Emmy Rossum in Jenny Packham at the Disney Concert Hall 10th Anniversary

Posted on October 01, 2013

We’re feeling it:

Emmy Rossum attends the Walt Disney Concert Hall’s 10th Anniversary Gala in a Jenny Packham gown.

Jenny Packham Fall 2013 Collection

Serving Butt. On a silver freaking platter.

If we were ladies (stop laughing), we would probably hate Emmy on a cellular level. Because it just occurred to us with this look: she’s that rare creature who can work sultry glam like this as effortlessly as she does the girly, flirty romantic stuff she also tends to favor.

The wheel is not being reinvented here. It’s all fairly standard. We’d even, if we were feeling critical, say that the hair is a bit lumpy and the earrings are a bit too safe and coordinated. But she and the dress are knockouts. Loving that metallic green on her.

      Very nice!

    • Sobaika

The hair feels very dated. But it’s a stunning look overall.

      • kmk05

I think it’s the pouf at the top and the half-assed curls at the bottom.

      • Constant Reader

Why will the Bumpit not die?

    • Bexxx

      Dat ass. Wow.

      • NYCGlamourpuss

I know, right? That is a Shannel level of ass!

    • ninamadeleine

I have recently discovered, thanks to this website, that I’m in love with Emmy. I love her look, her hair, and her style.

      • anotherkate

I’ve made a similar discovery. Although I think my infatuation started when I saw her in Phantom of the Opera.

      • http://frankbettecenter.org/ sleah_in_norcal

and she is absolutely fascinating in shameless. she is truly shameless while raising a brood of brothers and sisters in poverty.

    • NYCGlamourpuss

Okay, now this? Is a WERQ! Perfection from head to toe!

    • stubbornthoughts

      LOVE HUH.

    • Erica_Vuitton

I love the dress (bum bum spladaaaa) but that eye make up good Lord that’s ugly.

      • Introspective

i was waiting for someone to notice the raccoonage going on about the eyes. ruins an otherwise spot on look for me.

      • http://www.GiftedCollector.com/ The Gifted Collector

I always find it funny when celebs pay money to achieve a look that I wouldn’t walk out of the house with. In this case, it’s the excessive shadow under the eyes. I make sure that any leftover mascara or liner is carefully washed away for a nice clean look. I don’t understand the overly smudged effect.

      • Magatha

Yeah, I know I should hate the eye make-up, but I don’t. I think it works with that dress, with that lip color, and on her unusual, beautiful face.

    • Nan

I’m a lady, and I agree she looks great (minus the druggie eye makeup) but I still hate her. She rubs a lot of people the wrong way from what I gather,

    • Latin Buddy

Next leg day, totally spending at least 45 min on ass exercises.

    • GillianHolroyd

I love the dress on her but the hair and the makeup aren’t working for me at all.

    • Rand Ortega

Loving everything except the hairy baby bump on top of her head. The silvery green of the dress is breath taking.

    • Nancy Karpen

At least she’s wearing earring! Very nice

    • majorbedhead

I don’t know why she bugs me, but she bugs me. She gives me an almost GOOP-level of smugness.

But she does have a nice ass.

    • Jacquelyn

She looks great! I have no real complaints.

    • clatie

She looks great – she’s come a long way since her Sugar Rape days, hasn’t she?

    • Tanya Wade

She really never gets it wrong for me, personally. Loving the lines, the sight Art Deco feel to it, then bam, the steampunk ring. It just works.

    • Janet B

The dress is fantastic on her.

    • Jessica Freeman

I love it all, except the eye make up. It just seems a little…odd colored.

      • kimmeister

That shade of puce ventures awfully close to looking like she has a black eye.

    • quiltrx

LUV HUH. She looks fabulous! My only quibble is that the eyes are a little raccoony. Otherwise, perfection!

    • kittenwithaquip

      I need that jewelry. Neeeeeed.

    • Sara__B

The gown is stunning, but I’m not crazy about the overly-smoky eye and the half-up, half-down beehive hair.

    • Elleachaudaucul

It’s really not fair how pretty she is. I’m questioning the eye makeup.

    • http://figgylicious.blogspot.com/ Figgy

I love everything except the eye makeup. I think it makes her look tired.

    • schadenfreudelicious

I could do without the bump-it hair, i will happily take that ass though….

    • http://dontmakeitlikeimdumb.blogspot.com/ annabelle archer

    • filmcricket

I want to take that dress behind the middle school and get it pregnant.

    • kimmeister

My issue with the look is that it’s too anachronistic for my taste. The Deco dress is 20’s/30’s, the big hair is 60’s. I have no problem pairing modern things (like jewelry) with retro-inspired items, but I don’t like mixing two different retro time periods in one look.

Plus, that ring reminds me of Bowser from the Super Mario Brothers games.

      • demidaemon

You ring comment made me double back and check it out. Now, because of your comment and the way it looks, I kind of love it.

    • Imasewsure

Wow BAM… didn’t know she had that butt… beautiful dress on her… not loving the makeup… not sure about the hair…. gorgeous simple look overall though

    • tereliz

I don’t like how the hem makes her look like she’s melting, and I HATE the hair and most of her jewelry, but she looks fab, undeniably. Bitch. 😉

    • Jacqueline Wessel

What a great color…sorta green. sorta gray and very metallic. Her makeup is lovely, too!

    • MilaXX

Not loving the snooki hair, but otherwise a pretty look.

    • Matthew Davie

      BAM! She looks amaze-balls.

    • tinyredlocks

I think she looks great and I’m just glad she’s wearing earrings. I hate naked ears, which seems to be a trend. That I hate. So, yay Emmy!

    • decormaven

Yippee! Somebody’s got on some decent jewelry. That dress is amazing on her. Only quibble is the bumpit hair- remove it, and that’s one stellar look.

    • jen

Gorgeous dress. I just wish she’d leave her hair curly, it’s so pretty in it’s natural state :(

    • http://www.youtube.com/user/TheOctocornNetwork International Model

Did anyone else think that Emmy Rossum was a way better Audrey Hepburn than J.Lo Hew in that biopic from ten years ago?

(This is the dress that little, sophisticated girl fantasies are made on. Gorgeous!)

    • http://thishotoldbroad.blogspot.com/ Sara Leigh Merrey

Hate the bumpit hair, but the gown is stunning.

    • LaSylphide

A hairbump in the 21st century? Oooooh kay… Dress is goegrous and she looks gorgeous in it.

    • Kelly

Dress is fab. Hair is too fussy, and the eyes are just flat-out scary. But there’s no denying how gorgeous she is, even when I don’t like her outfits.

    • jspark

      She Purrrrty

    • http://www.ellenciompi.com/ NurseEllen

I kinda like the bump-it hair, myself; definitely like the earrings, although i could do without the silver knuckle-buster ring. But that perky little rump is hateful.

    • random_poster

Love everything but the hair and make-up.

    • melanie0866

I love the hair. It’s a dressy, polished look without being an updo.

    • crash1212

This is a beautiful gown and she’s working it for all it’s worth. Nicely done!

    • sagecreek

      Sorry, can’t stand the bumpit.

    • neonseattle

      i love jenny packham

    • marlie

I think she looks FAB! The hair is a skosh too high for my liking, but otherwise, I think she looks gorgeous. The dress is stunning, and her jerelry is TO DIE. And her makeup is just about perfect.

    • PastryGoddess

thank god for jewelry. apparently Emmy stole it all from hollywood and is holding it ransom

    • anotherkate

I like that she showed up to a Disney event looking like a sexy villain, rather than a pretty princess. I love her looks most of the time, but I really love this.

    • E. D.

I love this except for the pouf and the raccoon eye makeup. That color is great on her!

    • Trisha26

Is an enormous curved butt something most women aspire to? I find this hideous. Until that last photo I was only disturbed by the bump-it hair.

    • demidaemon

      Slinky. Sexy. I like.

    • MoHub

      I find the makeup frightening

    • andreawey

I’m a lady and I like her even if she does give good ass!

    • http://twitter.com/#!/Space_Kitty Space Kitty

I would have saved it for New Year’s. Which is not actually a complaint.

    • jw_ny

great dress for her, but the hair and makeup…eek! especially the shadow under her eyes…looks like big brown bags.

    • imakeart

That gown is spectacular. Perfect balance of a complex fabric in a simple design to show it off best. And she’s wearing it well.

    • kathrineb

This dress is made for her! My only complaint is the dark shadow under the eye. Otherwise its stunning!

    • calimon

She looks so good, I’m having to fight pangs of bitterness!

    • LadyLuck777

Love the dress and earrings. Can tolerate the hair, but I just can’t with the Sarah Brightman makeup.

    • julnyes

As a lady, who is a huge Shameless fan, I LUV HUH!!

    • allcapsERINN

Love it. It may be the lighting or the way the gown is shaded or her poses, but her boobs look a little wonky, hi-lo to me. Mine look that way all the time though so . . . .

**wanders off to do some lunges and other glute-abusing exercises**

    • http://frankbettecenter.org/ sleah_in_norcal

no to the conehead hair. otherwise, she looks lovely.

    • GTrain

      Love it

    • Crystal

      dat. ass.
