She looks better than most in this collection. I think her eye makeup looks like they forgot to clean up after putting it on

    • marlie

She’s also not wearing anything from the collection, except for the earrings.

      • Kathy_Marlow

That would be why….thanks for catching me on that, it’s been a rough week!

        • marlie

No worries! But it’s rather telling, isn’t it?

          • Kathy_Marlow

Oh totally, she’s the only one that looks good BECAUSE she’s not wearing their clothes

          • YousmelllikeAnnaWintour

I can just hear her now. “Oh, I can pick anything I want to wear from this collection? That’s so…great! Hey I LOVE these earrings!”

          • MartyBellerMask

And the earrings are the ugliest thing she’s got on. Unless you count the eye makeup.

          • cocohall

I thought the earrings were by Swiffer.

          • Rhonda Shore

The dress is part of the tablecloth trend.

      • demidaemon

That is exactly what I was going to post. And, man, does she outshine everyone else at this event? I wonder why. ๐Ÿ˜‰

    • what not

She’s the only one wearing light-colored, springy clothing against the astroturf carpet. Who on earth thought to match heavy, dark fabrics with muddy-colored fake grass? Eco-whatever be damned, the set design is selling Osman much more than H&M.

    • kim bunchalastnames

yeah. those liz-as-cleo eyes? not her thing.

  • Jade Lewis

    Young Liz Taylor.

    • marlie

      I hadn’t noticed it… Cleopatra-era Liz.

      • Kent Roby

Why, yes; she’s even showing her asp. (which, unfortunately, looks Teenage Mutant Turtle to me; probably NOT what Bulgari was going for!).

    • Carleenml

      very Cleopatra, yes.

    • Raspberry2012

I was just coming to post that!

      • 3boysful

        me too

        • joything

me three – rocking Cleopatra Liz in a subtler dreamy way

    • Danielle

      Nailed it!

    • BellaLuv

You are so right…I think she is stunning

    • Kent Roby

With all the side glances, she must be looking for Dick.

  • PastryGoddess

Why is she wearing yesterday’s makeup? The dress is meh, the earrings are fab, the shoes are hiddy, and I CAN’T SEE YOUR FREE BAG CAMILLA

    Kids these days

  • marlie

The more I see it, the more I hate the name of this event. I like her shoes; I sort of love them as a basic neutral to have in my closet. The earrings – noticeably the only thing from the H&M collection – look a little cheap. And the clutch doesn’t “go.” Camilla’s makeup looks OK, but a little too dramatic for the event and for what she’s wearing.

    • Carleenml

“hate the name of this event” – I can’t really read it through without laughing.

    • Anna

LOL, I actually had to scroll up and re-read the captions because I thought this dress WAS from the Conscious collection, as it is similarly upholstery-fabric themed. The curtain-tiebacks posing as earrings actually go quite well with the dress in that sense.

I concur about hating the name of this event.

    • KinoEye

It’s been bugging me in every post, too. “Conscious.” What about it is conscious? It’s certainly not style-conscious… environmentally conscious? Budget-conscious? Is it awake?

      • Lucinda Head

Yes, thank you! “Conscientious Collection” is a mouthful, I grant, but “Conscious Collection” sounds like such a hilariously low bar, like it was designed during a sleep deprivation study.

        • demidaemon

Considering the results, you may not be far off with that theory.

      • understateddiva

        I’m scared. Is it sentient?

    • 3boysful

I don’t like the earrings, either, but I think they might work in another situation.

  • Carleenml

I’m really taking comfort in the fact that based on the last few days, hairstyles are finally starting to shake up a little. Overdue.

  • Sophie

Don’t like the eye make-up and the earrings, the rest is okay. I like the white on her skin tone.

  • MilaXX

This is one of the more successful looks from this event. Still I don’t think I like those earring with that dress and I really dislike her hair and how her eye shadow is applied. LOVE the bag though.

  • barbarienne

“She puts on makeup like graffiti on the walls of the heartland.”

It’s pretty, but so very, very plastic-y. I don’t require a “natural” look, but she’s wearing a mask on the upper half of her face. Doing the wing-thing AND the heavy brows AND the too-smooth forehead…she’s entering the Uncanny Valley for me.

  • She looks pretty, but the dress makes it “Look at this napkin I folded into the shape of Camilla Belle!”

  • decormaven

At first glance, this appears to be made from Granny’s chenille bedspread. I’m not fond of the tricky hemline, and those earrings are bordering on tacky. None of the elements gel here, for me.

  • BlairBear

my first thought was at least it looks expensive and well executed. Then I realized that it was by another designer. So that explains it.

  • Guest

There’s a reason why my mom calls it Hit & Miss.

    • ballerinawithagun

      Love this! I still haven’t purchased any thing from H & M.

  • Kelly

That makeup and outfit/earrings make her look like one of those alien Star Trek babes from the bad old Kirk days. We’re only 2-3 days into this apparent winged eye-makeup trend, and already it’s giving me hives.

  • YousmelllikeAnnaWintour

I think they should have called this the Unconscious Collection.

  • mlle

Tone down the eyes, switch out the earrings for something that call back to the bag, and get rid of that big plastic bracelet on her right wrist. Otherwise, love the shape of her hair with that neckline and, as so many people have noted, it’s telling that she looks much better than the other attendees we’ve seen today because she’s not wearing the H&M line.

  • kimmeister

Her facial expressions look like she’s trying to channel Posh Spice, but failing.

  • stubbornthoughts

    Dinner table napkin.

  • First part of naked shoes that I’ve actually liked.

But girl, WTF is with that hair?

  • Bad earrings. And that eyeshadow looks like she’s ready to sing an aria for the Metropolitan Opera. Otherwise a pretty look.

  • Her eye makeup is somehow menacing. I like the Cleopatra-lyte vibe with the white dress, tassel earrings, makeup, and cobra-head clasp on the bag.

  • KarenFK

I like the bag (what I can see of it) and was thinking that it might be worth checking out next time I am near H&M. A cute, cheap purple bag would be fun. So imagine my disappointment when I scrolled up and saw it was Bulgari. Now that I look more closely it is obviously not H&M quality. Definitely out of my price range in this lifetime!

  • Imasewsure

Only the earrings are truly ugly and of course, those are the only things from the H&M collection itself. My respect for Ms. Belle has been raised. She ignored the memo

  • Stefanie Argudo Mackenzie

Dress is early chenille bedspread, thus the uneven hem.

  • Miss wks

    hey girlie….your hem is crooked…

  • sagecreek

The makeup is a little plasticene, n’est ce pas?

  • French_Swede

If the dress had an even hem, I’d love it.
As it is, it looks like a napkin folded on her.

  • Lisa M. (ReVoir) Kramp

That is some serious Liz Taylor drag face. That said, I like the whole look, stupid hem and all.

    • bitchybitchybitchy

I was definitely getting a Liz Taylor vibe from her face, too. The hem is wonky, but overall I like the dress on Camilla.

      • demidaemon

It’s hard not to, considering the rest of what we’ve seen at this event.

  • SewingSiren

Not terrible, but odd. The whole collection is odd.

  • Garcia Loca

Never seen anything this girl was in (besides a Jonas brother), but damn, she is gorgeous! Even in a duvet cover dress.

  • Liza Ortiz

I like this look, I see this being a hot look for the summer, I don’t like how her hair is parted in the middle

  • mickiemonkey

The sweep of eye make up to mirror the sweep of hem? She is gorgeous but I want to lick my thumb and wipe the corners of her eyes for her.

  • Sunraya

She looks better than 1/2 of the actresses we see on these pages wearing clothes worth thousands of dollars, so I’d say that’s pretty good!

  • A.E. Boredom Queen

The purse and dress are adorable, but I hate the earrings and the shoes.

  • jif

Clearly the result of a dare to show up in public wearing a duvet-based garment and make-up done by a 5-year-old Egyptology fan.

  • Granny panties

I think she looks stunning, a living doll. Not huge on the wierd hem, but I’m sure she has already worn hundreds of this dress with a straight hem.

  • Therese Bohn

This girl should play a 60’s Liz Taylor. Gorgeous.

    • AnneElliot

Young Liz Taylor was my first thought too!! They should have cast her in that biopic instead of Lindsay Lohan.

  • quiltrx

I would have sent her home for misinterpreting the meaning of the challenge. ๐Ÿ˜‰
You know the ones who wore head-to-toe threw the bitch-eyes at her all night.

    • demidaemon

As they rightly should. But she should just shoot back a knowing smirk. Obviously, she was the only one who knew how to play the game. ๐Ÿ˜‰

      • Nancer

Right, she’s probably thinking to herself, “Winner, winner, chicken dinner!” :]

        • demidaemon

I hope that chicken dinner is cooked by four star chefs.

    • Have you seen the collection? Yikes! I don’t blame her for going this route.

  • dschubba

She looks like one of Don Draper’s other women.

  • gefeylich

Tall [?] and tanned and young and lovely – her Brazilian side is really coming out in this outfit. Nicely done.

  • BayTampaBay

Love the dress but I would cut off the “tail” to make an even hem line.

  • MartyBellerMask

OK, so brows are officially back. Which is cool and all, but her eye makeup is all wrong for the heavy brow.

  • Jessica Freeman

Making an asymmetrical hem does not make this dress any more interesting than if it didn’t have one.

  • Ann VerWiebe

That hem really does make the skirt look like a summer tablecloth.

  • I used to wear my hair like that every day in third grade.

  • Unlike Kate Mara, she was smart in her sartorial choice: wear a high end designer dress and accessorize with jewelry from the collection. Everything I’ve seen from this collection is hiddy to the max.

  • Clash D

The fact that she’s wearing Egyptian-inspired earrings makes the makeup a bit much. Otherwise, Liz Taylor-lite looks great.

  • KT

I actually quite like this look for the most part. Great little dress on her, cute purse, and the shoes are decent. I continue to covet her face and skin, but that eye makeup looks stupid, and those earrings are ALL WRONG. Hair’s kind of shitty too.

Girl, your face is beautiful as is — you don’t need to add a bunch of bells and whistles to it.

  • Pretty dress. And I am sure a pretty girl. But the hair, shoes and make-up are conspiring against her.

  • LaSylphide

Cute dress, even with the wonky hem. Earrings are all wrong though. Is it just me or does she look like a young Liz Taylor, especially in the side shots?

    Great hemline.
