Bradley Cooper in Dolce&Gabbana at the “American Hustle” Moscow Photo Call

Posted on February 06, 2014

The rest of the outfit’s pretty bland and the “walking back and forth on a carpet remnant on the roof” aspect of the event is distractingly odd, but we don’t care.

Bradley Cooper attends photo call on the roof of the Ritz-Carlton Hotel to promote his latest movie “American Hustle” in Moscow, Russia in a Dolce&Gabbana coat.

Because that’s some coat porn right there. Just look at that crisp little number. Gorgeous. We wouldn’t ding him for not dressing better for such a ridiculous event, but even so; it’s a shame he’s so casual because that coat deserves better.

Why do we have to keep fighting the feeling that he’s going to fight off thirty evil photographers and then leap away across the rooftops like Jason Bourne?

The only thing that makes my eye twitch is the white shirt peeking out from underneath his sweater. It looks as though his sweater is too small and riding up on his belly, which we all know isn’t the case. Otherwise RAWR!!!

    • jspark

Am I crazy for liking the white shirt peaking out above the collar?

  • jw_ny

No to the henley collar under a V neck sweater!

It’s a nice coat and I don’t mind that he’s dressed causally beneath it, but I do mind that those jeans don’t fit! Why is it such a problem for stylists to find clothes that fit their clients? They are doing a disservice to the designers.

    • Bridget Smith

This may be completely ridiculous for me to think, but: are the shirt & sweater attached? Those collars are too neatly aligned to be separate garments.

      • jw_ny

oh I hope not! they did that not too long ago with the tee built into a V neck sweater…I see many at the thrift stores (not getting re-sold). But, the way the white is hanging out of the bottom, I suspect it’s not attached.

        • Sarah

That is not the type of thing the Moneyed People are offered from retailers. Two-fer garments are for the proletariat only.

      • FrigidDiva

I’m having flashbacks to my first “business dress” outfit that I thought was SO professional looking because the button down shirt and the ribbed sweater were attached–GAH!

      • Violentcello

I thought the exact same thing for the exact same reason!

      • formerlyAnon

I would credit the assistants hovering just out of camera range who run in to tweak details the team cares about between poses.

  • Emily Dagger

    1) and it’s SO much better suited to him than the red coat he wore the other day.

    2) I would absolutely pay twelve U.S. dollars to see a movie in which he fought off 30 evil photographers and then leaped away across the rooftops like Jason Bourne.

  • http://www.snoskred.org/ Snoskred

I’m a bit crazy about the shoes.

The look on his face reminds me of him walking out of that press conference at one of the award shows.. which I was not a fan of. :(

  • Sam Smith

This would be yes, if his pants/jeans were more fitted.

    • kimmeister

Bradley is about 6’1″ so I’m guessing those jeans were made for a 7′ tall basketball player. They are ridiculously long on him.

    • Mismarker

In Soviet Russia, jeans wear you.

  • Evan

    Talk about sloppy

    • Anna

Very. I’m heartbroken for the coat.

  • sagecreek

That coat works much better than yesterday’s!

  • Adrianna Grężak

That man loves a long coat

  • Sarah

I used to chill with this kid who was my friend’s boyfriend’s little brother (he was very cute.) We would party and watch BET videos together. One time, we were going out to get some food, and he was laying around in shorts on the floor in front of the TV, so we were telling him to hurry up. He said “Hold on, I’m putting pants.” So we called him “Pudding Pants” forever after that. Bradley has Pudding Pants. Nice Coat, though.

  • TRSTL

HEM. THOSE. PANTS. But, that coat is gorgeous and his hair looks really good to me here.

  • marlie

This is seriously the best he’s looked in a LONG time. I like the short, non-crispy hair, he’s mostly clean-shaven… the sweater underneath the coat isn’t bad (though the jeans are a little too baggy), but that coat is positively drool-worthy. Nice job, BCoop!

    • http://foodycat.blogspot.co.uk/ foodycatAlicia

It is certainly the first time I wouldn’t mind touching his hair.

    • jw_ny

couldn’t get his standard 32 oz bottle of gel past the TSA. ;)

    • JLH

      My sentiments exactly.

  • Danielle

He shaved. I was enjoying the scruff. Sad.

  • @Biting Panda

I can’t with the tshirt poking out from under the sweater. Can not. But the rest is Panda approved.

  • Jessica Freeman

He may leap off the building, but with all that extra fabric on his pants, he will surely get caught on something on the way down.

He looks quite tasty in that coat. Much better than his last appearance on TLo.

  • http://foodycat.blogspot.co.uk/ foodycatAlicia

    Jesus those jeans are long.

Is this the only place in Moscow they do photocalls? I remember Mila Kunis poledancing with that view.

    • Constant Reader

What I don’t get is why they don’t have an indoor photocall venue. It’s Russia in February — it’s got to be freaking COLD on that roof!

      • formerlyAnon

Somebody forgot to order some critical element of the lighting gear?

        • marlie

All of their resources have been redirected to Sochi?

  • Glam Dixie

Love the coat but he obviously stole some tall guys pants.

    • boweryboy

      And some little kid’s sweater…

  • deelup

Could he have a terribly short inseam? Doesn’t he often have pants that look far too long? Other than that I actually love him in this look. I like his hair for a change and it looks like he shaved within about 12 hours of this photo being taken which is shocking.

    • boweryboy

That’s the only logic I can think of regarding the fit of his pants. My partner has the same problem. Fortunately, he has me to hem them for him. He’s insisted a few times that I let him do it but I refuse because he wouldn’t do it as good as I can.

      • kimmeister

Aw, what a nice guy you are!

      • MilaXX

That just proves how great a guy you are.

      • deelup

My son has this issue too and unless you know someone who does I suspect you’d not even think about it.

  • YourBaloneyDontGotNoSecondName

I like everything I see here, even the slouchy-baggy stuff going on. That is one handsome man.

  • VioletFem

He seems to really like long coats. This is a nice one, but I don’t think the style of the coat matches the outfit he’s wearing underneath it. The outfit is a little too casual for the coat. On a side note, I love hearing him talk in french. I just recently saw a clip of him being interviewed by a french morning news show for American Hustle, and he was quite eloquent.

  • demidaemon

Everything about this is just weird.

  • boweryboy

He’s a huge sloppy mess in a too small sweater with a incongruously fabulous coat. However, as long as he keeps his hair short he’ll get my motor running everytime.

  • Tatiana Luján

He looks clean and doesn’t look insane, the wonders of natural light.

I wish guys understood the benefits of hemming their pants properly and how taller and sleeker and sharper and smarter they would look just by cutting some inches off the hem of their pants.

    • SugarSnap108

Heh. Clean and not-insane – that’s not much to ask. Nor should properly hemmed pants be a lot to ask. And yet ….

  • Mars Tokyo

The problem with Bradley Cooper is he’s always just so pleased with himself.

  • AnnaleighBelle

“Why do we have to keep fighting the feeling that he’s going to fight off thirty evil photographers and then leap away across the rooftops like Jason Bourne?”

    Because that’s Putin’s Russia, baby!

  • NBG

He undid that awesome coat by wearing pants that are long enough for Lebron James! No tailors at all? Anywhere?

    • AnnaleighBelle

” No tailors at all? Anywhere?”

      Because that’s Putin’s Russia, baby!
I think that’s going to be my new catch phrase, at least for the next 16 days of glory.

      • Constant Reader

        Mind if I steal it?

        • AnnaleighBelle

          I can’t stop you, because that’s Putin’s Russia, baby!
          I don’t even know who I am anymore…

    • Constant Reader

Maybe he’s going for that “all Americans are cowboys and ride horses” effect. Because those pants would probably be the perfect length if he were sitting on a horse.

  • yethica

He’s totes-magoats adorbs (hah), but the melting pants are making me nuts. Hem those suckers! Or at least roll them up, for the love of all that is holy!

    • marlie

WHAT? Roll them?! Hem – absolutely. Roll – no freaking way.

      • yethica

And by roll, I meant cuff. I like a good cuff.

  • Mismarker

Those jeans have a 65″ inseam.

  • Lori

The only place this person is Jason Bourne is in his dreams. (Please movie gods let him never, ever be Jason Bourne anywhere else.)

I know. I know. So cranky, Lori. I can’t help it. He pins the needle on my d-bag-o-meter.

  • colleenjanel

This confirms for me that there are some men in this world who *NEED* scruff. Not loving clean shaven Bradley.

And the fabric of that coat seems a little thin to me. It look more like a long sportcoat. I’d love it in something just a hair thicker. A touch more heft.

    • jilly_d

Cannot agree more on the scruff. There seems to be a lot of hate from the BK’s for faces that aren’t clean shaven, but I find it works for a lot of men. And some men, like our Bradley here, look better with it than without. I have managed to manipulate my own darling husband into keeping his scruff from “no-shave-November” all the way through winter this year – he still has it :) He says it’s going away once it warms up, but I say we’ll see. *tents fingers together and squints*

  • Jen

He reminds me of Robin Williams without the beard. Bring it back pleasssee!

    • Deedles

Oooh.. Cannot unsee. I was thinking Jason Bateman’s long-lost brother with a couple of the smirk-y shots.

  • Sophie

He would trip on his own pants if he tried to leap across the rooftops. But I love the coat and the smile. Especially in the first picture.

  • suzq

The outfit says, “This is a crappy appearance, so I will appear crappy.” The coat says, “I’m an awesome American. Don’t you wish you could BE ME?”

  • Shawn EH

He’s got a superhero bod under all that porn and jeans.

  • FrigidDiva

I’m biased, I’ve been a fan of his since he was the hot journalist on Alias that Jennifer Garner’s Sydney Bristow friend-zoned. That being said, fashion wise he always seem to miss something. In this case, great coat but the rest of the outfit gives me a sad.

    • marlie

I loved him then, but he’s grown douchier over time (to me).

    • kimmeister

Except for that tasty season 3 episode when he snuck out of that zone. ;-)

  • SugarSnap108

If his clothes actually fit him, I wouldn’t mind the casual attire under the coat. Because that is one fine coat.

  • BKagainwiththesweatpants

When Sherlock jumped off the roof, HIS PANTS WERE HEMMED PROPERLY. I just can’t with this guy.

  • Joanna

He is becoming increasingly Jason Bateman.

    • Mismarker

Wait. Is this a bad thing?

      • Joanna

Not for me – I love Jason Bateman! But it’s probably a bad thing for Bradley to be indistinguishable from someone much cooler than him, lol.

    • Imasewsure

He wishes… we wish… hopefully we won’t end up with another McConnaughey… that is our bigger worry

  • http://twitter.com/#!/Space_Kitty Space Kitty

Damn, that coat deserves a better outfit.

  • appliquer

Why, oh, why, are the pants soooo long?!

    • MilaXX

I was going to write the same thing. Those are first day of school, you’ll grow into them too long.

  • MilaXX

    Doorman on his day off.

  • Imasewsure

The close up of just the top half looks great. Coat is gorgeous…. pants puddle not so much…

  • Hallie

    IS THAT HEM A JOKE

  • ashtangajunkie

There was a brief moment in time during which I got what all the ladies dig about this guy. That time has passed.

  • Kent Roby

Great, now I’m craving a $5 footlong from Subway.

  • Coolekat

That coat deserves so much more than those pants.

  • Nicole Little

    Best he’s looked.

  • MissusBee

Switch the saggy pants for good jeans, top it with a sweater that fits, in a richer color, with a classic shirt or tee instead of the awkward Henley, and it’s perfect.

Not that I’m picky or anything.

  • YoungSally

Are you sure it was a red carpet event? I am not convinced that the carpet in the photo was ever red.

  • elemspbee

The coat’s length is odd. it looks short. is that just because his pants need to be hemmed?

  • formerlyAnon

He’s as attractive here as he ever gets for me. There’s an elfin quality to his face, maybe it’s the hair? Or maybe the bizarrely long pants are affecting my brain function. The shirt hanging out under the sweater is a bit jarring, but whatevs. Gorgeous, gorgeous, GORGEOUS coat.

  • Ashleigh

That outfit could be 10 times better in 10 seconds…but yeah, the COAT!!!

  • Anne

Also, he shaved and his hair looks clean. I’m calling this a win!

  • fananafanafophalec

total bitter kitten digression here, but why didn’t you guys post those shots of Lupita Nyong’o in Vogue Italia? they would’ve been such a great potd.

  • CatherineRhodes

Why is he on the roof?

  • LeelaST

Did he think stylists were going to provide an entire outfit but just received the coat? He looks ridiculous.

  • bertkeeter

I see he still hasn’t fired that stylist!

  • http://twitter.com/kendallbrunson SassyMcFrench

Those pants and that hair are too distracting! Who’s Lady Clairol now?

  • decormaven

Great coat, but why isn’t there a pop of color with a nice scarf?

  • lundibleu

I don’t think the coat deserves a smarter outfit, necessarily, just some jeans that are the right length and a darker coloured jumper would have done it. I like him so much better with this hair though, than when it was slicked back and longer.

  • Pennymac

    Yum. That is all.

  • Mich

Well… shame on me because I didn’t even notice what he was wearing.. those eyes.. that smile….ahhh

  • guest2visits

The coat is great but it doesn’t work with pants that are too long or a shirt roll peeking out under his sweater.
If he tucked the shirt, buffed the shoes, and hemmed the legs….but it’s nice that it looks like he’s getting a kick out of his roof top pictorial.

  • Clash D

The white shirt showing mid-waist is killing what is otherwise a really good look. Those are some gorgeous threads.

  • http://cheekypinky.wordpress.com cheekypinky

    Babar the Elephant pants. *siiiiigh*
