“My colors are Blush and Bashful.”
My single biggest complaint with Elie Saab is that he’s way too fond of peach and odd shades of pink for my taste.
Mine are white and clear.:-) They make a terrific combination for band uniforms.
I started liking this more when I got past the pink.
I still hate sheer overlays but the Charlotte in me kinda loves this collection as a whole.
This collection didn’t grab me until it got to the teal colors. Then I liked it until it got to the black lace. Maybe D & G are to blame, but I’m just over black lace anything for a good while. Overall, nice, but not mind blowing collection.
It lost me for good at the teal lace, haha.
My opinion on this collection is pretty much the same… enjoyed the opening looks, drooled over the teals, found some of the black lace looked too much like lingerie.
Started off rather rough for me, but got better as it went along. The dark pink and emerald are pretty, as is the second smaller black print.
I see that the lace trend has not yet run its course. 70% of this looks like lingerie to me.
elie saab’s into the lace for the long run.
Same old Elie Saab but i still love it thou…dont like the pink maybe its too bright for me
I can’t say I love every piece, but I adore Elie Saab. Always feminine, with an edge, and beautifully detailed.
My very favorite is the black/silver halter gown (with the high neck, though I like the v-one too) with flowers at the bottom.
He’s one of my favorite designers, not because he is innovative or fashion forward, as he’s not, but simply because he knows how to dress women and make them look beautiful. He seldom overdesigns, but just picks beautiful materials and colors and puts them to good silhouettes. This is so disappointing lace and sheer. What happened? I do like thewhites with vivid floral pattern, but most just left me disappointed.
WANT the hot pink maxi the last girl in pink (is that Jourdan Dunn?) is wearing. Love the emerald and floral print, too. So pretty! Hope to see lots of ladystars killing it in these gowns during awards season.
This is what you wear at Canyon Ranch while recuperating from your last eye lift.
Most of this collection is lovely, but all this sheer is making me seriously cranky.
Have designers looked at any actual women lately?
Those were also my thoughts! I’ve gotten numb to the sheer. My brain turns off as soon as I see it now. And yeah, I can’t see myself or most women being able to pull off sheer anything.
Swings from matronly to twee, from prissy to risque, from prom to funeral. I can’t get a hold on it. Plus, all that lace just makes my skin itch; it never looks comfortable. There are some undeniably pretty pieces, but I couldn’t say I love the collection, as a whole.
Loving the peach and teal.
Love everything in teal.
The teal is a beautiful shade. My daughter is a teal fanatic and wears teal a lot. Her office is even painted in teal!
The definition of OF COURSE.
Love that saturated Green. Beautiful if not very imaginative.
Is this the diffusion line? It looks so much cheaper than traditional Elie Saab. It did get better and better as the collection wore on, but the lace seemed decidedly slapped on.
Nothing earth shattering but I love the whole collection, its gorgeous, feminine, free-flowing and I love the pinks and whites with colorful floral. Simply love it!
The florals are flat-out gorgeous. I liked the whole collection, save some clunkers in black.
I scrolled down and up really fast and it was really pretty how the colors all related to one another.
I’ll take one of each please!
It’s all very Elie Saab, not that that’s a bad thing. It’s just the expected same ole same ole.
Sorry Elie, just not feeling it. Opening with Pepto Bismal pink was not a good idea.
Does Cate Blanchett wear Elie Saab? She should. Because several of these would have been amazing on her instead of the sad lace slip from the earlier post.
I think its kinda pretty
Little too much lace, floral, and sheer to be impressed by the collection overall but some of the more minimal pieces are stunning.
Well, that was a roller coaster of emotions. Sheers! boobs! make them stop!! Ooo pretty, LOVE, LOVE, nice, black sheer panel skirts, WHYYYYY! I need to go lay down now.
everything teal and black for me please! I might start to wear dresses more than 2 times a year with those gowns.
The green gown and the white gown with the floral midsection (or it might be a jumpsuit, not sure) are stunners.
Teal lace? You’re kidding me, right?
Some nice things going on in the less flowery and fussy white dresses, but darker-skinned models would have showed them to better effect. The eye makeup on one of the asian models is frighteningly bad. Consider facial structure, makeup techs! Makeup is not one size fits all.
I thought it was one of the more beautiful spring collections. Lots of white, which seemed a bit much, but loved the floral.
I’m speechless.. this is so chic, so beautiful, so amazing! It’s simply stunning!
I’m liking the stuff you all aren’t: the peach and white and black. Not a huge fan of that magenta/fuchsia or deep teal, although they are very striking. I’m sure we’ll see a lot of this on the RC.
Some damned purty stuff here.
i often like elie saab, but this is mostly not doing it for me. it’s the high round necks and puffed or bell shaped sleeves with the flouncy skirts that send it to fifties good girl territory. also don’t like the solid binding around the neck and down the front like a placket. there is too much plain white and plain black (i am so bored with this). like everyone else i do love the teal, and also like the section with the bright flowers embroidered or printed on white.
Monotonous and edited in such an unsophisticated way….” this is our white group, this is our Green group, thiis is our print group”! Break it upa bit!
Pretty, although some of these dresses look like they weigh about one hundred pounds with all that beading. That set of Pepto Bismol pink outfits at the beginning is still scarred into my brain and not in a good way.
I love that coral romper so much!
I like some of the white-and-floral and black-and-floral pieces, but Elie Saab is coming dangerously close to “of course” territory for me.
Nothing innovative, but pretty clothes. Nice use of sheers (no nipples!), some pretty colors, and print, which is unusual for him. Lots of RC dresses
Liking some of the white/florals and teals. Everything else is…same ol’?
On a styling note, I’m shocked at how ill and gaunt they’ve made some of these models look. Obviously they’re professional lithe, but the whole vibe is a bit too ‘recuperating at the TB sanatorium’ for my taste.
Wear the white when you marry him and the black when you murder him! Everything else is seductive and pretty and oh so bridesmaid.
I see nothing but bridal, bridesmaid and wedding party for these outfits. Maybe because it’s the same 8 fabrics used over and over, like how David’s Bridal has the same colors in multiple styles… something for each one of your bridesmaids, even the pants. It’s all very pretty don’t get me wrong, but more pretty bridal collection than pretty ready to wear.
Some of these pieces look like some leftovers from a Zuhair Murad collection.
