      That’s…different.

    • KinoEye

Well… that’s weird. My eyes can’t go anywhere but that weird sky blue ombre business in the middle. The rest is heavy and unflattering, and the patterns in the top and skirt (they appear to be separate?) clash.

The nails bug beyond all reason.

      • MilaXX

An additional shade of blue that clashes with all the other shades if blue in the dress.

      • Maya

I missed them on my initial scroll down. After I read your comment of course I had to go back and examine them and UGH what has been seen can not be unseen!

    • rockin robin

I liked it at first, but on closer inspection it falls apart. The gold accessories just clash, badly.

    • @Biting Panda

Well, I’ve not seen this dress before….

      • demidaemon

        For a very good reason.

    • http://www.youtube.com/user/TheOctocornNetwork International Model

      Malted speckled egg nails.

      • random_poster

That sweet malted taste immediately came to mind when I saw those nails.

    • Carleenml

Cool on the model. Reality looks like getting something from Zappo’s that looks nothing like it did on the screen.

      • Nancer

Yes, this exactly. The version on the model has more intense color going on, while the version on Hayley looks washed out. It’s a very tricky dress, I wouldn’t recommend it for the red carpet. Or perhaps for anyone anywhere.

        • Carleenml

and the entire center looks like t-shirt material.

    • alyce1213

A Frankendress. The top looks like insulating material and the bottom is trying to be something interesting, but together they amount to ugly.

      • eowyn_of_rohan

The top is pure Reynolds Wrap Couture.

      • MilaXX

I was so blinded by the earrings & bag I missed the other accessories. I think this dress really didn’t need anything more than earring

    • SugarSnap108

At first glance, I sort of liked this. My mistake was taking additional glances.

    • Grumpy Girl

I realize that silver jewelries would go too matchy, but the gold just jars against that silver dress. And, as others have pointed out, the nails are a whole other spectrum in the blue family. They shouldn’t match the dress, but they need to accent the color . . . may I recommend a coral? The dress is funky odd, but with better styling, it would have just been odd, rather than crazy art project gone awry.

      • Sarah

Yasss those nailses don’t maaatch aaargh

    • schadenfreudelicious

“Those nails looked like such a good idea on Pinterest”….

    • decormaven

How in the world did someone think that jewelry and clutch went with that dress? Wackadoo.

    • rosie5215

On the model, this dress looks like if you stare at it too long, it will wipe your memory.

    • lunchcoma

The dress is fine, but I think it needed more sophisticated hair, accessories, and makeup. She’s trying to make it casual and funky, and I don’t think it works when pushed in that direction.

    • crash1212

Interesting dress, but everything she used to accessorize doesn’t go – so blatantly doesn’t go as to be offensive.

    • Danielle

EXCELLENT on the model. I can’t quite figure out why it looks so bizarre in reality.

      • kimmeister

Because it requires a PhD in Wearing Things that poor Hayley just doesn’t have.

        • demidaemon

          Yep.

      • http://foodycat.blogspot.co.uk/ Alicia

The model is about a foot taller than Hayley, so the top sits in a nice, 60s futuristic empire line. On Hayley it falls to frumpy waist line.

    • Jen

Remember those magic shirts that looked like doll clothes, but were ‘one size fits all’ ? This looks like the crop top version. Without the weird top I think this could have been a pretty dress though.

    • Jacqueline Wessel

I like the embossed texture on the top, but not so much how it is translated in the skirt. I think that weird turquoise area would be better if it was bordered by the grey print on either the top of the skirt or the bottom, not both.

    • Anna

I don’t get it. Are you supposed to bake the top half for 45 minutes at 350F?

      • demidaemon

You are so on my wavelength. Baked potato couture!

    • E2_Remote

This could have *maybe* worked at a different venue, but against that backdrop? Not a chance.

    • ScarlettHarlot

      Make up is too shiny.

      • Rhonda Shore

Her make-up is the best aspect of this look…at least she looks radiant.

    • http://www.beautifymylifeblog.com Jessica

This reminds me of those shirts that shrink to be doll-sized when you’re not wearing them, but are mysteriously expandable to be real person sized. I’m describing that terribly, but hopefully someone knows what I mean. I’m so confused by this whole look.

      • seventeenwest

YES. I was just about to make the same comment!

    • MilaXX

This dress was an easy look and she frakked it up with the wrong earrings and nails.

    • Jacob Bowen

Silver or just a non-distracting color nail would be SO much better, and silver earrings (while being matchy) would be SO much better than these clashy-ugly Claires earrings.

      • MilaXX

The dress is so tricky I think black accessories might have been better & soft pink nails instead if royal blue.

    • B_C_J

This is an interesting dress but the hair looks like an afterthought. Also, the gold earrings, bracelet & clutch are not working at all. The nails are a horror.

    • luludexter

      ugly ugly dress!

    • Stefanie Argudo Mackenzie

      It’s just ugly.

    • Mrs. Julien

That dress is so ugly, it reminded me that I hadn’t voted in Fug Madness yet today.

    • AlexisPayne

Too tight, too tricky, face a little too shiny.

    • PastryGoddess

If you’re not going to bother posing, then don’t wear a tricky dress.

    • Kent Roby

Aside for wanting to steam her crotch (literally, of course), I kinda like this dress, especially the skirt, for being so different.

    • Darcy H

      No no no no no
      Gold accessories die now
      Seriously why

      • Qitkat

I see what you did there :)

    • RedRaven617

Great dress, lousy styling. Yellow earrings? Gold purse? And bright blue nails? A five year old could’ve done a better job.

    • FrigidDiva

This would look SO much better as a mini. Ditch the blue nails and the jarring accessories and I think this would work. As it is, eh not so much in person but it does on the model.

    • Gatto Nero

I’m trying to like this dress, but it’s not working.
The nails are horrible. Clutch and jewelry hurt my eyes.

    • VicD

      Um, no. That is all.

    • nannypoo

I don’t hate the dress but the accessories, manicure and greasy makeup job are really awful.

    • Kitten Mittons

That dress has too many elements going on. Do not want.

    • http://batman-news.com boweryboy

I like the top half and I like the bottom half. I don’t like the two halves as a whole. Like the shoes. Hair, manicure and accessories are all wrong for the look.

      • somebody blonde

The two halves wouldn’t even bother me together except that they transition so clumsily. A black band in the middle would’ve completely changed the look.

        • Myra Amler

Yes, but also shorten it to knee length and get rid of that Charlie Brown looking pattern at the bottom too.

    • Myra Amler

That is a whole lot of dress…and not in a good way.

    • suzq

      1. The top and bottom do not go together.
      2. The skirt is ugly.
      3. The logo in the “step and repeat” reminds me of Empire Kosher Chicken. No, EKC’s logo looks nothing like this (except for the little banner) but the wording and design remind me of a chicken company log.

    • http://phantomminuet.blogspot.com/ MinAgain

Needs a belt. And a manicurist.

    • marlie

The execution isn’t perfect, and the dress is a little weird, but I sort of like it. It requires a PhD lever wearer to make it work, though.

      • conniemd

Yes. I kept staring at the dress not sure if I liked it or not. It’s definitely visually interesting. She’s lacking the star’s confidence needed to pull it off.

    • http://www.ellenciompi.com/ NurseEllen

I want Jessica Pare to wear this SO BADLY.

    • Lisa M. (ReVoir) Kramp

Fine actress, pretty lady. Who did she piss off that they put her in that dress?

    • ‘Becca’lise Deveaux

      House of Wax.

    • quiltrx

Too weird, not even really a ‘dress’ to my eye. The bottom is kind of interesting but the spacing of the design is weird. And the top doesn’t go with it at all.
And I like the fabric treatment on the top…but the sewist in me is asking “would it stay that way?”

    • demidaemon

It’s pleated aluminum foil connected to a tablecloth. Kitchen chic everyone!

      Definitely a miss.

    • MartyBellerMask

I like the dress, but the gold accessories have GOT to go, as does the Brach’s-Speckled-Eggs manicure.

    • Shug

Leaving the chevron patterned texture off the silver top would help…I think?

    • Danielle West

      That makes my eyes hurt.

    • Kelly

Jiff-Jiff-Jiffy-Pop top. Plus shiny face. But I still kinda like the idea of the dress; it just doesn’t actually work.

    • http://weirdinedgewise.blogspot.com ONEWEIRDWORD

What an unfortunate backdrop for this dress
