Gucci Fall 2014 Collection

Oh god yes.
(Said in Martin Freeman’s voice)
Anyone see A LOT of Valentino and Beckham in this?
Yes, especially Beckham because of the clean lines and silhouette, but I’m not complaining.
It must be so hard for you, Victoria. I mean, having to decide whether to wear the little Gucci dress, the little Gucci dress, or… the little Gucci dress!
sorry, I just drooled into your comments section. All the coats please! I never thought I’d be a Gucci girl, but this collection makes me want to marry a rich guy Although there is a bit of a monoboob going on the red and the green dress with the leather top parts.
Returning to the glory days of the 70′s, I see.
A glorious place I want to revel in. LOVE this collection – so much I can’t even just pick out one thing.
The bibfront powder blue leather dress is serving Dad’s Tux From My Parents’ 1976 Wedding realness, people.
The bibfronts (good word, leahpapa!) and the ruffle things are hurting my eyes. And a couple of the coats go Muppet.
But so much of the rest of the collection is wonderful. I love the structured coats and jackets, and most of the dresses (without the bibs and ruffles).
I had those ruffles.
And it’s returning to the side of 70s fashion that I liked, i.e., Faye Dunaway’s wardrobe in Network as opposed to… That 70s Show.
Yea to the coats, nay to the animal go-go boots. I’m boring like that.
I say yea to the glasses as well!
The blue coat! The black coat (I think it’s a coat?). The green coat in the thumbnail! Send to me.
I feel like every time I see a difficult design in blue or green I say “Florence Welch”. So I am not going to say it now.
Personally I think they styled the red-haired model to look like her.
Wasn’t she the face for Gucci or something a couple of seasons ago?
One of the best collections from them in a while I think.
nothing low cost can’t replicate
That was my thought too. This is a totally translatable collection. This could work at every price point from Pret a porter to Target.
From the inclusion of denim onward (look 3), this seems really accessible and wearable. So much so that I’m kind of disoriented.
OH MY GOD A GUCCI FOR TARGET COLLECTION dkjasdilfghiofhnsjkddsaf
Zara is going to be all over this.
it was the brand i thought immediately, but then i thought about many others of the same fashion group, and cheapest, when saw the coats.
Why did somebody down vote this? I consider that a good thing.
it also means that this time gucci is not doing any special statement in fashion
That’s true, but sometimes a brand has to return to their roots rather than doing something new. I’d rather them do something like this than make something avant garde, but fug. We’ve seen enough fug this season already.
That is very true. But when I think of Gucci, for me it is polished fashion statements, not avangard, but chic and with personality. I look at this…and i not feeling it. Fendi had more stregthness yesterday, without beeing avantgard nor fug
The green coat needs to be MINE.
The black a-line coat — i’m coming to get ya baby!
To each their own. One man’s boring is another man’s divine.
I think we need to make a difference between boring and clean and simple. Just because it doesn’t have the geegaws and funky silhouettes of Thom Browne does not mean that it is boring. Sometimes, clean, simple, wearable and, most importantly, store-ready is more important and attractive than funky-ass avant-garde (that may be fug).
(Said in Andrew Scott’s voice)
Love this and the clothes are always made beautifully when you fondle them in person. Having said that, What is up with those horrible crotches???
Yes, thank you! I was like, “How do you get crazy-crotch on professional models?” I was wondering if these pants were intended for men, but they put them on women and did bad alterations.
My god there is some covetable outerwear here. Except for the pink-poodle-bathmat coat, of which we should never speak again.
I just posted on this thread that I purchased a muppet coat this season. It’s not pink, but it is puffy, ridiculous, and fun! Let your eccentric freak flag fly!
Nothing personal, just not my style! Also I just felt it was a needle-scratch moment compared to the rest of the collection. Glad you’re enjoying your recent purchase, it sounds fun!
one of the best i’ve seen from Gucci in a while. i can’t get over the coat porn going on this season loving it!!!!!
I am with the other BKs. The level of coat porn here should be suggested as “NSFW”.
This is the coat porn that’s under the counter, locked away in a plexiglass container and you have to give the cashier a knowing wink and a hand signal to access it.
I want to do some naughty things to that mint green number (like wearing around the house while drinking coffee *gasp* and checking my email…)
Talk about some major coat porn!
Probably one of my favorite collections. I want EVERY pair of those boots! I also think it’s a great collection for us every day peoples to draw some inspiration from. However, could they PLEASE teach the models how to carry those handbags? It seems like a crime against humanity for them to be schleeped around like that.
Talk about your coat porn.
Courregges-inspired coats and dresses, SQUEE!!! Also, GLASSES.
The glasses look great with the Twiggy makeup too!
Love them, especially the ones in the first look.
Gorgeous. Love all the colored leather.
Well, I’m pretty sure that the carpet-coat is what’s up. Does not every collection so far have at least one? Not that I’m mad at ‘em. I’m so picturing myself as a kick-ass lady pimp in that green leather/curlycoat ensemble.
Do it, do it, do it. (Free People, multi-color, on sale for $99)
SWEET. Now, I just have to assemble a stable of Man Ho’s. (Rubs hands together slyly)
I really hope this trickles down to retail levels I can afford. All of it.
This is the coat porn equivalent of a gang bang.
Coats AAAAAAANNNNND boots! Hurrah!
Love the Pea coat and the jeans in the second look and actually think the leopard stuff is pretty tasteful but the rest doesn’t do much for me… and no coat porn here (but it’s a lovely day in San Francisco so coats are not on my mind these days)
Not one gown?
Some good coat porn candidates here.
I also love how slim-ankled the boots are; though I can’t get behind the loafer lip.
I hadn’t noticed that! No, not an attractive detail at all.
Ew, gross! I hadn’t seen that either.
I want those sunglasses in the green color!!!
Not a big fan of leather clothing but outside of that there are a lot of things I like mixed all through this collection, but boy are those glasses hella unflattering to the face. Downright ugly. Love the boots though I thought the deflated bags looked odd.
Maybe it’s regional: I, too, have problems with much of the leather, especially from a practicality standpoint (the heat of wearing it, the cleaning of it, the discomfort of the stiffness).
Maybe that’s what it is. Not a lot of people wearing leather clothes in the south. Can you imagine? *shudders*
I want to love all this, but some of the colors, the bad crotches, and what look like printed plastic rain boots are bothering me. I do love a couple of the coats, including the flared animal-print one.
Wow, so many great things. Of all the fuzzy coats we’ve been seeing, these are my favorite. The blue one is just beyond.
The boots are gorgeous — except they have that weird loafer upper. I even like the animal prints (not a big fan of) because the patterns are well-placed and not so literal. The dress silhouettes are classic and flattering.
A quibble: the models look like they’re wearing actual men’s trousers — loose crotches, slim legs — which can only worn by women with very slim hips (not me).
Love the coats except the fur ones. Beautiful simple lines on the clothes. Elegant well-tailored look, which is what I think of Gucci.
Gorgeous coats. Love them ll except the pink bathmat in the middle. Not crazy about the fit of the pants suits. but love the dresses and bags.
I thought yesterday was “coat porn” day? I can envision Allison Williams in all of it.
The pastel tailored non-fluffy coats are particularly her.
If Lana Del Rey was That Girl! (This is a dream collection.)
Stunning – I love that early 70s short dress/long boots look!
That Muppet coat speaks to me like nothing else can…
Real shit, though, this collection is amazing. I love almost all the pieces.
I bought a Muppet coat (NOT Gucci!) on super sale this month. Look! I’m on trend for the upcoming fall.
The coat is puffy, ridiculous and fun. I HIGHLY recommend letting your inner muppet rock out. No matter your age. Ahem.
I want the black coat with the elaborate silver fasteners. But overall, this collection is to die for.
Pull out the outfits that scream “MARCIA, MARCIA, MARCIA” and “Oh my nose!!” and this is quite the collection.
That peacoat in the 3rd look? I’ve been slain. I don’t even know what to call that color (is there such a thing as slate green?) but I love it.
i do love those blue/green combinations.
I was going to call it a dull turquoise, and I love it. It’s the only thing here that didn’t put me to sleep or make me think of naugahyde ’70s car upholstery.
Someone really wants to dress Taylor Swift…
(Mostly) really cute coats and jackets, and (mostly) really cute skirts and dresses. Very 60s inspired.
Coat AND boot porn!
This is my dream wardrobe.
This surprises me. I usually find Gucci to be tacky and trashy, but there are some really demure, wearable, and classy (as classy as Gucci can be) looks
in this collection. I actually like most of it.
Yes, I was very pleasantly surprised by this.
this is a bit of bye bye birdie, no?
Serious coat porn, well cut pants, color and the smartest leather dresses I’ve seen, what’s not to like? i hope everything gets cloned so I can buy it.
This seems so tame for Gucci. I mean, I like it, but it seems so off-brand for them.
They should go this direction more often haha I don’t ever want to see that bird dress that was on every star last year again.
That pink moto jacket and the fuzzy pink boucle coat…get on me. Now. I never thought I would want a giant pink muppet coat, but here I am.
1968, revisited. Right down to the blue mohair coat.
I dig some of this.
Looking at this collection, all I can hear is Nicki Minaj saying, “Hey hey hey hey WORK WORK!” from this one interview she did with Ellen Degeneres. I am LOVING this.
Amazing. Much of this collection, I could and would actually wear.
It all looks very late 70′s/ early 80′s Mary Tyler Moore to me.
The Mary Tyler Moore Show aired from 1970 – 1977.
I like it. Most of it isn’t FASHION but if I could put myself in that blue coat (3rd from the top) or the black sleeveless (second from the left on the bottom row), I feel fabulous.
Carnaby Street by way of Milan. The Gucciest collection I’ve seen in a long time. Love.
Mrs. Peel, we’re needed. And here us your wardrobe.
That is a good thing! Love this!
LOVING this collection. Seriously coveting that oxblood dress with the leather bodice… would cut a bitch for it.
Eh, for me it’s okay, but on the boring side. A couple of great coats, but the leather is off-putting.
I just love these clothes, especially the coats? So clean and fresh!!
Everything looks itchy, like you’d get a rash when you walked.
These coats are NSFW!
I can’t decide if I like this or not….which probably means I don’t. But I AM making grabby hands at some of the bags.
Wow talk about time warp! Right from the late 60′s – early 70s!
FINE LEATHER GOODS. I bow.
Love it. Serious coat porn happening
what am amazingly wearable collection. I’ll have one of each please
Good looking and wearable. Bravo.
Simple, chic and STUNNING! Most of the jackets and coats are to die for!
Those blue python boots are gorgeous! Stunning collection, reminiscent of Tom Ford for Gucci.
Very nice. Clean lines. Almost Michael Kors in its design aesthetic. Love it all .
Love this. The side buttons on some of these coats (most notably #7) remind me of Faye Dunaway’s unforgettable wardrobe in 1968′s “The Thomas Crown Affair.” Now THERE was a master class in chic!
This is all very nice, but I’ve seen it before. Nothing wrong with that, but why would I want to pay a premium for it?
