This looks like an ad for the old video game Crazy Taxi.

      • sleepycat

I REMEMBER THAT GAME!! Not that I played it of course.

    • Slade Thunderdragon

      A$AP ROCKY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

      • Sobaika

        Talk about random.

        • JosephLamour

He seems like a pretty good model, actually.

    • @Biting Panda

      I spy overalls.

      • zenobar

Don’t panic. They’re merely a hologram sent by an evil overlord.

      • http://foodycat.blogspot.co.uk/ foodycatAlicia

And is that a denim skirt?

        • Ginger

I keep looking but I’m not seeing it. Which picture?

          • http://foodycat.blogspot.co.uk/ foodycatAlicia

Second one down. On closer examination I think it’s the overalls again. I didn’t see the bib first time around.

      • Ginger

Every time I see denim overalls, I have flashbacks to being pregnant with my first son and this one pair of denim short overalls (say that with me, y’all) that I wore constantly. *shudder* There are pictures of me in them somewhere.

        • Rand Ortega

Can’t hate the comfy, Doll. I bet you looked smashing!

          • Ginger

Bless you, sweet one! My love for you just grew. ;)

        • filmcricket

Hey, I wore them with my Doc Martens in the 90s. I thought I looked incredibly cool. I am going to guess that I did not.

          • Ginger

We all did, my friend. It was just that these were denim PREGNANCY overalls…worn with over-sized t-shirts underneath. There’s nothing quite like that to make one look like an oompa loompa.

            • Laughingworld

I think I still have my maternity tee shirt and my daughter has graduated college! It was from a swanky shop and hand painted, but still.

          • Sarah

I still have mine. Oversized dark wash full length, worn with kneesocks and a tank top, rolled up. But I’m country. And gangsta. And I don’t wear them anymore ;)

            • Ginger

Oh sweet Jesus that made me laugh! I can identify with you!

      • kimmeister

At one point in my life, I had hot pink ones by Ralph Lauren. I must to confess to being older than 15 at the time.

    • Anna

I was joking with a friend not too long ago about how we used to wear our overalls like that when we were 11. After I show him this ad, I’m going to suggest we hit up our favourite ’90s dance night on Friday.

    • DinahR

I swear this almost exact photoshoot was done on ANTM or that other short lived supermodel show w/guys and gals competing together… I think it was on Bravo? Anyway, cute clothes. Love color.

      • DaringMiss

Agreed. That was my first thought.

      • mlle

        Make Me a Supermodel

    • zenobar

Giant navy-and-white sneakers in Pic 4 are giving me literal flashbacks to Dewdrops In The Garden. Lady Kier realness!

    • ralish

      Um… denim overalls??? What??

I am also seriously thinking about getting a pair of black glasses a la the blonde model. However, I am not blonde, nor a model, so perhaps I shall rethink.

      • marlie

Don’t rethink it! Go somewhere and try them on in different shapes and sizes. There’s likely to be one that suits your face and hairstyle. And don’t go alone – take a friend who you trust to tell you the truth about how they look.

    • MilaXX

It’s hysterically funny how hard these models are trying to be “cool”. and failing miserably.

      • Rand Ortega

If you lean back any further you’re going to break something.

      • Herr Meier

Rocky actually looks cool. as always

    • Blair Sylvester

This is New York right? I mean I would never guess

      • filmcricket

I’m trying to think of what the set design reminds me of. Partly the bright colours of “Do The Right Thing,” partly the opening credits to “Fresh Prince” … but neither of those are quite right.

        • Blair Sylvester

It feels like glee does a musical number in the big city to me

        • decormaven

Looks like a cross between Fame and Buster Poindexter’s “Hot Hot Hot.”

        • Corsetmaker

          Fame meets Sesame street?

    • mlle

That last shot looks like the poster for a remake of Clueless, but maybe I just think that because this shoot screams 1994.

    • ScarlettHarlot

I like it! The girl in the navy dress & yellow coat is serving up some Miss Phryne Fisher realness. (Ugh I can’t wait to get the second season in the US)

      • Garcia Loca

I love Miss Fisher! I introduced the series to all my friends. And yes, no-second-season in the US is some bullshit.

      • JauntyJohn

YES! Miss Fisher is the bomb. Those clothes! Those HATS! That ridiculous gold gun she keeps pulling out of her bag! The production values are through the roof and the stories are pleasant confections – light but not stupid. When I find out when Season 2 is hitting the US I will probably make an Advent Calendar to count it down.

        • CelandineM

I freely admit to drooling uncontrollably over Miss Fisher’s wardrobe. A friend of mine in Australia mocks my love of the show but I care not! pleasant confection is a great description.

          • ScarlettHarlot

Good, so we’re all in agreement that we need to petition the Uncles to do style recaps for Season 2? (and maybe retroactive season 1?) Phryne is diviiiiine, and her clothing is unmatched!

            • JauntyJohn

I just learned that Season 3 has been neither cancelled nor greenlit (greenlighted?) yet. If you Google you can find the petition on Move On (I think it’s on Move On) requesting the ABC goes for a S3. Interestingly it has five times the minimum signatures required and has people from literally all over the world signing it. I would LOVE it if TLo did any commentary whatsoever on Phryne, but although she is definitely right up their alley(s) I think, I suspect they are only up for shows in their first airing… but it would be heaven to have them weigh in, yes.

            • ScarlettHarlot

I would love a Mad Style type post, so we can all gush over her silk robes and dashing coats, and the hats! Oh the hats!

    • Corsetmaker

What is that denim thing! Ew! give her some legwarmers and she could break into a Kids from Fame routine right there on the taxi roof!

    • YoungSally

Total car commercial from the 80s. I wore the brand a lot in the mid 90s….but it didn’t have such a “youthful” vibe….now I would look like I had lost my mind.

    • http://www.youtube.com/user/TheOctocornNetwork International Model

      Are those DKNY Overalls?

    • ballerinawithagun

Denim overalls??? Hated them back then, hate them even more now. Yes, even New Yorkers have succumbed to dressing horribly. And those stiff platform sneaker??? I love my wedge sneakers but these are atrocious!
Love the dresses and the heels.
I do like the intense, saturated colors of the photo shoot though.

    • SugarSnap108

Please tell me baggy, pleated denim overalls (or denim overalls) are not going to be a thing.

    • marlie

I guess the ice-skater-ish dresses are cute, but I’m not in love with the rest. And I’ll be pissed if those overalls show up on the red carpet.

    • Tatiana Luján

I don’t covet any of the clothes.

      • deelup

That’s what I was thinking is the problem with this. I don’t want to be those people, be in that place, do what they’re doing or wear what they’re wearing. And it’s not pretty or creative enough to otherwise appreciate.

    • jw_ny

      2014!? Really?!

    • KinoEye

Very ANTM. The one outstanding thing about this for me is Cara Delevinge’s eyebrows. Weird, I know. But I love the dark bushiness. I’ve embraced my incorrigible caterpillars, and it’s nice to see a model of that caliber do the same.

    • KayEmWhy

      No thank-you.

    • boweryboy

      No.

    • butterflysunita

This isn’t really selling the clothes for me. Too much going on.

    • quiltrx

The ‘fit and flare’ skirts are really cute if I were young and skinny enough for such things. I like the black/white sweatshirty thing that doesn’t seem to go with anything else.
If this shoot was meant to look cheesy…success!

    • shopgirl716

I think this is targeted to a demographic about 25 years younger than this aging Gen X’er. I’m not feeling it, but who cares? It has an 80’s, cartoony vibe to it that the youngsters might like. On the other hand, the DKNY logo’d coat is tacky as hell.

    • LipstickForPigs

Dear designers. please stop trying to introduce loaves of bread as the next shoe trend. Jesus.

      • kimmeister

I like feet to still look like feet when they’re shod.

    • understateddiva

Is there a new show on the CW I didn’t know about?

    • Kent Roby

It’s only been a hot minute since I was last in NYC, but apparently all hell has broken loose, with gangs tagging taxis with graffiti and rebellious kids in 80’s fashions jumping all over those taxis. That DKNY-emblazoned ensemble is hiddy. I mean, like, groddy to the max (in keeping with the theme).

    • Erica_Vuitton

I’m sorry (to anyone who loves her) but I just don’t think Cara is a good model. I know she’s the IT girl right now but she always looks the same to me. Same face, same bored pose. Give me Karlie and her ever changing look. wish I could actually see the blue dress that looks super cute… everything else I just feel too old for… and I’m 29.

    • Carly Clement

I love this campaign! It looks fun and funky! And seeing as this collection is aimed at people in my age demographic I think they have done an amazing job!

    • Clash D

…none of the models look invested in this photo shoot at all. Their previous ad campaign was waaaay better, at least there was a real sense of movement going on – unlike this posed, pretentious, lifeless set of photos. DKNY needs to tear these up and do a reshoot, for real.
