2014 SAG Awards Red Carpet Rundown – Part 1

Posted on January 21, 2014

All right, celebs. Line up in a single file so we can judge you more efficiently.

Lesley Nicol, Kevin Doyle, Phyllis Logan, and David Robb

Loving Lesley Nicol’s coat. Mrs. Hughes got herself quite the blowout, didn’t she? Oh Molesley. Get your pants hemmed, you sad sack.

Anna Chlumsky in Sophie Theallet

There appear to be a couple weird bumps and pulls but otherwise, this looks great on her.

Hannah Simone in Marchesa

Pretty but a little dull for pictures.

Emma Thompson in William Vintage

Of course we knew if she ever took our advice to get rid of her painful shoes, she’d wind up picking something pretty bad from a style front. We suppose we should be grateful they’re not Uggs.

That skirt is weird.

Holly Hunter in Randi Rahm

She looks great, but we loved her most for talking to Giuliana like she was a barely functional moron.

Isla Fisher in Oscar de la Renta

Old school Hollywood glam. Could’ve used some color.

Anna Gunn in Monique Lhuillier

Simple; great color on her; gets the job done. We wonder if the Breaking Bad cast isn’t eager to move on.

Laura Carmichael in Vionnet

Normally, the lack of color would bother us greatly, but this is a really beautiful gown. Not loving the hair, though.

Jennifer Garner in Max Mara

Simple and classic. We can’t hate, but we’re just now starting to realize how boring and safe this red carpet was.

Kaley Cuoco in Vera Wang

See what we mean? Pretty color, though.

Julia Louis-Dreyfus in Monique Lhuillier

It’s a lot better than that Mother of the Bride dress she was sporting at the Critics Choice Awards.

Kathy Griffin in Antonio Berardi

 Attagirl.

Mindy Kaling in David Meister

Love this.

Mariah Carey in Saint Laurent

 Grow up.

Elisabeth Rohm in Marchesa

Buttercream icing.

Matthew McCounaghey in Dolce&Gabbana and Camila Alves in Donna Karan Atelier

We’re not sure if yellow’s really her color, but that’s a spectacular dress for her. For such a skinny guy, it’s a mystery as to why his suits and tuxes always seem to be a bit snug. Great jacket, though.

Mayim Bialik

Dear GOD.

How on earth did something like this even happen?

Michelle Dockery in J. Mendel

Hate the neckline. Hate the whole top half, really.

Morena Baccarin in Monique Lhuillier

Serving up Mommy Rack. She knows what she’s doing. Great color.

Rose Leslie in Temperley London

 YOU KNOW NOTHING, ROSE LESLIE.

Sofia Vergara in Donna Karan Atelier

The necklace is way too much with it, but the gown is spectacular.

Sophia McShera in David Meister

Hair and makeup look amazing. We’re not entirely sold on the dress, though.

It’s cute how much the Downton Abbey girls really go for it when they get a chance to. Can you blame them? Especially the downstairs staff, who wear the same ugly costumes in every scene and no jewelry or makeup.

Rita Moreno

Grandma got game.

We interviewed her a couple years back. Sharp as a tack. Honestly, one of the sharpest celebrities we’ve ever spoken to.

This is all perhaps a bit too much but there’s no way in hell we can do anything but love her for wearing it.

Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson

That’s the best she’s looked on the red carpet in ages.
