    Serving up Maleficent realness.

    • NYCGlamourpuss

Mmm hmmm – pimp that movie, girl! She looks fabulous!

  • charlotte

She’s dressing in character, but I like it. This is definitely an Angelina dress.

  • carlaaxtman

Yeah…it’s pretty. Very Angelina. But damn, she’d rock the shit out of that if it was a jade color.

    • Josefina Madariaga Suárez

But Maleficent doesn’t do color. Other than reds and purples, that is.

  • River

Love it. It’s very her and impeccably done.

  • Celandine1

OMG BKs Angie brushed her hair!

  • Sobaika

Remember when she was pregnant and wore that acid green number?

    Good times.

  • alyce1213

I’m normally not impressed with her clothing choices, they’re predictable.
THIS I LOVE! It’s a softer, gentler look for her (even in Maleficent black). She looks amazing.

    • StillGary

I was thinking this dress was almost sweet — if Angelina Jolie was ever going to do “sweet.”

  • TrixieConQueso

If I got close to Her, I would be like that gal in the last picture with these thoughts…”OMG. SO WANT TO TOUCH HER. Must Not. Forcing my hand to STAY DOWN.”

  • Kristin McNamara

I would say she is definitively NOT “pulling a Jolie” in this one! Best I’ve seen her look in ages! Way to go, Ang! 🙂

  • demidaemon

  • Its an Angelina WERQ. Perfect.

  • cakecakecake

Her arms are scary thin though!

    • I agree. It makes me wonder if she’s well, she’s so thin.

    • Kat

We don’t talk about body weight on this site. Simple as that. Comment on the fashion, please.

      • cakecakecake

Although the “scary thin” comment implies that I was referring to “body weight,” I was actually referring more to how frail her body looks and how it makes me worry about her health. It’s not like I said she looks anorexic…anyways, Kat, we talk about bodies here all the time. In fact, go look at the JLaw post.

        • Your comment was against the rules here. Please don’t do it again. We do not “talk about bodies all the time” here; not to disparage them.

      • gina1953

so you’re not concerned about the long discussion below about “tit balls,” but the subject of weight offends you? simple as that?

        • cakecakecake

“tit balls.” haha, still can’t get over that one!

        • She’s letting you know that the subject of weight is off limits here and will get you banned from the comments section if you make an issue of it. It has nothing to do with what offends her.

  • I keep staring at her breasts because I’m curious to see if she will be cursed with tit balls.

    • imspinningaround

I do it too. Every red carpet or paparazzi photo I see of her since that op-ed I scrutinize her boobs. I’m what’s wrong with the celebrity-industrial complex.

    • Erica

OK, now I’m left wondering what gets one kicked off a FM forum. I’m a big fan, but the possibilities are making me giggle. Lindsay’s face work? Stevie’s? What?

      • It was during one of Lindsey’s solo tours (he’s had face work?!). I gave a recap of one of the concerts and mentioned a drunk and vocal girl in the crowd (this was a very tiny venue). Someone wanted to know if she was wearing a cowboy hat – as it was on trend to make fun of the girl in the cowboy hat. I said no, but she had a cancerous looking mole on her face (that wasn’t a joke) and got run out because cancer is never funny, but not before they went over to my social media and decided I was more fun to make fun of than the girl in the cowboy hat.

Turned me off of message boards for a long time.

        • Erica

Mmm. Interesting. My husband and I saw him in Ft Worth TX within the past year. He was great, don’t remember a drunk girl in a Stetson–although that would be pretty normal there–but I think he’s for sure had some work done. I still adore him. I’m sorry folks were mean…

          • That whole thing happened when MySpace was still cool, but it left an impression.

My world is right now changing and wondering why he didn’t prioritize hair plugs with the idea that he has had work done…

    • MilaXX

If you get good ones they don’t. I had a friend who had a double mastectomy who saw a specialist out of state. She got a relatively normal B cup and they look really good.

      • kmk05

Agreed. So did my aunt (she got a C cup), and they look natural.

In France, C-cups are the most you can get for reconstructive surgery, apparently. it was strange for my aunt because her actual breasts were a cup or two bigger!

        • My mum decided not to have reconstruction, because she would have had to have her healthy breast reduced about 5 cup sizes to match the bionic boob and decided she’d had quite enough of surgery.

          • kmk05

The reconstructive surgeries can be dangerous too 🙁 I definitely see where your mum is coming from! My aunt had a double mastectomy (one breast had tumours, the other not), because France is ‘preventative’: they also put in the implants at the same time as they remove both your breasts.

What do I mean, ‘implants’? Bionic boobs is so much better!

    • Fordzo

This dress makes them look very big and full, especially on her tiny frame. Has she said if she’s had reconstructive surgery yet (not a big Brad and Angie fan, so I didn’t follow the news very closely)?

I can’t remember, are you supposed to get implants that are slightly bigger than you want to end up with, or slightly smaller? Does it have something to do with swelling? Am I hallucinating about a Dr. 90210 episode from a decade ago? I hope someone wears a really short dress next, so we can talk about vaginal rejuvenation. I’ve been wanting to bring it up for a while.

      • Kimbolina

I think with a lot of double mastectomies now, they do (or at least start) the reconstructive surgery right when they remove the breast tissue. I think I remember reading somewhere that’s what Angie did? So I guess they try to do the bulk of the work all at once and then maybe a follow-up surgery or something after things have healed more and they have a better idea of how things are looking? Not sure about the implants but I think reconstructive surgeries are done differently than regular old breast augmentation surgeries.

        • cheesebomb

Apparently she went with what is known as an “implant reconstructive procedure” (which I’ve heard is becoming more popular with young women). They put a temporary implant in when they do the removal, stretch it gradually with fluid to allow the skin and muscle around it to adjust. Then they go in again and swap it out for a permanent implant. It takes a few months, depending on what other treatment the woman may be receiving for cancer (chemo, radiation, etc.). From what I understand, it apparently allows for, depending on if it is preventative or after cancer has appeared and the extent of the cancer, women to keep more of their own tissue, better and faster healing, smaller scars, etc.

  • decormaven

The first shot looks so stiff, but gets so much better as the frames progress. Love how the hair is styled, so appropriate for the gown.

  • bertkeeter

  • Nikko Viquiera

WOW!! I can’t wait for next year when she goes all out in promoting this movie! She looks absolutely beautiful.

  • Jessica Freeman

It needs a bit of editing from the navel up. She looks fantastic, otherwise.

  • elzatelzabelz

A black dress on Angelina, what a surprise.

  • eowyn_of_rohan

She looks gorgeous. And I have to say I let out an embarrassing squee when I saw photos of Maddox accompanying her, sporting a tux and looking really proud of his mama. It was just too cute.

  • conniemd

She looks beautiful and that’s an incredible updo. Naomi Harris, this is how you do it with a gown to show off the back.

  • Her speech was truly lovely. I wasn’t feeling the love from the cut to Brad shots though, it was weird. This is a gorgeous dress, glad it isn’t shapeless, even though it is so full. I hope she brings the Drama! when the Maleficent pole dance actually begins.

  • Kelly

I’m afraid I’ll have to be the lone nay-sayer here. From the back, she looks lovely. But from the front, the dress looks matronly, her hair looks too skinned-back, and the makeup makes her look too pale, shiny, and washed-out.

  • You can call it dressing in character, if you like, but this is still Angie wearing yet another black dress.

  • HeatherMcIlrath

    she looks incredible!

  • Trickytrisha

Saint Angie is looking good, if gaunt, here, although I’m not nuts about the dress, especially the bodice. It’s like an advertisement for her upcoming film. Also, is her hair a few shades lighter than usual? It’s more golden brown than I remember. Nice back of the hair here, but not so much the front. The earrings are blah.

  • Diego!

WERQ from head to toe. Angelina you rock!

  • MilaXX

The dress is boring as ever, but I really like her hair and makeup. Those are great lashes she’s wearing and they play her eye shape up nicely.

  • BP180

I know we’re not supposed to body snipe here, but she is soooo thin! Is she okay? The mastectomy was preventative, right?

    • Kat

She’s always been pretty thin. I recall some Bio special or something on her and they showed her from her youth. From infancy through adulthood she was always quite thin. She also always had those beautiful lips. But, yes, I think that she’s just naturally thin and certain poses/outfits/hairstyles may accentuate that fact.

  • CeeRich

    Beautiful and elegant.

  • MGMcD

Standard Angie, but if it aint broke don’t fix it. I do think maybe a little powder wouldn’t go amiss here…

  • marlie

This is a gorgeous dress. I’m rather impressed with Angie. Sure, it’s black, but I love the fact that it’s not just a bed sheet wrapped around her.

  • quiltrx

Gorgeous dress, and I think she looks lovely in it. I think it’s appropriate for the event, and the beading is stunning.

  • Just about the most toned-down Versace ever. So toned down, in fact, that it’s become a rather boring Versace, and THAT’S hard to accomplish. The soft chignon is a nice change from Angelina’s default flowing locks. She looks a little wan and somewhat fragile, though: she’s making my professional nurse antennae twitch.

    • BlueBell42

She’s hungry. That’s what it is. Get her a milkshake and a cheeseburger for the love of God!

  • GillianHolroyd

Looking a bit severe here. A little color on the face would not go amiss.

  • kmk05

…Am I the only one who’s not a fan? Her face is shiny, as if her makeup just slid off, and the dress is (I can’t believe I’m saying this) too matronly. Or maybe the fact that she’s blending into the background on my screen is making me cranky.

    • Malve Lyborg

      Same here!

  • ConnieBV

    I can’t believe this is a Versace.

    • YousmelllikeAnnaWintour

Neither can I. It’s so beautiful and elegant. (Are we SURE it is Versace?)

  • crash1212

It’s black, of course, but at least there’s some sparkle and shape to it. I actually really like this look. Love the hair. Wonder why she’s so shiny, but it’s not a deal breaker. She looks pretty.

  • MaggieMae

I think she has to be careful to choose dresses that do not to highlight how gaunt she has been appearing. So, in some ways the dress works for her. It widens her shoulders, covers up some of those bones, and gives her a waist/hips.

Maybe it’s the pulled back hair or make-up that tips this into me-no-like territory. She’s very beautiful, and on paper, it’s a beautiful dress, but something is off.

  • formerlyAnon

Out of the park, if a bit more structured than I’m used to seeing her in. As she gets older, her tendency to be very thin is going to be aging. But fortunately she has one of the most awesomely proportioned skulls ever.

  • LJCdoc

    She looks like Maleficent.

    Oh, wait. I get it.

  • S J

She looks beautiful. Perfect for the event.

  • princessricky

damn that is a gorgeous woman

  • She’s looking more and more like her mother as she ages. Just goes to show – bone structure is everything. Girl’s gonna look this good at 80.

  • tintashoopa

The dress is beautiful and she looks beautiful but how incongruous are those tattoos?

Plus, I’m sorry, she is stunning but I can’t get over how gaunt she looks. Give that woman a hamburger!!

  • heuristicvalue

Always gorgeous. I love the back of the dress especially.

  • guest2visits

The back is much more graceful looking than the front, somehow appears dowdy and heavy at the bust – but up close Angelina is quite beautiful.

  • Akmall Razlan

She has aged gracefully, and yes, she is not like she used to *a little chubby, but who could deny that she does have that star quality with her. Look at her now, she is still amazing, the dress is amazing but she is still beautiful and poised. Love her and miss her.
