    • WendyD

Please step away from the conturing/highlighting powder/brush!

    • Emily Smith

      HAIR. That’s all I got.

      • judybrowni

Yeah, kinda believe that any women with actual power would need the use of both eyes, even at breakfast.

        • Emily Smith

Her hair is just so overwhelming here, there’s so much of it!

      • YoungSally

She looks like my cockapoo four months post groom — after I’ve hit him with the volumizing brush,,,,for my personal entertainment,

        • Peeve

Omigod! I’ve got to try that with my cockapoo mix! Just the thought makes me giggle.

    • Emily Giovanni

The outfit is kind of crazy and cool, but I am distracted by her one crazy eye. (is she hiding something under that hair?)

      • Glam Dixie

She could potentially be hiding EVERYTHING under that hair.

        • Emily Smith

A family of squirrels, a meal for later, her publicist. Who knows!

      • unpious

        It’s full of secrets.

      • Telperion

She’s hiding a lazy eye. She’s been doing it for a long time and I wish she’d stop as it is not that noticeable and this awful hair just makes her look bad.

        • Emily Giovanni

I can usually tell when a celeb has a lazy eye (I do as well) and Miss Naya’s is seriously subtle if it’s there. If this is the deal, then it’s kind of like Madonna always wearing gloves because she’s paranoid about people looking at her hands. It just makes everyone want to see and notice her hands, which are probably normal anyway.

          • Telperion

Take a look at some of her photos, you’ll spot it easily from some angles and yeah, the more she does it, especially with hairstyles like this one, the more people wonder what is up. And it really isn’t an issue at all, I think she’s just insecure. She’s gorgeous and shouldn’t be though. I kind of wish someone would tell her that.

    • Glam Dixie

How many Kardashians had to suffer for her to get all of their hair like that?

      • IMNAngryLiberal

        All of them, I hope.

    • Nikko Viquiera

That’s some big, ass hair! I like it!

      • Kristin McNamara

That is some amazing comma placement typo magic happening right there.
        “Ass hair.” I die!

    • Nicholas Paganelli

HAIR. Love it. Her head looks like it was plucked from a fashion illustration.

    • Tracy_Flick

The outfit is fabulous, it fits her perfectly. But NO on the Jessica Rabbit hair. Living creatures generally need to use both eyes whenever possible.

      • KateShouldBeWorking

A large part of me has a crush on her. A smaller part of me kind of hopes she spent the evening gently walking into things.

        • kimmeister

Thus, the hair helps to hide the inevitable bruises on the right side of her forehead.

          • marlie

BUT… without the hair eyepatch, maybe she wouldn’t need to cover the bruises. It’s a chicken/egg-type conundrum.

    • schadenfreudelicious

I am rather partial to it, but the bare back seems an odd choice for a breakfast event…

      • http://www.youtube.com/user/TheOctocornNetwork International Model

That’s how she let’s us know she’s still Naya. “You think I’m classy? Let me just turn around and BAM. You’re welcome!”

      • kimmeister

It’s for all of those times when the small of your back is scorching hot, meanwhile your butt is cold so you have to cover it with multiple layers of tweed. Man I hate it when that happens.

        • schadenfreudelicious

in my freezing cold corner of the world it would be a perfect daytime outfit, alas a bare back just doens’t cut it in -30 ;)

        • Imasewsure

Yes there’s a reason we haven’t seen this type of combo before… odd odd odd

        • bitchybitchybitchy

This outfit reminds of the Marie Claire office challenge in season 10 of PR-nothing says professiional woman like a cut-out back, a tweed skirt and big hair.

      • zenobar

        Bareback Surprise.

      • TonyGo

Business in the front, Party in the back!

        • algaechick

          A mullet outfit? (as it’s not a mullet dress…)
Also, I want to be entertained at breakfast. By something other than my cat being driven crazy by scampering squirrels outside the window.

        • http://www.GiftedCollector.com/ The Gifted Collector

Sorry, TonyGo. I just wrote the same thing before I saw your comment. We’re in complete agreement.

      • http://www.GiftedCollector.com/ The Gifted Collector

It’s just like a mullet — business in front, party in the back.

    • flamingoNW

She’s so stunning. I love it from the front. From the back, all I got is “….Oh.”

    • http://www.youtube.com/user/TheOctocornNetwork International Model

She is auditioning for that non-existent re-boot of “Dynasty” and I approve.

      • boweryboy

Why hasn’t that happened? They did Dallas…

        • http://www.youtube.com/user/TheOctocornNetwork International Model

As long as Joan Collins lives, I have hope.

    • carpediva

OMG, LURVE. What a badass skirt. But the hair: TOO much, girl.

    • zenobar

Galas, luncheons and breakfasts, oh my. Criminy, showbiz people enjoy patting themselves on the back.

(I said “criminy” unironically and bitched about “showbiz people” in the same breath. I guess I skipped right over turning into my mother, and jumped headlong into becoming my grandmother.)

I want to love the skirt, but something is holding me back.

      • boweryboy

        Because it’s ugly perhaps?

      • Sarah

Right? I want to go to Entertainment Breakfasts. This sounds like an excellent event.

        • zenobar

“I’ll have the Self-Congratulatory Egg White Omelet with a side of Smug Sliced Fruit please.”

          • Sarah

Oh, my entertainment breakfast would be full of meats. And yolks. And hash browns. And lots and lots of champers with cranberry (the delightful Poinsettia, my favorite breakfast cocktail!) and then I could convince myself that I was the Woman in Entertainment referred to.

            • zenobar

Your entertainment breakfast sounds way better. Let’s add inch-thick French toast, Belgian waffles and chocolate croissant to the menu.

I’ve had many a mimosa, but I’ve never even thought about adding cranberry to champagne… My God, the holidays are already looking a whole lot merrier and brighter.

            • Sarah

Yeah, I hate cranberry usually, but that drink is really good. I had a med that made me unable to consume beer for a while cuz it tasted like crushed up aspirin :( My friend a bartender made me one because I could consume champagne with no problem, and orange juice is not my friend. Now I’m very fond of them, at all hours of day and night. (Also, yes on all the foods!)

            • zenobar

Thank you, I am on that. Champagne: Not just for breakfast anymore!

One good turn deserves another…may I suggest a glass of Lindeman’s Peach Lambic with a shot of Pyrat rum.

              You’re welcome.

            • Sarah

Sweet. I shall have it made for me at my next opportunity. By a servant. Because there are so many of them in my employ, and they need something to do other than feed me exotic cheeses and pay my bills. Or, you know, like at a bar.

            • decormaven

If there’s champagne, there should be Cham-Chams. Champagne and Chambord.

            • http://foodycat.blogspot.co.uk/ foodycatAlicia

Cranberry & a little cointreau, then top up with the prosecco or champagne. Divine.

          • kimmeister

They always knew those melon slices were smiling specifically at them.

          • bitchybitchybitchy

I think I love you for this! Smug sliced fruit accompanied by a gluten-free muffin, naturally.
Myself, I’d be adding some really good bacon, fresh scrambled eggs and a big waffle

        • Janet B

Probably not much food, but lots of bubbly. :)

          I can dream, right?

      • Carleenml

galas, luncheons, breakfasts, and now Nobel Peace Prize Concerts! Hollywood is now all Nobel By Association and shit.

        • zenobar

It’s all just a part of their Nobel profession.

      • demidaemon

It’s the length. That’s what is holding me back.

    • DeniseSchipani

the super duper contoured makeup face, plus the hidden eye, make her look a LOT like the Barbie Styling Head I had when I was a girl. Love the skirt.

      • decormaven

        Nailed it. “Accessories not included.”

    • In_Stitches

That eye make-up is flawless. The shape is great, love the fabrics; there’s a lot to love here. However, the hair is a bit much, the lip color is a bit dead and the shoes are a bit cheap-all minor quibbles, but they add up and that’s why she didn’t earn a coveted werq.

    • kimmeister

That is a ridiculously long peplum.

      • marlie

        Maybe that’s *why* it’s a peplum that I don’t hate.

    • fashion4ever

girl, that is NOT your face or your hair!
      leave the contouring alone!

    • annabelle archer

Sweetie. What is with the hair? I love big hair, I do, but this is getting insane. Lose that peplum and I’m loving the rest.

    • Kathy

Everything’s okay, but the mugging for the camera is a bit much.

    • marlie

I can’t with her any more. The vapid, blank-faced, open-mouthed stare needs to stop. She’s trying to be sultry, and it’s just coming across as fake and disingenuous. It’s a shame, really, because I rather love this outfit, but I can’t take HER with her overdone hair and makeup and posing anymore.

      • annabelle archer

She has actively worked herself right off my lust list.

        • Glam Dixie

Agreed, she is trying way too hard to be sexy instead of just being sexy.

          • annabelle archer

It’s the JLo Syndrome and she’s got a bad, bad case of it. I feel like she hears this giant clock ticking, she’s not catching on outside of Glee, really, and she knows once it is gone, her 15 minutes will not be far behind.

          • decormaven

Yes, this is bordering on “sexay”. The effort needs to be dialed down.

      • zenobar

Yep. She is so stunning, but she keeps making the patented Cosmo Covergirl “dumb animal” face at the cameras, and that just cancels out her natural beauty.

        • marlie

It all seems to have started a couple of months ago when she got engaged, and started showing off the new boobs. Maybe she’s trying to transition away from Glee, but she’s SO much prettier when she smiles and takes off a layer or two of makeup. And like @glamdixie:disqus said… stop trying to make sexy happen.

          • filmcricket

The boobs are not new, unless she got them re-done. They’ve been a feature for at least 3 years now. Agreed that the timing of all this coincides with her relationship with Big Sean though.

The hilarious thing is, she’s made fun of Lea Michele’s red carpet posing before, and now it’s like she’s an acolyte.

            • marlie

Hm. For some reason, I thought the boobs were newish.

            • filmcricket

I think it may be that she’s lost weight, so they’re looking more noticeable. But there was a plotline on Glee in the second season about Santana’s new boobs that I don’t think was pulled out of nowhere. And if you look at some of her past red carpet pictures, she’s definitely getting help either from corseting wizardry or some other source.

      • bitchybitchybitchy

Naya;s talented and lovely-she serioulsy doesn’t have to work that faux-Kardashian shit.

    • hughman

“Welcome to Mildred’s. I’m your waitress, Naya. Mother will be cooking your breakfast.”

      • zenobar

        Chicken and waffles, natch.

        • bitchybitchybitchy

That would be free-range chicken grazing on organic grasses, one hopes?

          • zenobar

Is there any other kind? :)

            • bitchybitchybitchy

              Bowin’ down, m’dear!

    • boweryboy

It’s really heavy looking and unflattering and could use the belt. Although I continue to appreciate the fact that she’s giving the girls some time off.

    • Latin Buddy

WERQ. This is amazing. Love the late 70s / early 80s look to this.

    • TAGinMO

      BAM.

      Needs the belt, though.

    • nyazgirl

#1 – Gorgeous. #2 – FUCK HER AND HER LACK OF BACK FAT!

      • JDreesen

i take comfort knowing she is going to be freezing come January.

then i feel a little bit guilty.

then i go back to full-on comfort.

    • crt

she looks like the fifth (sixth? seventh? i honestly don’t know and can’t be bothered to google) kardashian sister.

    • Imasewsure

I’m digging the sex kitten hair and the makeup but I can’t with this business in the front, party in the back look… sexy secretary with scissors and eyes on the boss? Not working although she’s beautiful in anything really

    • Tatiana Luján

Love the clothes ans the hair, but I want to see her both eyes and more than one facial expression, preferably one that isn’t as crazy as this one.

    • NYCGlamourpuss

Business in the front, party in the back! (Kidding, kidding, I kid…) I do like this look a lot better on her – her “Hey! Look at my back!” outfit is much better than her “Hey! Look at my breasts!” outfit.

    • ballerinawithagun

Love the skirt! Wish the top had just a diamond cut out instead of so much exposure.

    • Mismarker

That is some supreme one-eye f**king.

    • bellafigura1

I kinda love it, including the vamping face and the hair. It’s different, I’ll say that!

    • http://armchairauthor.wordpress.com/ LesYeuxHiboux

Roles I would like to see her play, based on this look:
      Cha Cha DiGrigorio
Boss bitch at a fashion mag (or at least clawed climber)
The sexiest, sluttiest lawyer on a David E. Kelley show.

With that hair, she can show the country girls a thing or two.

      • bitchybitchybitchy

It’s as if she’s auditioning for Ugly Betty and her agent forgot to tell Naya that it’s over.

    • Erica_Vuitton

Lady is servin up mayyja HAIR & FACE! Who cares about the outfit!?!

      • http://frankbettecenter.org/ sleah_in_norcal

i just hope she doesn’t get scrambled eggs in her hair.

    • Madam Von Sassypants

Doesn’t it kinda blow your mind that bitch wore this to BREAKFAST?

      • filmcricket

Thank you! This really doesn’t say “breakfast” to me, although I doubt any of the attendees actually ate.

        • kimmeister

She absorbs airborne nutrients via the pores on her back, obviously.

    • OMM4

I’ve been waiting for a Naya Rivera pic to post this. She was on my flight to Detroit over Thanksgiving and was sitting two rows ahead of me. It must be said, she is EVEN more ridiculously gorgeous in person. She sashayed (yes, sashayed) down the aisle wearing knee high Louboutin boots, the world’s tiniest shirtdress, and a camel coat with oversized fur collar. It was everything.

      • http://frankbettecenter.org/ sleah_in_norcal

i am soooo jealous! i’ve been in love with her since her lesbian cheerleader days in high school.

    • JDreesen

Transformation Complete: your custom Maya Rivera Mannequinbot is ready for our convenient in-store pickup.

      • Glam Dixie

With the open mouth and blank stare she resembles one of those Real Dolls you see on the TV.

        • JDreesen

i was trying not to get in trouble for copyright infringement, but yes – that was my inspiration. wrote a paper about those things in college; that’s right. for my Rhetoric of Cyborgs class (that’s also right). they’ve made great strides since then. i was so proud of them when they got their big break in Lars and the Real Girl.

        • Mismarker

Naya must have heard there was going to be a sequel to Lars and the Real Girl. This is clearly her audition for the part of the sex doll.

        • http://foodycat.blogspot.co.uk/ foodycatAlicia

What the heck kind of TV do you watch?! ;)

          • Glam Dixie

Ha! I know I saw those dolls on some show on HBO, I think and I saw a guy on My Strange Addiction who had a bunch of them.

    • MoHub

Skirt is too long, and then—the turnaround fug!

Also, Naya, you are not Veronica Lake!

    • MaggieMae

She is trying very hard, isn’t she? I’m torn, really. She’s drop dead gorgeous and maybe it’s just my personal taste, but I’d prefer her to go classy and elegant over cheap and sexy. But, whatevs.

      • marlie

Nope, I think that a lot of the bitter kittens are with you on this one.

      • Mismarker

Cheap and sexy is such an easy route, especially when you are as gorgeous as Naya. Honestly, the hair alone is taking this otherwise pretty classy look into hooker town. She would have looked stunning with a sleek pony and a thousand less gold bangles and rings.

    • Nancer

She looks great, I think the belt would have really made this but truly, no complaints!

    • Fyolette

the hair was shooting for fierce, but landed on ridiculous. It would look great in an editorial, but not on the BREAKFAST event red carpet. Also the cutouts are really unnecessary, I have nothing against showing skin, but they just aren’t flattering, without them it would be actually chic, especially if there would be a ponytail in the equation. also a belt would help. soooo….change everything, mostly.

      • Mismarker

Oh, sweet Lord. I just realized this is a breakfast event. Forget everything I’ve typed so far. That hair is fucking ridic for anything happening before 5 p.m.

    • Town

She gives me skinny brown Kim Kardashian vibes. Perhaps Naya is really North West from the future?

    • http://foodycat.blogspot.co.uk/ foodycatAlicia

I do wonder what she will wear when she is 50, given her taste for dressing too old now. Daisy dukes?

    • alyce1213

The peplum (which is pretty nice as peplums go) OR the cutout back. The Duchess didn’t edit.
Again with the too-heavy eye makeup, but at least some lip color is discernable. And the hair. . . she needs to change this look.

    • Jumpingjacks

She looks great, but the hair and pose give off too much of a drag vibe. Too much darling too much

    • PastryGoddess

the fact that she looks like this at breakfast astounds me…both in a good and bad way.

    • ashtangajunkie

Everyone can see that you’re young and sexy. Have a mimosa and loosen up.

    • CKMia

Imagine that outfit with a low ponytail, parted in the middle.

    • Jessica Freeman

Need the belt, or a belt and a slightly shorter hem. And for her to knock it off with the sexy sexy posing.

    • Kimmu

Man, remember when she looked like Naya Rivera and not like some unholy “What hath man wrought by playing God?” JLO/Kardashian cross breeding experiement?

      • bitchybitchybitchy

She does look like a JLO/Kardashian love child-and that’s scary.

    • Leah Elzinga

she couldn’t possibly look more “affected”. Jesus, why is she playing Lea Michelle’s sandbox??

    • http://twitter.com/#!/Space_Kitty Space Kitty

      DIAL.
      IT.
      DOWN.

    • amandacq

of course she is beautiful, but i’m afraid of that thing she’s doing with her face becoming a thing now.

    • Jacqueline Wessel

I love this, big crazy hair and all. Wish she had worn the belt, or a belt.

    • MilaXX

She is working that sex bomb thing in ways Lea only wishes she could. I love everything about this look, but I wish she had a few less bracelets.

    • crash1212

She’s really working the big, sexy hair recently…love it. I love this look – all of it. The back was unexpected and a bit startling, but after looking at it for awhile, I decided I even liked it! Nicely done Naya!

    • Nika E

That hair is crazy but the dress is pretty cool. Very chic.

    • Alexis Boucher

I’d be surprised if my hair looked like that at breakfast too, girl.

    • http://www.readbarbara.com/ ReadBarbara

The hairpatch…I mean eyepatch…I mean hair covering her eye as if it were a patch, is a bit weird and distracting – why cover half a gorgeous face? Love the skirt. Like the shoes, but the straps kinda look like glow sticks from a long ago rave that refuse to glow anymore.

    • CLoverleaf

      Boring drag queen.

    • BrooklynBomber

I loved this outfit till she turned around.
Also, she’s GORGEOUS PERIOD FULL STOP, but I feel like she and/or her handlers are trying to hit us over the head with it. I wish she or they’d calm down and realize we can see her.

    • JauntyJohn

Head turning to be sure, and she’s a stunner, but there is something going on with her that makes it look like she’s trying too hard.

    • Ediths_Head

What did Alexis Morrell Carrington Colby wear to the board meeting she was forced to attend while still mourning the Moldavian Massacre?

Is this not a Jeopardy clue?

      • bitchybitchybitchy

Ifit isn’t, by God it should be -when do we get the Jeopardy-Dynasty/Knotslanding/Dallas special edition?

    • Zaftiguana

Loving the top/skirt (dress?), shoes are boring but fine, hair is giving me life, but (and I ONLY comment on this because it might be make-up), what is going on with her face? Is this just some overly zealous Kardashian Kontouring? I really hope so, because that’s easily resolved.

    • LeelaST

All business in the front, sexy secretary/party in the back. Honestly Michael Kors, a peplum isn’t enough for you? You have to go mid-thigh with it? GAH!

    • amf0001

I can’t believe someone can look like that outside of a hair commercial with a wind machine. Good on her for that! but of course it’s too much. Love the skirt.

    • V No Privacy

Her face and red carpet photo facial expressions keep reminding me of some other actress but I CANT THINK OF WHO. Definitely not an A lister but….someone…..

      • martha

Not an actress, Kim Kardashian :-

        • V No Privacy

ooohh maybe. You could be right. Now I’m thinking of her plus another non-actress – Jacqueline from RHONJ. Naya is a hybrid of those two maybe.

    • formerlyAnon

She is beautiful. The hair is a little much at a breakfast, but really only a tad overblown, not awful. Love the outfit from the front, lost the enthusiasm when I saw the huge cut out in the back.

    • Lisa M. (ReVoir) Kramp

Naya, please put the hair extensions DOWN. Love that sexy secretary dress on her slamming figure, but all I can see is HAIR!!!

    • Milos Mom

I’m digging this look. Like GaGa, she is trying to hard to give face all the time and that makes me take her less seriously, but otherwise I think this look is pretty neat.

    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1180174329 Elizabeth Phillips

All I can think is “How many Indian women had to sell their hair for her to look like that?”

    • GillianHolroyd

      I just realised… she’s walking a Red Carpet for a *BREAKFAST*

      • bitchybitchybitchy

Isn’t that mindblowing, in some way?

    • Richard

Her hair is insane, but I love it. She looks beyond fierce, even though she desprately needs a belt.

    • LipstickForPigs

      Oh Naya…

    • demidaemon

That skirt is hitting her at a really weird place, which is such a shame as this should have been a no-brainer for her.

    • CarrieBaby

Seems like Naya is taking classes at the Lea Michele school of red carpet posing

    • Jacob Bowen

I LOOOVVEEEE EVERYTHING about this look…minus the deer in the headlights expression in the first shot. She is gorgeous.

Definitely working the sexy secretary vibe in this look.

I’m not sure about the outfit, I can’t decide. But she is KILLING IT with that hair!

She almost had me singing her praises with the outfit, until she turned to the side…oh, not liking the backless top. That skirt is fantastic tho, and I’m digging the shoes. Her hair…sexy, but needs to turn the dial down on it a few notches…it’s overwhelming.

I guess since Kim is trying to turn herself into Beyonce, Naya is changing into Kim.

She looks gorgeous, but her hair and makeup are styled for a totally different event. Maybe if her back were covered I would feel differently, because right now this just feels a little too slutty for breakfast
