Kellan Lutz at the HFPA 2014 Golden Globe Awards Season Celebration

Posted on November 22, 2013

Kittens, in honor of Friday, a boy:

Kellan Lutz attends The Hollywood Foreign Press Association And InStyle Celebrates The 2014 Golden Globe Awards Season at Fig & Olive Melrose Place in West Hollywood, California.

A boy with way too many products applied to his head, but still a boy. Nice suit, if a little small on him. Not loving the cardigan with it, though.

      He shur is purdy.

    • decormaven

If he had ditched the cardigan and buttoned the coat, I could get behind this look.

      • NYCGlamourpuss

Yes, this. It’s too bunchy looking.

      • Danielle

        Just remove everything! Problem solved!

    • alyce1213

      Which one is he again?

      • kbshee

        Emmett Cullen in Twilight.

        • alyce1213

I don’t know what that means.

(Alright, I do. I’m just being silly)

          • NYCGlamourpuss

LOL! Never try to hide the fact that you’ve seen the “Twilight” movies! You don’t have to like ‘em, but just admit that you’ve seen ‘em! (I have… and I have the shame.)

            • marlie

I voluntarily saw the first, and then got dragged to the second by a friend. Then I felt obligated to see the last two just because. It’s embarrassing, but it’s the truth.

            • NYCGlamourpuss

I admit that I’ve seen them because I find Edward and Jasper to be really pretty. But Emmett doesn’t do anything for me. The sad thing is, I really love a good vampire story, and these are anything but. No pun intended, but they suck. They’re so watered down that they’re not even scary – how do you not do a scary vampire movie? Or have one with any blood? So I’ve watched all the Twilight movies for the following reasons: A) Pretty boys who I like staring at, B) really cool cinematography (I’ll give them credit for that), and C) seeing whatever Alice is going to wear.

Never seen one in the theaters though – I draw the line there. It’s been on TV or nothing.

            • marlie

I only saw the second one in the theater, so I DO have that going for me. I thought the bad dye-jobs on pretty much everyone in the Cullen family (Emmett, the guy who played Jasper, and Nikki Reed) were deplorably bad and distracted from their attractiveness. And Alice’s wig was awful.

But I agree – the cinematography wasn’t bad. It also helped that the setting/filming location was really pretty.

            • Deb Oswald

I saw one, because I had to chaperone a trip to the movies with the HS kids. It was the day before a holiday – Christmas maybe? (I live in a very lightly populated area and teach in a small school, so we get to do things like this) And it was so trite and dreadful – 2 hours of my life that I will never have back. Oy.

            • VioletF.

I didn’t mind Alice’s wig, but the wig on Jackson Rathbone / Jasper was beyond horrible.

            • tereliz

I’ve seen half the first one. Got to the scene where “Coop” Cullen (Peter Facinelli was hilarious on Nurse Jackie at the time, playing Coop, the doctor with two mommies and an inappropriate touch response to anxiety) the bleach-blond vampire doctor makes his first appearance and I just died. After the funeral I turned the movie off.

            • NYCGlamourpuss

The funeral… the funeral… remind me again? Hey, I’ll cop to having seen them, but I don’t remember much about them!

            • tereliz

LOL, I meant my own funeral. After I died of laughter because of how silly Facinelli looked with that blond hair and white face. I was just being flippant. :P

            • NYCGlamourpuss

Bwahaahaa! I’m sitting here thinking, “The plot was so dull, I’m sure I’d have remembered a funeral…”

          • Celandine1

LOL don’t most of us wish we didn’t know what that means.

      • ecallaw1977

The poor man’s Channing Tatum. I used to mix them up before I realized that Channing actually has a personality.

        • NYCGlamourpuss

          I always got them confused!

        • http://dontmakeitlikeimdumb.blogspot.com/ annabelle archer

Kellan Lutz is no Charming Potato!!

(says a possibly rabid Channing fangirl)

          • ecallaw1977

Agreed! But for me, Channing is a prime example of someone’s personality making him cuter. He is the opposite of what I’m usually attracted to, but his sense of humor makes him one of my absolute favorites.

            • NYCGlamourpuss

This is true! There are quite a lot of guys who aren’t my type, but if they’re funny and charming, I fall for them like a ton of bricks!

        • tereliz

LOL, I was just about to type the same thing. I thought Channing was a tool until I realized, nope, it’s Kellan. (My husband has similar difficulties with Timothy Olyphant and that Josh Duhamel, poor dear)

          • http://dontmakeitlikeimdumb.blogspot.com/ annabelle archer

Please tell me you have set him straight by sitting him down for a binge of Justified. Olyphant is soooooooooo married to the same woman for forever hot. And Josh is so, hooked up with a stripper, douchey.

            • tereliz

He was confused because he’d seen Deadwood and a few episodes of Justified. He’s like, why’s the guy from Deadwood in a movie with a baby? (I think it was Life as we Know it.) Had to sit him down and have the TALK.

          • Glam Dixie

Mmmmmmmmm, Timothy Olyphant. God I have such a thing for that man.

            • decormaven

Bring on the next season of Justified! Sooo ready for it.

    • Evan

      Does nothing for me

    • Mona_Visa

I wonder what he looks like without makeup.

    • http://dontmakeitlikeimdumb.blogspot.com/ annabelle archer

      Yet another Ken Doll.
I cannot take this kid seriously. He gives off a vibe that is intensely off putting, to me.

      • Jessica Freeman

Me as well. Of course his unfortunate acting in the Twilight series pretty much did it for me.

        • http://dontmakeitlikeimdumb.blogspot.com/ annabelle archer

Haven’t seen any of them. But when my favorite gossip rag website writes about him, they do so in a way that implies he refers to himself in the first person and it cracks me up.

          • demidaemon

Same here, though I am puzzling over your refer to himself in the first person comment. I mean, doesn’t everyone do that? ??????????

            • http://dontmakeitlikeimdumb.blogspot.com/ annabelle archer

Annabelle Archer does not. Annabelle Archer thinks it’s pretentious and trite. Also, Annabelle Archer feels it is even weirder considering Annabelle Archer is not Annabelle Archer’s given name.

            • demidaemon

Aha, you meant third-person. Still, comment was hilarious!

            • http://dontmakeitlikeimdumb.blogspot.com/ annabelle archer

              :::facepalm:::

i did. wow. that was brilliantly stupid.

    • kbshee

I kind of like the cardi. It gives him that “Goodbye Mr. Chips” vibe.

    • Glam Dixie

He looks like if I touched him I’d have to wipe my hand off on something.

    • http://gabyrippling.tumblr.com/ Gaby

He’s starting to bear a striking resemblance to Perez Hilton.

      • demidaemon

Ugh and Double Yuck. I can’t deal with that, and your comparison just gave me chills.

        • http://gabyrippling.tumblr.com/ Gaby

It’s the hair. He should go back to whatever his natural color is and trim it super close on the sides and shorter on top.

    • The Versatile Chef

I’m searching for a “triple Lutz” joke.

      • NYCGlamourpuss

Instead of TLo doing a “Double Shot”, they’d have to feature three of his looks in one post. Or you’d have to boink him three times.

        • Jacob Bowen

I’ll go for the second option…

    • http://foodycat.blogspot.co.uk/ foodycatAlicia

I think he’s going to age well. And he’ll need to, because he’s terribly bland and boring at the moment.

      • NoveltyRocker

He IS aging well! American Pie was how many years ago now?

        • http://foodycat.blogspot.co.uk/ foodycatAlicia

Who was he in American Pie?

        • quiltrx

I think you’re confusing him with Seann William Scott, who is 37.

          • NoveltyRocker

            Aha, NOT Stifler :)

    • Mrs. Julien

      Is it Douchelord Friday already?

    • http://www.youtube.com/user/TheOctocornNetwork International Model

He is a boy. Bring on the men.

    • Clueless_Jock

Sorry but a cardigan under a shiny suit is a sartorial felony.

    • http://www.aquienleimporta.com/ Fran Correas

      True

    • Jessica Freeman

A boy I’ve never found attractive.

    • marlie

He’s kind of cute here (and I don’t usually find him attractive). I would have gotten rid of the sweater – which might have made the jacket not look quite so tight, but otherwise, the clothes are fine.

    • Jane Ire

He comes off like a charming buffoon. For some reason I find myself rooting for him to find his cheesy romantic comedy niche.

    • MilaXX

Not crazy about the vest, but he looks okay.

    • bravobravp

      I’ll take Lenny.

    • appliquer

What is his real hair color? I think he’d look 100% better with dark hair.

    • ashtangajunkie

Not my cup of tea, but he’s doing alright.

    • shirab

I feel like he needs a stronger lip with that dark suit. The smudgy pale pink lipstick isn’t doing him any favors. (If you’re going out in visible makeup, own it and do it better, Kellan.)

      • Trickytrisha

        He’s wearing mascara too?

    • Lisa M. (ReVoir) Kramp

I’ve never read the books or watched any of the movies…they turned me off from the get-go. He’s cute in a ‘meh’ sort of way, but I don’t recall watching him in anything.

    • boweryboy

Literally a boy. He looks like he’s 16.

    • jonesybj_notreally

not just a boy, a boy with perfectly deployed dimples. mama likey….

    • Matthew Davie

I don’t get the need for stylists to put beefy guys in all those layers. Cardigans, 3-peice suits… Just makes me all look bloated. Perfectly good body, ruined by clothes. See: Henry Caville

    • Ms. Schmidt

      That magenta lipstick must go!

    • tonibaloney

Weird Pinocchio-turned-into-real-boy vibes. I think it’s the bizarre hair color.

      • quiltrx

Good call on Pinocchio! I was wondering why I was getting the creeps a bit.

    • Diego!

Too much hair color and make up. This is not a boy, it’s a drag queen in a suit (?)

    • kimmeister

The white triangle exposed by leaving his bottom cardigan button unbuttoned looks stupid.

    • demidaemon

Me no likey on all parts, including the boy. He just doesn’t do it for me, and the look is grandpa goes formal after working out, so NO.

    • frannyprof

      He does nothing for me.

    • Milos Mom

He always looks so homogenized but in a sloppy way. Like his hair color is always off…. Something he’s wearing is not fitting right. Let’s be honest, he is not the stylish type. He would be at his best with his natural hair color, fresh out of bed and naked.

    • conniemd

Another guy in navy and black with a black tie and white shirt. Where has all the color gone?

    • KT

He looks like a gay doll.

    • manina

He is cute, looks like and elf, should have been in LOTR.

    • Jacob Bowen

The third picture is PERFECT. PERFECT. His cute smile and eyes make me SO happy. I don’t have to get behind this outfit as long as he gets behind me…

    • quiltrx

Eddie Redmayne called and said ‘gurl,, that’s not YOUR hair.’
And Kellan used to be so butch…I would almost call him twee in this picture!

    • Eric Stott

“have you heard about the Book of Mormon?”
