Sandra Bullock in Stella McCartney at “Gravity” Screening

Posted on October 11, 2013

All right. Fine. You win, Sandy.

Sandra Bullock attends a screening of “Gravity” during the 2013 BFI London Film Festival at Odeon Leicester Square in London in a Stella McCartney lace dress paired with Charlotte Olympia peep-toe pumps.

When a a near-50 gal looks like THAT in a lace micro-mini and fuck-me pumps, these two fashion queens need to sit the fuck down and shut the fuck up.

It doesn’t matter a bit that the dress is kinda bleh. What she’s doing to that dress is all that matters.

We also appreciate that someone gave her hair a little life and bounce to it. More of that, please.

Pft. As if anyone’s looking at her hair.

She is turning the party. I love it.

  • flamingoNW

She looks fab. Love the dress.

  • Jessica Freeman

An acceptable Stella. Hell has frozen over. I don’t love the shoes, but I do see a slight wave in her hair, so there is some progress there. She is wearing that dress very well.

    • jen_vasm

I was all prepared to go into RipStella mode, but the dress is passable. I also love Sandy’s choice of lipstick.

      • demidaemon

It’s funny that a Stella dress that we can all agree is fine is really nothing noteworthy, design-wise. Of course, that also means it isn’t over-designed to the hilt, as is her usual MO.

  • SewingSiren

The mono toe is scaring me. I’m gonna have a nightmare tonight, I just know.

    • Ginny Ellsworth

I have a scrap of Carolina Herrera fabric I can send you. It could be used as a night-night (blankie).

    • conniemd

My 28 year old daughter went gonzo over the shoes as she was sitting on the couch next to me when this came up. I gotta agree with others she is serving it and nobody could say “age inappropriate” to Sandy. You go girl.

  • mjude

    she looks great.

  • Serving it UP!!

  • Gurllll…that’s some JBF hair, right there. That plus her siren’s lip color going on above all that leg? Wowza!!

    • Lucía Gavello

I’m a straight gal and this almost counts as sausage friday for me… just HAWT

      • Took the words right off of my keyboard, lady.

  • anabel22

    Shut up. Beautiful, classy, goddess.
    Love the dark lipstick too

  • marlie

Sandy looks gorgeous here. Simply beautiful. I love everything about this: the dress (Stella M?!), her makeup and hair, and those shoes. Plus – her LEGS. Brava.

    • Guest

Really? Someone downvoted a comment that was all compliments?

      • marlie

        OK, now I can’t delete this. {grumble}

      • ^That’s my down vote. ‘Cuz I’m a smart ass and I luv ya!

        • marlie

I hadn’t had my second cup of coffee yet, and I was a crankypants with trigger fingers. 😛

  • decormaven

Oh for a pretty ring on the finger! That’s all this needs for a total WERQ. That’s a minor quibble; she looks fab.

  • nptexas

Her legs & feet & knees look better than many who are 20-30 yrs younger that I have seen on red carpets. Hate the dress but that’s just me. She looks great!

  • NBG

I like to think this is Sandy’s payback for everyone mocking her leggings from the other day. Having gams like that truly is the best revenge!

  • A Shiny O’Connor

Not feeling the drag-special pumps, or the coarse McFugney lace.

Send this whole look over to Xtina.

  • Adrianna Grężak

Perfect example of when a nay-outfit looks great because the person owns it

  • filmcricket

I dislike pretty much everything about this, actually, except the lipstick. However, looking at her legs, I too am shutting up.

  • Rebecca Clifford

Even though I am so, so over the platform shoes, damn does she look stunning. And the lipstick. Glorious.

  • Good hair, GREAT legs. More Jeanne Tripplehorn than Marcia Gay Harden today, I think.

  • Annarosa

dislike the shoes but she’s stunning!

    • 3boysful

      I despise the shoes.

  • E2_Remote

Like the head, dress is so-so, LOVE the legs, but WTF are those attached to the bottoms of her shoes, hockey pucks?

  • Jennifer Peters-Ahnberg

    Damn, girl!

  • anotherkate

I kind of hate all the pieces of this look individually, but they are more than the sum of their parts. She looks great! (I watched Gravity last night and she gave an incredible performance. Also, the cinematographer was intent on proving to me with every other shot that she doesn’t have an ounce of fat on her, and has some of the most covetable muscles EVER).

  • ashtangajunkie

A lace dress – a Stella McCartney lace dress – and she looks amazing. SB wins today.

  • Glam Dixie

    Those LEGS, Damn!

  • eowyn_of_rohan

Lord have mercy. You can get it any time you please, Sandy B.

  • SugarSnap108

My god, a successful Stella McCartney deployment. I actually think the dress is just OK, and I’d normally say the skirt’s a bit too short. But DAYUM. I’m 15 years younger than this woman and couldn’t hope to have my legs look that slammin.

  • Jean Genetic

Look at the kid in the picture 3. “Dat a55!” He’s definitely not gonna grow up to be a T&L fan!

    • tereliz

“Wait, Mom, you mean that lady is OLDER than you?” *little mind blown*

  • Slade Thunderdragon

  • crash1212

WERQ. Also…stunning. I love the dress, which makes my head explode because Stella.

  • Aidan B

Serving! And in Stella, no less!

  • Scimommy

I love how the kid in the back is staring at her legs as if mesmerized.

    • Fannie Wolston

ya gotta wonder the parents are saying into his ear at that moment…See that’s Louie’s mommy, remember louie, Huh do you, honey?

  • Lisa M. (ReVoir) Kramp

She looks fab…but that’s a lot of spackle on a gorgeously structured face that doesn’t really need it.

  • Joanna

    She looks amazing!

  • Tamara Hogan

BOOM. That sound you hear is Sandy, dropping the mic. ‘Nuff said.

  • nannypoo

I don’t like the dress and it’s a little too short, but she looks great anyway. Her hair and makeup are beautiful.

  • Her hair looks better here, but she’s on the cover of this month’s Vogue or Bazaar or something and she’s sporting a shag cut that looks stunning. Her short hair in the Gravity movie is mighty cute, too. She should seriously consider keeping the short ‘do.

  • ThaliaMenninger

Fab Sandy came out to play. The dress is stunning on her and her legs look incredible. I love her lip color, too.

  • Janet B

    Gorgeous from the ankles up.

  • MilaXX

    She looks great full stop.

  • Is it just me or does she look eerily like Ashley Greene in that first photo?

    • Oh good Lord, now we’ll never get rid of Ashley Greene. Don’t encourage her.

  • Sara Brams-Miller

LOVE the dress. STELLA MCCARTNEY PEOPLE! Y’all are haters.

  • seelebrennt

she looks AMAZING. werk it, girl!

  • stubbornthoughts

I fall in love with her more with age, which is impressive considering I’ve loved her hard since Speed.

The young ‘uns are looking stupid compared to Sandy. This is how you look hot, sexy, and classically sophisticated.

  • Bold lips make me happy.

    • They are everywhere this season. This is the best deployment I’ve seen so far. I like Tilda’s too. But sometimes I see the lady’s rocking that 90s burgundy stain and it just reads dated. It’s a hard look to update.

  • kmk05

    FUCK YES. Fabulosity all around.

  • Tina Power

She looks tonnes better in that dress than Aniston would

  • bellafigura1

Absolutely gorgeous, and I am thrilled to see long hair, a nearly-scandalously short skirt, and fuck-me heels that we women of a certain age are not supposed to be wearing lest it imply that we still like/want sex. She’s shutting that down, BAM.

  • Denise Alden

Holy cow. She has never looked better. Bonus for your gays, honey: big bonus.

  • padma sallah

Nailed it and nailed it good. She looks absolutely amazing.

  • Jacqueline Wessel

    Wow, love this.

  • bertkeeter

KILLER legs! ONLY thing i’d do w this look is to shorten the sleeves an inch…or tad more.

  • webslice33

    great LEGS!

  • CKMia

This is a testament to the concept of WERQ: the fact that I hate the dress and the shoes and yet I think she looks amazing. Go figure.

  • xmixiex

she. looks. FIERCE. best ever, maybe. i never though she was particularly head turning, but this is killer.
and my god, i actually like the stella.

  • jen

She looks amazing. I need to find out what she’s doing and start doing it immediately!

  • Matthew Davie

Is it just me or does the whole thing make her look a little….thick? I know she has a stunning body so it must just be the optics or something.

  • ThesisMonkey

love her hair. WANT her legs.

  • neonseattle

This is how you age gracefully in Hollywood.

  • Darva Sutra

Oohed over her hair, right after the LEGS. This is oh so much better than the pin-straight style she wears so often for events. Healthier, MUCH more youthful and flattering to her face. People, the pin-straight fad went out like 5 years ago thankfully! It flatters so few. Stop it already!

Unless you are one of those women who never move on from that one dated style (mall bangs, feathering, teasing, sets and so forth back into the dawn of time).

Or if you are a living legend/character i.e. my avatar Patsy.

    • demidaemon

      An avatar which I ADORE!

  • Sonia Perez

I looked at her hair [after tearing my eyes away from her perfect legs] – LOVE the waves & highlights, must do!

  • lalahartma

    Cute, but a bit short.

  • poggi

I admit looked at her hair first. I love it with a little body to it. And then i noticed that in that dress she has a lot of body going on, She looks great.

  • Fannie Wolston

Can tell It’s cold and rainy and the Star has to show up in a mini you can’t sit down in….typical. But she shines. I see SB’s knight is near by with bumbershoot.

  • Danielle

  • Tracy_Flick

And now I’m crippled by shoe lust. She looks stunning and I must have those pumps.

  • Dagney

It works, and actually, WERQS in my opinion, because she chose. The arms are covered. The chest is covered. The feet are mostly covered. But those to die for, beautiful, muscular LEGS are telling the whole story. The hemline is perfection. The makeup and hair are juuuust right there in the sweet spot.

    • Gatto Nero

Yes! When only one part (the right part) of the body is on show, it really works.

  • I literally (and I do mean literally, in its intended sense) walked out from Gravity and every time she stripped to her skivvies I did nothing but stared in awe at her legs. Oh to be that leggy and toned…

  • Jennifer Aniston needs to stop and take notes! Sandy is serving up a master class in how to age (and dress) gracefully!

  • with a thin black belt, this would be perfect.

  • Gatto Nero

I’m not a Stella McCartney fan, but she looks great in this.

  • guest2visits

Normally I would say it needs an inch more in length…but this is nothing but fantastic on her.

  • Mary229

Her legs have always been amazing but I swear they’ve gotten better with age. She’s freaking amazing.

  • Bootsctr

    Nice legs!

  • EEKstl

She looks frickin’ amazing. LOVE her in that lip color and softer hair. Home run!

  • Erica_Vuitton

She does look amazing buuuuuut also slightly Kardashian.

  • Trevor Scott

Is that man behind her in the first picture throwing up?

  • Fred Vaughn

  • amaranth16

Her legs are unbelievable, her skin is amazing, her hair looks refreshingly healthy, and that lipstick is the perfect color for her.
