Lovely Coat! Don’t even mind the color being so close to her hair. She was loudly flinching when they showed her the photo of her sheer Dior skirt on Letterman (she went “UGH, THIGHS!”) but somehow I bet she feels 100% happy with this, as she should.

    • bxbourgie

She’s nuts! I wish my thighs looked like hers. Also, I need that coat.

    • YoungSally

She was hysterical on Letterman…it was pretty obvious that she is exhausted/punch drunk and Letterman was really nice about it…and still funny.

      • French_Swede

That girl needs a nap. Quick!

  • AlisonS

I need that coat in my life. Like right now.

    • bitchybitchybitchy

I’m having major coat lust for this one!

      • Kathy

        My coats have coat envy.

        • bitchybitchybitchy

My coats will not come of my closet in shame.

          • Cordelia_Gray

My coats dragged themselves out of my closet and tossed themselves onto a funeral pyre in shame.

          • bitchybitchybitchy

            My coats send their sympathy….

    • Nicole

my closet would be very happy if it saw me brining this home

  • Mismarker

Her poor, cold tootsies! Booties would have been the better choice.

    • d4divine

She doesn’t walk…it’s always sunny in a tricked out chauffeur driven SUV

      • Mismarker

Yeah, yeah. Still bugs me. “Polished/put-together” and “seasonally appropriate” need not be mutually exclusive. The sexy summer sandal and bare legs just seem like lazy styling to me. Closed toe heels or booties could have looked just as good on camera.

        • Loola234

Exactly! I’m from the frozen tundra of Minnesota and I can deal with the bare legs, but open toes? Nope…

      • Mary229

I know she is probably barely outside but I flinched at the shoes. Maybe it’s bc I’m an East Coaster no one wears shoes like that Thanksgiving week, in the MORNING in New York City. It’s just…no.

  • TrixieConQueso

Always gets “Adorable” points no matter what, because she just is, but, Heavy Winter coat combined with Summer Sandals do NOT get WERQ points from moi’.

    • bitchybitchybitchy

Indeed -why now pair this look with more seasonally appropriate yet stylish shoes? They are out there.

      • AnneElliot

I’m sure someone could find her some fabulous boots to complement the outfit. Some boot porn to go along with the coat porn, no?

        • bitchybitchybitchy

Good point! a coat as drool-worthy as this one absolutely demands some fabulous boots.

  • mommyca

Can we add “Coat porn” to the Sausage Friday theme?
    Love the coat!

    • CakesOnAPlane

      what about coat-wrapped sausage porn?

  • CPK1

    Coat porn. Love.

  • sagecreek

Sandals with a coat. I just don’t get it.

    • Well, they’ve proven that thoughtful styling is not on the menu. But, it likely comes down to what looks best on TV and the fact that she is walking from Limo to Door, not manuevering her way around the city streets.

      • demidaemon

All things said, this is probably the best outfit she has worn in the last two weeks.

  • PastryGoddess

I would cut several bitches for that coat. No jury in the world would convict me

    • SugarSnap108

The jury would cut you to get the coat.

  • Cortney Dean

That coat is TO DIE FOR. That is all.

  • Judy_S

    Climate change.

  • AmeliaEve

Yikes, it is way too cold in New York for open sandals like that. My toes are shivering just looking at her.

    • marlie

Meh. I’ve gone to formal events (not that this one is) in the winter and have gone from the car to the door in shoes like that and it’s never bugged me. it’s also not THAT cold (to me).

      • Mary229

FORMAL events though are different. And I’m sure they were formal shoes. This was MORNING. I can’t do the summer looking sandals Thanksgiving week in NYC. It’s just too off for me.

        • marlie

You do have a point. But I’m also kind of weird that way… everyone else is on Idris Elba for not wearing socks, and that doesn’t bother me – and I don’t wear them – either.

          • filmcricket

I’m with you, I resist socks for as long as I can, and I live in Canada, so we know from cold. Socks squish your toes and if they get wet it’s the worst and they overheat your feet and, and, and. I do feel that these sandals and that gorgeous coat are a bit at odds with each other, but since she wouldn’t be wearing the coat in the studio I’m not fussed.

  • pookiesmom

I feel like I should like the coat more than I do. I’m not sure if it’s the fit or the material, but its bunching and pulling is bugging me. It looks awkward to me.

    • MoHub

I saw that, too! Up a size, maybe?

  • Garcia Loca

Love the coat. Band-Aid shoes, not so much.

  • bellafigura1

Love the open-toed booties on the runway shot with the dress. Better choice.

    • gigi kennedy

      me too. those look fabulous

    • Nay. Open-toed booties should die a slow, painful, death.

      • marlie

As much as I don’t mind open-toed *shoes*, open-toed booties will never be ok in my book.

  • eowyn_of_rohan

Someone needs to cast her as Ellen Barkin’s daughter before that haircut grows out.

  • ashtangajunkie

Speaking of coat porn. Want. But the strappy sandals look weird with it.

  • MUCH better suited to her than all that Dior. Plus, this is coat porn at its most destructive……, perfect color, cut, and OH those fasteners!!

  • PeaceBang

She’s fresh! Exciting! It’s getting very Kool + the Gang up in here.

    • Sarah

I give you beaucoup points for Kool & the Gang, because bless. But I hate her outfit and I don’t even like the coat. (I know I’m in the minority there, but I dislike camel.)

      • marlie

That’s ok. At least now I don’t have to fight you for the coat.

      • PeaceBang

But now you have an awesome ear worm, am i right?

        • Sarah

And mental image. My big bro in tighty whities and tube socks, dancing around the family room to “Ceeelebrate good times – COME ON!” with a hairbrush microphone. Thank you very much.

  • alyce1213

COAT PORN! So chic, so cool — the collar, the buttons, the line. I love the separates underneath, as well.
Did anyone see her on Jon Stewart last night? Epic. I wanted to jump into my teevee set and hug her when she joked about putting the raw turkey on her head but decided against it because she has enough attention.

    • sagecreek

I thought she was adorable, and her candor is refreshing!

  • marlie

I am in LOVE with that coat. MUST. HAVE. I kind of hate the dress on the model, but since you can barely see it on JLaw, it doesn’t bother me too much. I think her hair and makeup look good. And I know everyone else is going to comment about the shoes and the season, but I LOVE them. And I don’t care that it’s November and that she’s wearing a coat.

  • Jessica Freeman

If it’s cold enough to wear the coat, the sandal stilettos are a no. That being said, I want that coat so hard.

  • Coolekat

why is she wearing sandals? They look ridiculous with that heavy coat.

  • MannahattaMamma

Love the coat color but I would bet that most women (and men) in the world need extra wool flaps over their hips like they need stilettos in New York in November. No, and nope.

  • Clair Ellis

That is serious coat porn. She looks so much happier in these pictures than all the other pole dance pictures combined.

    • sagecreek

I think that’s because her pole dance is over. She was on Daily Show last night and was unbearably cute (and frankly giddy) about her upcoming ten days off.

    • Erica_Vuitton

She flipped the F out at the end of walking the RC at the NYC premiere, screaming & stomping her feet- she is clearly D.O.N.E. with this current pole dance. It was kinda funny but also kinda sad.

      • marlie

Did she really?!?! That’s a shame. But I’m sure it’s been a rough couple of weeks.

        • Erica_Vuitton

There is video of it around on the more gossip based sites if you are so inclined to find it. Like I said kinda funny because she looks like a child having a tantrum but also sad because for her to break that hard she must just be so done.

          • marlie

Hm. Interesting. Though a lot of sites are saying that it was a joke.

          • Clair Ellis

I can only imagine her level of done-ness for her to throw a tantrum. And honestly after some of the downright HIDEOUS clothes she’s had to wear, I can’t blame her. I know not much in a celebrities life could be that bad, but bad clothes when your the face of a world class fashion house like Dior…that’s flip-the-F-out worthy, to me.

      • Qitkat

I didn’t see that, but I heard, or read, that she actually was hospitalized briefly, and it turned out to be stress. I don’t know the timeline, but it was sometime during the current promotional tour.

  • anotherkate

Coat pornnnnnn! She looks great. It must be liberating to ditch the Dior for the talk shows. Can we talk about how season-inappropriate those shoes are, though? It’s November. It’s cold here in NYC (or at least crisp, but I consider the first hint of coolness in the air an invitation to begin Boot Season. Why would anyone fight the arrival of Boot Season?).

  • Burberry Prorsum is a much better fit for her than Dior.

    • tereliz

Shit, Thakoon is a better fit for her than Dior.

      • decormaven

Heck, anything – including a plastic trash bag- is better for her than Dior. Look how happy and excited she is in this outfit- we never saw that level of joie de vivre on the RC. She knows the Dior isn’t working. Her handlers need to exit her out of that deal, pronto.

  • nannypoo

I think we need to talk about her handlers. The one on her right/our left to be specific.

    • filmcricket

Like JFK Jr came back to squire hot young actresses around. Uh, again.

      • Mismarker

I was actually just looking at pics of JFK Jr. earlier this morning. I had forgotten how handsome he was. Gone too soon and in such a senseless way.

  • jilly_d

    First: DAT COAT.

Second: Do any of the BK’s know what kind of product is required for me to get my hair looking like this? I am growing out a pixie and it’s about to this length – but mine never looks this cute. I have straight, thick hair like Jen but I can never get it to look piece-y yet not helmet-y

    • Mismarker

Styling wax? I used Aveda Control Paste when I had a pixie.

    • conniemd

Looks like her hair has some layering in it. My hair is about that length, but extremely fine, so it always as a flyaway light look to it, the layering definitely makes it look fuller and flirty.

  • Not applicable

    i don’t love the pocket wings…

but this is a look that is both young and sophisticated. jealous.

  • filmcricket

Hello, things that look a gazillion times better than anything Dior’s put on her! I’m not wild about the top, but I don’t like it on the model either. That coat is TO DIE.

  • ThesisMonkey

Something about this coat on her is reading too mature to me, but I don’t know what.

    • Erica_Vuitton

Its the hair it ages her entire look.

  • Mary229

I love the coat. LOVE. But I can’t handle those shoes in November (late November) in New York. Wrong time of year for those shoes on the East Coast.

  • Jacqueline Wessel

I would love to have that coat sans peplum. She looks cute here but the sandals don’t really go with the wool coat.

  • rissa42210

Okay, the coat is gorgeous, but can we please talk about the fact that the buttons look like giant gold nipples?!?!

    • conniemd

That’s because they are actually snaps, which you wouldn’t see when the coat isn’t open 🙂

      • rissa42210

But it is open, and they are so stylized that I can’t help but suspect that they are meant-to-be-seen nipple snaps.

  • Funkykatt

Dang. I would want that coat too but I am 5′ 11″ and those waistlines are always right under my breasts.

  • tallgirl1204

So much more her than Dior.

  • Lisa M. (ReVoir) Kramp

    Oooohh, good coat porn.

  • Erin Cullen

Yeesh – Burberry just suits her so much better than Dior. Catching Fire Poledance could have been a lot more stunning if they shelled out the endorsement cash…

  • Kelly

I love the coat. But the combo of winter coat paired white summer bare-toed sandals (and what look like summer clothes in general) — makes me dizzy. Not in a good way.

  • mmebam

  • MilaXX

    Love everything but the shoe.

  • Miranda

    *slobbers at coat*

  • lobsterlen

    That COAT!!! Gorgeous.

Just looking at those shoes is making my feet cold and wanting to put on a warm pair of alpaca socks.

  • CLoverleaf

HAWT COAT. But…can we please see a woman in a closed shoe in November in New York?

    • broke&fashionable

Exactly! If you need that coat, then girl that is the wrong shoe.

    • lobsterlen

There must be some explanation for all these out of season choices that is always showing up on the red carpet.

  • webslice33

  • Tatiana Luján

I love everything about this, except the shoes. November in NYC isn’t the time to wear sandals.

  • Zuber

Awww….Love it, Its sophisticated, fresh and young! For me this is her best since that haircut! Even the hair looks good!

  • Kathy

This is such a breath of fresh air. I’d replace the shoes with something more seasonally appropriate but, otherwise, it’s a WERQ.

  • I hate how much the Dior thing isn’t working for her.

  • She is SO much better when she’s not in Dior.

  • Mona_Visa

Smashing. I love the shinies on the shoulders of the coat.

  • ellatheingenue

  • FionaTF

Well that is a heck of a lot better than the Dior she has been wearing lately. I wonder if she would have signed the contract w/ Doir if she knew what she would be stuck wearing.

  • SusannaGA

Oh, that coat! (Without the peplum, of course.) But the summery shoes are just crazy.

  • Trickytrisha

She looks genuinely happy. I would be too, in that coat.

  • sweet_potato

I love, love, love that coat. I want one.

  • Jaeda Laurez

No Dior this time?? Thank GOODNESS!!! Girl, That Is Not Your Brand.

  • Danielle

Where can I get the number of the handler in picture one? Woof!

  • Heather

This is “I’ll throw a wool coat over my summer outfit cause it’s November!”. No, still doesn’t make it OK. Cute coat, though.

  • Kate4queen

    Burberry make a great coat.

  • introducing TGIND. thank god it’s not dior.

  • Lilak

    What a relief!

  • mdcoon127

ok, why are sandals ok for JLaw but not Kimye .5?

    • pdquick

      Because they’re not.

  • LeelaST

Hate the shoes with that coat. Hate the faux pocket flaps (?)/peplum (?).

  • frannyprof

    That coat is orgasmic

  • Sandals? In NYC at this time of year? Stupid. I love that coat, though. Want.

  • Froggae

The buttons on that coat make me weep with envy.

  • quiltrx

I’ll take that coat in some other color (that would look awful on me), and tall, dark and handler in the first pic.
And her summery outfit and sandals…do not like.

  • HobbitGirl

WHY with the sandals when it’s almost December?!

  • pdquick

We need a sequel of Serial Mom, where Kathleen Turner re-kills Patty Hearst for wearing sandals in November in New York.

  • yethica
