This dress has such an odd shape… but she is pulling it off! I like it how it looks on Olga and she is enjoying her red carpet moment. The shoes are kinda meh, and hair is OK, but make up is not that OK… anyway, she looks very nice 🙂

  • I love Girl Group chic.

  • Danielle

She is stunning and making this work in a way that few girls can. I approve.

  • nannypoo

I love the shape of the dress and the way it drapes. The color is too bright and harsh for my taste, but the overall look is beautiful.

  • SewingSiren

Wonderful. I love everything about the dress. Especially the cape like scarf collar. Bold and beautiful.

  • Anna

Cute! Shoes are a bit blah but otherwise serving up Jean Shrimpton with the hair and Twiggy with the dress.

    • ballerinawithagun

You are exactly right, great retro look! Definitely requires groovier shoes to complete the look. I keep thinking a metallic turquoise, strappy, kitten heel.

      • Anna

I’ve been a lifelong fan of those two, can’t hate on a well-deployed ’60s look. I get the idea behind not wanting to get too literal and choosing a more classic shoe, but something metallic would definitely work here.

      • littlemac8

I think that groovier shoe should have a lower heel, kittenish would be dandy!

    • Love the look. Takes me back to my young, skinny days oh so many decades ago.

  • barbaradj

It would be a perfect maternity dress….not to start rumors!

    • Deac82

She chose this dress most likely because she is pregnant. I follow Lena Perminova on Instagram (she’s fabulous!) and she recently posted a pic of each of their baby-bumps together.

    • Deac82

      duplicate post. oops!

  • MilaXX

Very cute. I’d love a more interesting earring but I love the dress.

    • decormaven

So true- an interesting earring would have pushed this toward WERQ worthy status for me.

  • Jessica Freeman

Well it is unfortunate that this looks like a very pretty maternity dress.

  • vitaminC

Love, but a gray or navy blue shoe would have sent it into IN territory.

    • 3boysful

What is it with everyone defaulting to the black pump recently??

  • AC Simons

Love the Audrey Hepburn retro chic of this look. The whole thing really works on the red carpet.

  • jw_ny

The asymmetrical hemline is terribly distracting, and the seam, or lack thereof, at the bust line is confusing. I do like the color, collar, scarf thingy, and pockets…and generally like the overall shape.

    • Kayceed

Agreed – like everything but the fit of the bust and armholes – looks a bit sloppy.

  • Tatiana Luján

    I love this!

  • deelup

Looks like the cover of a sewing manual.

  • MM4321

    Super cute.

  • Stefanie Argudo Mackenzie

    Lovely. Very tres 60’s.

  • venusvelvet

    Gorgeous smile. Dress looks heavy.

  • filmcricket

Looks great in profile. From the front it looks like her head’s on backwards.

  • Let it out

    Updated Balenciaga! Love!

  • HM3

Who is she?? She resembles a twee Bond girl. Very pretty.

    • That’s because she is a twee Bond girl. From the Brosnan era.

      • VioletFem

Actually, she was in a Bond film of the Daniel Craig era.

    • VioletFem

She was the Bond Girl in “Quantum of Solace”

      • HM3

    • kimmeister

She was also in a movie with Tom Cruise recently. Futuristic, can’t remember what it’s called.

    • venusvelvet

She was in Hitman with Timothy Olyphant.

  • MaggieMae

Different shoes, different color, and I’m in. Love the mod retro look.

  • If ever there was a moment to bust out the liquid eyeliner, this would be it.

    • mjude

now I have the song “dancing in the street” in my head & that’s a good thing. love this look!

  • Shawn EH

Giving me a lemoncella flavor of Hepburn, Audrey! Like Rooney Mara but not scary!

    • Cheryl

Yes….perfect. Although I love a scary Rooney Mara, too.

  • Cheryl

I like it. I don’t even mind the pocket usage. Btw, is the duct tape printed on the poster? It looks terrible.

  • sagecreek

I don’t love it, but I do love that it’s different, and taking a bit of a risk…esp in front of that green backdrop 🙂

  • Trickytrisha

60s flashback! She’s got the whole look down pat, except it should be shorter.

    • boweryboy

Shorter and paired with some kitten heels or mules plus a big sparkly grandma brooch.

  • Ashleigh

  • Jacqueline Wessel

The green of that poster really sets off the yellow of the dress. Makes her really stand out. I love it.

  • Jennifer L.

Looks like a Mod-inspired jazz dance costume. She just needs those gogo boot spats that buckle over jazz shoes, a hairsprayed on ponytail that is pulled so tight it gives an instant facelift, and a solid pound of blush and bronzer.

  • PhillyDeb

OK, I am the lone dissenter crying in the wilderness here, but here goes: I do not like any of it. I most hate the highwaisted-looking seam under the bustline, followed closely by the asymmetry, the unusual shape, and the color with her skin tone. I agree with whoever said it looked somewhat sloppy. Sorry to put a damper on things, kittens!

    • charlotte

You are not alone. It looks as if the dress is strangling her.

      • GillianHolroyd

First photo, looked like she had it on backwards.

    • crash1212

You are not alone. She’s been Diored. She and JLaw should find one another and commiserate.

      • Hetha Innis

being “Diored” is absolutely awesome. Thanks for that.

      • porcupie

J-Law has just signed a new three year contract with Dior, apparently. I actually quite like this dress, but I can’t think why she would continue with a brand that does nothing for her.

  • boweryboy

The color is pretty. I like the back. I like the mod feel it’s inspires, but I still hate Raf Simons designs.

  • LeelaST

Not crazy about yellow, but love this retro look except for the extra drapey panel in the front.

  • marlie

I want to like this, but there’s something off about the fit/shape. It’s a great color, though.

    • Imasewsure

Yes the Hepburn-esqueness of this look is great but I don’t like the way the top hits so high on her torso and either she is leaning way back in all of these shots, or there is something not quite right about the way it hangs as well. Cute but not perfect.

      • I think the high empire line and then high neckline make it look like the scarf/cape is weighing it down in the back.

  • melanie0866

That is adorable and I love it.

  • Gatto Nero

    Is yellow the thing, suddenly?

  • HeatherMcIlrath

she has an effortlessly European chic-ness that really pulls the dress off. it just needs a little something more (either in hair or accessories) to bring the look up a notch.

  • Jacob Bowen

LOVE the dress but can’t stand the collar that looks like she put the dress on backwards.

  • Monabel

    Wonky hem?

  • KT

This isn’t quite working for me. I like the idea of the dress, but that is not a flattering waistline, which makes for an overall unflattering silhouette. The high collar/cape-like thing is interesting, and has a sort of cheeky European flare to it, but the dress just looks awkward from the front. Also, yellow is decidedly not her color, and the black shoes are both boring and incongruent with the rest of the look. Harrumph.

  • Kent Roby

    How very.

  • E. D.

    She looks good!

  • bertkeeter

Shopper at Dior “I’d like a dress that not only doesn’t fit, but is also unbalanced and makes me look like the side of a barn” Salesperson “I have just the dress for you”!

  • Umbrellas of Cherbourg for sure.

  • demidaemon

Not loving the location of the waist seam. For a Dior, though, this is pretty palatable.

  • ThaliaMenninger

The shoes are awful but I can get down with the dress. Mod!

  • I love it but it SO needed a big medallion necklace or statement earrings or bangles. I don’t want to goof it up, but it looks like someone brought her the shoes and dress in the limo and she changed real quick.

  • Granny panties

I love this look. So 60’s model. Olga is so stunning, she can choose fashion over flattery.

  • in a pickle

If I could pull off this color (and I so, so can’t), I’d have worn a colored shoe, orange, green, anything but black as that reads immediately bumblebee to me. She is however really pulling off a hard to wear dress in both color and silhouette.

  • livesarah

She totally mugged Kerry Washington for this dress.

  • Carly Clement

I love the colour and the cape, but that bust fit is awful! It would look better if the fit was better and it come to the waist and would be more flattering, if it would sit closer to the body.

    • Clash D

      Everything she said.

  • Josefina Madariaga Suárez

All I could see was “from the director of Mean Girls and the writer of Heathers”. Is it wrong that I want to watch that movie?

  • quiltrx

I like this in theory (though I eschew yellow in all forms). But it seems like the cape portion is dragging the bustline seam upward. Or the seam is very, very poorly placed.

  • DeTrop

I love this if only for making me think of summer. It’s bright and breezy. It’s so cold and snowy here that I’m desperate for signs of warm weather.

  • Meg0GayGuys6

This dress has two backs. At first it looked like it was put on backwards, but from the side, it looks like she flipped a coin and thought, ok I’ll go with this way facing front today.

  • Kikishua

SO much better from the side, than the front

  • Very Audrey.
