact I’d believe it if you told me they did right before coming to this event.

      • bitchybitchybitchy

That’s what i like to think about Naomi Watts and Liev Schrieber, too-that they’ve just had a quickie in the limo before alighting for the RC

    • Janet B

They look a bit ordinary, but I’ll give them a pass this one time.
I don’t like this color of grey on him.

    • Kelly

Her hair looks unkempt, the dress is too long (and wrinkled to boot), the shoes are boring. He looks like any guy on a subway in the morning rush. Yawn.

    • http://www.readbarbara.com/ ReadBarbara

I am hoping the lighting was terrible at that event, because they both look like they are three seconds from coming down with the flu.

    • kat89

She needs a new hairstyle. It’s time.

    • rloliveira

Nothing about their clothing is good: his suit is ill-fitted, her dress is pulling and not flattering, but look at the way he holds her hand, look how close they are standing next to one another. Looks like love to me.

    • Mousentrude

Despite the fact that they’ve clearly made very little effort, I still think they look lovely. I think she’s got the charisma to carry off a simple dress and while I don’t normally go for Mr Craig, he looks cute here. Definitely want to be her and do him.

    • formerlyAnon

Do I really care? I mean, he’s a successful, quite attractive man, actually married to a woman almost his own age, who normally looks . . . a bit better dressed than this. My fantasy world approval of him is undeterred by facts such as an unflattering hair style, here, and not knowing a damn thing about him in real life. She’s grandfathered in under his umbrella.

    • golden_valley

I wish he would hold my hand that way. Oh…we’re supposed to talk about clothes and styling? Oh…

      • andi56

        Best comment today! : )

      • Mrs. Julien

Funny you should mention that. The way he puts his arm around her at events SLAYS me.

    • andi56

I love when nice, Jewish girls get the hot guys.

    • LaSylphide

Impossibly gorgeous. And she looks nice too.

    • ShaoLinKitten

They are gorgeous and no doubt fabulously wealthy, so why the ill-fitting clothes?

    • antonialee

      They both pulled a Jolie!

    • somebody blonde

Wow. Growing out his hair really ages him, doesn’t it? Otherwise they look utterly unremarkable.

    • Judih1

Snooze. I agree this is the couple’s equivalent of “pulling a Jolie.”

    • boweryboy

I don’t like his ’70s porn star hair.

    • mickiemonkey

      They should reproduce.

    • demidaemon

He looks pretty good. She is the epitome of Dullsville.

    • Qitkat

They look fine, but unremarkable. She is very pretty, and can look much more glamorous. I think if he were to have his eyes “done,” it would open up his face, as it is they are aging him prematurely. I’ve always liked him better in motion in films, rather than still shots, they don’t do him justice. You may laugh, but I really liked him in Cowboys and Aliens, even if it was a preposterous movie.

      • FrigidDiva

I won’t laugh because I loved him in that movie too. I just wish that him and Harrison Ford would make a regular western and throw Russell Crowe in for good measure.

      • Amel

Cowboys & Aliens was a PERFECT expression of its genre. HOW can you get cooler than having cowboys AND gold-greedy aliens in the same movie??
… clearly I was the target audience for that film

      • formerlyAnon

Cowboys and Aliens is in my “stupid movies that make me laugh” file. It can’t compete with Buckaroo Banzai or Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure (The peak of Keanu Reeve’s career, in my opinion), but it has earned its place.

      HAIR

    • 4JJ

I don’t actually mind the dress, hair or makeup, though the dress non-colour doesn’t do much for her rich colouring. It’s the absence of jewellery that is bugging me.
