Love the dress, but the wig is too wiggy for me.

      • Sarah

It is like it’s for a person with a much bigger head. Strange…

        • 3boysful

I like the bangs–it’s the side volume that kills an otherwise great look. (Oh, with a little more color in the makeup, too.)

    • The Versatile Chef

I hope she’s paying her stylist well because Octavia always looks just right.

    • sugarkane105

Girl, That is Not Your Wig.

      • lillyvonschtupp

That pretty much sums it all up.

      • e jerry powell

It’s a double-wig rig that a drag queen knocked out in about fifteen minutes.

    • alyce1213

The dress and shoes are lovely, but not the wig. She (and this dress) deserves a better hairdo.

    • zenobar

Octavia, you’re amazing. But that may be the wiggiest wig that ever wigged.

      • willworktomorrow

        My thoughts exactly.

      • Jaeda Laurez

        All synthetic everything.

      • NYCGlamourpuss

Yup. It’s all fun and games till you get to her noggin.

    • Donyelle

Face is beat for days! Love it! A little sparkle, a little va-va boom.

    • Sarah

See, she can wear a non-Shoji and still rock it. We shall not speak of the hair-hat, except to say “nay.”

    • nannypoo

Once again she has found the perfect dress and her makeup as usual is beautiful. Except for the giant wig she looks amazing.

    • TAGinMO

Just as men’s hands should not be in their pockets, women’s hands should not be clasped in front of them. Hands at the side and shoulders back, dear.

      Great dress, though.

      • kimmeister

Inevitably, their hands clasp directly in front of the crotch. Not a good look.

        • ampg

At my wedding rehearsal, the priest told the whole wedding party, “No fig leaf hands!”

          • kimmeister

Ha, that is an apt description!

    • teensmom99

OMG, I am also not a small person and I have 2 versions of that dress. I hope I look almost as good!

      • 3boysful

I think the dress is really flattering to her bust, although you might not expect it with the draped fabric. So good eye for you!

      • Constant Reader

It’s a great looking dress and I’m sure you look fabulous in that style!

    • Nika E

Everything is great except the hair. Its not bad but it could be better. She looks good though.

    • MzzPants

Somebody needs to kidnap Lena & Zosia, box them up, and send them to whoever works with Octavia. Along with a sack of money. She’s got a real-girl body and always looks great, even on a ‘whiteboard’ day.

    • Shawn EH

      Time for a new wig.

    • KateShouldBeWorking

It’s fine but I expect so much better from her.

      • Clueless_Jock

She looks more regal in Tadashi Shoji.

    • https://twitter.com/Gayer_Than_Thou Gayer Than Thou

I believe that is store-bought hair, and I believe she should take it back to the store where she bought it.

    • Rand Ortega

A little dull. The dress fits wonderfully, however, it’s on the generic side. The booms are a bit too…boomy?
BUT– whoever did her makeup should continue & never stop. She looks 10 years younger.

      • kimmeister

Yeah, it’s like a crow stuck its butt on her forehead.

        • Rand Ortega

          SPEW. ALERT!

    • marlie

OK, I’ve been afraid to say this, but I’m going to just let it out… I think Octavia dresses too old for her age. There, I said it. The dress is fine, and the wig is fine, but they seem to age her so. She’s 43, but looks a decade older. It’s not at all that she looks bad – she doesn’t – but she could even improve this looks with some killer accessories.

      • Kent Roby

Age-appropriateness is always a valid issue on this site; don’t be afraid, Dear!

    • MilaXX

It’s serviceable, but a little funeral looking.

    • boweryboy

The moment I looked at this The B-52’s “Wig” started playing in my head. Damn, gurl… you can do better than that.

    • In_Stitches

She got the biggest hurdle right-the dress is great. She needs to ditch those shoes like a bad habit and get her jeweler on the line because she needs some gems, stat.

    • Kent Roby

She is mere moments away from singing “Clang, clang, clang, went the trolley” with the Sweeney Sisters.

    • Trickytrisha

Somewhere under all that hedge of faux hair is the Olivia we all know and love. Great shape on the dress. She needs more sparkle.

    • Imasewsure

Box up the wig but keep the dress… a little monochromatic but nice

    • Verascity

She looks fantastic to me. This may even be a personal best in the non-evening-gown department.

      • bellafigura1

        Oh, I’m with you,

    • Judy_S

I think she looks particularly beautiful here. Wig or not.

    • Sunraya

I like everything, but that upsweep in the front of the dress. Otherwise, she looks lovely.

    • http://kingderella.tumblr.com/ kingderella

Not the most avant-garde look ever, but she looks lovely.
Love her hair and make-up, and her smile.

    • LeelaST

Lovely…don’t know about the white nail polish though (quibble.) I’m wig ignorant, would never have occurred to me.

    • http://weirdinedgewise.blogspot.com ONEWEIRDWORD

Gorgeous. I would love that dress.

    • butterflysunita

      She looks lovely.

    • littlevase

I’m really surprised at all of the dress praise. It’s so….basic off the rack dressy section of Macy’s. And matronly.

    • shopgirl716

I would very much like to own that dress.

    • quiltrx

Great dress…don’t care for the shoes or the wig. If it looks like a hat, it’s too much of a wig, girl.

    • http://frankbettecenter.org/ sleah_in_norcal

she looks lovely, but a little color would go a long way towards making it more memorable.

    • Garcia Loca

Miss Olivia. I love you. That is all.

    • EEKstl

She looks great, but I would have done the proverbial pop of color in the shoe department. But I quibble…great dress.

    • kategs

This woman knows totally how to dress her body and look terrific and appropriate. I too however am not liking the wig.
