Each model appears to have woken up, worked out, then put on her most lovely outfit without showering or brushing her hair. That said they are lovely outfits.

    • Glam Dixie

That shiny chartreuse fabric is hideous. Not really loving much of this, I liked a couple, too lazy to scroll up and count and figure out which ones, but most are misses for me.

      • Pennymac

Shiny, chartreuse pants! I am cringing at the thought of the shiny bum of anyone over 16 years old or 98 pounds would have in those pants!

      • H2olovngrl

Agree completely. Dresses that are ruched down the middle just say, “hooker” to me. The shiny chartreuse, the mismatched outfits, just no. Awful. Sorry.

    • Snoskred

Was Kelly Osbourne responsible for the hair? There seems to be more than one model with lilac hair here.. :/

Not a great fan of this. especially not the concept of lilac hair becoming a catching thing.

      • quiltrx

I think you’re seeing a trick of the lighting. The only ones that have a remotely purplish cast to their hair on my computer are the ones with very dark (likely black) shiny hair.

        • foodycatAlicia

          I think that is right.

        • Snoskred

If this is the case, I will like to ban such lighting from the world permanently.. :)

But if it were the lighting then I would expect it to fade out and be patchy and mostly just on the top of their heads.. On some of these ladies it seems to be an all over the hair thing. EG the girl with the red trousers on, her hair seems to be lilac all over..

I will hope it is just the lighting.. :)

      • camsteerie

I’m not seeing lilac hair. Once I adjust to the fact I may have developed the dreaded lilac occlusion syndrome, I’ll take a second look at the clothes.

      • MilaXX

Yeah I’m not seeing any lilac hair either.

        • demidaemon

Me neither. However, the predominance of lilac clothing may be affecting everyone’s eyesight.

One day I’ll have to figure out how to post from home without using the hub’s account.

I like the clothes and think there are some very interesting design elements that could suit real women. But the colors are ugly. I just can’t with the mauve. Although I find a fondness for the chartreuse but not as a shiny pair of pants.

      • jw_ny

It’s pretty simple to create a new discus account. At the upper right side of the comment section, you’ll see your hub’s name in grey with a down arrow next to it…click on that and then ‘log out.’ The page will bounce back up to the top…scroll back down and click on ‘log in’ click on ‘discus’ and a new page will pop up…click on ‘need an account?’…and start filling in your information. Once you have an account then just log in/log out with your individual usernames or email addresses and passwords…depending upon which of you is using it. :)

        • Glenn Johnson

Thanks! I’ll try this as soon as I quit drooling over the Black Sail clothing. Now THAT floats my boat!

    • MilaXX

I love every single piece. Really like the dresses and would kill for that gold.brown printed coat or coat dress.

    • quiltrx

LOVE the rich, pretty colors. Agreed with others that the shiny chartreuse is a bit of a needlescratch. These clothes look comfortable and wearable–nice.

      • Glam Dixie

Shiny chartreuse pants, what the lump? :)

      • DaringMiss

I agree. Those colors are so beautiful! I am hoping that every designer uses those colors for the next decade!

    • pookiesmom

This is super simple, but I LOVE it.

    • pugluv

      Luv this!

    • lamamu

This isn’t exactly what I would call an aspirational collection, but it seems accessible to the average woman…who has $1,000 to spend on a shirt.

    • @Biting Panda

It’s heavily retro. Possibly too much so.

    • foodycatAlicia

Ankle length pants that flare instead of tapering are a pet hate of mine.

      • Tatiana Luján

I find so many reasons to hate them (their power to make people look stumpy, for instance), that I don’t even consider it a pet hate, but a completely rational an justified hate.

    • allcapsERINN

I love it. Love it all.

    • LaSylphide

In all honesty, I don’t much care for any of this. Nothing terrible, just not very interesting. That said, I do appreciate that the clothes look wearable by normal people. Just don’t know why they would want to: if I had that kind of money, I buy something prettier.

      • demidaemon

      • Lower L

I mostly agree, but I do like the green dress in the grid of small photos at the bottom of the post. It looks both comfortable and flirty.

    • demidaemon

I think almost all of these clothes are hideous. The color palette is seriously not helping.

    • Heron

Am I crazy or is this like the 4th collection with vermillion silk? Was there a sale at Mood?

    • Sabin

When I was 2, I came down with the vicious influenza of 1968. I was apparently delerious for quite awhile, and afterwards, every time I had a fever I’d have these bizarre, LSD-type nightmares. Same ones, in the same exact order, every time, until I was about 12. One of the nightmare segments was of a scene of me walking down the sidewalk, with single daisies perfectly spaced along the grass strip between the sidewalk the the road, until a lawnmower came along and mowed them down.

The tie-in to this collection? The entire world in this particular nightmare segment was the EXACT color of those shiny green pants.

    • deelup

Neither be me or do me. More like hire me.

    • Trickytrisha

      Kind of meh.

      • Alyssa

I was thinking the same thing…just meh.

    • save_the_hobbit

    • Tatiana Luján

This all looks so dated. And not dated like in a retro way, dated like “this is stuff that was being sold on the department stores in 2007″

    • DuBey2

Mostly, I like it. Not that fashion forward, but workable in real life.

    • Imasewsure

I like the mauve pieces and the grey suit a lot. I respect the chartreuse but it’s a whole lot of look

    • frannyprof

      Seems amateurish to me.

    • Gatto Nero

Terrible clothes and seriously ugly mid-’90s era footwear.
