So ankle boots are no longer a thing? *cries* What the fuck are those trainers boots, I can’t. I like the Valentino though.

    • leahpapa

Please don’t make me look at these. I’ve only just glimpsed the possibility that this winter may end at some point, and the very idea of boots just activates my HPA axis.

      • LipstickForPigs

Right? I’m from MN and we have at least 30 days of freezing weather to endure until actual spring arrives. Today was 25 degrees. I was so thrilled I had my sunroof open. (Thank heavens for heated seats…)

        • GinaGeo

The crossing guards are busting out the capris here today. Much to my distaste, I should add. Ah, MN in spring.

          • LipstickForPigs

I would like to set fire to each and every pair of capri pants I see.

        • FrigidDiva

It’s 50 in ND today. I left my coat at home and actually wore my flats sans socks. The only sad part is you KNOW we’re going to get at least one more blizzard either at the end of March or April before we can officially consider it spring up here.

    • Ginger

I just love these (for the most part). Those Ohne Titel boots desperately need to find their way to my closet…stat.

    • CB

I have a burning hatred of peep-toe boots (cough Herve Leger). They make absolutely no sense from a weather perspective–if it’s warm enough for your toes to be out, why the hell are you wearing knee- or thigh-high leather boots? I guess the heel-less Donna Karans fall into this category too.

    • Sarah

Oh god. I must be a boot lovin’ weirdo because I adore pretty much all of these. EXCEPT: Sneaker boot, Red boot w/bow, and WTF Shearling sandal/boot hybrid.

      • VicD

I am DOWN wit’ the Huggie Bears!

    • Garcia Loca

      WTF, Louis Vuitton?

      • alyce1213

        Incomprehensible.

    • lbl

The Valentino’s are a “hell yes!”

    • http://foodycat.blogspot.co.uk/ Alicia

Sophia Webster I am watching you with great suspicion.

      • Sarah

Sophia Webster should apologize for those heinous rainbow rickrack shearling monstrosities. They’re like Alaskan Stripper Legs on Acid. *Shudder*

        • marlie

          GAWD I hate those.

      • tereliz

The McQueens are my absolute faves, followed closely by the snakeskin Guccis.

    • Imasewsure

Hell to the NAY from this BK… love boots but not these

      • 3boysful

Me, too, except for the Fendis.

    • snarkmeister

Sophia Webster ones look like Hansel & Gretel’s creepy gingerbread house on crack. Like crack-gerbread house boots. Honestly, there is much fug here. Only a few that I luuuurve (trashy red lace up Valentino FMB’s – come to me, darling).

    • KinoEye

I’m a boot fetishist, but very few of these appeal to be. The oxblood St. Laurent are gorgeous though, and I almost like the turquoise thigh-highs from Lucas Nascimento.

A hearty NAY to peeptoe boots.

      • http://foodycat.blogspot.co.uk/ Alicia

I feel like these are not the best boots we saw at the recent fashion weeks. I am going to have to have another look back.

        • http://foodycat.blogspot.co.uk/ Alicia

Yes – the Prada glitter boots, those Valentino’s with the braid but in black, some of the Dolce & Gabbana and some of the Anna Sui were all things I thoroughly coveted.

    • mjude

as the polar vortex leaves the system (crossing fingers) I am done with boots….for now.

    • ballerinawithagun

So many that I’m lusting for….heart palpitations.

    • jw_ny

Yea to boots in general, but many of these are a big ol Nay! XD I do like the Valentino’s at the top quite a bit though.

my favorite of the Nays are the Marc Jacobs brown furry boots. I’m guessing Miley will be drooling over those. ;P

Also…boots that look like shoes with leather socks (Louis Vuitton)…um…why?

white boots always read NFL Cheerleader to me, and many of the ones with cutouts just read stripper.

      • alyce1213

The shearling boots with cut outs and a peep toe made me laugh hard. The other ugly ones just made me angry.

    • Myra Amler

Some of the white boots are giving off a majorette vibe. Nay to those, but I love the Valentino.

    • Linda Swiontek

That Donna Karan without the heel is ridiculous!

      • alyce1213

Because doesn’t every woman want to wear high boots that expose her winter-worn, hardest-to-maintain body part — heels?

        • FrigidDiva

I’ve been trying to rehabilitate my heels of late in preperation for sandal weather. I almost cringed.

    • hughman

“Excuse me, do you have any boots in just black?”

      • Sarah

Now now, Mr. Leger made them in black with convenient toe ventilation.

    • crash1212

I hated the toe-less boots and now one of these geniuses is cutting the heels out of boots? Fashion victim.

    • Laura Poehlman

I’m always going to vote for knee-high boots.

    • sugarkane105

Oo, those green Daks are my favorite by far.

    • schadenfreudelicious

My snowbound corner of Canada leaves me about 3 months of the year where some type of boot is not required…(if its not a winter boot, its a rain boot)..so most of these are totally ridiculous for anyone who actually needs a boot to keep our feet under some semblance of cover…toeless/heel-less/fuzzy numbers are never going to work…it’s nice to be able to wear a fashionable boot and some of these would work…most, not so much alas..

    • sugarkane105

The Louis Vuittons – are those loafers with leather knee-highs inside? That’s just lazy.

    • Mothra

I would patent leather my cat in black and white if I thought I could get away with it. Love those boots.

    • Trickytrisha

At least most of these aren’t as cray-cray (yeah, I hate that phrase too) as the shoes we’ve been seeing lately. Love the green Gaultier and Daks. But lets face it, few of these are actually meant for stepping outside in any kind of winter weather.

    • http://batman-news.com boweryboy

NAY. That’s a whole lotta ugly going on. That seems to be the theme for the 2014-15 fall/winter collections.

    • DominoEstella

I’m in love with those Valentino boots.

    • Heather

I really like the Valentino, the Anna Sui, and the Daks. The Versace ones are fun. Most of the others I am un-offended by, except the Donna Karen ones with the cutout on the heel, those had potential to be beautiful, but why the cutout? Seriously, why?

    • Mikki Anderson

The shoe boot, peep toe and Sweet Baby Jesus please help me the peep heel should be burned! Must have the Chanel!

    • BendinIntheWind

I’ll take one each of the Green DAKS and the Red Valentino – everything else is HIDEOUSSSSSSSSSSSS

    • Tracy_Flick

The Phillip Lim is OK. The rest I wouldn’t wear if they were free. Those Sophia Webster ones are criminal.

    • ampg

Under the tutelage of Messrs. T and Lo, I feel comfortable issuing the following decrees disguised as opinions:
      - Boots that expose any part of the foot are stupid and pointless.
      - Boots that expose part of the leg via cutouts look stripper-ish.
      - Boots that are basically shoes with a piece of leather wrapped around the calf are ugly AND clearly miss the point of designing boots.

      That is all.

    • tallgirl1204

Patterned boots in fun colors– yay! No more ankle boots… grrrr.

    • LeelaST

If it’s a boot let it be a boot, not something tricky like a bare heel (Donna Karan) or a shoe with extra fabric attached (Louis Vuitton).

    • majorbedhead

I would not cry if those green Daks found their way into my closet. Those are gorgeous.

    • Jenmac

The 3.1 Phillip Lim’s are giving me flashbacks to high school majorette-dom.

    • ShaoLinKitten

I want the Saint Laurent ones. I have a thing for horizontal black and white stripes.

    • alyce1213

Yes to both Valentinos and Tom Ford.

    • VicD

Valentino patchwork boots and red boots, GET IN MY CLOSET. Gucci snakeskin boots, OK, you can come too. I’ll take the ’70′s retro Anna Sui boots too. Most of rest of these, including peep toes, peep heels (why in the HELL a peep heel!?!), open laces, sneaker boots (snoots?) and bizarre sheepskin-patchwork-open front boots ….please go away.

    • NMMagpie

Those black suede Chanel boots are clearly heading for my closet.

    • SophieCollier

Yea to the Versace boots. Not really a fan of the rest.

    • yethica

I like the Alexander Wangs. And the last pair of Valentinos. And the one pair of Fendis. The rest: WTF.

      • marlie

I’ll take the red Valentinos… You’re not allowed to wear heels. :P

        • yethica

Only while I’m recovering for busting my ass!! IT WON’T LAST FOREVER!! *sobs*

    • another_laura

I have serious issues with the Kirchhoff, Chanels, Leger, Karan and the Sophia Webster (the hell with shearling-looking velcro fastenings and an open toe?). A lot of the rest are really cute or attractive, especially the Valentinos, the Fendi.

    • somebody blonde

      Yea for most of these.

    • Jean Beaton Leavitt

I love the lace up sneakah boots. I have a pair almost like them made by Chaco who knew outdoor wear would be first.

    • Anna

      -Yea to the first Valentino.
-Even J-Lo circa her Timberland Manolo Blahniks phase would say Fuck Nay to those peeptoe shearling Sophia Websters.
-Mildy intrigued by the runner-boots hybrid as I am doubtful the fresh 20 cm of snow we got today will have melted in time for my St. Paddy’s 10K on Sunday

    • ShaoLinKitten

Why this dried blood color? Why not the fire engine red of the classic Flash? I agree with your assessment. This is drab as hell.

      • http://gabyrippling.tumblr.com/ Gaby

Haha sweetie I think you’re in the wrong post.

        • ShaoLinKitten

          OMG YEP SORRY. Gonna delete.

    • marlie

I really like the Valentinos at the top of the page and the red ones at the bottom. The Louis Vuittons that look like shoes and knee highs are annoying. The Alexander Wangs in the second row are hiddy. Most of the other shoes here are range from boring/standard to aggressively ugly.

    • http://gabyrippling.tumblr.com/ Gaby

YES YES ALL OF THEM except for the Sophia Webster those things are butt ugly BUT TELEPORT THE REST INTO MY CLOSET.
Sorry, I really love boots, especially chunky heeled and flat boots, and there are so many here.

    • Judy_J

      I. …WANT…THE…VALENTINOS. I’m drooling over them now.

    • Swiftlytiltingplanet

Donna Karan has a peep heel?! What the what? Granted, I’ve never gotten the whole peep-toe boot thing (especially in full-length boots – I’ve given it an occasional “Ok, that’s cute” in booties) since it seems to defeat the purpose of boots. But a peep heel seems like a whole new level of what-the-fuckery.

    • Susan Velazquez

I love the Valentinos. The white Marc Jacobs remind me of go go boots and it makes me want to buy a miniskirt. The Sophia Websters are fug.

    • http://armchairauthor.wordpress.com/ LesYeuxHiboux

I’m seeing an awful lot of cankle-creators.

    • DKBB

I say Yea, except for those open heel boots…those are just weird….

    • GeoDiva

These boots are not for winter.

    • http://reneshiro.tumblr.com/ kingderella

My inner Drag Queen/Dominatrix really wants some of those ^^

    • Pennymac

60% nay, 40% yay. And peep heels? weird.

    • MannahattaMamma

I’m still stuck on the glitter shoes. nothing else will do. Am contemplating buying a huge bucket of glitter & just dipping in a pair of Mary Janes.

    • Beardslee

I love so many of these and am heartened to see that heels are getting a bit lower. Those Sophia Webster furry velcro peep toes are hilariously ugly.

    • Emily

I don’t understand the Donna Karen, leaving the heel out is just ugly. Also, is it 1967 again? I like the Versace though.

    • OffToSeeHim

Hate anything with shoelaces, and a big “the fuck?!” to anything with a shoe at the bottom. Love the ones you led with though! Valentino? Shit, they know how to do a boot over there!

    • GinaGeo

The patchwork Valentinos, the green Daks, the oxblood Valentinos…I’ll take all three. And wear them with Gucci’s Fall 2014 collection.

    • MoreShoes

Some of them are gorgeous! Some are on crack. Either the boots, or their designers.

    • miscorrections

Etro, Fendi, and the red Valentinos, please.

    • http://www.lippsisters.com/ Deborah Lipp

Yea the first Valentino and the last Versace.

Nay to anything with exposed flesh (Donna Karan, Hervé Leger, et al).

Nay to boots that look like shoes (Gucci, Vutton, et al)…what’s THAT about?

    • http://www.bertkeeter.com Bert Keeter

      LUV the 1st, VALENTINO!

    • peachy

i’ll one of each in size 9 please. where do i fill in my shipping address?

    • Lisa M. (ReVoir) Kramp

The Red Valentinos, the Green Daks, the Metallic Fendis and The Alexander McQueens in 9.5, please.

    • formerlyAnon

Yea (non-ankle boots, almost always Yea), but only for about half of these. If that.

And sadly, virtually none of these are for me at my current stage of life and decrepitude. Maybe the flat metallic Fendis

Even if I were 20-something and had the money to buy a new, so-memorable-it’s-not-a-basic boot every year, there’s a lot of ugh. The flat metallic Fendis are my favorites. I’ve aged out of the lace up athletic shoe ones, but I like ‘em. Like the Marc Jacobs, Donna Karan, Kirchoff and several more to a lesser extent. NO to open toe or heel boots, to faux knee socks boots, and boots that seem to grow out of unattractive square toed low-heeled loafers.

    • Lilyana_F

I’d like the Fendis in every color, please. And Chanel, seriously… this is not ok.

    • KT

Crazy and I love it!! The black versace boots are probably my favorite, and I’m digging the Alexander Wang ones as well. The Emilio Pucci take on cowboy boots is pretty fun, gotta say.

The Meadham Kirchhoff, Marc Jacobs and Sophia Webster boots all tie for making me want to light my eyes on fire.

    • RuthGo

I’m living for those Valentinos at the top of the post.
