Anna Faris and Chris Pratt at “The LEGO Movie” Premiere

Posted on February 04, 2014

Anna Faris and Chris Pratt attend the premiere of “The LEGO Movie” at Regency Village Theatre in Westwood, California. Anna Faris is wearing a Tanya Taylor ‘Corinne’ crop top in an ivory and black gingham print with oversized embellished jewels and the matching ‘Blaire’ skirt paired with Kurt Geiger heels.

Love this outfit on her! Seems really appropriate to the event as well.

    • http://www.snoskred.org/ Snoskred

Was this red carpet conducted in the immediate area of a solar flare?

Jeebus, that is some sunny day. I need sunglasses to look at these pictures.. :)

    • filmcricket

I wish the dress were in one piece, but she looks really cute otherwise. Venue-appropriate.

      • kim bunchalastnames

if i had those abs, i’d bare my belleh too.

    • Anna

Add all the dollar store beads you want, it still looks like a picnic tablecloth and napkins.

The idea of it is cute though, for her and for the event.

    • marlie

SHE looks cute. The outfit is a little twee, but it suits the event and her personality. I also love her shoes. HE looks just any other dudebro hanging out with his friends. His clothes look rumpled, and his blacks don’t match.

      She: 8.5/10
      He: 4/10
      Average: 6.25

She should smack him for bringing down their average so much.

    • sagecreek

I wouldn’t call that houndstooth. I’d call that gingham. And gingham, even for this movie, is a Twee Bridge Too Far.

      • http://www.tomandlorenzo.com/ Tom and Lorenzo

You’re right. That’s what happens when you post the caption without reading it thoroughly. Crazy day. Fixed : )

    • formerlyAnon

He’s fine. Very Everyman. Or, “Everyman who spends 2 hours a day working out.”

She wears this ensemble well. This ensemble is highly questionable. Beaded schmatta doesn’t add anything but an air of oddity, for me. I’d like it better without, but that skirt doesn’t read casual and to me midriff baring in the daytime will always be casual. (In other news, I made that top for Senior Class Trip to Daytona Beach in 1970-mumble. Mine was green & white gingham check and the straps were narrower.)

      • sagecreek

Mine was aqua and white with little embroidered bees on it. I KNOW!

    • MilaXX

She looks cute. Much more appropriate than Elizabeth Banks. He took the easy route.

    • Sobaika

Would’ve liked her outfit more if it were a one-piece. He is DELISH.

      • Evan

His shoes certainly aren’t delish though…

      • Meg0GayGuys6

Isn’t he?! They’re probably the celebrity couple I’d most like to have over for dinner… then drinks.

    • LCTerrill

Hate it. On both of them.

    • Jessica Freeman

Don’t like the crop top, it doesn’t seem to work as a set, but would be better as a dress.

    • Kent Roby

They both look cute and relaxed, and I’m glad to see that he has held on to his post-weight-loss hotness. I’ll add them to my fantasy “Couples I’d like to invite over for dinner” list!

    • Karen Belgrad

OMG… they still sell the Bedazzler?

    • http://foodycat.blogspot.co.uk/ foodycatAlicia

The beading looks like one of the ideas for customising a tshirt that Dolly used to run in the late 80s. He could have improved things dramatically with a white tshirt instead of the faded black.

      • Anna

The beading looks really cheap. And the customized t-shirt you mention sounds like one of the many fashion transgressions I committed in the 80s.

        • http://foodycat.blogspot.co.uk/ foodycatAlicia

Didn’t we all? I committed such crimes against denim.

          • Anna

So true. This t-shirt may have had a unicorn AND a rainbow on it as well. At least my excuse is that I was 10. The girls who’ve resurrected it at Coachella on the other hand…

      • RebeccaKW

Him: I agree, and I think possibly different shoes. I have no issues with what is appearing to be motorcycle boots, but it would elevate this from casual-casual to dressy casual if he’d worn some sort of dress shoe.

      • demidaemon

I will say that I like that the beading calls back to Legos, which seems appropriate for the film.

    • deelup

tablecloth dress with seatbelt straps. her cuteness makes it work a bit.

    • Constant Reader

Anna: the combination of gingham + ginormous faux gems + crop top = one element too much. Maybe as a dress, or the top with a solid skirt.

Chris: he’s relying on his hotness (of which he has plenty) to distract us from an outfit that looks like he slept in it after wearing it to a Superbowl party. It almost worked on me, I give him that.

    • Danielle

I appreciate any man willing to dress in one solid color so as to let his partner shine.

      • In_Stitches

I do as well, but it’s his movie premiere. Shouldn’t he be the one to step up?

        • demidaemon

I didn’t know that. Obviously, the answer is yes.

    • Janet B

She always reminds me of Nellie Oleson. I love gingham but here it looks like a little girl’s outfit.
Did he know he was going to the premiere?

    • BendinIntheWind

Wow, this may be the cutest I’ve ever seen her!

    • Stella Zawistowski

Were all the ladystars told to wear textured Lego bits on their clothes, or is this just stylist hive-mind?

    • PastryGoddess

She’s going to a cocktail party, he’s going to hang out with the bros.

I feel really stupid for asking this.

The reason they keep posing together is because they are in a relationship/married right?

      • estella_nyc

“The reason they keep posing together is because they are in a relationship/married right?”
LOL! Yes, married with a child.

        • http://foodycat.blogspot.co.uk/ foodycatAlicia

Or ARE THEY? Maybe they are taking T.Lo’s advice and keeping themselves in the public eye with a faux relationship? ;)

      • marlie

That’s the biggest disconnect with them re: this look. They’re clearly going to separate events. HE is going to one where he didn’t expect his picture to be taken.

    • Jenna621

I also wish the dress was one piece, but I think it is cute for the venue. Chris, I adore you, but you couldn’t have, at the very least, found non-faded black jeans and taken your cell phone out of your back pocket?

    • mcbishop

      Cute, cute! Like them both.

    • jen

She looks adorable and he is delicious, even with the mismatched blacks.

    • acevedob

Why does everyone in this movie/movie premiere look like a douche?

      • http://foodycat.blogspot.co.uk/ foodycatAlicia

        Way harsh Tai.

        • acevedob

What do you think she’s more like a full-on Monet?

          • http://foodycat.blogspot.co.uk/ foodycatAlicia

No, I just don’t think the three people I have seen at this premiere look remotely douchey. I don’t necessarily like what they are wearing, but they don’t have the aura of douche to me.

    • wisdomy

That dress(ish) if you must, OR those shoes, but not together, dear.

    • Imasewsure

It’s so sweet that he brought his 11 year old daughter to this event… oh wait…

    • ojosazules

He looks like he threw on everything he had in the back seat of his car that was black.

    • In_Stitches

I mean, it’s the Lego Movie, so he doesn’t have to slap on a tux and stroll on down the carpet, but come on! A rumpled Banana Republic sweater with a faded t underneath? Hell, Andy Dwyer would know better. Between Jurassic World and Guardians of the Galaxy, his career is about to take off. This isn’t the kind of presentation that will help him keep that foothold.

    • AzSportsGirl

Love her outfit and the way the embellishments subtly call out to actual legos without being too literally.. just.. NO to the belly. Would have liked a more fun shoe on her. Pony taile is wkind of perfect. Him. Dad Jeans – Clodhopper shoes – not even trying just pisses me off.

      • sojourneryouth

I so agree. Here she is in a killer outfit that masterfully evokes Legos without being too literal, wearing fabulous pumps (though I would have chosen more casual shoes with this outfit and for this event, gotta admit that they are indeed killa), and he looks like he just put on whatever passed the sniff test. I kinda want to kick him in the face.

    • Diego!

They should have worn LEGO outfits… wouldn’t that be fun? Anyway, she looks pretty chic. Her make up sucks for such a sunny day. He looks as a fan taking a picture with one of his idols :P

    • Nika E

Her dress is stupid and I hate to say it but she needs more makeup. Whoever did her face in HouseBunny needs to be her right hand man. He looks like the typical bro. A sexy bro with the body of a god but also like he just ate 6 Slim Jims and chugged a Mnt Dew before coming in. If he plans on being a movie star he gonna need to step up his game.

    • LeelaST

Would be so much more chic if it were a dress. The bare midriff just doesn’t belong on any RC on anyone. In the first & last photos the camera in the background makes it look as though she has a hair bow!

      • boweryboy

        I saw that too.

    • http://tvblogster.blogspot.com Boop

Dress? What dress? I only see a hunk in a black tee and jeans. Sorry I can’t contribute something more valuable, but Chris Pratt….swoon.

    • allcapsERINN

I don’t know. Whatever. I hate all these people for not being freezing right now. So tired of being cold. It’s making me violent and hard to be around.

      • judybrowni

Still too cold — even in L.A. — for crop top, sleeveless mini in frigging February.

Everyone I see out my window is wearing sweaters, long pants, and boots (if not coats.)

    • boweryboy

They look like they’re going to two separate events: She’s the instructor for a non-credit community college home ec/ bedazzle/ sewing class, and he’s headed to Home Depot to pick up more lumber for his pitbull Daisy’s doghouse he’s building.

      • demidaemon

I know the people at my CC are often inappropriately dressed, but this would definitely be a bridge too far.

    • another_laura

I dunno, guys – bedazzled black & white gingham? bleh.

      • Gatto Nero

        Seriously.

    • rissa42210

      Too on-point.

    • Cheryl

She looks cute, and it suits the event, but I have a gingham fetish, so it’s hard for me not to love it. Perhaps, looked at too much Bridgette Bardot photos when I was a child?
I thought he was kind of a pudgy guy, but obviously I was wrong. Btw, I hope they popped on some sunglasses after the photos, it looks uncomfortably bright, almost painful.

    • Melanie

dayummmmm, her legs are killer! i am officially inspired to get my butt to yoga class forthwith.

    • MissFern

My view is skewed because I love them both so much, but I think they look adorable.

    • jilly_d

I Love Chris Pratt but that outfit is not looking good. However, his bod is looking GREAT lately so……..sorry what were we talking about?

    • Sophie

She looks very cute, though I don’t like crop tops. And I hate his two mismatched collars.

    • colorjunky

I think if your hair color matches the plastic lego color, it’s time for a redo on the hair do, n’est pas?

    • Dagney

      Be dazzled by the BEDAZZLER!

    • judybrowni

It’s frigging cold (or comparatively so) here on the westside of Los Angeles.

Who the fuck wears sleeveless and tummy bare cotton outfits in frigging February?

Idiot actors who get designer duds for free, one season ahead — but still…

    • Jonquil

I’m having an incredibly hard time caring about what he’s wearing. Andy Dwyer is looking finer than frog hair.

    • crash1212

I think that’s the best he’s ever looked. Ever. As for little Miss – I just can’t with the hair and the no lipstick. What goes on with her head seems to kill anything happening below…although this isn’t terrible.

    • Roz

His outfit is a big ol’ “screw y’all”. Not because it is SO casual but because it looks like he wore it yesterday and picked it up off the floor this morning. From underneath the dog.Not cool, Chris.

      She looks great.

    • alyce1213

I’d prefer her outfit as one-piece, but I think it’s sweet and event-appropriate.
He’s a gorgeous man, but he needed to step it up a notch, just a little.

    • nycfan

Not a bare midriff person but she looks very cute nonetheless. He = no effort. Also, where are the guys with bare midriff? With all the work they do to get six packs?

    • Gatto Nero

Her shoes are too formal for this borderline tween look.

    • Jacob Bowen

Is the crew neck with the v-neck sweater a thing…? Cause it looks STUPID. He would just look so much better WITHOUT clothes!

    • http://asskickingadviser.com/ Ass Kicking Adviser

Ok, apparently we need more events like this because between Anna and Banksy, we are getting a very much needed breath of fresh air.

    • ThaliaMenninger

Personal bests for these two while arriving together.

    • mariahwg

      They should swap shirts.

    • MissusBee

Any minute now it’s going to go full circle and they’ll start making Lego celebrities, with a red Lego carpet and a Lego limo. Throw in a Lego TLo to Lego-judge it all and the universe is done.

    • hmb

The two piece dress looks like something I slaved over in 8th grade home ec…

    • Pterodactyl111

That dress could loose the sparkles.

    • quiltrx

Her outfit is pretty much what I would consider appropriate for a Lego Movie event.

    • macwell

She looks like the old Britney…:(

    • ElifSimge

That looks so much like Prada-of-late aesthetic.

    • heartsleeve

Her dress reminds me of a 90s teen movie.

    • http://www.merradywickes.wordpress.com/ MissWix

Give Kiernan Shipka her dress back.

    • demidaemon

This seems a little skimpy for a kids’ movie, though I do like the appropriateness of the appliques. He’s basically forgettable.

    • dschubba

My brain can see wrinkles upon wrinkles upon wrinkles, but my, uh, not-brain regions think he’s kind of killing the game from the waist up.

I like Anna Faris, but she’s dressed like a 90s Barbie doll.
