She looks nice. I can’t really say any more than that.

    • http://joyouslifesf.wordpress.com Kiltdntiltd

The hottest woman at your Aunt Mable’s second wedding.

      • jen

      • Lisa M. (ReVoir) Kramp

        Flat feet and all!

    • Rhonda Shore

Captain of the field hockey team!

    • Karen Belgrad

I’m not a huge fan of the dress, which is doing wonky bust things. I loathe the shoes (TLo have trained me well).

However… she actually looks “soft”, for lack of a better term, which is rare for her, despite her efforts. So kudos for the hair and make-up?

      • Loola234

I think her hair from her first Oscar win did the most to “soften” her up.

I don’t know that I’ve ever seen longer eyebrows than those she is sporting here…

      • MoHub

I don’t blame the dress for the breast issues. Woman needs a proper strapless bra to hold the girls up; she’s sagging practically to her waist.

        • http://missbethg.wordpress.com Beth Ann

I agree! My first thought upon seeing swank was that she was making a great dress and herself look bad by not wearing any foundation undergarment, be it a bra or bustier.

    • boweryboy

The fit is really weird around the bust, like her boobs are melting, but at least she lined it.

    • Imasewsure

I don’t hate the dress on her (any color in a storm) but the shoes are awful, aren’t they? No comment on the hair…

      • Heather

The shoes are like Payless combined with a court-ordered ankle bracelet.

    • valerie747

      BRA assistance.

    • Tracy_Flick

It’s nice. Not terrible. On anyone other than a red-carpet movie star, this would be a cute look. But for someone with a stylist and access to tailoring – it’s not great. It looks like it needs to be hiked up, and the shoes are meh.

    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1180174329 Elizabeth Phillips

      I don’t really “get” her.

    • Garcia Loca

Can we stop with the red lace? Making decent ladies everywhere look like street walkers.

      • Karen Belgrad

Maybe if it had a black lining, but the white lining gives it a very Valentines feel as opposed to street walker.

      • Aaminah Khan

As someone who has a lot of sex worker friends (none of whom dress like sex workers are apparently meant to), can I just ask…do we *have* to dismiss every outfit we don’t like as making a woman look like a “street walker”? Not only is that an incredibly offensive term, but there’s actually nothing WRONG with voluntarily doing sex work, so it’s a baseless criticism in any case.

“Tacky” is a much less loaded term that’s about a billion times more appropriate.

    • Rand Ortega

Well, Nice. But I’m noticing a lack of… buoyancy in a specific area. Her hair makes her face, though beautiful, look even longer.

      • Imasewsure

Yes I definitely have never thought her hair was very flattering for her but longer is definitely worse.

    • majorbedhead

the lights bouncing off the sequins are making her boobs look like they’re shooting lasers. “pew! pew! pew!”

    • tallgirl1204

Needs better top support, but at least this dress is properly lined!

    • http://www.youtube.com/user/TheOctocornNetwork International Model

This would be gorgeous at an office Christmas party.

    • tereliz

      …ly acceptable.

    • Mary Lauer

Proper support for the girls would help this look.

    • http://dontmakeitlikeimdumb.blogspot.com/ annabelle archer

My calendar says October. I’m thinking Hilary’s does not. Yours?

      • Karen Belgrad

Her body calendar says February 14th, her foot calendar says June 21st

    • YoungSally

      OOH — two thoughts

      (1) Girl needs to hoik those girls up a bit more.

      (2) Didn’t Danai (or someone else) wear this exact dress last week….maybe with longer sleeves and poor lining.

    • Diego!

Her tits look like pregnancy tits: Big, Swollen and Fallen. What the heck? Why isn’t she wearing a bra? The rest, screems ’90’s daytime event to me.

      • Heather

It’s possible that she’s wearing a strapless bra, but I’ve personally never found one that didn’t need constant hoisting. That’s also why I don’t wear spaghetti straps.

        • MoHub

Longline, low-backed strapless bras with boning do the job well, although they can be a bit uncomfortable.

          • Heather

That’s true. I’ve also found they can create additional ‘belly roll’ at the bottom. Of course, the other option is just to wear something that allows for a bra. :-)

            • MoHub

As I do most of the time. But I do stage work, and sometimes my costume requires that terrible strapless. Suffering for my art, I guess.

    • sagecreek

It’s well enough, I suppose, but I don’t think she can carry off February sweet. Strong faces demand strong clothes.

    • Erica_Vuitton

That is one poorly fitted bust! The hair is very pretty, but I wish the dress was any other color but Valentine’s Day red.

    • MilaXX

It’s a very generic look and nothing really fits well, especially the naked sandal. Some people simply do not have the foot for it.

    • Aidan B

Where has she been? Not a great effort, at any rate.

      • mommyca

I guess in several red carpets all over the world… but definitely NOT making any movies… I don’t recall the last thing she was in… Sad for a 2-time Academy Winner… I guess she needs a better agent?

        • Imasewsure

Let’s hope she has been off living her life and enjoying some time away from Hollywood, work, work, more work, fame whore, fame whore, etc. . I kind of like the folks that walk away periodically.. wish I could convince a few others to do the same….

      • EarthaKitten

Let’s not forget her appearance in Chechnya, a most regrettable role but the pay was exquisite. Did anyone else notice what looks like bruised knuckles? Maybe a sequel to Million Dollar Baby based on the premise of Heaven Can Wait. And in the TMI department, what’s with her BIG toe? Meow.

    • jmorino08

Major boob draggage happening here. She needs to hoist those puppies up so they’re not halfway to her midriff!

    • TLJezebel

Red lace dress and naked shoes. This BK is over it.

    • YousmelllikeAnnaWintour

WOW. A red lace dress. I haven’t seen a red lace dress since…yesterday.

      • Dagney

Seriously. Since, a nano second ago.

    • Kelly

Lack of support + blah hair + summer clothes in October = three strikes. Out. Hilary’s not going to the Fashion World Series. (Hey, as we’ve all been saying, it *is* October — when baseball metaphors rule.)

    • jen

      Very pretty.

    • ThaliaMenninger

I think there is a tendency among ladystars who were once the buffest of the buff and are still quite thin and trim to think that they’ll never need a bra. I realize that much of fashion is designed for 20-something models and celebutantes who sneer at undergarments, and for that reason, designers seem to come up with things that simply do not accommodate a bra. So here’s Hill, wanting to wear the pretty dress with the spaghetti straps and thinking her body is the same as it was when she was 25. And it just isn’t. Hence the saggy boob/shapeless silhouette. Never mind the fact that the bodice looks saggy on the model, too. You blew it, Michael Kors.

      • sagecreek

So very true. I’m not even a celebrity, but it took me at least two years longer than it should have to realize that I couldn’t get away with bralessness any more.

      • MoHub

Yes. I noticed the boob droop on the model as well. If a flat-chested model looks saggy, maybe the dress needs built-in support.

    • nannypoo

I really hate this dress, and not only because of the insult to her boobs.

    • NYCGlamourpuss

“Ehhh…” for everything but the shoes. Because the shoes – GIRL! Get a pair that fits around your ankles! You could stash a roll of $20s in that space!

      • bellafigura1

Wait, you might have invented a new cell-phone holder.

    • http://marshmallowjane.com/ marshmallowjane

She’s a beautiful woman wearing an old-lady dress. From what I recall, she has real boobs. She needs some support or better support.

    • Terri Terri

She needs more support up top.

    • decormaven

Plebian fare. This is off the rack at Macy’s.

    • formerlyAnon

So very meh. Nothing wrong with it (other than being another lace dress of no distinction and little charm), but nothing of note.

    • wontons

      Plus: color!

      Minus: dubious foundation garment.

      • Trickytrisha

        Possibly nonexistent?

    • http://www.ellenciompi.com/ NurseEllen

I can’t think of a single kind thing to say about how she looks in these photos. Therefore, I am just going to shut up.

(Take note, this doesn’t happen often.)

    • Dagney

This is not a body snark, but a serious question…what…is….um, going on with? happened to? Her boobs? Is the size combined with a lack of support? They look….slightly off kilter.

    • Sunraya

So many people default to Kors, which is Old Lady here. No. Put it back.

    • Danielle West

The girls desperately need some support.

    • E. D.

Don’t like the shoes and the skirt is too long.

    • ipk

You guys really think that her boobs are saggy? We cannot see where they are exactly in the dress and even if you are 25 and don’t have sagging boobs, still you cannot have the boobs on your dewlap right? As it is also obvious in the other picture that belongs to the model..
