Kate Bosworth in the role of a lifetime!

Kate Bosworth IS…

Kate Bosworth attends the “Homefront” world premiere at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas in a Fendi dresss paired with Christian Louboutin pumps and a Fendi clutch.

Fendi Spring 2014 Collection

Tinker Bell.

Seriously. No one saw that before she walked out the door? This gal doesn’t just need a queen in her life, she needs a DISNEY QUEEN. And bitches? You don’t want to mess around with those Disney Queens. They’ll fuck your shit up.

I don’t understand this dress. It is supposed to look like one half was run over by a car?

    • leahpapa

The only thing I understand less than the strangely designed, ill-fitting dress is the continued relevance of Kate Bosworth.

      • Mary229

Bosworth has been on my s*** list ever since she screwed up Lois Lane back in 2006. That’s an unforgiveable sin and one I can’t forgive and forget. It’s not an irrational hate. It’s a rational hate. So whenever I see her in a silly outfit like this all I think is….ugh. (On a kinder note, I do think she’s pretty. I just don’t know why I should care about her as an actress. Is she making movies anymore at all?)

        • NoveltyRocker

She’s got that one with Winona Ryder, James Franco and Jason Statham coming up. A very out of left-field cast in my brain. Wait, is that this one, Homefront??

          • Mary229

I honestly didn’t even know she was in this movie. I didn’t even know she was still making movies. I guess I was wrong!

          • NoveltyRocker

I’m always surprised when I see her in trailers for things but they usually just go right off the radar. I didn’t realize this was the premiere of that weird Statham trailer I saw her in. Huh, I guess it really is coming out.

    • Ginny Ellsworth

Well I guess they had to let her have one cheek to sit on. ;-)

  • Glam Dixie

Tinkerbell rolled up in a disco ball. Thanks for the giggle, Kate.

  • Emily Smith

That looks like it would hurt to sit in.

  • eowyn_of_rohan

How nice that they found a way to reuse the crumpled foil after it was used to touch up Kate’s highlights.

  • http://foodycat.blogspot.co.uk/ foodycatAlicia

Waist up is very cute though – this is probably the best her hair has looked (never thought I’d say THAT about a side ponytail) and I like the shape of the bodice, if not how it is fitting her. It looks cold and spiky.

    • kimmeister

Yes, for once her hair isn’t shellacked to her head!

  • Tippi123

The silver looks good on her but the dress seems to be too big on her.

    • 3boysful

      Bust is falling off.

      Interesting textile, tho.

Kate Bosworth in the role of a lifetime!

    Kate Bosworth IS…

    Nicole Kidman on Ice!

    • kimmeister

I’m hoping you don’t mean ice as in “methamphetamines.”

      • http://dontmakeitlikeimdumb.blogspot.com/ annabelle archer

        No, not this time!

        • formerlyAnon

          “not this time”

          Hmmmm.

    • Danielle

      Kate Bosworth IS…

      Afraid to sit down.

  • sugarkane105

I thought “Kate Bosworth IS Roxie Hart!”

    • Scimommy

Great, now I have the song stuck in my head.

“The name on everybody’s lips is gonna be… ROXIE!”

      • sugarkane105

And Sophie Tucker will shit I know, to see her name get billed below… Roxie Hart!

        • Scimommy

          You are not helping.

    • pookiesmom

EXACTLY what I thought. Doesn’t Tinkerbell wear green? I’m not really seein it.

    • Meredith

Ahh! I thought the same thing!

    • http://angrynerdgirl.net/ Jessi03

I just wrote that and then saw you put it already! Great minds…

  • marlie

I saw the thumbnail and I thought she was a blonde Angelina Jolie. That’s some primo AJ bitchface that Kate is showing off here. The dress also looks so heavy, and Kate’s frame is so tiny, that it looks like it could just slide off of her torso at any second. Her hair and makeup are really pretty, though.

  • MoHub

    I’m getting high-priced anti-frost garden blanket.

  • deliadee

She needs the pooch from the runway. It has more attitude than she does.

    • kimmeister

You mean the furry clutch that looks like a dog, but isn’t?

      • Lori

Good gawd, that this is a purse. WTH?

        • marlie

Holy crap, I thought that was a real dog too!

          • Kimbolina

Imagine the double takes you’d get carrying that thing around. Walk into a store, set your doggie down on the counter to pay, and you start OPENING UP your pet.

        • http://dontmakeitlikeimdumb.blogspot.com/ annabelle archer

WOW. That is FSYOO! (for six year olds only)

        • kimmeister

That’s exactly how I reacted when I saw them in the Fendi Collection post a while back.

      • deliadee

Ha! You’re right! Well, the purse has more attitude than she does.

      • Sunraya

That is hilarious!!! I so thought it was a dog, too!!!

  • Jessica Freeman

Um…are these the spiky Louboutin heels turned into a dress?

  • http://joyouslifesf.wordpress.com Kiltdntiltd

She doesn’t look very comfortable in it. Though how anyone is supposed to do anything other than stand in that dress without risking permanent scarring is beyond me.

  • tami t.

She forgot her small, fluffy dog. Or did the ASPCA put the kibosh on piercing small, fluffy dogs with your dress?

    • BridgetK

I wondered if anybody else noticed that crazy runway situation! Although my first reaction was more along the lines of raccoon or maybe skunk.

      • didgerdoni

According to the conversation above, that dawg-awful thing is a purse. (My sincerest apologies for the terrible punagram, but I’ll do it again at the first opportunity).

        • demidaemon

          I love a terrible punagram!

  • Loramir

I…don’t hate it? The dress is not my favorite ever, but not awful. I’ve never been a fan of the super-pointy shoes she tends to favor. But her head is looking the best I’ve seen in ages – she’s finally gone for softer hair rather than her usual severe topknot or ponytail and it looks SO MUCH better on her.

  • Erica_Vuitton

She’s looking a bit like a blonde Miranda Kerr. I actually really like the dress its Vegas you gotta slap on some sparkle!

  • mjude

    sparkly tree topper.

  • Lori

This makes me sad. There are few things that I love more than silver & shiny, but I don’t love this. People should not turn silver and shiny into kinda weird and ill-fitting.

  • princessricky

woulda been more dramatic floor length i think (and less tinkerbelly). face looks great. silver shoes? well, i guess its better than default black/nude

  • http://dontmakeitlikeimdumb.blogspot.com/ annabelle archer

Not for nothing, but I’m going to need “And bitches? You don’t want to mess around with those Disney Queens. They’ll fuck your shit up.” on my custom ordered TLo T-shirt.

  • AlisonS

As soon as you said Tinker Bell I saw it in the hair & makeup but I swear I thought you were going to say the Times Square NYE Ball, ’cause that’s what I saw when I finished your sentence in my head!

    • Suzanne Moore

Me too! Or a disco ball. I really didn’t see Tinkerbell until our fabulous Uncles pointed it out.

      • AlisonS

I thought disco ball too but they were building it up so much I figured it needed to be the granddaddy of all disco balls.

  • wisenhar

Gum wrapper unconventional materials challenge winner.

  • SewingSiren

    Needs jeweled harem pants.

    • http://dontmakeitlikeimdumb.blogspot.com/ annabelle archer

      we all do

      • SewingSiren

        Well Christmas IS coming.

      • lobsterlen

I have no doubt the world would be a far far better place if we all went about our day wearing jeweled harem pants.

      • formerlyAnon

Having worn harem pants (as well as an ’80s semi-equivalent we called something else) with great enthusiasm and love, until I finally, finally realized they are not a flattering look on me (didn’t even really work when I was underweight, which hasn’t happened in a couple of decades, now), I am sad to say that I do not need bejeweled harem pants.

  • Lauren Dorsee Dillon

She chose the wrong fairy to style her. But her makeup looks lovely.

  • NYCGlamourpuss

It looks so heavy. It looks as though she’s standing all tensed up to keep it from dropping down off of her boobs.

  • MilaXX

Give this to one of the gals pole dancing for Best Man Holiday. They’ve already proven they defy the laws of time by looking just as fine as they did 14 years ago.

  • Josefina Madariaga Suárez

I think that’s the best hair and makeup she’s ever sported.

  • Imasewsure

Wish she had worn the wings and wand to complete this

  • MissWix

I like it because I have serious magpie tendencies. Also, I love the lipstick, though I can’t even pin down what shade it is.

  • LadyCelia

It reminds me of the chains that I made as a child, out of gum wrappers.

  • Tatiana Luján

    her makeup is lovely.
The dress IS sliding down. The waist of the dress is sitting way lower on her than on the model. And the model is wearing a belt, maybe you need it to keep this heavy dress in its place.

    • CommentsByKatie

Yikes, I didn’t notice that. Now that you say it, I like the look a lot less.

    • bellafigura1

How can she even take one step without hitching it up? It’s making me nervous in a still photograph, imagine wearing it!

  • lunchcoma

    I don’t despise it, but it’s a little juvenile.

  • YoungSally

    I was thinking –
    – Kristin Chenoweth
    – Former sparkle-towel girl Jennifer Aniston
    – then Tinkerbell

  • Sunraya

I love her hair, too. But that dress!!! Am I the only one who is befuddled as to why people who design clothes like this are rich and famous?? Kors, I can see, as he designs gorgeous clothes for real women. McQueen, sure. Is really an art form. But this dress? And hundreds of other ugly and/or boring dresses we see here and in other places which cost thousands of dollars??? I just don’t get it.

  • Kayemwhy yo

The dress looks like it was made out of foil gum wrappers. Hiddeous.

  • ashtangajunkie

Irrational Hate List. I don’t even know why, she just bugs.

  • http://thejoyfulfox.blogspot.com/ Laura

Her makeup is so pretty. Swoon.

  • Trickytrisha

Pretty pretty hair and face. The dress, however, looks like someones first attempt at making chain mail armor.

  • BayTampaBay

I think she looks great. Hair, make-up & earrings are perfect.

  • Meredith

    Roxie Hart!

  • Dany

Does she even do anything except appear at red carpets? Not that it’s a bad thing, but I just feel confused as to why she’s invited to all these things…

    • Gloriana Reginata

She’s in the latest Jason Statham thing – hence the movie backdrop. Poor thing, James Franco is her on-screen hubby in it. For that alone I would offer her sympathy, except I would much have preferred TLo give us a piccie of Mr Statham for us to ogle.

  • rkdgal

I think ZOOM showed how to make this dress out of gum wrappers. (But that was the 1970s, so I might be remembering wrong…)

  • http://angrynerdgirl.net/ Jessi03

    Kate Bosworth IS….
    Roxie Hart!

  • http://heartprintandstyle.com/ Vivi N

The dress isn’t really bad. In fact, it’s pretty. Imagine Lupita wearing this dress…

  • bravobravp

Meanwhile, Kate Bosworth thanks Jennifer Anniston for letting her borrow her sparkly bath towel.

  • CommentsByKatie

I’m sorry, I love it! Costume and all! Girl looks like she is ready to pull Wendy’s hair. Fab.

  • formerlyAnon

It looks better from close up/hips up than when one gets a full length view. So. That’s what I’ve got that’s positive.

  • crash1212

This is the best her head’s ever looked in life. Not commenting on the dress.

  • Lilak

Husband, walking past and glancing at the screen: “Huh. Pretty face but kind of one-dimensional. I bet she’s one of those not quite actresses. She’s kind of a paperdoll at these things, right?”

    Wow … Nothing to correct.

    • demidaemon

Your husband is awesome! He’s like an honorary BK.

  • http://frankbettecenter.org/ sleah_in_norcal

the dress is too big for her. or she’s too skinny for the dress. if the skirt were fitted, as on the model, it would mitigate the fairy look. hey, sookie stackhouse should wear this!

but the most important question is, is the model carrying a dog or a fur clutch?

  • Jacob Bowen

The top makes an EXTREMELY skinny woman look like she has squished armpit boob! Normally I am for ANYTHING that shines, but wow, this is BAAAAADDDD!

  • E. D.

    Like the hair and makeup.

  • Lilak

So is she walking around with some sort of self-generated soft focus?
(Ahhh . . . I bet it’s the glow from being part of the Love Story of the Century.)

  • quiltrx

She always looks so…well, I guess jagged is the word i’m looking for. Never cared for her, acting or fashion-wise.
And all she needs is a toy Tommy gun and she can be in that scene in ‘Chicago’.

    • Lilak

Husband sez she looks like she was assembled from the ‘miscellaneous’ drawer in his tool cabinet.

(I’m with demidaemon in reply to my earlier comment: Husband now officially an honorary BK!)

  • http://weirdinedgewise.blogspot.com ONEWEIRDWORD

    she’s got wonderful eyebrows

  • Janet B

    Neck up looks pretty.

  • guest2visits

I think she looks pretty good in this, especially from the waist up.
I still think it would look more sophisticated with a bit more length & it needed to be better fitted to her tiny frame.

  • Mona_Visa

This dress doesn’t seem to fit her properly.

Also, I wonder if it jingles when she walks.

  • sekushinonyanko

I thought you were going to say Kate Bosworth is Taylor Swift for a fancy dress ball…

  • Aaminah Khan

I thought Taylor Swift – blonde, sparkly/metallic, red lip, legs, boring.

  • ballerinawithagun

No one could fly in that heavy dress, not even Tinkerbell. It looks like it weighs more than she does.
