Will Ferrell at the “Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues” NYC Premiere

Attention must be paid:

Will Ferrell attends the “Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues” premiere in New York City.

He’s been killing it lately on the red carpet; a development we never saw coming but are ridiculously pleased to see. We could quibble with some of the details, but for the most part, we’re just impressed.

Go ahead wit ur bad self, Mr. Burgundy. Love those eyes…

    • PastryGoddess

He needs to play the president with JLD as his Veep.

    • Latin Buddy

LOVE the lapel treatment. It’s subtle but elegant. Well played.

      Loving that pocket square!

    • Laura Renee

Just to name the quibbles: hands in pockets? Giant creases down the center of each pants leg?

Top half is very nicely presented, though.

      • DTLAFamilies

The crotch wrinkles are so distracting. Is he getting dressed too far in advance? Can they steam him a little before he hits the red carpet?

      • Jacob Bowen

The “creases” (pleat) in the front of the pant legs is just a style of men’s pants. Not saying it’s a GOOD style, but I have a pair of tux pants that have a pleat down the middle.

At one time, all men’s suit pants had creases. My ex-husband, ever meticulous, owned a pants presser and every night, the pants he had worn that day went into it to freshen and reinforce that crease.

Seriously, though. Major points to those among us who predicted Mr. Farrell would get dapper in his middle years.

You may color me impressed as well. Is this a gumball machine? NO! It’s a Dodge Durango! I love those damn commercials.

    • nannypoo

I agree, he has been looking really handsome.

    • Kayceed

I love that he reserves the nuttiness for his work. Conservative and impeccable – these are not bad things to aspire to as a comedian of a certain age on the red carpet.

    • TAGinMO

      “Go fuck yourself, fashion bloggers.”

    • ThaliaMenninger

      Love him. He looks great.

    • Janet B

      This makes me so happy.
      (Didn’t know I cared)
It’s nice to see a man looking his best.

“I’m not even mad, that’s amazing”

Don’t act like you’re not impressed!

    • GorgeousThings

      I just love him.

    • Clueless_Jock

Perfection indeed but I still can’t figure out why actors would want to dress like bankers on the red carpet.

    • teensmom99

Men of Hollywood, hire his stylist.

      • Kristin McNamara

Even more impressive is the fact that his stylist is getting everything fitted and hemmed properly here, because Mr. Ferrell is NOT a small dude, in either height or torso-girth. When I reminded myself of that just now, I realized I should be even more impressed than I already was!

    • marlie

He kind of reminds me of my dad, but that’s a good thing. Nothing earth-shattering, but nicely put together. And I *love* the tie and pocket square patterns together.

      • alyce1213

Funny, as soon as I saw this I thought that’s how my dad (long gone) dressed. Funny because he bore no resemblance whatsoever to Will Ferrell. He just looked fine in a good suit, often with vest, a killa tie (usually gifted by my sister or me), and pocket square.

        • marlie

Yeah, he looks nothing like my dad either, but he also knows how to wear a suit.

    • HM3

DAYUM, Mr. Burgundy! Didn’t he wear a t-shirt to the Oscars? How things have changed…

    • conniemd

I think we need to change the saying to “Ferrell and Willis it up.”

    • MilaXX

Bless him. He’s Willis’ing this pole dance

    • http://foodycat.blogspot.co.uk/ foodycatAlicia

The slightly too voluminous trousers let him down.

    • RuthGo

Great tie. And you rock that vest, Mr. Farrell!

    • http://tvblogster.blogspot.com Boop

      He looks Ah-Maa-Zing!

    • rkdgal

And he is a tall gent, so if he’s getting his pants length right, there’s no excuse for the rest of the manstars on the red carpet (except for Josh Hutcherson, maybe, as a wee one).

    • Tricia

It feels a little weird to say I have a crush on Will Ferrell but– I have a crush on Will Ferrell.

    • Kelly

When did he morph into Wayne Rogers? I know! Let’s remake “House Calls!”

      • alyce1213

I think it’s the warm oatmeal hair.

    • quiltrx

All you beautiful young things? If Will Ferrell is consistently getting it THIS right, you ALL need to step up your game!

    • http://twitter.com/#!/Space_Kitty Space Kitty

      Can’t hate.

    • e jerry powell

Is it wrong that I want to have sex with Ron Burgundy more than I want to have sex with Will Ferrell?

      • formerlyAnon

No. In the minority, maybe, though.

    • E2_Remote

That there is a sharp-dressed man. LOVE the color of the suit. He does need to get the eyebrow-whacker out though, his are getting close to sheepdog territory.

    • Shawn EH

He’s a big enough guy that the vest makes total sense.

    • NBG

Let this me a lesson to you pretty boys, when Ferrell is being himself on the RC, he Willises it the F up AND HE SHAVES.

    • KT

I love that Will Ferrell and Bruce Willis dress better than pretty much all of the Hollywood Heartthrob dudes. But then again, this is Ron Burgundy — by the hammer of Thor, he WILL look great in a suit.

    • Danielle

    • formerlyAnon

Solid nice-suit dressing. Reminds me of my dad (who was also well over 6 foot and a bit broader as he got older) in his “important meeting” suits.
