I had a cosmetic travel bag with the same design as the print of this dress.

    • sagecreek

Didn’t we all, honey. Didn’t we all.

    • antonialee

      Lulu Guinness?

  • hughman

That dress, Moschino did it better.

  • LipstickForPigs

Cut the hair, lose the center part, rehab that color, give me those shoes, burn the dress.
    Also, nails. No.

    • Rhonda Shore

      Center parts are so unforgiving.

      • paginatrix

How did they ever become popular? I blame Marcia Brady.

        • Rhonda Shore

It preceded poor Marcia. It was an earnest hippie look. that I unfortunately sported in the early seventies.

          • schadenfreudelicious

I went through my Susan Dey phase…also in the early seventies….

          • Wendi126

Had mine til 1978 when I stopped straightening it with middle part ala Jaclyn Smith…and went natural

      • Violentcello

Unforgiving, exactly. They can be cute, but for most of us they probably won’t.

        • MoHub

My hairstylist expressly forbade me from center parting my hair, and for that, I am forever grateful.

    • schadenfreudelicious

I should think those nails would not be conducive to new baby diaper changing….

      • Rhonda Shore

she’s probably not doing a whole lot of the diaper changing…

    • GeoDiva

      Major color rehab is needed.

      • littlemac8

And who thinks hair curling around your boobs is attractive? I wish these super long extensions would die a thousand deaths!

    • Durteemartini

My hairstylist won’t let me do it. All he would say was, “water buffalo”.

  • Victor Beiramar Diniz

good god! is she trying to pull a wintour in that first pic?

    • Lucía Gavello

Was she always so bad at posing? Honey, you’re not supposed to thrust your pelvis forward for a “check out my rear” pose, ask Nicki.

  • eowyn_of_rohan

Hair too long, hem too short.

  • Shelby

I like that the lips dress is making a return…

    • Rhonda Shore

Once Rihanna wore it, noone else stood a chance.

      • Shelby

Agreed. I’m hoping more stars and starlets will wear the dress. I want to keep a list of who wears it badly and who wears it well. 😀

  • Kitten Mittons

I hate the print of the dress on her, but the cut of it really is pretty flattering, and modest for Fergie.
I kind of love the shoes, but not with this dress.

She’s looking pretty great post-baby, so I’ll keep quiet on the hair and makeup.

    • lexilexi

If only she and SJP would do something with their hair…..

      • Kitten Mittons

        If only….

Maybe Fergie will decide on a new look now. I chopped all my hair off and went with a new style post-baby. Funnily enough, changing my look made me feel like myself again. I don’t think that’s uncommon for new moms.

Something shoulder-length and softer would be so pretty on Fergie.

        • Sarah

I agree about the softer for Fergie’s hair. My sister chopped post-baby because of grabby hands and the difficulty grooming that plagues new mothers.

          • Ginger

I never got the difficulty grooming that everybody complains about. My husband is a very hands-on father and does A LOT. Maybe that’s the difference? I don’t know. Either way, if I didn’t take a shower every morning and at least brush my hair and teeth and put on something presentable, then I felt like shit for the remainder of the day.

          • Sarah

Good for you! My sister got to be quite a pro, but I was around for the first one and though her husband is also very helpful, she was quite a wreck. She is also NOT able to be hands-off, and her children are in college now. So maybe just her personality type.

          • Kitten Mittons

The only grooming difference for me personally is that it takes longer to blow dry longer hair. Otherwise, it’s all about the same to me.

          • Kitten Mittons

            Both very good, practical reasons.

I really think my cut was more about getting my body back, or my identity, or something. Pregnancy was wonderful, and I really did love most of it, but there is this strange sense that your body isn’t entirely your own. Since I wasn’t coloring my hair while pregnant, I pretty much didn’t bother with hair cuts and just let it grow much longer than I ever do normally. That first cut and color was kind of like, “Ok, how do ‘I’ want ‘MYSELF’ to look?”

I can’t say that’s everyone’s experience, but it was mine.

      • Rhonda Shore

Add Madge’s to the list of unfortunate hairdos that won’t go away…

    • kimmeister

She’s practically a nun in comparison to Jennifer Hudson, in terms of modesty!

      • Kitten Mittons

        You’re so right!

  • dickylarue

I really want to dress in drag and wear that to a Rocky Horror Picture Show midnight screening.

    • Imasewsure

Tim Curry would love gorgeous in this so I say get your drag on and Curry It the F Up!!! 🙂

    • MartyBellerMask

      Let there be lips!!!

  • ashtangajunkie

Someone needs some help with their red carpet posing. The dress is pretty cute, but I’m not loving it on Fergie.

    • MartyBellerMask

She looks like she’s peeing on the wall.

  • SophieCollier

Can we please be done with the lip print clothing? It’s a dumb trend.

  • Lori

I’m totally indifferent to the rest of it, but I want those shoes.

  • Tricia Rose

Thank God that wall was there. It looks like she was having a hard time standing up!

  • stubbornthoughts

I can’t believe she looks this old at 39 with all that work done to her face. She has some unfortunate Kristy Alley features going on in image #1.

    • charlotte

I was going to say the same thing! When did she turn into Kirstie Aley?

    • boweryboy

Did she get work done? Is that what is wrong with her face?

I know she bounced back from drug addiction,so every time I see a post of her I think she must have lived hardcore between the lady lumps song and now for her face to look so old.

    • KendraMR

Years as a tweaker is hard to erase from your face.

    • CakesOnAPlane

      I saw Courtney Love.

  • Danielle

I can see your bra. Go home and try again.

  • sugarkane105

That’s some of the worst hair I’ve seen since the last Fergie post.

    Also, ashy knees. Tsk.

  • boweryboy

She looks like she should be saying:

” I just want you to know, if you ever need anything, don’t be shy, OK? There are NO rules in the house. I’m not like a regular mom, I’m a cool mom.”

  • Jacob Bowen

Honestly if she had a redo on the hair and makeup (and hid her bra) it would be perfectly fine! The shoes are killer and the dress actually looks good on her.

  • crash1212

I love that dress. Love. I think she looks good here. I wish she’d do something else with her hair, but the rest seems to be working just fine for her.

  • It’s nearly psychotic..

  • Wink

Burn the dress. Give the shoes to Jennifer Hudson to complete her dominatrix outfit. Cut your hair, and ditch the center part. That is all.

  • Denise Rambo

I HATE those pointy nails. They look like talons.

    • Ginger

Me, too. I wish that trend would die right along with the multi-colored Pinterest nails trend.

  • Cheryl

Obviously the instructions to this event must have been, wear something a size too small for you. First Jennifer Hudson, now this? At least Jennifer’s hair was cute, that mop is hideous. Fergie was sexy as a brunette, this just looks trailer trash.

    • Beardslee

Really bad color for her. She looks washed out. Ash blond is not for everyone, or probably most people.

  • malarson2

She has aged past this outfit. And I’m not talking about her number-age. I’m talking about her look-age. Also, not loving how the pic of the dress on the model shows that little slit-flippy that immediately made me think I could see her…well, slit-flippy.

  • decormaven

Were Fergie and JHud were paid to shill for this event? If they were, why weren’t they wearing lines from Brown Shoe Co.? And if they weren’t paid, why in the world were they there? Just to get their photo snapped? Color me befuddled.

    • alyce1213

I’m doing a bit of light research lately:
“Brown Shoe’s wholesale divisions own and market leading footwear brands including Naturalizer, LifeStride, Via Spiga, Sam Edelman. The company also markets licensed brands including Franco Sarto, Etienne Aigner, Dr. Scholl’s, Carlos by Carlos Santana, Fergie Footwear, and Vince branded footwear.” Also Buster Browns, of course.

      • Both she and Jennifer Hudson would have looked better in Dr. Scholl’s.

      • decormaven

Thanks! It makes more sense now. Does JHud have a shoe contract or is looking to “sponsor” a line? Curious about that.

  • marlie

I hate the dress by itself, but it’s SO much more appropriate for the event, and still “Fergie.” Also, I really like it when she doesn’t go the Steven Tyler or Johnny Depp route with her clothes and styling. This isn’t perfect, but it’s a good start.

  • butterflysunita

So far it seems like no one was well dressed at this Brown Shoe event. Fergie definitely is better dressed than Jennifer Hudson–that’s all I have.

  • Joanna

I know that this isn’t her best style-wise . . . but her face looks more natural than it has in very long time, and I am thrilled that her eyebrows aren’t completely painted on.

  • If I wore that people would think it was hilarious.

    • nannypoo

Me too. And, in fact, her too.

      • But in your case, and hers, no one thinks it’s a silly pun based on your name.

  • Noah

She’s been in the game long enough to know how to pose. Come on, Fergie. Bring it.

  • ThaliaMenninger

Fergie seems to belong to a different era, one with Christina Aguilera and Mariah Carey and other trashy, hard, more-is-never-enough celebs. I don’t know. I just feel like maybe we’re looking for something softer and nicer these days. Or not. I mean, Rihanna, J-Hud in that bondage dress, J-Lo, so many others… Ugh.

  • nannypoo

She always looks like something nearby smells bad.

  • conniemd

Remind me again why Fergie gets invites to events like this? She looks like overblown skank that is aging. Her next job might be the madame of the house since the customers prefer the younger women to her.

  • MightyMarshal

I like the dress and the shoes together but the hair isn’t cute and neither the face. They both age her. And someone teach her to pose.

  • Ashleigh

Better than she’s looked in AGES – you go girl

  • Saint Laurent? Belongs down on Santee Alley with a sign hung around it’s neck “Two for $69”. What a joke! That print and dress design has been at every price point from UNGARO to MARSHALLS…

    • Aroo

And this dress cost more than £2000 and they didn’t bother to match the pattern up. That makes it look really cheap in my eyes.

  • MilaXX

Cute. Not a single complaint. She looks great.

  • unbornfawn

Lip dresses really are a thing. Oh my.

  • Imasewsure

I think this is perfect for her and remember what her compatriot JHud wore to this event before you judge Fergie too harshly…

  • KT

Ooof… this is really mean but… she looks like an old witch. SORRY

  • FridaStaire

What the hell is going on with the model’s thighs?

  • ellatheingenue

A lip dress aand naked shoes. Oh boy

  • VicD

Aw, I like her. I think she’s being true to herself here – face it, this is her style. I can’t fault her for being true to her style.

  • antonialee

I really wish she would do something different with her hair.

  • demidaemon

This is pretty cute actually, but those extensions have got to go. The hair is majorly distracting from the rest of the look.

  • lucasuk82

Given the very low bar she’s set for herself sartorially, this isn’t bad. Good shape, not too short, flattering makeup. A low ponytail and some simple silver earrings would have been a more polished balance to the fun print.

  • lunchcoma

Enough with this lip pattern already. This isn’t like a floral, where there’s countless variations. Red lips are red lips, and I’ve seen at least three other celebrities in it in the past month.

    • Amel

Not just lip patterns generally, but this exact dress has been worn by at least 2 other stars in the past month-ish. It’s certainly cute but its “unique” factor kind of declines

  • Kelly

It ought to be a cute look, but instead, it’s trashy. That back shot makes her look as if she’s using a urinal. Also, why is this a red-carpet event? A shoe company’s SE anniversary?

  • MaggieMae

The shoes are, by far, the best part.

  • Mary Lauer

I was gonna ask, is this from an older collection? Because I seriously have seen that before. But no, 2014. 8-(

  • Jennifer

Not a fan of the lip dress, but I love the shoes. Gimme.

  • quiltrx

Ugh, I can’t with this one. She SERIOUSLY needs a makeover. Those shoes are killa though.

  • kat

seems the print is a dvf knockoff, the shoes i’ve seen before, and, as others have commented already, her hair color leaves something to be desired. i love her, truly, but the Look is tired & the hair color makes Her look tired. i think these guys don’t use their stylists on smaller events, and we can tell!?!

  • MannahattaMamma

Can’t not see this as hooker. and not even expensive hooker, just…hooker. makes me sad.

  • ScarlettHarlot

I always thinks she looks so much better with less makeup.
