Damn! You serve it up Ms. Fonda, rockin’ your jumpsuit all the way down the red carpet!

    • Danielle

      BOW THE FUCK DOWN, PLEBEIANS

      • carlaaxtman

Jeezus. And then stand the fuck up and run like hell to the gym.

        • e jerry powell

What? You don’t still have the Jane Fonda Workout videos?

          • formerlyAnon

How long do VHS cassettes actually last in a playable state, outside of cold storage?

            • e jerry powell

Actually, the original VHS tapes are still available on Amazon, and she’s still cranking out workouts for DVD now that women may age as gracefully as she has using yoga.

    • Clueless_Jock

      She’s still stunningly beautiful.

      • bitchybitchybitchy

She’s stunning, and she has some lines and little wrinkles that are totally appropriate for a woman of her age. Love.Her.

    • Jessica Freeman

Of course she makes this ridiculous jumps suit look mildly fantastic. Woman has still GOT IT.

      • Lucía Gavello

It looks better on her than on the model. Then again, Jane Fonda does not do cameltoe, nor polterwang.

    • https://twitter.com/Gayer_Than_Thou Gayer Than Thou

I need to get to an aerobics class, stat.

      • Kristin McNamara

Right??? Seventy-five. This woman is SEVENTY. FIVE. YEARS. OLD. Almost 76!! What a gem. I’m a third her age, and have never looked (and probably WILL never look) this good!

    • formerlyAnon

Very wiggy looking hair, but what chutzpah to wear a jumpsuit that telegraphs its potential problem areas on. the. model. And then she pulls it off! Weapons grade material, this woman.

      • VictoriaDiNardo

And I think she has a good tailor, which is totally the older body’s friend. ( I remember well the day I realized that structure and not stretch was going to be my guide. ) The bottom half looks so much better on her than on the model because it fits! Shes’ really something.

        • formerlyAnon

Yes. She’s the poster child for the kind of well-thought-out preparation for the red carpet/celebrity public appearances that our hosts keep reiterating to us is possible and should be expected and is the reason why these folk are held to a higher standard than we “civilians.”

    • Diego!

NOW THIS IS A WERQ!!!!! You rock that outfit Mrs. Fonda!!! :D

    • gabbilevy

      Wow.

    • Miranda

      Dammit…..I bow down.

    • alyce1213

Jeez, better than the runway model! The belt’s a little obvious, but doesn’t take away from the overall awesomeness.
Love the makeup — she’s smart to stay away from a dark or too-bright lip color.

    • http://www.luxperdiem.com/ Paige @ LPD

Love everything but the hair. Imagine how cute she would look with a sleek pixie.

      • alyce1213

YES YES YES. Judi Dench style. She has the face and bones, it would be gorgeous.

        • jonesybj_notreally

          Agree agree agree

    • julnyes

Better than the model. Work it.

    • KinoEye

Sweet Jane, just like the song. If I ever met her, I think I’d have a Wayne’s World moment: “I’m not worthy! I’m not worthy!”

    • http://urban-gypsy.com/ Tess Danesi

Hoy shit! She looks better in a freaking jumpsuit than the model.

      • TAGinMO

The model’s looks too big on her.

    • http://www.youtube.com/user/TheOctocornNetwork International Model

This is how I picture Catwoman in her golden years. Purrfect.

      • StellaZafella

This would be her Diamond years, luv, this gorgeous bitch is 70!. My Carol Channing/Loralei Lee is bowing and calling out “Y’all OWN that diamond choker and tight jumpsuit, lady!”

    • SewingSiren

      Jane Fonda or Nancy Reagan?

      • Imasewsure

Exactly. That is what I saw too… I’m trying to ignore

      • bitchybitchybitchy

Did you see her as Nancy in The Butler?

    • http://dontmakeitlikeimdumb.blogspot.com/ annabelle archer

Jane – “Pssst, Naya, this is how one wears an open topped pants suit with diamonds.”
Note the real jewels, the hemmed pants, and the bustier. Sexy but with so much more class and style.

    • Rand Ortega

Still as smokin’ as she was when I worked w/ her on her workout videos back in the day. That jumpsuit is slammin’ on her! Wish she’d kept the belt from the model shots– more modern– but this is a 1 piece WERQ if there ever was 1!

      • formerlyAnon

Do you go back to the first ones, in the early ’80s? If so, may I say for the others ‘of a certain age’ on this blog, that I will feel strangely as if I have come full circle. The hours a friend and I spent with Jane & her striped leotard (not leggings) in the finished basement of a house in Virginia’s semi-rural horse country. The vast entertainment we provided to some of her housemates!

        • Rand Ortega

HAHAHA! Whenever I mention I worked on the videos someone always tells me how they or their mom got into shape thanks to Jane.

No, I came in towards the end for the last 3 videos from 1989-91. We 1st shot them at her workout studio in Santa Monica. But she broke a rib during filming so we took a 2 month break for her to recover, then shot the rest at Raleigh Studios. She was fantastic to work for–paid for an entire espresso bar to come to the studio as a pick me up for cast & crew. A kind, patient (My second job in the industry)–even though I didn’t knock & walked in on her naked in the bathroom–boss. 1 of my favorite people I ever worked for.

          • formerlyAnon

So nice to hear positive stories about celebrities.

    • imspinningaround

She is not just serving it, she is cramming it down your throat, foie gras-style.

      • http://dontmakeitlikeimdumb.blogspot.com/ annabelle archer

        mmmmm….foie gras……

    • NoveltyRocker

Swap in a less blingy belt and more attractive shoes and it is complete. I can even picture some menswear inspired flats in this situation since she has so much femme sexiness going on up top. Pump or flat, the suit calls for a strong shoe. The open-heeled kitten doesn’t anchor the power of the suit so well.

    • bellafigura1

WERQ, she actually looks better in it than the model who is 50 years younger than she is. What a woman! I need her surgeon!

      • Imasewsure

No you don’t! Let’s please be the generation that lets that crap die an unnatural and unavenged death! Love me some JF but would have loved to see her age gracefully in a defiantly natural state instead….oh well, Hollywood strikes again…

        • bellafigura1

I’m flattered but I’m WAAAAY closer to her generation, and yes I do. Hit me up when you’re where she and I are! It’s a stone cold fact, it kinda sucks when the outside does not match the inside. I’m still happy, I’m not morose or hiding out, I’m having a blast, but oh for a tight jawline.

          • Imasewsure

Let’s put you in a $10,000 dress with your own stylist, makeup artist and a whole lot of Harry Winston…. that bling might just take 10 years off… or at least distract with its sparkly goodness!

And yes I have another 20 to go to catch up with some of our mature goddess BKs. Might change my tune then! :)

    • Imasewsure

Love the jumpsuit but in the close ups she looks too much like a cross between Julie Bowen and Nancy Reagan… oh well, it happens

    • BayTampaBay

She looks great. Wig or not, I love her hair.

    • Sunraya

She doesn’t look like herself for some reason. I don’t think it is surgery, but something distinctive that made her face her’s is now gone.

      • Imasewsure

Of course it’s the surgery. Plus I think a somewhat conservative style of hair (aka wig), etc.

        • 1964edithgrove

And I was just telling myself the surgery did not shout surgery; she still looks exactly like herself. Unlike most. Strange.

          • Imasewsure

She definitely looks better than most but I still think surgical changes catch up with you.. plus every ten years or so the person in the mirror changes overnight so it just might be that… she looks good. Just a bit different

    • Elana Bryan

Bitch is SERVING it. Gawd I love her! Ms Fonda, you’re my idol!

    • In_Stitches

Not loving the proportions here. It’s all bust and pelvis-no torso to speak of really. The skinny leg isn’t really helping. A bit of weight towards the bottom by way of a looser leg would help balance the whole effect.

    • carpediva

You work that shit, Ms. Lady!

    • boweryboy

LUV HUH and love the outfit from the waist up (minus the fright wig). It’s when I get to the belt and everything South of it (minus the fierce shoes) something seems a bit off. I dunno what it is.

    • marlie

Ms. Fonda herself looks lovely, but I really don’t like the jumpsuit – either on her OR on the model. She can do SO much better!

    • filmcricket

Serving it the fuck up. I can only abase myself in awe.

      • bitchybitchybitchy

I am abasing myself in awe, too.

    • Loola234

      Jane looks GREAT!

I’m surprised Reem Acra let the model go down the runway with jumpsuit looking like that – who would have even wanted that?

    • AmeliaEve

She is selling it, despite the dated hair, but the roll on this lapel is totally wrong for her. On the flat-chested model, the neckline is smooth all the way the base of the vee, as it should be. With Jane trying to stretch it over her curves, it breaks at her bustline and pulls apart. The camisole can’t save it. She needs to go up a size and smooth out the wrap.

    • RussellH88

That bent arm looks kinda mannequin-y to me, but she looks amazing here. The crotch area doesn’t look as much like a diaper on her as it does on the model (which is good, because when you’re in your 70′s you probably don’t want to conjure up diaper imagery)

    • lobsterlen

My only quibble and this ocd nit picking … not liking the shape of the belt buckle. I think it would have looked better if the belt buckle had the same orientation as the one the runway. However I like the bling of the rhinestones with the jumpsuit. Other than that WOW! Jane.

    • mjude

      bowing the fuck down!

    • crash1212

If one must wear a jumpsuit with a plunging neckline, then THIS is the way it’s done. This fits impeccably. She looks fabulous. I like her belt choice better than the models. Perfect shoes, clutch and jewels. And I LOVE the fact that she’s either wearing a bustier or a beautiful bra under it – it’s the perfect touch as I’m SO tired of seeing inner-side-boob and vast swaths of chest. Nicely done Jane…fabulous.

    • MilaXX

Werq! I like Jane’s version even better than the model

    • JaCory Deon

      The Boss. That is all.

    • kcnitch

I think the jumpsuit itself is awful, but it looks much better on her than a model 50+ years her junior. Damn, does she look good!

    • sagecreek

I just have to share this with my fellow precious UBFs…I got a vitriolic email from my MIL last month, bemoaning JF’s appearance in The Butler. Really? Yes, alas, some folks are still clinging to 45 year old hurt feelings.

Which makes Ms. Jane looking so splendid even more, well, splendid.

      • bitchybitchybitchy

I thought that Ms. Fonda did a fine job impersonating Nancy Reagan. Alas, some folks do have a very, very hard time letting go. So sorry that your MIL sent that. You have your fellow BK’s to commiserate with.

    • ovarB

      Looking good Corie Bratter!!

    • shopgirl716

She’s older than my mother and I know I couldn’t pull this off. Bow down.

    • gsk241

However much she paid for that face it wasn’t enough. She looks gorgeous but the pantsuit just isn’t working for me. Maybe a skoosh too tight?

    • Clydette Wantland

      BAM! Bow down everyone.

    • ljh

She is amused by the simplicity of this game…

    • MoreShoes

      That’s how it’s done!

    • Jennifer Peters-Ahnberg

Here to give Alexis Carrington some schooling.

    • http://phantomminuet.blogspot.com/ MinAgain

      Saaaaa-lute!

    • E. D.

      Damn – bravo.

    • MikeW_Vegas

The Pilgrims called.. They’d like the buckle back for their hats, please.

    • decormaven

Jewelry. She’s wearing it. It makes the outfit sing. Stylists, take note. Thank you, Ms. Fonda!!

    • Julie Parr

She is amazing, no doubt, but the country-music-star-hair is wearing on my nerves.

    • quiltrx

Such is the power of the Fonda that she can avoid the (pretty much automatic) jumpsuit mega-camel-toe–suffered by that mere mortal of a model!

    • macwell

      Bow DOWN!! OMG! ;)

    • mila_8

      Septuagenarian Barbie!

    • http://trooperschaf.blogspot.de/ TrooperSchaf

one of the few times, that someone looks waaaay better in the clothes than the runway model. You’re awesome, Jane Fonda!

    • ConnieBV

      You magnificent bitch.

    • http://weirdinedgewise.blogspot.com ONEWEIRDWORD

What she’s doing? Keep on doing! She looks fantastic!

    • pdquick

I don’t care if her bosom is halfway to China. She SELLS the garment!
