Darren Criss and Chord Overstreet on the Set of “Glee”

Posted on March 14, 2014

And now, cute boys singing in the street.

Darren Criss and Chord Overstreet shooting on location for “Glee” at Times Square, New York City.

Darren’s outfit is cute. Love the jacket. Chord’s is … well, bless his heart. When did his hair get so long?

Hey Chord, Thor called and he wants his hair back.

        • H2olovngrl

          I admit it. I lol’d.

    • Laura Renee

Totally unfamiliar with Glee — is his name really Chord Overstreet?

      • MilaXX

      • Danielle

Yep, little brother of one of the members of Hot Chelle Rae.

      • JasmineAM

        Oops never mind.

    • Danielle

God SAKES I hate Chord’s hair.

    • MilaXX

This look odd without context. The hair has been long fir a minute. At first I wondered if it was for a movie role, but it really just appears to be a style choice.

    • GSMSF

I thought he was McAuley Culkin at first. Are they related?

      • Spicytomato1

That’s always my thought when I see him…separated at birth.

    • Janet B

      Very cute.

    • Glam Dixie

Chord’s hair looks so bad and I wish they weren’t bringing him into the NYC storyline. Darren needs about an inch added to those pants. Being tall makes me hate high waters with a passion and those are at a perfect length to make my eye twitch. Love the shoes though.

      • decormaven

The shoes are great, for sure.

    • YoungSally

      Out there — There’s a world outside of Lima…….

“And we won’t come home until we’ve kissed a boy.” :)

    • Jacob Bowen

      I want Daren Criss’ shoes!!!

    • Laylalola

I don’t watch Glee, are these 30something guys supposed to be high schoolers?

      • Kristin McNamara

You have a point. But in their defense, DC is 27 and CO is only 25 ;)
Regardless, not anywhere close to high-school-age….

      • Montavilla

I think at this point, Criss is supposed to be in college, and Overstreet is post-high school. Also, I thought I saw something about him cutting his hair off. Which means either that was wrong, or his hair grows incredibly fast, or this is a flashback and the stylists had to give him extensions.

        • demidaemon

Those are some whack extensions, then.

    • marlie

Talk about a Macaulay Culkin lookalike – Chord Overstreet looks like a long-lost brother. Anyway, I like Darren Criss’ shoes. And… that’ all I got.

      • Imasewsure

I couldn’t figure out who I was seeing in his face… you are so right!

    • Eclectic Mayhem

Are we sure Mr. Overstreet isn’t wearing wig? It’s looking very ‘wiggy’ from here…

      • filmcricket

He is in these shots, but his hair was actually that long for quite a while.

        • Kristin McNamara

Wait what? He has gotten it cut then?

    • filmcricket

As much as I now hate the show with the intensity of a thousand burning suns, I will never say no to a shot of Darren Criss’s tuchis. So thank you for that, Uncles.

    • tallgirl1204

Chord’s character is supposed to be borderline homeless, right– wasn’t his family living in a down-market motel? so his outfit make sense for his character. And I kinda love the scarf. I figure the hair is a character thing too.

    • Damien W

I guess I should hit the piano bars this week — Darren frequents at least one of them and usually brings whoever else is in town with him.

    • formerlyAnon

I prefer Mr. Overstreet’s shoes, but they aren’t “cute,” or even memorable. Mr. Criss’ are both.

    • AmeliaEve

      OMG, OMG, Darren’s saddle shoes!

      • SierraDelta

You would not be enthusiastic about saddle shoes if they’d been part of your school uniform for 12 years. . .

        • AmeliaEve

Actually, they were part of my school uniform, but I am still inexplicably fond of them. Maybe because I can’t tolerate high heels, so I seek out the funky styles of flats. What I will never be able to stomach again is white blouses or blue and green plaid anything.

          • SierraDelta

The senior “privilege” at my high school was to swap out our basic navy blue skirt for plaid — a different but relentlessly gaudy tartan chosen by the nuns each year. My class rebelled and announced that our heartfelt desire was to keep the navy blue wool box pleated skirt that we’d worn for the previous three years. The nuns reluctantly went along with it but could never figure out why we’d turned down the rare opportunity “to put pizzazz” into our white blouse, navy skirt, navy blazer, navy knee socks, and blue and white saddle shoes world.

    • Imasewsure

In real life, they would get punched… but hey in Glee life, everyone loves and enjoys their antics!! And… Nice shoes

    • d4divine

Chord needs to cut his hair…makes his face look way too long.

    • Pterodactyl111

I have seen far too many terrible ponytails on men in real life of late to put with this nonsense. NO PONYTAILS!!

    • Kent Roby

Isn’t it too soon to do another movie version of “Rent”?
