The dress is lovely, but that nail polish color is really bugging!
Ehhh… the dress wasn’t anything special on the model, and it DEFinitely doesn’t translate well into pregnancy chic. I think it would be stunning if it were just black/red/white color block with the black lace leaf pattern embroidery, without the leaf pattern in those front two panels.
I do wish pregnant stars would wear maternity clothes. The proportions tend to be better, even with what I assume are alterations to this dress to make sure it hangs evenly.
While I do think you’ve got a valid point, I’m all for the current trends. Some of my maternity clothes back in the day were so hiddy. But no one ever went for the closer belly fitted looks. We might have looked better if we had. I would be a lot braver with my maternity choices these days.
If I were pg today I would wear all the maternity clothes worn by Caitlin Fitzgerald sp? In Masters of Sex.
It was strictly Tent City for me.
Remember Lucy Ricardo’s trapeze top and cigarette pants? If you had tent city, she had the Big Top.
yuk. i loves me some drew, but not when she’s pregnant. i know, i know…. the beauty of pregnant women and all that. but no. she does not wear pregnancy well. and the clothes selected do not help matters at all.
“Does not wear pregnancy well”???? WTF. You’re pregnant! You’re growing a person inside of you! Your body completely reorganizes itself in order to support a growing being in your torso! Who the hell cares if you “wear it well”??!
Yes, Drew should totes hide indoors for nine months on account of her pregnancy “not looking all that great,” according to some. DON’T COME OUT UNTIL THE BABY WEIGHT IS GONE, DREW. According to gossip rags, that should be within six weeks of the birth. GET ON IT ALREADY.
I love you, Madam.
Calm down. Some people look great and others don’t. Drew just levels out the playing field.
I think she usually looks fantastic. Here she looks exhausted, poor thing.
I did not wear pregnancy well either. I was a walking whale and no part of me was not rounded out and blotchy. It’s nice to know some stars are not able to retain their tiny perfectness while gestating. And I can appreciate that in Drew. Of course, she doesn’t tend to do tiny perfection anyhow.
That seam is bothering me. It’s more noticeable on Drew’s pregnant figure and I don’t like where it’s hitting her.
I like the dress but she looks tired – as well she should be. Late pregnancy when you already have a tiny kid at home is hard work.
The backdrop is not helping any.
Drew looks cute. I think the dress is a little too busy, but whatevs; it suits her. Her makeup looks really good, though I can’t sign off on the nailpolish.
How can she still be pregnant? Poor love. She gets a WERQ from me for having lipstick on.
I was just thinking that she must be so ready to have this baby. Drew looks happy with where she is, and that gets a big thumb’s up. Now, go home, put your feet up and relax!
Seriously. The woman must be 13 months pregnant now. Default WERQ for showing up.
lipstick and SHOES!
and for even having a manicure in the first place! the nail color may “bug” but there’s not a chip on them.
The visual effect of that print on Drew’s belly, with the brighter front piece, is pregnant Pregnant PREGNANT.
I love her anyways.
Drew is so frickin’ cute here, and so happy. The fabric pattern strongly reminds me of a dress I had made in American Samoa. And it was not for pregnancy, but just like Drew here, you could see me coming from a mile away.
Some real mom realness. I like the look–yes, it only just does the job and covers her but when your that pregnant, that’s all you want.
That”s a really cute dress, pregnant or not.
Yeah, I love it. It has a 1940s vibe that I can usually wear pretty well, so it’s really appealing to me.
She is glowing.
That one pick looks like she is pulling her hair to the side to show off her pregnancy. And the close up screams “GOD I’M SO TIRED”
She’s upright and put together. Props, miss Drew.
The scale of the print is too big and the print itself isn’t really very attractive either. Add to that the fact that she isn’t looking like she’s feeling it, more like enduring it.
Bless her for even showing up to work.
Kim K wore the sofa, she’s wearing the curtains. Hate her dress, love her glowing face. Bless her heart.
Love the dress, not as big a fan of the strong red lip, and def not signing off on the blue nail polish. I do salute her, however, for putting in the effort.
Bless her little heart, she is about to burst. Girl, go home, put your feet up, crank the AC and eat some ice cream. You deserve it.
Wow that is an awful dress.. kisses to the Drew though for still doing the pole dance
God I actually LOVE pregnant Drew…well, I love non-pregnant Drew also, but it’s so refreshing to see her wearing the same aesthetic that she would wear when not pregnant!
oh Drew…sex may help to induce your labor! You are lovely, but you look sooo ready!
Jesus, somebody get her a bowl of ice cream and help her take her shoes off. I’ve been this pregnant…3 times…it’s not fun, no matter how much you may be smiling.
THis dress is TERRIBLE both on model and on Drew! the print is terrible! the weird embellished flowers are terrible! the colours together are not exactly working either… TERRIBLE!!!!!!
she looks beautiful and glowing (in a good way).
hate the nail color.
the dress? meh.
I can’t fault her choices here. The dress is her usual kooky, not-quite-right style. It fits and allows her to wear the massively supportive bra she needs right now (Lord knows Drew had to learn this lesson the hard way!) The dress looks comfortable and that’s the most important during that final pregnancy count down when a lot of women feel exhausted, swollen, and miserable. All the sympathy!
I’ve always loved Drew Barrymore, but I love her even more because she is a pregnant celebrity who actually looks pregnant all over. She’s no Olivia Wilde, who you can’t tell is pregnant from behind. Love Drew’s beautiful, round, glowing face. The outfit is meh, but who cares.
I don’t really like the dress, but she’s still a beautiful baby mama.
I actually really love this on her. Good job, Drew!
I like the shape and the hint of sparkle, but the colors are sort of dark and dour, I think a sunnier color would suit her better.
That super-awkward black to red transition on the front of the gown needs something of some sort to cover that godawful seam. A bow? A sash? More applique? Don’t care, it is awful placement and alignment.
The dress is too busy and that red lipstick looks weird on her face. Yes, the blue nail polish is strange, too, but I can understand how you run out the door with the polish you have on.
Her face looks like Tory Spelling’s with this lipstick and make-up.Lovely dress, though
I love this! I love that she looks like an actual human. She looks pregnant, she looks thrilled to be pregnant, she’s still putting in the effort with the risky dress and dramatic makeup but no botox, no fillers, no surgery. I’ve always liked her and I think she is maturing gracefully.
I kind of love the way she owns pregnancy. “Yeah, it’s almost a muu-muu. Bow down.”
