      Chloe Sevigny meets Lady Edith.

      • Blair Sylvester

that made me smile. so thanks for that

      • Sweetvegan

I was thinking she looks like she could be Chloe’s sister!

    • RussellH88

I kinda like the dress, there’s at least some color to it.

But the hair is a no. I don’t care what time it is, it’s always too early for me to see a mullet.

      • nowlo

My thoughts exactly. I also think the posing is awkward. She looks like she’s afraid the sleeves will fall off. But the dress is striking.

        • cakecakecake

          My thoughts exactly!!!

        • 3boysful

The sleeves SHOULD fall off. Then I’d like it.

      • fursa_saida

The hair AND makeup are really just unflattering to her face. Which makes me sad, because I like her and the dress is great (though it seems like JLaw should be wearing it, as the Girl On Fire, no?)

    • sugarkane105

Ooh I like this. I say she’s Best Dressed at this premiere.

      • marlie

Honestly, she didn’t have much competition. But I do like the dress.

        • sugarkane105

Too bad she fucked up the hair.

    • Diego!

Gorgeous dress, but blond it’s not her color!

    • lobsterlen

Love the dress. HATE the hair.

      • anneland

Not wild about the dress. HATE the hair.

    • http://www.luxperdiem.com/ Paige @ LPD

      the hair ruins it.

    • gabbilevy

Girl that’s not your haircolor. In fact, it’s throwing off the whole look and making it impossible for me to decide if I like the dress on her.

      • Shannon Beamer

Yes- it’s the worst! So much prettier with darker hair.

      • EveEve

Which hair color? I’m counting at least four of them. None of them good.

    • Jessica Freeman

You know, without the tassels on the arms, I could get behind this. Much better than her co-stars.

    • leahpapa

The dress might be a bit on the nose for the premiere of a film called “Catching Fire,” but I’d say this is close to a personal best for her.

    • Nancer

That hairdo is just ugly. Not that the dress is all that much better, but really – the hair is killing this.

    • http://www.youtube.com/user/TheOctocornNetwork International Model

I never remember who she is but I will now. That is a statement dress.

    • Not applicable

catching fire indeed! She took this on like it was a Project Runway challenge!

(btw- anyone else think this looks like the Katniss dress from HG #1.)

    • TrixieConQueso

Um, didn’t one of those Miss Universe gals wear this with a bigass Feathered Head-Dress? No? Oh gawd – they are all running together in the tiny space I have left in my Blonde Brain.

    • Sobaika

Did the ends of her hair break off? Did she soak them in liquid nitrogen?

      • charlotte

Something terrible must have happened to them during the Hunger Games.

    • Latin Buddy

This dress is ONLY working for me because of her MAJOR bitchface and attitude.

    • Imasewsure

Hate the sleeves… hate hate hate the hair but the color (of the dress) is nice

    • marlie

I’m not in love with the dress, but JLaw should have been wearing THIS. Sure, it might be a little bit too literal considering the character she plays, but it could have worked for her.

Jena looks good, but I don’t like the too-matchy lipstick, and while I like the idea of the hair, the execution is a little off.

    • http://www.what-the-frock.com Dana WhatTheFrock

I kind of like this. WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME?

      • http://skreened.com/bkcentral Sarah

It ain’t that bad. What is wrong is the hair, which should not be seen or spoken of ever again.

    • YousmelllikeAnnaWintour

      Fringe much?

    • BrooklynBomber

      Cher meets Gypsy Rose Lee?
Lampshade meets Kiss of the Spider Woman?
      King Kong meets palm tree?
      Devo meets Miss Kitty?

      That’s all I’ve got.

      • http://dontmakeitlikeimdumb.blogspot.com/ annabelle archer

Devo meets Miss Kitty is brilliant.

        • BrooklynBomber

          :) Thanks.

      • Danielle

You said Lampshade and now all I see is the Leg of Lamp. It’s a MAJOR AWARD.

    • MilaXX

Not bad, but the shoes are too heavy.

    • http://skreened.com/bkcentral Sarah

Hair = Potato Stix. Nay. If she just woulda tucked that biz up, I would be on board. Oh, and maybe not matchy lips.

    • Clueless_Jock

This dress needs a plunging neckline.

    • SugarSnap108

If the dress were sleeveless (or arm-fringeless), I’d really like it. Her hair is offending my senses, though. And is that a black platform pump I see peeking out?

      • marlie

Glad I’m not the only one who noticed the shoe. That shoe is all wrong.

    • sagecreek

I don’t know who she is, but she is working the hell out of that dress.

    • Sam Smith

Why is Jenna wearing the “girl on fire” dress and Jennifer had that tragic sparkly tablecloth number?

      • jjjoy

        jlaw got shown up!

    • Shamrockjulie

Those black nails and shoes make it look like a Halloween outfit. I seriously can’t stand black and orange together. Slap on a pair of TLo’s dreaded nude pumps and change the nails to anything lighter and you got a decent look. As it stands now I want to put a candle underneath the dress and see what kind of candy I can get.

    • lbl

      Surprised this is on Whiteboard.

She’s annoying me in the photos. The styling is gross, especially the hair and shoes, but the dress is great and she wears it well.

    • MissFern

      so so beautiful!

    • OrigamiRose

Is it wrong I’m hoping we get to see Lynn Cohen (aka Magda from “Sex and the City”) strutting on the red carpet for this film? Like, I have no interest in seeing this movie, but I’m so excited for her to be in it.

    • http://dontmakeitlikeimdumb.blogspot.com/ annabelle archer

She is cracking me up with her displays of emotional range in these pics. We have bitchy, smug, prim, coy, intense. None of which are getting me past that horrific hair. I know some are liking this dress, but I am not among them. This entire post has me actively irritated at an actress I previously had good will towards.

      • OrigamiRose

I think Nick, the old WNTW stylist, did that hair. You are kind to call it horrific ;)

        • demidaemon

That’s just sad. I, too, hate the hair with the fire of a thousand suns. The dress I am not sure about. In some photos I like it; in others, it is way too fringy.

    • LondonMarriott

      Here’s your Girl on Fire.

PS this makes me really miss the Evan Rachel Wood glory days.

    • crash1212

Girl, that is not your hairstyle. The fashion-face-mugging is pretty amusing though. Dress is OK.

    • Danielle

      Loathe and detest that hairstyle.

    • amf0001

there is something weird about her arms here, so stiff and glued to her side. Even akimbo they are weird. They are weirding me out even more than her hair.

    • http://gabyrippling.tumblr.com/ Gaby

That hair is so bad, and the makeup looks simultaneously pancakey and low-key, impressively. It’s a pity because the dress is great, and I think Jena could really rock some high drag.
ETA: From the neck up, it’s all “Maybe I’ll meet a cute fellow divorcee at the kids’ karate match.”

    • Qitkat

This is a beautiful dress, but that is such an odd hairstyle.

    • Sarah Thomas

“You want a girl on fire? I’ll give you a girl on fire, bitches.”

      • decormaven

I think it’s more like Hair on Fire. Something singed those ends.

    • Jacqueline Wessel

Actually looks like she might be “catching fire”.

    • http://frankbettecenter.org/ sleah_in_norcal

this is a beautiful gown, but it would look better without the “sleeves”. that would tone down the heavy fringe on the bottom. the color is fab. too bad her hair is echoing the fringe as well.

    • Trickytrisha

She looks like she’s smelling something unpleasant in several of those pics. I certainly hope the hairstylist is headed to treatment, ’cause that hair is scary bad. The dress is great, but probably better on someone who would do it justice… sry, Jena.

    • Ediths_Head

      Crotching Fire.

    • Stella Zawistowski

The fabric pattern certainly does have Capitol overtones to it without being too literal. Great dress for the event. Cringing at the hair, though.

    • João Bruno

Looks like someone is ready for some cha cha cha!

    • Kate4queen

      oh lordy…

    • kimmeister

      Girl, that’s not your head.

    • jspark

Enough with the chin, put it back where it belongs.

    • nannypoo

      She’s in costume, right?

    • boweryboy

She’s trying her hardest to give face. Bless her little heart.

    • GSMSF

      Lining! Yay!

    • TinaBelchersawkwardmoan

But shouldn’t The Girl on Fire be wearing this? It’s very Katniss.

    • ThaliaMenninger

Love, exciting and new. Come aboard… We’re expecting you… Yeah, she looks like she’s going to be at the Captain’s table on the Love Boat. Sorry!

    • BuffaloBarbara

Wait, I get it. She and Elizabeth Banks are doing a flame-like clothing thing, right? And they couldn’t get JLaw on board for some reason? Is the woman playing Mags wearing red, orange, or yellow?

Hair style is terrible. Hair bleaching is a par for the course Hollywood bleach job. Anyone else sick of seeing bleached hair? Even the natural blondes are doing it. I’d like to see some ladies sporting natural locks. Let’s make that a thing, okay?

    • rissa42210

Girlfriend and that dress are werking hard… too hard. It’s getting a little lea michelle in here. it’s distracting. also, what the hell is that abomination of a shoe peeking out from underneath?!

    • Milos Mom

      That hair…. NO. ::sigh::

    • Calinda_L

When did Jenna Malone become Evan Rachel Wood?

    • lunchcoma

I’m confused by the hair, but that’s a great dress.

    • KT

      Haha! HA!

    • unbornfawn

She’s working the dress. The hair is all kinds of wrong and she needs to work on her facial expressions for the camera.

    • bertkeeter

MISS KITTY from GUNSMOKE called…wants her lampshade back! MAYBE, just MAYBE w/o those old lady sleeves and IF the fringe was not just stuck on all in one straight line but feathered in …it MAY have worked! MAY have!

    • quiltrx

I seem to be in the minority, but I think that’s one hell of a stunning gown! I like it better in the original red-over-orange but it’s very cool.

    • suzq

I’m taking scissors to the fringe and you can’t stop me.

    • kt

      Girl on Fire?
