Anne Hathaway Shopping at Off The Wall Antiques in LA

Posted on February 24, 2014

We are so digging Miss Anne’s new attitude.

Anne Hathaway does some shopping at Off The Wall Antiques in Los Angeles, California carrying a Viktor&Rolf grey leather ‘Bombette’ bag.

Viktor&Rolf Resort 2014 Collection ‘Bombette’ Bag

It says, “I’m too fabulous to have my picture taken but let me switch the expensive bag in my right hand to my left hand as I walk past so you can get a good shot of it. But really, I don’t care. I hate you.”

Attagirl. Love your outfit.

  • Great hair, shades, shirt, pants, and accessories. I am actually coveting the pants. Not crazy about whatever tassels seem to be hanging off the boots. This look has a lot of little details really making it sing.

    • kimmeister

Extremely long tassels, at that! That’s some major flapping action happening in the 3rd of the small shots.

      • Flapping is truly the least chic of the verbs.

      • Courtenay P

Those boots are the Acne pistols, and i live for mine. The tassel brings the DRAMA

    • Ginger

Those tassels remind me of the late 80’s when those of us who wore cowboy boots a lot (ropers, to be exact) used to take silver conchos and thread suede lacing through them and leave long tails on which we would string those colored beads. Those would, of course, be attached to the pulls on the ropers. They were ALL the rage in cowgirl-land. UGH…I just gave away how truly tragic I’ve been my entire life.

      • formerlyAnon

Context is all. It wasn’t tragic AT ALL in the time & place.

  • mmebam

Yes, dear, we see your bag.

    • Lucía Gavello

      And we need it.

    • alyce1213

“I’m gonna show this bag like I’m supposed to and Viktor & Rolf will give me another!”

    • wisdomy

I see nothing BUT that bag. Want that bag. NEED THAT BAG. Find myself suddenly willing to abandon a lifetime of integrity for THAT BAG.

      • Mimi

      • filmcricket

It comes in 2 shades of red, and forest green as well. I am dying. If someone finds a deep teal version I’m selling a kidney.

  • @Biting Panda

I’m getting shades of Reese Witherspoon. That fabulously accessorized bitchiness, true BKs appreciate and adore.

    • Nikko Viquiera

She and Reese should do a “Parking Lot Tour 2014” together. So much fabulousness!

      • Jacob Bowen

YAAASSS! Reese has been returning to the parking lots as of late, so this would be PERFECT!

  • carpediva

Ms. Hathaway is all out of fucks to give. It’s like she said ” They hate me no matter what, Imma do what I want! No more Princess Nice Gal!”

    • Oh, she has fucks to give. They are in the purse.

      • carpediva

        Oh, brava. Nicely done, girl.

  • Beth

    That bag. Gimme.

  • jilly_d

If I had that bag, I would be projecting images of it onto tall buildings to make sure everyone saw it.

    • Mismarker

Why stop there? I’m think Bat signal that shiz into the sky!

    • raininmai

It’s a beautiful bag to show off, but to me it looked like a defensive move to put the bag between her and the photographers. It’s a purse working as armor.

  • Danielle

The resting bitch face is strong with miss Annie.

  • MilaXX

LOVE the bag, and really digging the semi butch look she’s sporting lately.

    • PlethoraofBooks

I think she just really needed to get away from Rachel Zoe. Whoever is styling her now is helping on some major image rehab and hitting it right on the money!

    • Spicytomato1

I love that she cut her hair for a role and then didn’t immediately grow it out and/or instantly, magically lengthen it with extensions. She seems to be owning the short hair, which I love. In fact I can’t even imagine her rocking the ubiquitous Hollywood long ‘do at this point anymore.

  • In_Stitches

I positively loathe booties. That understood, I love hers. She’s werqin’ it.

    • Loramir

I hate hate HATE them with dresss or skirts, but they do sometimes work with pants. I agree, she’s pulling them off.

  • alyce1213

She’s cute bitchy, a look she does well. Better than over-smiley I’m getting an Oscar Anne.
I think the bag looks a little formal, stiff with the rest of her outfit. I see it more on an executive in a dress or suit.

  • Carly Clement

Yeah…. I still have a hunch she has a little bun in that oven of hers!!

  • teensmom99

Clothes are great but I’m really loving the way she has taken ownership of the short hair.

    • Spicytomato1

Yes, I posted something similar above about her hair before I saw this. Couldn’t agree more.

  • Miss wks

Did she get her upper lip done? Looks more pronounced….

  • AnneElliot

    Great hair. So jealous.

  • andreawey

love the clean face, she looks 10 years younger

  • Gatto Nero

She looks great. And like she wants to be left alone.

  • Heather

She is making me desire those shoes. Which is impressive because I do not like booties at all.

  • SophieCollier

I covet that bag. And her figure.

  • J.W.

    Bag sponsorship…

  • VioletFem

I love this new look of hers.

  • Sally

Is she as sad as she looks?

  • marlie

I want that bag. That is all.

  • quiltrx

She can ship that bag to my house. Maybe if I tell her how much I like her hair and boots?

  • Jacob Bowen

This bitch’s on a mission to look FABULOUS. I LOVE her new style and LOVE that bag! Anne you can do no wrong!

  • Jeannie Shmina Greenwald

I guess I’m the only one who doesn’t care about the bag. Meh.

    • J.W.

      You’re not alone.

  • abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxqyz

SERIOUSLY she starts to pull on more and more of those bixch faces, making her on par with Gwyneth Paltrow, who undoubtedly is one of the most hated actress of all time in Hollywood.

  • Mimi

  • gefeylich

She’s still a crap actress. And for some reason she reminds me of Molly Ringwald in this photo, instead of her usual jazz-hands Minnelli look. A disservice to Ringwald.

    • huh. i think she’s got some serious acting chops – no matter how much she can annoy.

      molly not so much.

  • DeniseSchipani

That bag is empty. Just like all the take-out coffee cups that actors on TV shows carry around. How hard is it to put some liquid in a cup so that a person carries it as though it has actual weight? It makes a difference! Rant over, sorry.

    • prisma

I’ve never noticed that before! Now I’m going to be on the lookout for empty cups and purses. A new obsession.

  • KinoEye

Yay! More bitchface Anne! Once again, channeling the timeless Jean Seberg.

  • Alyssa

Love the hair, love the sunglasses, love the shirt, LOVE the bag!

  • CatherineRhodes

Maybe I’m naive about all this, but why does an Academy Award-winning actress who is no doubt a multi-millionaire need to shill for a free handbag? Wouldn’t it be more dignified if she refused to be a walking product placement?

    • AzSportsGirl

It’s all about the dog & pony show and the fact that you *are* so fabulous that these designers *want* to give you stuff. I forget the chapter but the psychology is in Be Me or Do Me.
      Hmmm. Time to reread *ALREADY*

  • stubbornthoughts

And I am so digging Miss Anne’s new bag.

  • Sally Spannagle

She looks cute, but this look has been done time and time again — pixie cut, bare face, no smiles, ankle boots, mannish clothing — meh I’m bored.

  • dickylarue

I really wish she’ll do a remake of “Just One Of The Guys” before she lets that shit grow out.

  • Imasewsure

I think I could break that bag handle in about a week. I need those boots though. Keep it up Annie!

  • Gatto Nero

So — someone explain to me how this works.
Is Victor&Rolf paying her (or giving her a free bag) to flash their product at photographers? In which case she shouldn’t be looking so pissed off.
Or is she just being ambushed while antiques shopping? In which case I understand the bitch face.
    Thank you.

  • Shug

[decides I really need to get serious about looking for a cute pair of booties]

  • formerlyAnon

Very much like her hair, gives her look a much needed punch up when it’s short. Is that “shirt tucked in only in the front” a thing for girls now? Here I thought it was a silly boy trend. On girls it’s silly and unflattering. (Miss Anne is too slim for it to matter. Mere mortals, however . . .)

  • Pablo

Love the clothes, hate the boots.
