Olivia Wilde in David Koma at the “Her” LA Premiere

Posted on December 17, 2013

Miss Olivia loves her baby bump.

Olivia Wilde attends the premiere of “Her” in Los Angeles in a David Koma dress paired with Jimmy Choo pumps and Jacob & Co. jewelry.

She’s all “CHECK OUT MAH BELLY!” It’s cute. It’s the one time in a ladystar’s career when she can and should be thrusting her belly in front of the cameras. Hell, it’s the one time in most ladystars’ careers when they’re even allowed to have a belly.

We love this look except for one detail: that band across the midsection is crazy unflattering. Take that away and this would all look spectacular. The neckline’s interesting enough and the shoes make a great complement. It doesn’t need that distracting thing in the middle.

Still, she’s doing that whole “glow” thing, no?

“Still, she’s doing that whole “glow” thing, no?”

I think that’s the reflection from her neckline.

I kid, I kid. She does look lovely.

    • Jennifer Peters-Ahnberg

You took the words out of my mouth!

  • Shawn EH

What the world needs now is many more Sudeikisses!

  • If I looked that good pregnant, I’d wear tight dresses, too.

  • 8daysaweek

The band is in a bad spot for the baby bump but she looks fabulous and so thrilled which can make any look work! But at this stage in a pregnancy, the bump is so low, that putting that detail there throws everything off.
The early bump time is my least favorite stage of pregnancy to dress in, hands down. Of course, I didn’t have Ms. Olivia’s slamming bod or all the options she has!

I looked at that band and immediately started scratching at my midsection. Beginning from when there was any visible bump (bigger than my pre-existing paunch) I didn’t want anything on it at all. I don’t know how restrictive that band is, but it is not only aesthetically off, it looks really uncomfortable to boot.

      • 8daysaweek

Oh, excellent point! I hated having anything on my bump during my last pregnancy. I had the husband buy a bunch of gigantic plain white men’s tees and cut them all into belly shirts during my 2.5 month stint on bedrest.
        They’re cleaning rags now!

  • gabbilevy

The mid-section band probably would look better if she was her regular size, but still unnecessary. She looks lovely otherwise.

  • ashtangajunkie

Pretty! Not a fan of her blue eye makeup, but the blue of her dress looks spectacular on her.

    • Lily-Rygh

Right? That blue at the inner eye is weirdly distracting and kinda harsh…

  • hughman

Perilously close to a Xanadu costume.

    • Nicholas

Kinda looks like a Bond babe.

      • Valdri8

What Bond babe would that be? Whollen Glove?

    • barbarienne

I was thinking a superhero outfit. If superheroes wore longer dresses. And went around fighting crime while pregnant. Which, come to think of it, would be kind of cool and I would totally read that.

      • formerlyAnon

Super hero holiday party dress was my first thought!

  • The reflection from the beading at the neckline in that second picture is not good. It’s doing weird things to her chin and jaw. Otherwise, it looks pretty good.

  • The giant nose is not as interested in Olivia as he is with Amy. Interesting.

  • filmcricket

I actually prefer the band across the mid-section to all the stuff around her shoulders. The reflections from the pieces close to her face are not flattering, and the whole thing looks cheap, really. There’s no question that’s her colour, though. That electric blue is everywhere and it’s the rare person who can carry it off.

  • ballerinawithagun

I love the color. I would have preferred the dress without the stretch net. It would have looked fabulous showing off her shoulders! I love off the shoulder tops and dresses.

  • mmebam

    Lose the belt.

  • Isana Leshchinskaya

is it me or is there something going on with her top lip? anyway. love the blue shadow; she’s one of the few who can pull it off!

  • I know it’s not very nice, but I can’t stop laughing at the metal glare on her face.

  • Laura Prepon’s dress would be SO much prettier than this – being ringfenced by the Fortress of Solitude is unattractive and she looks like she’s clenching her teeth so hard her fillings will turn into diamonds.

  • Emily Smith

Her face in the second picture is so very “suck it, I am one hot momma”

  • Nexli B

The decorations under her face look so much like candles, all I can see when I look at her is “upscale Hanukkah version of ugly Christmas sweater”

  • annabelle archer

    Most Fruitful Yuki realness.

  • Imasewsure

    ugly ass dress

  • kimmeister

I love every dang thing about this look, from the turquoise eye shadow to the killer shoes. I agree that the midsection detail maybe doesn’t work with the belly bump, but as a design element on the dress I love it.

  • tereliz

Really hate the sheer white yoke and the reflective appliquées. Killer shoes, though.

  • crash1212

    I love this. Full stop.

  • Leah Elzinga

I’m digging this but there is a girl not used to her newfound bounty in the bust area. Enjoy them while you’ve got ’em, sistah! Set ’em free!

  • MilaXX

Definitely pregnancy glow and that middle band bugs me as well.

  • Danielle

I am DIGGING the hair and eye makeup. DIGGING IT.

  • YourBaloneyDontGotNoSecondName

Love her shoes, but I really LOVE her eye makeup. It sets off her beautiful eyes in a way that doesn’t happen enough. The rest I’m not really feeling, but then it could be jealousy over the fact that she has living proof of sexytime with Jason Sudeikis and I don’t.

  • barbarienne

Like a pregnant superhero! That’s a compliment, btw.

I’m distracted by the reflected light on her face from the shiny bits at the top in the first two pics. Glad she found the correct angle for the light in the other pics.

  • Haley Buchanan

    HOT mama!

  • LeelaST

Can’t stand the “b” word! TA with others posters about the reflected light from the bedazzled elements.

    • “Baby?”

      • somebody blonde

Maybe baby bump? Belly? The options seem endless, don’t they…

  • quiltrx

I guess I have to make a new mental rule for this one…I feel that your outfit itself should not cast bizarre lights on your face.

  • Snarkdog

The red shirt in the background on the poster makes it look like she is wearing a superhero cape in some of the shots.

  • marlie

MEH. She and her future hubby are on my Irrational Celebrity Hate List, so I have a hard time being objective. I think the dress is rather ugly (but the color is great), it’s too tight, and I hate the matching eyeliner/shadow.

  • Diego!

She looks radiant and it shows! I love you Olivia. This dress is odd but since you are preggers we forgive you anything!

  • Constant Reader

Too much shiny. But she looks so happy that I forgive her.
