Posted on March 27, 2014

Well! Someone certainly feels yummy at the moment.

In a less charitable mood, we might call that expression “smug,” but there’s nothing wrong with feeling fabulous and working your sidewalk strut; especially when you’re as put together as Miss Miranda is at the mo. Sure, it’s theatre. We truly doubt she just happened to be sashaying down the street looking like this. But who cares? She looks great and she’s paying the bills.

    • hughman

I seriously thought this was a pic of her on set for “Rich Bitch Diva Vipers of NYC”.

      • SRQkitten

How would that differ from the RHONYC?

        • hughman

          Lifetime®.

          • SRQkitten

            LOL! Of course!

          • Introspective

            yaaaaaaasssss

        • demidaemon

She actually has a real job?

    • MilaXX

BE ME! and I ain’t mad at her. She looks good.

    • Nancer

Adorable! Wish I could look as put together!

    • http://www.beautifymylifeblog.com Jessica

Ugh, that hair. What I would do for that hair.

      • 3boysful

        I know–she looks like a shampoo ad.

    • mjude

I quite like the entire look.

    • crash1212

Excellent displaying of the wares. This is a great outfit.

    • KinoEye

Gorgeous. I know they broke up months ago, but she is clearly WINNING the post-breakup walkabout. And if I looked like her and had access to her wardrobe, you best believe I’d sashay down the street every day.

      • decormaven

That’s mostly definitely a sashay! You work it, child.

    • Jackie4g

Hooray! The print of the bodice and skirt is matched! Somebody gave a damn.

    • Janet B

I know she’s going somewhere fabulous. If I can’t be her, can I tag along?

    • Evan

Pairing those shoes with that dress is some PHD level shit.

      • Sarah

I’m on the fence about ‘em. I think they make the outfit edgier than a floral sheath alone would be, but I’m not sure if I like what they look like. I guess I’m glad they’re not nude or naked…

        • Evan

I like that they don’t match, but the shoes and dress work together rather than fighting. Usually I don’t like contrasting patterns because I think they make things too busy, but I think this works.

          • Gatto Nero

Sometimes it’s all about the scale of the patterns.
            This works.

            • http://armchairauthor.wordpress.com/ LesYeuxHiboux

              Heh, “scale.”

            • Gatto Nero

Oh! I was wondering why you thought “scale” was funny …

    • http://redheadedwolf.wordpress.com/ Laura Renee

I am certainly not going to complain about the addition of beautiful, well-dressed people on the streets.

      • decormaven

I will loudly proclaim “Huzzah” and trumpet such apperances.

        • Kitten Mittons

I swear on my favorite pair of shoes that if you do that to the next well-dressed person you see on the street, I’ll send you a present.

          Qualifiers:
          1. You must scream “Huzzah” right in their face.
          2. You MUST have some sort of trumpet to blow at them.
          3. You can’t say anything else, just run away.

You’ll also be my personal hero. No big deal.

          • SierraDelta

Should we start a collection for decormaven’s legal defense? ;-)

            • Kitten Mittons

              That was the present.

          • decormaven

I think we’re safe here, because there isn’t a wealth of beautiful, well-dressed people in my direct sphere. I don’t have a horn; maybe I can get one of those tiny harmonicas on a chain to wear around my neck. I’m fine with giving a “huzzah” anytime.

            • marlie

Does a bicycle horn count? I’ll contribute that.

            • Kitten Mittons

The more ridiculous the instrument, the better.

            • Heatherbelle

              Vuvuzela!

            • marlie

              YES.

ETA: I’d pay good money to see this all happen.

            • Kitten Mittons

I had to Google, but that will do nicely. Job well done.

            • SierraDelta

              Brilliant!

            • http://foodycat.blogspot.co.uk/ Alicia

              Kazoos all around.

            • Kitten Mittons

I’m just spit balling here, but could we make a hybrid? Kavoovoozela? Isn’t the World Cup this year? We can make a killing.

            • http://foodycat.blogspot.co.uk/ Alicia

This time next year, Rodders, we’ll be millionaires*

              *very specifically British reference!

            • Kitten Mittons

Y’all are making me google all over the place today. Thanks for that!

    • LilyVanessi

      Simply stunning.

    • Kitten Mittons

      This is just delightful.

    • @Biting Panda

      She’s working the Witherspoon.

      • SierraDelta

“Working the Witherspoon” should be a new TLo category, I’m thinkin’.

        • @Biting Panda

          Witherspooning?

          • HomeOfficeGirl

Reece WISHES she was at this level. Nay…
Mirand-er-ing is non-stop, easy breezyz, Be Me AND Do Me.

            • Sophie

And it doesn’t take place in parking lots.

      • Clash D

Even Reese can’t do the Witherspoon consistently. I still can’t deal with the hat and straw hair from her most recent outing.

    • Sarah

Yay for silver jewelries. It’s my metal of choice. She looks like a breath of fresh air, and that’s pretty good for a black coated & bagged ensemble.

      • Imasewsure

Darling… I’m sure it’s platinum… but I agree about silver. definitely my fav

        • Sarah

I know it. I should have said “silver toned” because as soon as I typed it I was all “That is at the very least WG if not platinum.” Sigh. I am going to get all my silver replaced with platinum, next chance I get. You know, with my vast fortune and host of jewelers at my disposal.

          • Imasewsure

Darling I will have my personal jeweler call your personal jeweler… if I can just find my cracked hand-me-down Iphone 3 to make that call…. :)

            • Sarah

I will answer you on my late-for-the-flashmob 3G pay-as-you-go Android.

            • SierraDelta

It’s raining and snowing here in the Upper Midwest Center for Putrid Weather, and you two just made me smile!

          • Fordzo a.k.a. Fancy Mukluks

I have a can of spray paint. Just sayin’.

    • mlle

That’s a fabulous dress, but all I can think is “she must be so cold.”

    • alyce1213

She’s pretty and she looks great in clothes, but there’s something about her that annoys me, always has.
Smug and attention grabbing, a bit insidious.

    • http://batman-news.com boweryboy

She working that lens like it’s paying her bills.

      • @Biting Panda

Dearest. That’s what rich men are for. Her earnings shan’t go to things as common as bills.

    • Gatto Nero

I always wonder in what universe a person goes for a casual stroll in 5-inch heels. But I guess these people are made of different stuff.
      Working that Birkin like mad.

      • YousmelllikeAnnaWintour

“Working that Birkin”. I like the title. What’s the movie about? :)

        • Gatto Nero

It’s a song by TLo and the BKs.

          • http://batman-news.com boweryboy

With the sleeper hit B-side, “Gurl (That’s Not Your Dress)”.

    • bhl_1123

I think this is the epitome of Everyone Wants to BE Me.

    • Glam Dixie

I had that dress in the very late 80’s maybe early 90’s except the background was dark blue and mine had a kick pleat and also it was probably 1/15 the price of this one. She looks very spring time in NY.

      • KCF

Except that it’s not springtime weather in NYC yet. Believe me it’s COLD here the last few days and now. As good as she looks, the “theater” part of this irks me. I mean from the street and not the camera, she would look ridiculous in this outfit in this weather.

    • B_C_J

Pretty dress & accessorized perfectly. However it feels very safe & predictable.

    • http://foodycat.blogspot.co.uk/ Alicia

The fact that they managed to match the pattern on this one makes the lack of pattern matching on Kiernan Shipka’s even more egregious.

      • SierraDelta

Pattern matching was the first thing I checked for, too! (My mother was a sewing teacher, and I regularly had to bring my finished garments to her inside out for her eagle-eyed inspection.)

      • marlie

The non-matching pattern on Kiernan’s didn’t bother me because it was clearly intentional. And I thought the outfit was still balanced. But for this look, where she’s supposed to be long and lean, the matching pattern is perfect because it highlights her figure.

    • Imasewsure

So funny I stepped out of my fabulous apartment door this morning in the exact same outfit!! Oh wait, I didn’t… you go Goddess Girl!!

    • Qitkat

This is the way to deploy black in a spring dress. Love!

      • Suzanne Johnson

On my monitor, the background of the dress looks like a dark green. Odd.

        Still pretty, though.

        • Qitkat

Ya know, you may possibly be right. It is a close call, without seeing the sales page.

    • Mothra

Was she going somewhere or was that a magazine shoot?

    • Jacob Bowen

Girl, I understand that it’s CLEARLY a set-up photo op…but the open jacket and knee length dress with no tights is killing me, ESPECIALLY since you’re in NYC. This must be a VERY short walk, otherwise you’re FREEZING.

    • V No Privacy

Oh my god it is FAR too cold in NYC right now for that outfit. She looks amazing but girl must be freezing!!

    • JP

I think that’s the “Eat your heart out, elf-boy” look.

    • d4divine

She’s so cute…she has a gorgeous baby face…I can’t with those cheeks! Oh, and that outfit is chic as hell.

      • marlie

THAT’s what bugs me about her… she rose to prominence as a Victoria’s Secret model, but I could never quite get on board with the baby-faced model as the “face” of a lingerie brand.

        • d4divine

          I can see that…there’s something about her though…ya kinda can’t stop looking at her baby/girl/woman it’s fascinating….

    • msdamselfly

She sure knows how to do justice to clothes without any self consciousness.

    • http://www.momforless.com/ Crystal

I am so in love with this look. This is a definite BE ME in my book.

    • Kate4queen

She’s just on my irrational celebrity hate list so I can’t appreciate her.

    • butterflysunita

So this looks great. But it’s frickin 30 degrees in NYC right now. No one buys that you just happened to be walking around looking like this and got your photo snapped. No one.

    • marlie

She looks pretty fabulous, even if the whole situation is incredibly contrived. I wouldn’t have picked these shoes, but I’m not mad at her.

    • Elana Bryan

Bitch stole my look!!! I seriously love this…I seriously want this! Too bad the bag alone would cost me a month’s salary or more…:-(

    • http://armchairauthor.wordpress.com/ LesYeuxHiboux

I mean, I’m glad for her that she’s so gorgeous all the damn time and gets to wear incredible clothes but looking at pictures of her makes me a little ragey.

    • Sophie

I love that dress. (And the print matches, unlike Kiernan Shipka’s one.) The coat worn over the shoulders like that looks like it would quickly get very annoying.

    • Denise Rambo

People pay that ridiculous amount of money for a Birkin bag and nobody ever fastens it up. This one is so stuffed with something that it’s all cockeyed. Might as well have just gone with Dooney or Coach.

      • GorgeousThings

I wouldn’t be surprised if she didn’t pay for the bag.

    • Sunraya

I hate that bag – looks she she can hide a dead person in there!

    • Tracy_Flick

If someone would pay me to wear that stuff, I’d quit my job right this second, and probably look twice as smug about it. She looks great. Those shoes are perfect with that dress.

    • KT

I don’t like her face. Like not just now, but at all times. Something about it bothers me.

    • KayEmWhy

She has that look on her face because it’s still cold as hell here in NYC!

    • ankali

Well. I don’t like her necklace, SO THERE. Gorgeous bitch.

    • http://twitter.com/#!/Space_Kitty Space Kitty

Not quite sold on that many rings on one hand, but this is otherwise a fantastic look I’d be happy to steal.

      • marlie

Notice that the only finger without a ring is the wedding ring finger. She’s reminding everyone that she’s available?

    • GorgeousThings

Well, Miranda proves that looking good is the best revenge.

    • Danielle

      DAT BIRKIN

    • lalahartma

Looking great. Maybe a personal best.

    • Kerry McCombs

Her face is like cream cheese. I want to spread it on a bagel.

    • Mia Moreno

She looks beautiful, admirable style sense! Love it when it’s just simple pretty. It’s like, “duh” other lady stars.

    • colorjunky

      Very upper eastside.

    • amaranth16

Damn, I love all these D&G florals.
