• Sarah

Yay! I like the sturdy heels and the beaded numbers.

  • another_laura

Hey, I really like these! I’m so surprised! YEA!!

  • Jacob Bowen

Since WHEN are HAIRY FEET a great look for the runway?!?!?

    • kimmeister

New for Fall 2014: Hobbit chic.

    • flamingo1092

OMG hair – skin – it’s almost like they’re living creatures1 we can’t have that!

  • http://foodycat.blogspot.co.uk/ Alicia

I’m giving it a YAY but grading on a curve. I don’t love it but SO much better than Dior.

    • RoseJB

My first yea of the season, I think. But you’ve made me wonder if my love of this footwear is influenced by my hatred of all the other options presented so far.

  • http://www.ellenciompi.com/ NurseEllen

YAY!! These are generally very nice. I especially like the ones with the multicolored triangular areas, Photos #3, #5, #7. The boots in photo #3 are the prizewinners for me. Thank you, Valentino, for shoes that look wearable (even though I’ll never be able to afford them).

  • Glam Dixie

Yay, except for the hairy one. *shudder

  • Mary Elizabeth Poytinger Baume

    THE BOOTS ARE LOVELY!

  • oatmealpie

    The antepenultimate ones are lovely.

    • ampg

      +10 vocab points.

  • KateShouldBeWorking

Not a cohesive collection but I’m feeling these!

  • http://ayearofmommyhood.blogspot.com/ Tabby_abby

Yea! I want all of them including the hairy ones. They are cheeky.

  • Nancer

Some of these are really fabulous! Especially that last bootie – gorgeous!

    • decormaven

Yes, I love that last bootie. Very Mod influence- which I love.

      • Nancer

I totally agree with you. Finally, a shoe/boot collection that is actually wearable! Some of the collections this year have been absolutely crazy!

  • Tanya Wade

I love the Mondrian Studded Boot, or whatever we are calling it. Finally, a shoe collection that doesn’t make me want to go all Hannibal Lecter on the designer.

  • NDC_IPCentral

Not walkable, to my way of thinking. I think that foot models are like hand models – people with very particular bone and skin structure that photographs well and fits into the goods. Many of the feet here look pretty unhappy.

    • kimmeister

I don’t think these are foot models, I think they are runway models and we’re just getting a closeup of what they had on their feet.

  • MilaXX

Big YEA to this entire collection! Love every pair!

    • Evan

      Even the hairy ones? lol

      • MilaXX

LOL yes I like a good pony hair shoe.

  • sagecreek

I like these! Although if you cannot wear ankle straps, you’re kind of screwed.

    • kimmeister

At least the ankle straps sit a little lower than where we’ve been seeing them lately.

  • alyce1213

    A whole lotta YES!

  • hughman

They are refreshingly aggressive for a woman’s shoe collection.

  • barbarienne

Yea! Those colorblock ones are going to be entertaining to watch stars/stylists try to match with outfits. Gonna be a lot of misses, but the hits are going to rock.

    • KinoEye

I love the boots. They’d be tricky to pair, but I bet someone can rock them. I think it would work with a simple dress/skinny jean and blouse combo. The more minimal on top, the better.

      • kimmeister

Yeah, “at least they don’t destroy your feet or maim others” isn’t a glowing review.

        • KinoEye

Haha, well, I did type a comment to the effect of “At least they aren’t fugly and painful” downthread. So it still works!

  • KinoEye

They aren’t laughably hideous. Big ol’ YEA from me. Those red boots with the braided leather at the top have, once again, stolen my heart.

  • ThaliaMenninger

Yes to all of them. They actually look like shoes and like someone could walk in them.

  • stellamaris73

    One of each, please.

  • Danielle

A YAY for those color-blocked boots alone.

  • teensmom99

I say yay & Meghan Draper says yay, too.

  • ovarB

    J’adore!!! Oui!! Oui!!!

  • Laurieandclaire

I am so sick of looking at the Dior and Prada, I say YAY!!! A THOUSAND times YAY!!!!

  • kimmeister

    YEA, with caveats:
    - I wish there were more diversity in shape
    - I don’t actually like the shape of the boots, since most legs aren’t shaped like cylinders
    - The heels are cute, but only for skinny, long legs.

    • Lori

ITA. It’s a Yea, but with serious reservations. If the other collections we’ve been looking at were less awful I might have assessed this one more harshly (because those boots aren’t good), but after the WTF? parade these are looking fine.

      • conniemd

This is exactly my position. It’s only a comparative yea.

    • Isabel

Nay, it looks like the pumps are painful to wear. All the models have some skin discoloration where the shoe meets skin.

      Boots – hate the patterns.

  • mjude

YEA…the patch work boot reminds me of a suede coat I had back in the day.

  • Constant Reader

After all the craptastic shoes I’ve seen lately, I was afraid to look. But I was pleasantly surprised. I love a Mary Jane shoe; a beaded Mary Jane shoe is even better. I also like the dotted shoes and booties (first and last). I’m meh on the tall boots.

  • luludexter

the 70s called – they want their shoes back…

  • rissa42210

Yea – some of the better shoes this round, but not in love.

  • Sharon Weiner

Cute! Should translate well into the general population!

  • LipstickForPigs

    YES PLEASE

  • Judy_J

Cute and wearable. I like ‘em.

  • Amel

YEA! The fur one is a little weird, but these are adorable

  • PastryGoddess

Me likey and they’ll look great with tights

  • Jaeda Laurez

I love those booties! Not a huge fan of the knee boots, but I definitely like the ankle strap shoes. Such a breath of fresh air compared to the ugly Diors from yesterday.

  • ChiKat67

So for fall the choice is either to have 3/4 of your foot exposed or to be covered to the knee?

  • http://batman-news.com boweryboy

The designers are trolling us. That’s the only explanation I can come up with.

  • DKBB

Like ‘em all, but LOVE that last pair!

  • marlie

I’ll take one of almost everything! YEA!

  • AEditor

    Yes, yes, yes!

  • jilly_d

I know the heels are a bit high for younger ladies, but that does not stop me from desperately pining to see Kiernan Shipka take some of these babies for a spin.

  • http://www.youtube.com/user/TheOctocornNetwork International Model

Yay. Patchwork boots have a special place in my heart where my actual heart should be.

  • aquamarine17

yeah. love the boots and shoes with the chevron pattern with patches of 6 colors and little studs. i especially like the boots and would buy them.

  • Imasewsure

The heels are way too high for me but I think they are all fantastic. Those boots and booties are Laurie Partridge groovy!!

  • Trickytrisha

Mostly very nice, but is that second to last one fur? I mean, fur?!

    • Gatto Nero

“Pony hair” (calf hair). They just leave the hair on the pelt instead of removing it.

      • Trickytrisha

I guess I prefer my leather without any reminder of where it comes from. Hypocritical, I know.

        • kimmeister

That’s like me and my purchase of only boneless, skinless meat.

  • LaSylphide

Yea, mainly because they aren’t an insult to feet. Some cute and all wearable.

  • BlairBear

the boots make models looks stumpy so thats not good, some of the shoes arent bad so that is a nay for me

  • Tracy_Flick

Ooooh sequins! And spring green! I say Yay just for that pair alone.

  • ModernDowager

    Beautiful. Nice lines.

  • GoAwayKardash

*drool* yes yes yes yes yes yes yesssssssss

  • http://twitter.com/#!/Space_Kitty Space Kitty

Not loving any of the boots but the shoes are fun.

  • SouthernGirlRena

See Dior and Miu Miu, you can make shoes that are both interesting and not hideous. Mostly.

  • Lower L

I’m a sucker for an ankle strap, so I vote “yea” (and also yay!) on those. I agree with the nobody-has-cylindrical-calves criticism of the boots.

  • Aurora Leigh

Yay for BOOTS! (especially those navy ones, which can come live at my house now)

  • Skippymom1

Finally! Shoes to adore. These are fun. Loving the black and red patent leather boots. Yummy.

  • crash1212

Don’t love any of the shoes as I am allergic to ankle straps – however – would kill for any of the boots – although I’m not crazy in love with the heel. So – sort of a YA-NA?

  • VioletFem

Yay! I love how colorful these shoes are, especially the beaded ones. Although, I don’t care for the boots in this collection.

  • Nicole

    Yay

  • BLauD

After all the shoes we’ve seen on here lately, I’m glad to finally see some that can get a YAY from me.

  • a_liking

    those last booties are delicious.

  • hellkell

They’re fucking with us, right? NAY.

  • TLJezebel

    Mine.

  • lesmaha

    Love!!!

  • PumpkintheCat

Yes to everything except the merkin shoes.

  • conniemd

Yea. This is a comparison vote to all the hideous collections we’ve seen. I didn’t gag or feel sorry for the feet wearing them. But overall, kinda meh, nothing that grabbed me, particularly all the skinny ankle straps which seem inappropriate for fall shoes.

  • majorbedhead

    YAY! Normal shoes! Huzzah!

  • Pennymac

I was dreading the scroll on this one; this seasons shoes have been so bad. These are amazingly “okay”

  • shopgirl716

    Yes!

  • http://phantomminuet.blogspot.com/ MinAgain

    J’adore those patchwork boots.

  • Sara__B

Mostly yea. I like the thicker heels that aren’t forcing the foot into full ballet demi-point. The beaded shoes and the blocked studded patterns are especially nice.

  • Renaissance_Man_ATL

    LOVE!

  • formerlyAnon

Hey! Cute shoes! I didn’t think they were doing that this year.

  • CeeQ

YAY! I want pretty much every single pair. What is that style of pump called? it’s my favorite =D

  • Emmyllou

    Mostly nay.

  • somebody blonde

    Yay! So fab.

  • Dagney

    Yes.

  • kerryev

I wear boots to fake better ankles, so lukewarm on those. Boiling-over batshit crazy for all the rest.

  • willworktomorrow

    HELL YEA!!

  • FridaStaire

    Yep, I could wear these.

  • LambeeBaby

Boots get a lowercase yea but the shoes are all YEA!

  • sienna elm

Hey Look! Shoes that look like shoes! I love most of the colours (still aching for that first pair of boots!). But the furry ones are ridic. Can you imagine what a disaster they’d be in one light rain? Yuck!

  • lynnlee

    Pretty!

  • Lisa M. (ReVoir) Kramp

WIth the exception of the ass hair (I assume that’s Donkey fur by the striping), these are a big yea!! Fun, flirty and most look sturdy enough for a real human to walk in.

  • lalahartma

    Yeah, but not for me.

  • StarburstLady

I don’t really like the shape– it’s neither fierce nor grateful. I do like the boots, though.

  • allisankelly

    all YAY’s over here.

  • Beardslee

I want those last pair of boots! These are so nice on the whole, though the hair one is a bit alarming. I just wish the heels were a couple inches shorter so I and other mortals could wear them… not that I could ever afford to wear them, so why am I quibbling?

  • MartyBellerMask

I was going to say, “Bonus points for looking like shoes,” but that really doesn’t warrant a bonus. They do look like shoes. Normal shoes with interesting elements. Some are fugly and some are really pretty. Gets a “sure, why not” from me.

  • VicD

Yes, yes, and a whole lot of yes.

  • Mary Stone

THAT, children, is how you do shoes. Dior should take notes…I’m seeing 80′s in the shapes and color palette

  • dea

Shoegasm! Love the use of color and texture.

  • Lily

Yay all over the place. So much yay I may be bloated with it for days. Love the colors, love the heels, love the “don’t squeeze my toes into a deformed clod of flesh” toe boxes. Classy and kicky at the same time. I especially love the red and coral on black polkas. BRAVO!

  • Kelly

Yay, yay, yay. Love these. Ankle straps. Wearable-width heels. Toe-boxes that don’t double as torture devices. Lots of interesting visual touches. That one red one (is that crocodile skin or something? Some animal, anyway) looks too skimpy, but I don’t know if it’s the design or just the fact that the shoe seems too small for that particular model. Otherwise, I’m there.

  • judybrowni

Wow, actual shoes and boots a person might want to wear!

Instead of the insane craft projects poured out by other couture designers recently.

  • Linda LaPaz

    Yeah!

  • http://karenzgoda.org/ Karen Zgoda

These shoes are pretty, but all I see are feet that say OUCH.

  • http://tvblogster.blogspot.com Boop

Yay! I need to be alone in the bedroom with these shoes and boots.

  • DominoEstella

most definitely Yea! I love these.

  • http://vhanna26.typepad.com Vera

    Yea!

  • Aurumgirl

I love every single pair. It’s like this collection was made for me!

  • Sophie

Nay on the boots and the furry shoe, but I rather like the rest. I like seeing shoes that fit, as well, instead of the usual “too big” trend on the red carpet.

  • OffToSeeHim

I love the colorblocked ones. And the glittery ones. I like the boots! The furry ones look weird. Is it me, or are the shapes kind of boring in a been-there-done-that kind of way?

  • Miranda Reseigh

    Everything but the hair shoes.

  • Notasaltine

    Yea! A million times yea.

  • altissima

Love the knee highs and the booties. The stubby rounded toes look a bit dowdy though.

  • Sara Brams-Miller

    Kinda love these actually . . .
