Oh, yes PLEASE. Not the ones with eyes on, though. I really want the yellow and pink one. But I wouldn’t say no to most of them.

  • Madam Von Sassypants

  • Ms_Flyover

Rather classic silhouettes with interesting details & colors – in many instances, the sort of thing you could buy and still carry 5 years later. This is uplifting, since this means I’ll be able to afford one (preferably #4 or #9) on ebay or at a flea market sometime in 2015.

  • Imasewsure

I say Nay (except to the plain croc bags which are great) but I love the socks and bracelets!

    • Sarah

I adore the socks. I don’t carry a bag, but now I’m on board with these, because I think they look good with the socks. The socks rule my world.

  • hughman

Although I doubt she’d get the Alex Katz references, I bet Marsha Brady would love to own some of these.

    • JR Labrador

Alex Katz? Isn’t he the geometry teacher at Fillmore Jr. High?

      • hughman

Alex Katz is an iconic portrait painter who was big in the 70s and 80s.

        • JR Labrador

Sadly, I’m old enough to remember.

          • hughman

Lol! I couldn’t tell if you were joking or not. 😉

          • JR Labrador

No worries. Thanks to you, I just found out he’s still alive.

        • decormaven

Don’t you just wish something like this would appear again? Love!

          • AmeliaEve

I remember that building! I love the theater marquees with the X-rated movies. You know, back when Times Square was Times Square.

    • rh33

I thought Alex Katz with a touch of Peter Maxx.

  • Camp Fire Girl chic!

    • RoseJB

Yes! These bags have Moonrise Kingdom written all over them.

  • decormaven

The bags are acceptable, but the wrist adornments have got to go.

    • charlotte

The prices have got to go, too.

      • Wait, there were price tags on them? ….. Ohhhhh.

  • Jessica Freeman

Most of the solids/croc ones I love. The ones with the paintings and shit…no. Been there, done that.

    • somebody blonde

I’ve got to say, this argument puzzles me. Have we somehow not seen croc purses in solid colors before? Is there really anything in purses that is worth doing that hasn’t been done before? If it’s okay to do purses in classic shapes in normal materials in solid colors, why isn’t it okay to do paintings again?

      • Jessica Freeman

For me personally, it’s because I didn’t like it the first time around.

  • mjude

I was excited for a minute. I love a vintage look but this is not doing it for me. NAY

  • YousmelllikeAnnaWintour

I love them all except the big, blue Bedazzled number. Third picture.

  • Donyelle

nay. Looks 2 and 7 look like a 70s tv morning show’s backdrop. “Look at vintage my Morning Milwaukee crocodile purse!”

  • MilaXX

I like all of them except the blue with the jewels on them. The others look fun and quirky, that one just looks like someone went nuts with a hot glue gun.

    • Evan

I saw the Prada and Schiaparelli exhibit at the Met last year and I came away very disappointed with the Prada stuff because so much of it had crap like that clumped on it. Like you said, it’s like someone went crazy with the hot glue gun. It’s very distracting to the overall design and my friend and I thought it looked like a kindergartner did their craft project on the clothes and accessories.

      • MilaXX

I saw that exhibit. For some reason I didn’t mind it seeing it set up like that. It’s when it’s presented as something an actual human would wear/carry that it’s just cray to me.

  • NYCGlamourpuss

OMG, YEA! Yea! Did I say yea? Because – yea! I want that very first bag so badly that I can hear my wallet weeping from inside my knapsack that I’m not worthy.

  • yay all the way.

  • lalahartma

    Mostly nay.

  • JR Labrador

5th one down totally looks like Alyssa Milano.

  • marlie

Quite a few of these – especially the larger ones – are droolworthy. LOVE.

  • Kate4queen

I like the more classic shapes and colors but I’m not sold on the funky graphic ones.

  • Snailstsichr

I looked at the last one and thought, “Now I’d really be organized if I had that bag!” I relish these little bits of fantasy. I like the alligator and leather bags and the faces are cute, but would wear out their welcome pretty fast. The bedazzled one sticks out like a sore thumb, though.

  • mmebam

I’m not a big fan of the shape, but I do appreciate the bright colors and graphic quality.

  • Yea, sez I.

  • Noah

    Nay. Tacky.

  • VioletFem

YEA! I’ve rarely been onboard with Prada’s apparel, but the purses are usually on point.

  • YoungSally

Bags are way better than those 70s-80s bedazzled tube socks…..I just get the Jr High gym locker creeps around those.

  • Nancer

Nope. Not feeling these. D—d if I would spend several thousand dollars on a bag that looks like it was from a low rent mall shop.

  • Jennifer McGuire

Love some of these. The classic shape of the bag with the chevron detail is great, but the chevron looks like panties and I cannot unsee that. The black/taupe bag with the red strap needs to be mine, however.

  • Levedi

Does anyone else see Iron Man in the last bag?

I love these though – beautiful bags with structure to them that actually look usable.

  • Ann VerWiebe

I like all of them – and would totally carry one – if it didn’t cost as much as my car.

  • filmcricket

    Overall? Yea and YAY. Gimme.

  • swanpride

Yea…while some of them are more on the tacky site, there is something to say for bolt colours and some playfulness. And I kind of dig the first one. I wish the pop-art aspect were as strong with all of them.

  • tereliz

The Crayola croc skin bags are cute. REALLY HATE the ones with faces.

  • Tanya Wade

I know an artist who gets old bags from thrift stores and paints faces on them, too. So, um, it’s not exactly reinventing the wheel.

  • Lilithcat

    Yes! Definitely!

  • DuBey2

Ah hah ha ha… Sorry, I’m too busy laughing at the tube socks and dangling feather bracelets to notice the bags which those items seem to be ‘pointing’ to.

  • Josefina Madariaga Suárez

I’m willing to volunteer as a tribute on the Hunger Games for the first purse.

  • kimmeister

Yea, for most part. My favorite is the green and white one.

  • Cameron Turner

    Nay… No..

  • Everything is forgiven as long as they give me the black/red/white one. GORGEOUS.

  • MandyM

The fifth from the bottom, the red, white, and black one, is loverly! Some of the rest of them are cool too but others look like very expensive little kid lunchboxes.

  • rebeemoon

Love the ones with face portraits. Sorry, just do.

  • Trickytrisha

Hate the faces. Most of the others are pretty damned Yea. The blue with gold “gems” is approaching atrocious though.

  • Lisa M. (ReVoir) Kramp

Handbags: My drug of choice. And usually just the name ‘Prada’ makes me tingly in the right places. But except for the black bag that looks like an upside down open book (tingle!) and the color block bags, I am not feeling this collection. Nay.

  • Something about the colors and prints screams “TROPICALIA” to me. Brazil in the 60s. Huh.

  • somebody blonde

I love every single one except the blue one with all the gold crap tacked on. That one is just awful. I love all the faces and circle ones especially.

  • ShaoLinKitten

I like all of them except the bedazzled one.

  • conniemd

yea. Except for the faces. Love the bright colors.

  • Christy Bishop Cricow

    Yea, ESPECIALLY the faces!!

  • Nicole Little

When they’re good, they’re boring, and when they’re interesting, they’re not very good. I like the black one with the red stripe, but not more than most purses in upscale windows, so NAY.

  • trisker

    LOVE every single one!

  • bertkeeter

  • Bold, graphic, still practical and usable as a purse. I’m a YAY.

  • teensmom99

Yea–though I don’t think I could ever spend a gazillion dollars on a fancy version of a kindergarteners dress up bag (the one with the sun).

  • AmeliaEve

I am loving the two-tone ones. I am a sucker for spectator-styled anything.

  • RoseJB

Yes to all but the faces. I had an Audrey Hepburn face bag once (and LOVED it). But it was tacky as shit.

  • formerlyAnon

    YEA. YEA. YEA.

I personally prefer #9 (black with red strap) because I am conditioned to buy versatile purses that get a lot of use. But if I actually had the money for Prada, I am strangely liking the ones with faces and the also the huge faux jewels (#3).

  • Kent Roby

The orange croc is awesome; most of the others are either too crafty or creepy (the faces) to warrant their huge prices. NAY.

  • CatherineRhodes

  • mdcoon127

  • MoreShoes

    nah….they don’t speak to me.

  • ThaliaMenninger

Nay. I like the one that looks like it has Alyssa Milano’s face on it, but otherwise… Trying too hard to be all mod and pop.

  • Tashina Savage

I will take one of each! I love them all. Ugh, life sucks when you are poor.

  • altissima

Why Y-fronts???? (Look again. Once seen, cannot be unseen.)

  • demidaemon

Yea. Most of these are cute, but, of course, they need to be well-deployed.

  • MuellersDayOff

Overall, I like them, but some look like bikini briefs on the front? Like, 3rd to last pic? Can’t get past that.

  • anotherkate

Yea! Although I could live without faces on my purse, I love everything else.

  • SusannaGA

Yea. Mostly for the green & white, blue & white, and pink & yellow. Very sharp. I don’t know how I feel about the faces — sort of like them (they’re pretty), sort of don’t (they’re tacky).
