Well. This all appears to be in order.

David Beckham attends the premiere of “The Class of 92″ at Odeon West End in London, UK in a Ralph Lauren Black Label suit.

I do miss his clean shaven face. But, this will do.

  • frannyprof

Thank you, boys. I’m awake now.

  • ballerinawithagun

Impeccable, that is until you get to the tattoos continuing on down his hands.

    • http://thishotoldbroad.blogspot.com/ Sara Leigh Merrey

I have a problem with his “illustrated man” aspect.

      • lundibleu

Same here. I find him FAR more attractive when done up nicely in a suit than I do when I see him in his trunks or undies. This happened at some point in the last few years, and it surprised me when I saw a picture of him and suddenly went ‘oh, I SEE. Yes.’

    • Nikko Viquiera

Might be a matter of personal taste. I don’t mind the tattoos at all :)

      • boweryboy

Oh, it’s 150% a matter of personal taste.

I’m with ballerinawithagun. Even if I found him pants movebale sexy (which I don’t) the tatts would ruin it for me.

    • Bexxx

      Yeah, that’s my favorite part.

    • formerlyAnon

I think they add a certain something enticing with the contrast between them and the posh suit.

Though I am not as enthusiastic when I see most of his tats on display in a photo of him in swim trunks or underwear.

      • Kent Roby

He’s wearing a “Posh” suit? I had no idea that his wife designed menswear. ;)

        • formerlyAnon

          Ha!

Ya know, after I wrote this (and another comment using ‘posh,’) I wondered why I was getting all anglophilic with my adjectives. I never once realized that my subconscious was going right to the missus’s Spice Name.

(edited in a pathetic attempt to be more amusing)

          • Kent Roby

I’m hoping for a Spice Girls reunion in few more decades just so it can be called “The Old Spice Tour”!

          • formerlyAnon

Now I’m hoping as well. ;-)

    • Sam Smith

I agree, I’m not anti-tattoo, but the below the cuff ink just looks weird to me and throws of the outfit. Also, his face just looks ruff in these shots as well, needs a facial.

    • http://foodycat.blogspot.co.uk/ foodycatAlicia

Yes. I like tattoos, I like his tattoos, but there is something a little jarring about so much ink below the cuffs of his shirt.

  • Christine Hart

Is it just me or does it look like he’s gained some weight in his face?

    • Tippi123

And it’s usually not just the face…

  • bitchybitchybitchy

I confess that Becks has grown on me in recent years. Thanks, uncles, for Sausage Monday.

    • NinaBoo

I was never one for him until:
      1. My cousins kept posting hot pix on FB;
      2. I became an LA Galaxy season ticket holder and got to see him all hot and sweaty in his kit; and
      3. I saw him holding his newborn daughter.
I have only so much resistance. Becks fan, I now am.

      • Rand Ortega

LA Galaxy season ticket holder shoutout!

        • NinaBoo

          THIS IS LA!

      • DebbieLovesShoes

I agree. Any dad who loves his kids and is proud of them gets MAJOR points for me.

Also, not to sound sappy, but it’s nice to see he hasn’t had anything “done” to his face — he looks like he’s aging like the rest of us instead of sporting some weird cosmetically-enhanced look.

  • http://joyouslifesf.wordpress.com Kiltdntiltd

Yup, handsome man in a well tailored black suit. Moving along now.

  • boweryboy

    Nope.

    *stares at pants*

Nothing. Not even the slightest movement. I truly don’t get his appeal, but to each his own.

  • marlie

Becks does know how to wear a suit. He’s so not my type, but a guy in a gorgeous suit always makes me happy.

  • zenobar

Getting a bit of Bowie in that last shot. (The natty, elegant Thin White Duke Bowie.)

    • formerlyAnon

I’m not getting it, but thoroughly appreciate the prompt to muse on mental images of vintage Bowie.

  • alyce1213

S’okay, pants are a bit long. I wonder why his tie bar shifts position, it amuses.

    • ecallaw1977

Until I began to frequent this website, I didn’t realize just how poorly hemmed most male celebrities’ pants are. Having said that, I still tend to prefer them ever so slightly longer than TLo–I think this is perfect!

      • alyce1213

I tend to like a bigger break in pants as well — better to err on the side of long. Nothing is worse than too-short trousers!

  • annachronizm

    but the greasy hair…..

    • terpsichory

      Of course.

  • http://dontmakeitlikeimdumb.blogspot.com/ annabelle archer

I am completely immune to him when he is dressed. He needs to be in his skivvies, in order to ping my radar.

  • Qitkat

This just illustrates what a difference a patterned tie can make with a black suit and white shirt. Very handsome shield design here. The dude is not bad either.

    • Kate4queen

its probably a Man Utd football club tie, seeing as that’s what the documentary is about.

      • Qitkat

One might think so, but I’ve done a search, and the crest appears to be different. Hard to tell, as enlarging his picture blurs it too much.

      • http://foodycat.blogspot.co.uk/ foodycatAlicia

It’s not the Man U crest. Nor is it the England team crest or Paris St Germain. Beyond that I don’t know!

  • Nancer

He’s wearing a tie pin! I have been wondering if anyone does this these days… I remember my Dad wearing them, but I don’t see them so much on the red carpet. I always liked them, so – question for the guys – is a nice tie pin a good Christmas gift for a man who has to wear suits?

    • conniemd

Virtually every dude has been wearing one with ties on the red carpet the last month or so, all placed too high on the tie. But yeah, they are clearly trendy and fashionable, so they’d be a good gift.

      • Nancer

I like them, so if they are coming back into fashion, I’m for it! :]

    • Trickytrisha

Oh god, I read this as “He’s wearing a pie tin!” Heh.

  • formerlyAnon

Not-posh looking man in a posh suit.
    Oh yes.

And if he’s out and about with his (very nice) tie bar worn too high, I suppose I must accept that that is a thing we do now.

  • MilaXX

    Hey boo, Hey!

    • Jaeda Laurez

I swear i was JUST about to type that lol

      • MilaXX

what else is there to say?

        • Jaeda Laurez

          *drops mic*

  • J. Preposterice

I love tattoos (especially nicely-done ones on hot people), but man, he kind of looks like he has a zombie hand fungus every time he wears long sleeves.

  • another_laura

I’m tired of the tie-clasp-way-up-on-the-chest trendette – too obviously commercial for me – but otherwise, yes, this will do quite nicely.

  • jjtxgrrl

Something about those tats peeking out of that fine suit that makes me feel funny all over….. Yum.

    • formerlyAnon

The way a dash of vinegary hot sauce perks up a plate of greens!

    • Danielle

LAWD. Fanning the flames of a daddy bear fantasy.

  • Lisa M. (ReVoir) Kramp

Holy god, he looks even better with facial hair.

    • conniemd

He looks like an older Stephen Amell (Arrow) with that facial hair.

  • Jaeda Laurez

If only he didn’t SOUND like that, because everything else is delightful.

    • http://foodycat.blogspot.co.uk/ foodycatAlicia

Oh yes, he should never, ever speak.

  • Glam Dixie

He looks oddly bowlegged and a tad greasy here. I probably wouldn’t kick him out of bed tho.

    • Anna_Cecilia

I second that. I’m indifferent to the suit, but I like what’s underneath.

Re: the greasiness, there is also the option of theoretically showering with him and then getting back into bed. I would like to live in a world where such options are available.

  • conniemd

Dark suit – check. Tie clip too high on the tie – check. White shirt – check. No pop or color – check (the red ribbon doesn’t count!!)

  • MaggieMae

Sigh. He has a tailor & uses him/her.

  • Imasewsure

Even the best fitting black suit is boring to me now…. I need a season of plaid STAT!!

  • Akemi

I love tattooed men in suits. Unf.

  • River

    He’s just stupidly handsome, geez.

  • Kathy_Marlow

neck beard…take that away and perfection

  • Deb Oswald

    DA-YUM emphasis on the yum!

  • NYCGlamourpuss

    Mmmm hmmmm… Yum.

  • E. D.

Eh, I wish he had buttoned that second button. Looks OK, but I am nowhere near a Beckham fan.

  • Trickytrisha

First pic… he looks like he just broke his right ankle. Get thee to someone who can do hems, oh gorgeous hunk of a man. Your wife should have access to a dozen or so flunky types with needles and thread.

  • Danielle

    UNF.

  • AnnPopovic

I could’ve loved him SO much more if only he’d played for Villa. *sigh*.

  • mrspotts66

i like the scruff. but the neck beard. UGH.
suit looks nicely filled out. :)

  • ShaoLinKitten

    And it’s not even Friday…

  • LeelaST

How long do I have to hold my breath until neck beards/facial hair are not “a thing?” Can’t.

  • quiltrx

Clean up the neck, darling. Otherwise, SO fine.

  • H2olovngrl

He must be as teeny as a pixie to look that svelte.

  • Diego!

    Nice, go on

  • stubbornthoughts

    SPLURGE.

  • Carnivalbaby

Oh so nice to look at. Extremely well done!

  • Stacey Smith

I have to admit, I’m disappointed the rest of the group aren’t as famous, just because I would loved to have seen everyone’s assessments of them. :-P
