The clothes in this shoot are absolutely adorable and suit Miss Juliette to a T. Which would be surprising to anyone who stopped paying attention to her ten years ago, because nobody back in her wild child days could have predicted she’d be looking so fabulous in super-girly high fashion retro styles at this stage in her life.
Juliette Lewis covers The Edit magazine photographed by Victor Demarchelier and styled by Karina Givargisoff.
On her outlook at life at the age of 40: “At 40, my eyes are open and excited by designers in a different way. I didn’t lean on that side of myself when I was younger.”
On her band: “It was a real big thing to jump off the acting bandwagon. I always liken it to cutting the umbilical cord. In my six years on the road, I was fully committed and created a real fan base for my music. The music we’re generating is fresh but it’s rooted in soul-driven rock’n’roll-the kind of music that gets into your spirit.”
On her role in “August: Osage County”: “It was a really rewarding, wild experience. When you work with the best, there’s such beauty in it. It’s what you hope for in this business and you get a handful of times. I’m old enough now to appreciate that.”
Adorable. But – and we hate to say this because we love her so – she needs some posing lessons. You can only cock your head so many times, you know?
