AnnaSophia Robb in Alice + Olivia at The Heart Truth Red Dress Collection Show

Posted on February 07, 2014

Aw. L’il Carrie is growing up so fast.

AnnaSophia Robb atttends the Go Red For Women, The Heart Truth Red Dress Collection 2014 at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week held at Lincoln Center in New York City in an Alice + Olivia by Stacey Bendet dress.

Alice + Olivia Fall 2013 Collection

Personal Best, girl. Personal Best.

The hair and makeup strike us as a bit mature. Or maybe we’re thinking it just doesn’t quite suit her doll-like features. But the dress is drop dead gorgeous on her and the overall effect is head-turning. Not quite a WERQ, because we think different hair and makeup choices could have elevated this even further, but definitely an “Attagirl.”

Different hair, yes, but I personally think her makeup is just about perfect (possible a slightly stronger lip). Her eyes are so striking that heavy eye makeup would detract from them, I think. That dress…wow.

    • Diego!

OMG… she’s grown a lot! She looks amazing!!! Attagirl indeed. Almost WERQ! :D

    • @Biting Panda

Yes, yes, yes! This is gorgeous! So much better on her than the model.

      • homofascist

I agree, although I just LOVE that model photo with the contrasting wallpaper and colors. Makes the dress all that more striking.

      • sugarkane105

That model is PISSED someone knocked down her chandelier.

    • http://gabyrippling.tumblr.com/ Gaby

Makeup/hair is making her look like a Jane Krakowski impersonator. Love the dress though.

      • vitaminC

Or a Jenna Maroney drag queen?

      • sherrietee

I thought she was impersonating Heather Locklear, myself.

    • Little_Olive

She looks way better (less teenagery-prissy) than other times, but I don’t think it deserves that much praise. The dress, which I’m not in love with, is doing most of the lifting.

    • SuzyQuzey

She looks lovely. She also looks like she’s 35 years old.

      • Dam_Angel

But the metallic green nail polish adds some youthfulness.

    • Glam Dixie

She looks like a gorgeous trellis, I even like the hair.

    • JR Labrador

The dress is gorgeous. The make up is okay. The hair is totally Locklear.

    • MilaXX

Love the dress, but the hair & makeup are giving me Carrie Underwood/country music vibes

      • Kimbolina

Ahh, I’m glad I’m not the only one who was thinking country music.

      • mjude

        exactly!

      • deelup

I was getting a little Vanna White too, but I think I have the Miley interview to thank for that.

      • sagecreek

Honestly, I scrolled back up to make sure it WASN’T Carrie Underwood.

      • decormaven

        Nailed it!

    • SugarSnap108

Gorgeous dress. My only complaint is the hair – Heather Locklear-ish.

      • sherrietee

That was my EXACT thought! I looked at the picture and thought “why did they post an old photo of Heather Locklear?”

    • sugarkane105

She looks so different here! Maybe because I’m used to seeing her in cracked out pseudo 80’s styles and crimped hair from The Carrie Diaries. Love the dress!

    • teensmom99

This dress is so early Carrie–that is, early in SITC.

    • Danielle

I APPROVE. This dress is spectacular.

    • YousmelllikeAnnaWintour

“Delta Dawn, what’s that flower you’ve got on…”

    • http://www.youtube.com/user/TheOctocornNetwork International Model

Never let your hair blend in with your shoulders.

    • kt

It’s an attagirl almost solely for the dress, which is lovely. But she is GIVING Heather Locklear

      • Morales Mike

Thank you! I thought the same thing! She could be Sammy Jo in a Dynasty movie!

    • Sofia Bentivoglio

the hair and earrings are extremely boring

    • rissa42210

The head doesn’t match the dress.

    • sagecreek

Maybe an updo would have helped?

    • deelup

I want this dress and the flower crown on the model, and I want to wear it all the time.

      • Melanie

        i want the model’s lipstick!

    • Sif

Gorgeous dress, but am I the only person who thinks the fabric is too heavy?

    • webslice33

      beautiful!

    • marlie

She looks a lot like Jane Krakowski here. Anyway, AS looks pretty fabulous. Her dress is gorgeous – that fabric is really lovely. I don’t mind her hair, and I think her makeup looks good – this is one of the few times when it seems ok to deploy the natural (NOT foundation-colored) lip color.

      • Christine Hart

I was thinking Heather Locklear, but yeah.

        • Imasewsure

          That’s where I went with it too….

    • SewingSiren

Love it as shown on the model. It’s very pretty on her, but she seems to have no personal flair.

    • Noah

      That’s some fucking flawless fabric.

    • Glam Dixie

Also, cannot stop singing, “Painting the roses red, we’re painting the roses red! The Queen she likes ‘em red, If she saw white instead, She’d raise a fuss

And each of us Would quickly lose his head”

    • RussellH88

I honestly thought she was Carrie Underwood.

      But she looks good here.

    • Alyssa

      What a beautiful dress!!!

    • Imasewsure

Don’t love the Heather Locklear hair but that dress is gorgeous!! And it fits!! Love it

      • Shawn EH

        Real Housewives hair. Unimaginative.

    • elzatelzabelz

Love the dress. I’m not 100% onboard with the hair, but the dress is so fab that I don’t mind at all.

    • filmcricket

Stunning gown, but the styling just turns it into “strapless prom dress.” Also, as this girl gets older it becomes more and more obvious that she should be playing young Samantha, not young Carrie.

      • littlestars

It’s embarrassing to admit I actually watch the Carrie Diaries, but the actress who plays young Samantha is so spot on, it’s eerie. The two of them together capture the Carrie/Samantha dynamic pretty successfully.

    • MzzPants

Would love to see this on a pale skinned brunette.

    • luluransom

Loevely dress. Hair: Heather Locklear, the Melrose Place years (round 1).

      • joancarol

        Yes!

    • prisma

I guess I’m the exception because I hate the dress? It reminds me of the 1960s-era drapes that were in the living room of the house my family bought in 1973 and couldn’t afford to replace until the early 1990s. The previous owners described their style as “Spanish” but I thought they looked more “bordello.” I’m totally having flashbacks right now.

      • kimmeister

I don’t hate the dress, but I don’t care for the fabric at all. The scale of the flowers is too big, and the vertical embroidered lines don’t enhance anything.

    • jw_ny

The dress is really great. I find nothing about her that stands out from the rest of the pack of pretty, young, blonde actresses tho.

    • Jacob Bowen

She is BEAUTIFUL (and looks awesome in this outfit)! I would like her makeup if she had lips, but her hair (in the photo under the model) looks like she was electrocuted…

    • Neil

Every time I see her name I think it’s a typo.

    • Snailstsichr

I’m glad she hoicked it up more than the model did, but I’m missing a statement piece of jewelry.

    • Dagney

It looks good on her, but I really think this dress belongs to Julianna Margulies.

      • conniemd

Agree. It’s a dress for an older woman with unconventional and not bland blond girls. Julianna would so rock it.

    • paintedfish

never mind lil’ carrie, she’ll always be violet beauregarde to me.

    • littlestars

Love the dress and make-up. I think a messy side braid and some earrings in a contrasting color (maybe bright green) would have made the look.

    • Trickytrisha

Gorgeous dress, but for someone else possibly? She reminds me of Jane Krakowski, not necessarily a good thing.

    • KT

      Great dress. But… THAT HAIR!!!!!!!

    • drdirection

She looks like a Barbie to me

    • quiltrx

I like this dress for her! But the hair is WAY Donna Mills/Linda Evans/Joan Van Ark soap opera…just bad.
      That’s a pretty ring!

    • Rebecca Bledsoe

The hair and makeup are Heather Locklear-ing her head, but she still looks adorable. The dress is a fantastic choice, LOVE it!

      • elemspbee

Omg, i was just about to write heather locklear 2.0.

    • Betsy

It’s so hard to believe Violet Blueberry from the Willie Wonka movie is that grown up and that beautiful. I don’t care about that heavy dress. I am so distracted by her perfect face.

    • elemspbee

Agreed. Face and hair–fail. Wish they painted her face to match the drama of the dress. What a fabulously high drama print/embroidery.

    • yethica

I kinda wish the dress were a cocktail/knee length. Can’t say why, but there it is…

    • andi56

It’s so nice to see a girl with a properly fitted bodice, without the boob-spillover-effect that rash girls often adopt, thinking they look lush and classy.

    • Sunraya

I love necklaces with strapless gowns, and hair up. I love the bling!

    • http://www.lippsisters.com/ Deborah Lipp

I am in love with her eyelashes. I want to cuddle her eyelashes and whisper sweet nothings to them.
