Emily VanCamp and Gabriel Mann on the Set of “Revenge”

Posted on October 31, 2013

Okay, Revenge-o-philes, fill us in, because we’re not watching anymore and we don’t even know who she’s dating this season.

Emily VanCamp and Gabriel Mann seen filming wedding scenes for “Revenge” in Los Angeles.

So who is she supposedly marrying? Is it getting better this season? We may play catchup soon.

Gorgeous gown. And of course, Gabriel Mann in tails is giving us LIFE. That is one elegant man.

She’s marrying Daniel but hooking up with some other dude and in love with the bartender is all I can figure out.

  • Blair Sylvester

It’s really about who Nolan’s dating! And I think it is much more streamlined and tongue in cheek than the second season , also having Emily question her motives / if she went too far is interesting

    • AzSportsGirl

Oh yeah. Nolan and *her* lovechild is just too delicious and hot for words.

    • elizonthelam

Seconded! Much enjoying this season; I can’t name a moment in particular, but I definitely feel the self mockery and of soaps is work—which I like a lot. Plus reminding us the local inn is called South Fork. Yayness!

    • Emily Smith

Agreed this season is much better than last. Although I wish we could move past Emily and Victoria being condescending and rude to each other in the most sickly sweet voices they have. That’s getting old, it’s every scene they ever do together anymore.

  • Maggie Wiggin

She’s marrying Daniel but lots of other potential dalliances. And juicy, juicy Nolan love life tidbits as well! It’s much improved from last season, well worth a binge watch on the next rainy Saturday.

    • gabbilevy

Agree! It was worth sticking through the doldrums of Season 2 for the vast improvements of Season 3.

  • Anita Berlanga

that wedding had better be at night. Otherwise his rig is all wrong. White tie and tails is evening formal. Morning suit is daytime formal. Unless somebody changed The Rules and didn’t let a shrike know. If he’s in Oxfords I’mo rip them off his feet (which will make it easier to get him out of those clothes, of course)

    • eclare

Ha…I was about to say the same thing.

    • Lanus

THANK YOU. This is the only place where people GET THIS.

    • AmeliaEve

      OMG, yes.

When my godfather asked if he’d need a tuxedo for my wedding, I told him one reason I loved my husband was that he knew enough to wear a lounge suite before 5 pm.

  • Angel Ratliff

I think the season has sped up quite a bit over last season. Back on track with the destruction of the Graysons, less distraction. This season Nolan is sleeping with Victoria’s long abandoned given away for adoption son, played by Justin Hartley (of Smallville fame.) And Gabriel’s costumes are pretty spectacular.

  • Jennifer Peters-Ahnberg

It hooked me again and I was ready to stop watching. Nolan and Victoria’s son make it worth watching. However, my obsession, er, affection for Barry Sloane is well documented, so I’m probably not one to give advice.

  • Sarah

IDK that show but the way her dress has detachable tulle is neato.

    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1234087433 Jen Freeman

Seriously. I love that, and it was the main thing I noticed.

  • http://www.youtube.com/user/TheOctocornNetwork International Model

Whoever he is, he needs to be on the cover of “The Lady”.

  • Jaeda Laurez

Nolan is everything. I still haven’t stopped wishing for Charlotte and Jack to die, but so far…snake eyes on that one. But I keep hope alive. There’s another chick on the scene, Margo- or Margheaux as she’s known around my particular set of friends- who wears rather cute clothing, but has been scheming on Daniel. Daniel is still in his feelings about being “The Man” just like his daddy was with his father. Victoria has had some boss outfits, but I’m tired of that hair. Adrian is still sexy-the end. Emanda has been on it, but I need her to handle her business and quit worrying about Jack.

  • LearnedFoot

In the season premiere, they did away with all of the most problematic elements of S2. And wrapped up Carrion and The Initiative in like 2 lines of (very self-referential) dialog. You two would’ve been proud.

    • vickilu

I didn’t watch last season but I kept up with the recaps, last weekend I watched the first few episodes of season 3 and loved how they delivered those two lines. I wish every show would handle lousy plots that way.

  • sugarkane105

Can one of the bitter kittens who still watches the show tell me why there are news crews at the wedding? Is it just because Daniel is the groom, and everyone is obsessed with the Graysons?

    • http://foodycat.blogspot.co.uk/ foodycatAlicia

I don’t watch but I DO read the fuggirls. I assume it’s because the wedding is being featured in a magazine and the family are huge scandalous celebs.

    • conniemd

Daniel invested in a new “celebrity/art/whatever” magazine that is being published by Margo who is an old “friend” of Daniel who also has powerful father issues. The magazine is doing a feature on the couple, one of the plot lines was that Emily/Amanda had no photos etc. of her past. So I’m guessing that some of the photographers, cameras are their for the magazine.

The men eye candy has really ramped up this year with adding Patrick (Victoria’s long lost son) and he looks headed towards a totally steamy relationship with Nolan. Daniel is the pretty boy, Aiden the scruffy bad boy, Jack the blue collar hot-head, Patrick the good looking man of mystery probable bad boy, and of course Nolan is the really smart, sophisticated too cool for words bisexual who would make a really good best friend for a straight girl like Emily/Amanda.

      • Qitkat

My life would so much be more interesting if I had a Nolan for a bestie. He has been consistently the best character on the show. Ooh, and Patrick is not at all hard on the peepers.

  • imspinningaround

Did I wear a tiny Hermes neckerchief with a chambray shirt to work on Monday because I was so inspired by Nolan’s ensemble of same on Sunday night’s episode? Mmmmmmmmmaybe.

  • MilaXX

Gabriel Mann looks GREAT! Emily looks bland. I tried rewatching this season and gave up after 3 eps. I’d rather watch The Walking Dead and save DVR space.

  • Garcia Loca

    She better be marrying Aiden.

  • Karen Belgrad

The last episode had three shirtless men (Jack, Aiden, and Patrick). It’s worth watching again for the eye candy. And NoTrick (yes, they have a ‘shipper name, LOL)

    • http://piblet.tumblr.com/ Anastasia

NoTrick. Omg. I misread that as “stripper name.” Both work.

  • Nikko Viquiera

Who cares about Emily! Nolan is dating the hottest guy in the Hamptons!!!! Also, the story is tighter and better than season 2. Please, please recap!

    • Karen Belgrad

I recapped it last week (for TwoCentsTV) and it took about 25 minutes to write, as opposed to something like Grey’s Anatomy that has 20 simultaneous stories. Revenge is awesomely streamlined this year!!!

  • majorbedhead

My suggestion would be to binge watch it, because I’m watching episode by episode and it’s making me slowly slip into a coma. I don’t think this show holds up well to weekly viewing, but if you can watch an episode a night, it flows better. I’ve come to this theory after binge watching season 1, losing interest half way thru season 2, then binge watching that a month or two ago, and now the whole coma thing for season 3.

Although, I will be looking for still of Nolan in his tux. Holy Hannah, that man is divine.

ETA that reading these comments puts me in the distinct minority.

    • Qitkat

Even though I hang in every week, when I remembering is on, I basically agree with you. I have grown to love binge watching. It’s tempting to bow out and finish off the season later.

    • sagecreek

You’re not wrong. I’ve binged watched the entire run over the past four days. It’s fun, but I can see that week by week I would have checked out long before now. But my Gabriel Mann love is pure and strong.

  • BobbiNJ

Much better than last season. Kind of back to the roots of the show.

  • Little_Olive

Nolan, Nolan clothes, Nolan stance. Perfect amuse-bouche for sausage friday.

  • jjjoy

they did a flash forward in ep 1 of the season to Emily being shot in her wedding gown. we’re nowhere near that in the current episode though. she’s on-and-off engaged with Daniel. as of the last ep it was back on and they’ve set a date for 8/8 (DOUBLE INFINITY omgz like her tattoo). Victoria is still scheming to pull them apart. charlotte’s no longer team emily. and there’s some mystery surrounding Victoria’s long lost son (who is now Nolan’s lover). Aiden is also “working” for Victoria while really still working for Emily. Jack knows she’s Amanda and wants her to finish her Revenge duties.

i still watch this for all the whisper-acting and the Nolan/Emanda BFF team but it’s gotten pretty cray.

    • papillon

Actually I heard the wedding’s only about a month away. We should be getting some answers by about Christmas time.

  • http://foodycat.blogspot.co.uk/ foodycatAlicia

Nolan, you are walking a woman down the aisle. Get your hands out of your fucking pockets.

  • KateShouldBeWorking

Not that I’d trade my dad in for the world but I want a do-over where he and Gabriel Mann walk me down the aisle.

  • marlie

Nolan looks AH-MAZING. Her dress is pretty – and typical for the Hamptons – but that crease under her bust is making my eye twitch.

    • decormaven

My first thought as well. That’s a gorgeous gown, but the fit is no bueno.

  • NinjaCate

YOU. ARE. MISSING. THE. BITCHFACE! Victoria has been serving it up deliciously this season.
She’s marrying Daniel. She gets shot in that dress though, so I guess we’re about to get some answers soon.

  • Clydette Wantland

I, for one, miss TLo’s recaps of Revenge. Emily has been VERY busy this season. She is hanging on by a thread.

    • NinjaCate

Me too! I ALMOST asked on twitter if they were still watching, but I know they said they were slowing down on the recaps so…. :(

  • Cameron Turner

It is so good this season even thought she didn’t get very revengy into a couple of episodes in… you should totally catch up..

  • titaness25

Who cares. I think it’s Queen Vic’s baby boy. But I’mma just sit here and believe that she’s marrying Nolan, because I ship that ship so hard I can’t even.

    Also *drool*.

  • luluransom

Gabriel Mann is the suavest looking man EVER. No help on the plot Uncles, I only watch to see what he’s wearing.

  • CarrieBaby

It’s gotten so good this season. You should definitely start watching again

  • quiltrx

He looks positively dreamy! I’m a sucker for tails (I’m still swooning over Russell Crowe at the Oscars all those years ago!)

  • http://frankbettecenter.org/ sleah_in_norcal

not a very happy bride. and why is she lifting her skirt up in the middle pic? looks like she’s inviting the whole crew to crawl up in there.

  • NBG

There’s someone in these pictures besides Gabriel Mann? I’ll take your word for it!

  • Kat

I guess I’m in the opposite corner than a lot of the people here. I am slowly getting more and more bored and disgusted with Revenge. The crap with Jack is beyond irritating. I’ve had to turn off the TV several times because he is BEYOND irritating. “You said you would finish this. Now I’m going to blackmail you.” “Blaaah, I’m a cranky man with ugly hair the audience is supposed to sympathize with.” “My life is in danger but I’m going to finish this and abandon my young son with some unknown person to ensure you finish this”

    Beyond irritating.

Yes, Dickless (Declan morphed into Dicklen which morphed into Dickless) is finally gone, but the teenaged angst pouring out of Jack is intolerable. Charlotte is just some whiny bitch who flip-flops who she’s pissy with, Victoria’s new son is just annoying, and the story is growing tired. They would be smart to end it this season. It’s absolutely not worth watching. Especially since they apparently have one designer doing the dresses for both Victoria and Charlotte. Those strappy bondage dresses are just ugly.

    • papillon

I’m enjoying the show but I agree about Jack and Charlotte. SO tired of Jack’s attitude. I hoped he would stay gone when he took Carl away in the last episode but unfortunately that was not to be. Those two slow things down too much and I hate how Emily feels like she has to fill Jack in on every plan (and hiccup in said plans) now, ugh.

    • SunnysMom

I so agree with the boring tube/mummy dress choices for Victoria. Girl has worn the same dress in every single epi, just in different colors. She doesn’t even look that good in them (she CAN pull it off, but I am just soooo bored). Costumers could go nuts with her character’s wardrobe. I don’t get it. And she’s in them night and day.

So many of the story lines are so tedious now, but at least they did away with the “Initiative” and the other crap I couldn’t figure out. However, I love the Nolan/Patrick story line and think those two boys are so good together. They need to make them more central and tidy up the other loose ends and odd characters. And for the love of God, do something with Jack’s hair.

The wedding seemed like an afterthought with a ho-hum dress and not a single change in Emily’s hair style. I was dumbfounded by the idea of a “family honeymoon” and thought it was preposterous that suddenly Lydia is along like it’s no big deal. Way too many leaps in story line and too many implausible goings on, but still better than last year. At the end I couldn’t help hoping that Emily would never be found and the story line would shift to Nolan/Patrick.

I would say it is worth catching up on, but the thing is headed for a serious decline unless the writers can somehow breathe lift into it over the break.

  • Danielle

IS SHE WEARING PANTS UNDER THAT DRESS? If so, well done!

    • Qitkat

I hadn’t noticed that til you mentioned it. What a great idea. Some designer ought to run with this idea. The removable poofy skirt so the bride can dance all night in comfort and still look stylish.

  • Linda LaPaz

I loves me a tall, slim man in a cutaway jacket.

  • lrhoff

It’s a blast, as usual. You really should reconnect….

  • papillon

I stopped watching halfway through last season because I got bored but it’s picked up a lot this season. It’s fun again! And Emily has had some fabulous outfits. She’s marrying Daniel but she still has feelings for Aiden and Jack.

Gabriel looks gorgeous here. The stylists have been so kind to him this season. He looks dapper in almost every single shot. I really dislike Emily’s dress though. It’s kind of bland and unflattering, imo, although I do like that it gets shorter. I wish they had chosen something more showstopping. It’s her wedding day! She’s worn nicer dresses to barbecues.

  • willworktomorrow

Wow, a lesbian wedding on Revenge! Oh, wait….
