I love what this dress is doing for her derriere.

    • http://joyouslifesf.wordpress.com Kiltdntiltd

She looks great, I gotta say; even though the dress seem a trifle “Serious Actress” for a comedy premiere.

      • Danielle

I had the same exact thought.

    • 8daysaweek

I love her which makes me really want to overlook all the problems I’m seeing. Pretty but boring dress, bad earrings and meh hair.
But can I just say “DAT ASS!”

    • annabelle archer

I adore her. Passionately. So I’m going to pretend that I love everything I’m seeing here. Even if it takes a little un-focusing of my eyes to make that work.

      • conniemd

I swear “Don’t Tell Mom the Babysitter’s Dead” is one of my all-time favorite comedy movies, so I do have a real fondness for her.

        • 8daysaweek

I love her from Samantha Who?. It was entirely too short but it’s one of my favorites for Netflix repeat viewings.

          • sojourneryouth

I’m so glad you mentioned Samantha Who! I still stream it, even though I’ve seen all the episodes several times. It was a brilliant show where she really got to show what an amazing comedic actress she is. I’m so sorry the show didn’t make it.

    • SewingSiren

      Everything ‘cept the earrings.

      • GSMSF

        and the lipstick.

    • Lauren Dorsee Dillon

The hair and makeup age her at least twenty years. But the bod is slamming. Nice seat, C.

      • Constant Reader

Agreed. And I’m going to pretend the earrings never happened.

      • jw_ny

        you think she looks 67?

        • ballerinawithagun

That is exactly what I was going to ask! I think she look fabulous and she looks her age except for maybe a little too much Botox on the forehead. I wish she wouldn’t have worn black against the backdrop but who would have thought that they would have a tasteful backdrop for Ron Burgundy??? I love her!

        • barbarienne

Maybe not 62, but her face sure looks older than 42. I’m 45. I know a lot of women in this age bracket. Makeup can be very ageing.

I’m willing to go with perhaps she wants to shed the “young sex kitten” perception of her. She certainly still looks good.

        • http://foodycat.blogspot.co.uk/ foodycatAlicia

Yup. The excess highlighter around her eyes is seriously aging – it actually mimics the look of a pretty fresh facelift or harsh peel (which I am not saying she has had, but there are ladies in Hollywood a good 15-20 years older than her who look like this).

      • Calinda_L

Ha, “nice seat.” Yeah, I’m *definitely* stealing that and using it as often as possible.

      • livesarah

Sadly, my first thought is that she managed to make herself resemble Susan Boyle. Second thought was “And how the eff did *Christina Applegate* manage that?

    • Diego!

I love her, the dress looks gorgeous on her, but she needs to practice her faces! She seems too scared of flashes!

      • ConnieBV

I think she had some work done….

        • Diego!

I don’t know… Had she had some work done, she couldn’t move her eyebrows LOL :P

          • DTLAFamilies

She’s pretty obviously had an eye lift. Hopefully as time goes on everything will settle down and she’ll lose the scared shitless look. Otherwise, I have to say it’s all working. Her butt looks incredible.

    • Jessica Freeman

No to the earrings and too light concealer around her eyes. Love her too much to say anything else.

      • kimmeister

The concealer/highlighter bugs for sure, and I also wish she had a stronger lip.

    • mjmiller

The full length shots look great. But in the closeup, those sleeves make her look like she’s got fat arms, which is not true. And it looks a tad tight across the chest, making her appear flat, which she isn’t. Adjustments to the bodice would have made this dress great.

    • sojourneryouth

Hair and makeup are baaaaad–I hate it when I can see the concealer around the eyes. I adore this woman, and she deserves better hair and makeup gays. The earrings belong with another outfit, and that’s being generous. However, Miss Applegate’s body is slamming, and while the dress is unremarkable, it sure shows that Kelly Bundy’s milkshake still brings all the boys to the yard.

    • Darren Nesbitt

This looks like Jane Fonda’s dress.

    • DailyDose

terrible makeup. wish she didnt pay anyone to do it.

    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1180174329 Elizabeth Phillips

Too bad she’s in a black dress against a black backdrop. I’d love to see it better. Is it just me, or do the earrings seem to not “go” with the dress?

    • MilaXX

Dress is too tight and face/hair comes off a little too severe.

    • alyce1213

She’s sassy and I love huh! This dress is a little serious, but her body looks great in it. She’s all covered up and still sexy — she doesn’t try too hard.

    • decormaven

She’s great– the makeup is not. Boo, makeup “artist”.

    • ThaliaMenninger

I love her, but not this dress and definitely not the hair or makeup. Or the earrings. With that dress, those disco earrings are so not right. Mostly, she looks like she needs a nap.

    • Mismarker

      Glam funeral.

Would have loved this dress in a rich navy or purple. I really don’t mind the hair but she needed a softer, smokier eye, imo. The black liner is aging and makes her eyes look small.

    • tereliz

You’ve come a long way, Bundy.

    • LeelaST

What happened here? Is it the lighting? The 3rd shot down is flattering, but…short sleeves, the beading pattern, the matchy bag, the EYE makeup – YIKES.

    • TropiCarla

The fit in the chest is a little off but the dress is very season appropriate. That said, it’s a bit much for the premiere of a comedy.

    • rissa42210

Heaven’s almighty, that dress is TIGHT. And that is not your face, girl.

    • http://www.youtube.com/user/TheOctocornNetwork International Model

Who set the make up gun to, “Let’s eat at a Shaky’s before getting in the limo!”?

    • teensmom99

If not for the work on her face, I’d call this a WERQ.

    • http://thishotoldbroad.blogspot.com/ Sara Leigh Merrey

The head is all wrong. I do like the gown though. But this just doesn’t say “Christina Applegate” to me. Too oldifying.

    • CarrieBaby

The makeup makes her look old, like she’s had work done. However, the dress is fabulous.

    • jw_ny

This look screams for more dramatic makeup!

    • http://tvblogster.blogspot.com Boop

Question – when stylists are consulted for red carpet to-do’s – do they ask what color the red carpet background will be? Christina is drowning in that Anchorman backdrop. Too much eye make up. I adore her tho – and she wears the dress well, even if it’s not the best selection.

    • marlie

Christina looks pretty fabulous in this dress. It’s evoking all sorts of old-school glamour.

    • E. D.

Looks good, but not sure about the earrings. Seems like too much.

    • siriuslover

She looks great here. I have a serious question: at what age should women not wear black nail polish. I always associate it with teens, but I’ve seen it on the red carpet alot this year.

      • housefulofboys

I’m pushing 60 and – while I don’t wear plain black – I wear dark colors that look almost black frequently, some with a bit of sparkle to them and some creme. Love ‘em! So my vote would be, oh, 120?

      • Lower L

I don’t care for the black nail polish in this case because it blends in with the dress. I have seen in deployed well, although I can’t remember any specific instances.

    • LaSylphide

No sheer, no cutouts! Love it.

    • Madam Von Sassypants

Those earrings look like they were on the discount rack at Claire’s.
I love this woman, but gurrrrl that is not your head and that dress does not suit the occasion.

    • fashion4ever

what in the sweet baby jesus is going on with her face in the first picture? frightening camera flash?

    • Gatto Nero

Makeup is frightening. Earrings are too much with the blingy dress.

    • Milos Mom

She is not the most stylish. This is her kind of look so we can’t expect anymore from her. I like the dress. I liked the show “Up All Night” more…. sorry it was canceled.

    • largishbearishAtlish

this reminds me of when my mom would put vaseline on her face before bedtime….it made her look much older then too… maybe she went to a Cosmetics Degree school and got the ‘student special’?

    • antonialee

      Not with those earrings!

    • sienna elm

She looks surprised to be there!

    • French_Swede

Wow. I. need. that. dress. NOW!

    • LambeeBaby

The gown is pretty and. She is lovely but I don’t think the dress suits her. It seems more like American County Music awards.

    • quiltrx

Great dress, maybe a skosh tight. Maybe too much for this particular premiere…BUT you take the premiere you’ve got, right?
Something looks unnatural around her eyebrows and forehead, methinks.

    • http://twitter.com/#!/Space_Kitty Space Kitty

That’s a snazzy little dress, but why does her makeup look like it was done by someone completely unacquainted with flash photography?

    • Anplica Fiore

Nice hair & dress. Horrible makeup – esp her eyes. TOO DARK!
