Is she wearing a black G-string? I don’t think loose hair is the right choice for a lace dress.

    • formerlyAnon

I . . . kind of like this?!? I think with an elaborate updo, I’d have gone all the way and said I like it.

I have to sit down and collect myself. I was just positive about sheer lace.

      • Sobaika

Agreed, I’m liking this a lot more than I should. The belt helps, and also the fact that she is an absolute stunner.

    • Glam Dixie

The hair is a little casual but there’s no denying that she looks pretty. I don’t know, I guess I’m a little underwhelmed.

    • KinoEye

I’m getting married in the morning, ding dong, the bells are gonna chime…

      • demidaemon

I don’t know about marriage in a sheer lace dress. It might imply some not so great things about the bride.

        • Dorothy_on_the_yellow_brick_rd

Actually, when I first saw this dress and how it was styled on the model…I thought what a beautiful wedding dress! If I were as tall as the model, I would get married in this sheer lace dress–over nude underwear, of course–with a short, shoulder-grazing veil, a simple bouquet of calla lilies, and a heart-shaped diamond ring.

    • E2_Remote

Really not feeling it for the dress made out of Great Granny Webster’s lace curtains. But she’s just SO cute, have had a girl crush on her ever since 28 Days Later, so I can’t say anything too negative about her.

      • MoHub

This looks a lot like a long version of the dress Georgina Chapman wore on last week’s PRAS.

        • E2_Remote

Naomie’s dress does have a Marchesa vibe to it, no doubt

          • d4divine

Not enough bling for Marcheese a

        • kimmeister

I thought Georgina looked fairly ridiculous in that getup.

    • @Biting Panda

Fine. Pretty actually. Insert table cloth joke, mention exhaustion with lace, etc. But she isn’t offending the eye, which is saying something in a semi transparent frock.

    • gabbilevy

I am counting the minutes until stylists and designers get over their allergy to lining.

      • rkdgal

Amen, sister. SO up to here with sheer.

    • teensmom99

Ummm–how about “no one else could look as good as her in this unlined dress.” Meant to be damning with faint praise.

    • marlie

A very pretty dress. It would be gorgeous if it were lined. Naomie’s hair and makeup always look pretty flawless, but I wish she’d try something *new* every once in a while.

      • SugarSnap108

Yep, it’s just missing the ever-elusive lining. That, an up-do.

    • bellafigura1

I love it, but the hair drags the whole thing down. She’s a cutie, for sure.

    • In_Stitches

The Farrah hair is more than a bit dated and the black belt a visual thud that takes the dress to ‘first communion’ territory.

    • NYCGlamourpuss

She needs to have panties that match her skin tone, and the hair and makeup need to be a little more special for the dress.

    • boweryboy

So close. This could have been a fabulous look if it were lined.

    • decormaven

Gorgeous gal, glorious earrings. Pity the lining’s missing from the gown.

    • http://www.ellenciompi.com/ NurseEllen

I would have preferred an updo, and I think the earrings need to be a few layers shorter. Unsure about the belt. Maybe a silver one would have been better? This is inoffensive but not wonderful for her.

    • Ashley Ellen Wilson

oh that is beautiful :) I like her hair down–it gives her a softness that is appropriate with this romantic of a dress

    • jspark

That lace looks old fashioned and itchy.

    • filmcricket

Lady: pretty. Dress: dreadful. Hair: Farrah.

    • Imasewsure

I don’t usually like this kind of look but it’s great on the model… completely forgettable and kind of low-key tacky on NH

    • butterflysunita

      This isn’t working.

    • E. D.

Is 70s hair fully back now?

      • Tatiana Luján

I hope so, my hair is super voluminous.

        • E. D.

So is mine, but mine is also curly and not loose Farrah Fawcett curly.

    • PeggyOC

Nightgown and 80′s hair go home. You’re drunk.

    • Snailstsichr

The earrings are to die for. She can just send them my way and I’ll go out and get an up-do.

      • kimmeister

They are MEGA. Maybe not the right choice for this dress or hairdo, but awesome in and of themselves.

    • Deedles

Hmmmm… as fabulous as she is, if no one else gets a free pass on the cocker spaniel hair, neither does she!

    • SRQkitten

Over the sheer lace over granny panties, thongs or whatever. This trend needs to go the way of exposed zippers, illusion netting and the other items that can stay in fashion hell.

    • crash1212

This sheer trend…when will it die?

    • princessricky

i can spot a naeem khan confectionery concoction from a mile away… wish it were lined but otherwise i love it

    • barbarienne

I wish she were working the dress a bit more instead of just standing there. OTOH, that might oversell it, since the dress is very busy. I’m so conflicted. I think I just don’t want to like a sheer lace dress but she looks good in it.

    • MilaXX

eh, it’s okay. I wish she had done something different with the hair though

    • Trickytrisha

So freaking sick of the sheer dress over visible undies thing. Obviously celebs love it, ’cause just about every single female on the red carpet has worn them. This is a perfect example of why they shouldn’t. Apart from the seriously sad hair, she’s so beautiful…if I squint and pretend her panties don’t make her look like she’s “rocking a 70′s vibe”.

    • http://foodycat.blogspot.co.uk/ foodycatAlicia

The only thing that saves this is that she’s not a white woman. This dowdy dishrag dress is elevated by her skintone.

    • http://kingderella.tumblr.com/ kingderella

I like. I think she looks soft and romantic, and ever-so-slightly dowdy in a fashionable way.
Perhaps this is what Florence was going for with that “My clothes are evaporating!”-look she showed up in a while ago?

    • Jacob Bowen

Trying to work up the energy to scream, “Just say no to sheer!” but she looks FABULOUS here.

    • J. Preposterice

I think it *is* lined, it’s just that the lining is also sheer/semi-sheer. Look at her legs; unless she’s developed the first ever case of skirt-shaped legs in history, the dress is definitely lined in, I think, illusion in her skin tone.

    • Pterodactyl111

I would be 1000% on board with this if the bottom was opaque. As it is, I am only 100% on board.

    • ankali

She looks lovely, but I much prefer the Frida styling for this dress.

    • quiltrx

I’m normally crazy about Naeem Khan, but I has a disappoint on this one. It looks much better from a distance than up close on a real lady. Maybe it needed a pretty pastel lining to soften the lace, which seems to have “hard edges” to the upper part of the design (to my eye, anyway).

    • http://frankbettecenter.org/ sleah_in_norcal

      where’s idris? what dress?

    • lillyvonschtupp

It might sound hoochie, but she could lose the belt and have the dress fitted a tad closer to her shape. But what do I know?
