A slinky, masking tape, and a lampshade walk into a bar….

      • Sarah

        SNORT! Genius.

      • Lisa M. (ReVoir) Kramp

      • kimmeister

        And immediately start pole dancing.

      • http://phantomminuet.blogspot.com/ MinAgain

        …and order a screwdriver.

    • oatmealpie

She got Justin’s 3D printer to print in color.

      • Guest

The first of them is she clearly thinks this is right.

    • charlotte

This is wrong on so many levels.

    • Irish Rodriguez Reyes

The whole outfit looks like something a queen would wear on RPDR as she enters the workroom for the first time.

    • Sandisan

GO BACK HOME AND PUT REAL CLOTHES ON. (I’ve had too much coffee today)

    • Sarah

      Deep Space Nine Cocktail Waitress.

    • KinoEye

The journalist in me is running through “the 5 Ws”: Who chose this terrifying outfit? Why on earth did they chose it? Where were the people whose job it is to tell her when she looks like a crazy person? When did phone cords become a design material? What exactly is going on here?? Ahh!

      • decormaven

“You’re so analytical! Sometimes you just have to let art… flow… over you.”

    • http://www.youtube.com/user/TheOctocornNetwork International Model

What gumball machine did the coil choker come from? I have a quarter burning a hole in my purse…

      • SugarSnap108

Everything she’s wearing looks like it could be purchased with spare change.

      • NOLA_gal

Yeah, but that’s a 75 cent gum ball machine at the very least! I mean the tramp stamp tattoo gumball machine down the street from me costs $1.25!

      • NOLA_gal

Also, I just looked that necklace up (which I honestly kind of love), and that bitch is made of acrylic. My collar bones ache just thinking about hoiking that thing around all night!

        • NoveltyRocker

I love it, I hope she has a whole slew of them waiting to accessorize more outfits. Better outfits.

          • Lucía Gavello

I thought I was alone! I kind of love it too, and after looking it up I hate the fact that she’s wearing it askew.

            • NoveltyRocker

Whoa, it really is supposed to be symmetrical on both sides, I love it even more now! It’s like an amusement park day-glo collar in a regal shape.

    • AnniNoone

That IS real jewelry! I thought she’d wrapped a fluorescent Slinky around her neck. That would have been interesting, at least.

      • Kelly

Haha! I had the same thought — what, Slinkys are jewelry now?

    • Rand Ortega

Always nice when the Representatives from Risa come to visit from the future.

      • Myra Amler

Haha…I was thinking it was very Star Trek.

        • Rand Ortega

Sadly, with the same buck ‘o five costume budget, apparently.

    • boweryboy

Props for trying something different. I actually like the top half, wonky slinky ribbon candy necklace included. She just needed something a bit simpler for the bottom half, like white cigarette pants.

    • Laura Renee

      Well, I like the skirt.

      • bitchybitchybitchy

I like the skirt too. If she had paired the skirt with something other than an Ace Bandage and the Slinky,we might be looking at something good.

      • mlle

Same here. Good skirt, good eyebrows. Everything else needs to be tossed and done over from scratch.

    • Jumpingjacks

oh how she tries to be edgy and fails.. better luck next time

    • sagecreek

Why does she have a kitchen scrubbie around her neck?

      • kimmeister

        Preemptive action against ring-around-the-collar?

    • marlie

So she’s wearing Mila Jovovich’s top from the Fifth Element, and a slinky as a necklace? Nope, none of this is working for me. She’s beautiful, though.

      • http://foodycat.blogspot.co.uk/ foodycatAlicia

I had heard rumours of a sequel…maybe she is trying to get cast as Leeloo2?

    • QuincyTKatz

      Is that a costume?

    • Imasewsure

I think the outfit is kind of fun but she does not know what to do with it.

    • AlisonS

Apparently she stopped by this even on the way to a rave. Looks like she already popped some E so she’ll be super fun any minute now.

    • Pterodactyl111

      Fancy lamp.

    • Angela Cotsones Shea

Does she have anxiety issues? That necklace looks like something we give kids with emotional problems..to chew on.

    • In_Stitches

The necklace just doesn’t work bust the tube top and the skirt? Fabulous.

    • SuziQue

as was said numerous times on HIMYM…what the damn hell?

    • Kristina Sadowski

I think that slinky is trying to choke her…

      • YousmelllikeAnnaWintour

        Wouldn’t you?

    • NoveltyRocker

The pleated skirt does not belong in this equation, which is so crazy, it just might’ve worked.

    • Trickytrisha

      25th century Cleopatra?

    • http://dontmakeitlikeimdumb.blogspot.com/ annabelle archer

Oh sweetie. I’m still not going to bother to find out just who you are, or what you do.

      • marlie

She’s on Vampire Diaries. And she likes to consider herself a fashionista, but she’s ended up in the Fug Girls’ Fug Madness the last couple of years.

    • conniemd

When I commented the other day that stylists seem to have forgotten necklaces as an accessory, that green monstrosity was not what I had in mind.

      • http://dontmakeitlikeimdumb.blogspot.com/ annabelle archer

Right? I don’t appreciate their flippant back talk.

    • formerlyAnon

This is an extra from the meet-the-high-priestess at the temple scene in a cheesy sci-fi drama. But strangely missing the gratuitous display of tits. Both the skirt and the necklace are worthy pieces in some other ensembles. But probably not together.

    • Tweety

She is lovely but the neck thing is unfortunate.

    • Milos Mom

Lovely girl but the look is trying way too hard.

    • Glam Dixie

She should have fully committed and gone with the Egyptian hair. I mean what a half ass Halloween costume!

    • Madam Von Sassypants

Kat Graham keeps trying to make Kat Graham happen, and it’s just as convincing as the word fetch.

    • MilaXX

It’s hideous, but this is a Kat Graham look and in an odd way it works for her.

    • Eva_baby

This outfit is so wrong that it is almost right. Well for her that is. Someone else…not so much.

    • Trisha26

PR unconventional materials challenge – pleated lampshade skirt & duct tape bodice. At least I hope that’s what it is and not actual clothes…

    • Slade Thunderdragon

Maybe I’m tacky, but overall I’m in love with this. The top’s a little tortured, but I think everything about it is fun in a nonsensical way.

    • pookiesmom

This is crazy and I love it.

    • Candice Booth

That necklace definitely deserves a second look separately. It is a stunning piece of art but askew on Kat.

    • quiltrx

Jeez, child! I feel like I need to play mom over her (and I’m not even one):
“Young lady, you can pick ONE. The topknot, or the necklace, or the top, or the skirt, or the shoes. You MAY NOT have all of them.”

    • nannypoo

      Well, she looks ridiculous.

    • crystal76

      She’s got a Slinky for a necklace!

    • Dreamwr8tr

“I’m totally ready to party at the rave like it’s 1999! My mom made me go to bed last time! Let me at glowsticks!”

    • Garcia Loca

      I really like the skirt.

    • http://armchairauthor.wordpress.com/ LesYeuxHiboux

I kind of love that she had the ovaries to wear that necklace. She’s making a power play, and as crazy as it is and as much as I can’t believe I’m about to say it. I think she’s working it. It’s well-styled and she is putting in all kinds of effort on the posture front. You do you, Kat Graham.

    • H2olovngrl

      Judy Jetson.

    • Diego!

Project Runway Challenge: Make a dress / outfit out of toilet paper and/or napkins

    • Rebecca Harvey

Is that a glow in the dark slinky around her neck?

    • Tatiana Luján

What a fun poolparty it must have been!

    • AmeliaEve

      Hula dancer from outer space.

    • YousmelllikeAnnaWintour

      “I’m a little cupcake, short and stout…”

    • valerie747

I like it! It’s saying: “I can wear this and still look cute, and YOU can’t! So, THERE.” and…. she’s right.

    • bertkeeter

      Not my vibe…but nice!

    • Aaminah Khan

Just because you have the body for an outfit, doesn’t mean you should wear said outfit.

    • NinjaCate

Kat Graham just…. she’s gorgeous but she ALWAYS manages to wear the wrong thing. I guess you have to give her credit for her adventurous style.

    • ConnieBV

This is the least of her problems, but I need that hairdo to die. No one looks good in it. Not even JLo. Skirt is cute, but not styled right.

    • dschubba

I was kind of on-board with this when I saw it in thumbnail form.

    • Olga Frayman
